I should be really excited to live this close to a Chipotle. But sadly, this location just isn't cutting it for me. I have been a huge fan of Chipotle ever since my first visit to one in Santa Barbara in 2003. I would regularly drive out of my way for a barbacoa burrito. I once even made my Dad make an illegal u-turn on a busy Austin street so I could get my Chipotle fix. I figured living within a mile of a Chipotle was going to be bad. My first visit, the food was bland, bland, bland. The salsas were weak, as was the barbacoa, and the chips. What the heck, Chipotle? I just figured it was a fluke. We went back a couple months later, and it was good, so we went back a few more times. I think last night might have been one of my last trips to Chipotle, this one specifically, and maybe the whole chain. In addition to my burrito bowl being served cold, the food was bland. The kicker though? Portions! I can eat a lot, but I can rarely finish a burrito from Chipotle, and when I do, I usually am so full afterward that the mere mention of more food makes me want to cry. The burritos are so good that I can't help to eat all the deliciousness. In addition to the food being natural, organic, etc, it was delicious, with huge serving sizes. It seems like that former McDonald's ownership has turned Chipotle into just another Chain Fast-Food restaurant. They seemed to have made the portions smaller, and hoped we wouldn't notice(I'm lookin at you McDonalds... you think I didn't notice my Big Mac was smaller? Oh, I did!). Not only did I finish my whole burrito bowl, but I went and got a cookie afterward. I think the portion was at least 1/3 smaller than my last trip to Chipotle less than a month ago. The reason I liked places like Chipotle and Panera is because they were different from the other chain fast-food places that are all about keeping costs low. They were all about good quality food, at decent prices. Not only are the prices higher though, the quality and the portions of the food are lower. I don't know how much longer I can put up with this sort of business practices.

A good Chipotle. Parking is not a nightmare, so that's always nice. Been here a few times and it's not usually too busy. Right by Whole Foods and Peet's Coffee, too.

This is definitely the BEST Chipotle I've been to. The food is fabulous and the service is usually quick even with a huge line.

I'm not sure what they did, but Chipotle has gone down hill in the last couple of years. The barbacoa used to have this great spicy hotness, and now it's a shadow of itself. Comparing Chipotle-past vs. Chipotle-present is like watching Carrie Fisher in Star Wars right before you watch her in her one-woman theatre performance (Wishful Drinking) -- the decrease in appeal is palpable. Yes, it's still a good value. Yes, it's still fresh. But the food is far less flavorable and enjoyable than it used to be. "There's nothing here. Move along." I suggest Baja Fresh or Taco Del Mar instead.

They have great service and delicious food! Bigger portions than the location in Bellevue, and it's delicious! I'll definitely be back!

I have been to many Chipotle's in the area and really like their food and also their philosophy of local and fresh ingredients. This rating is solely for the customer experience and not the food overall. Unfortunately, I live close to this one and the people behind the counter are really making sure you are not going over your allowed calorie intake for lunch. I have been to other places where I can hardly finish my bowl and have some small leftovers for later. In this store, you can be happy if you are getting full at all, forget about leftovers. We call them the "sprinklers", people that put half a spoon of it in the bowl and when you ask to get some more (I just want the amount I get in other stores), they scoop up a tiny amount and "sprinkle" it over your food. Really? Does this chain have to tell their employees to save on the customers food? I hate beans and I usually like rice instead, but even when I say that I don't need beans at all, the sprinkling continues. They could just heap up a nice portion of rice and be done with it. Instead I have to ask again and again if I can have some more, sometimes I am just tired of playing the sprinkling game with them and I give up. I was unlucky today to get up to them when they are close to being out of rice and chicken. This always means, they save everywhere they can, leaving me with not much in my bowl. I found only a handful of pieces of chicken in my bowl, maybe in the end a 3/4 spoonful of rice and some salad. I could and maybe should ask for every single item they have to get the bowl full, but to be honest... they should accept that not everyone likes beans or sour cream and other things and get more of the food they really like. I am not the only one thinking this way, all of my friends and co-workers experience the same when we go here? So it seems to be a store issue.

My 5 star rating for this Chipotle is based mainly on their great take-out service. Their system is so fast I barely have time to interact with the staff and judge how good the service is, but the interactions I have had are always pleasant. Basically I can log in and have an email link sent to everyone in the office where they can pick what they want. I set a time to pick it up, pay online, and head straight to the cash register skipping the line. They always have my large order ready on time and they don't mess anything up. When you are picking up lunch for the office 5 times a week this is a big deal, it is a huge pain to start unpacking everything and realize I'm one meal short or there is a big pile of chicken on a vegetarian lunch. The food quality is very consistent, but I've never really had a problem with Chipotle and consistency. I love the carnitas bowl with beans, fajita veggies, guac, corn salsa, and hot red sauce. YUM. Their chips are to die for, they toss them with lime and flake salt. I honestly can't think of anywhere that I have had better chips.

I looooooovee Chipotle, and this location is no exception. They make everything exactly how I want it, and they do it quickly, which means I can get to eating sooner! If you haven't yet, be sure to try a margarita. They're made strong but still taste delicious.

I am always a fan of fresh cooking and food with integrity. I really like Chipotle for using 40% organic veggies while supporting local family farms. They also work hard on sourcing meat with farmers & ranchers who are raising their animals right. This location is really close to my work place so anytime I need a healthy lunch, I would come here. It can get busy but the line moves pretty fast and you can sit outside when the suns out. I usually order the Burrito. It consist of a flour tortilla, choice of cilantro-lime rice, pinto or vegetarian black beans, meat (braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak) or guacamole, salsa and cheese or sour cream. My typical order is a burrito with barbacoca (170 calories), pinto beans (120 calories), cilantro lime rice (130 calories), corn salsa (80 calories) and sour cream (120 calories) which totals to be 620 calories. If you replace the barbacoca with chicken, it will be 650 calories. Not only does it taste fresh but your taste buds will explode with the fresh ingredients for less than $10. The guacamole is made fresh daily plus it is very good but I usually skip it because they charge an arm and a leg for just a tiny container. Chips are also made fresh every day, with a squeeze of real lime and kosher salt. I really enjoy the chips and salsa but it has to be on my cheat days because it is 570 calories with alot of sodium. They also have BEER!!!! I can only drink beer in the summer time so I can blame the redness on my face on the sun tan sitting outside. LOL. Average Entree: $6.00 Hours: 11am-10pm TIP: If you are a vegetarian, skip the pinto beans because it is cook with small amounts of bacon & meats. You also have the right to have the staff to switch gloves to be careful or highly sensitive. Only the flour tortilla has gluten in it.

Here's the deal . . . I love the Chipotle chain . . . the ingredients always seem fresh, colorful, and flavorful. I was turned onto the chain a few years ago when a friend who had some medical issues and was advised by a hospital nutritionist that you really couldn't go wrong at Chipotle. So on the criterion of food taste and quality, I'd give it 5 stars. My issue with this particular location is that it can be very difficult if not impossible to find a place to sit, and that deters me from visiting. What good is excellent food if you can't eat it in a pleasant environment? Mexican food is not very conducive to eating in the car, and it also loses a little something in transit if it is packed to go. So on the criterion of "environment", I give it 1 star, so on balance that yields 3 stars. Unless fire codes would prohibit it, It seems there is some room for this location to add a couple of tables, and perhaps they could install high counters along the perimeter (windows) of the place to cater to parties of one. They do have some additional seating outdoors, but on a typical Seattle day where it is 44 degrees and raining, that's not an attractive option. Particularly annoying are customers who walk in the door and "reserve" a table before they even get in line, by draping a jacket over a chair or setting their keys on a table. So, bottom line, great choice if you like eating lunch before 11:30 AM or after 1:30 PM.

I am addicted to Chipotle and it's awesomeness, so I have to admit that my review is going to be a little biased. This place can't be beat. The service is fast, you get to order exactly what you want and the servers comply without hesitation, and the amount of food you get for your money is the gold standard I hold all other restaurants up to.

Love this place! Every time I come here it's always busy. Chipotle is worth the wait though. I come here when I'm looking for something healthy and light on the wallet. No processed foods here. Everything is fresh. Want an alternative to those nasty hot dogs or burgers you've been scarfing down for lunch this week? Come to Chipotle! The lime/cilantro rice is very tasty and I absolutely LOVE their guacamole with chips. This is not some runny green liquid that places like Taco Bell consider guacamole, this is REAL guacamole and it is BOMB! Not in the mood for a big burrito? Well they offer salads and you can save calories and go tortilla-less with a burrito bowl. So, put that Big Mac down and do your body a favor and eat some Chipotle.

I'm a picky eater so the setup for Chipotle works great for me. I pick what I want and get a customized burrito. The barbacoa is my favorite! The only negative I can think of is that there's always a line when I visit... which is a testament to the food here.

  • Morgan R.

Good cheap eats, with tasty ingredients I usually get a burrito bowl -- carnitas are my favorite, though chicken and barbacoa are good too. I love mixing their hot salsa, the corn salsa and guacamole -- and the great thing is that you get exactly what you want. It's a real meal at fast food prices. And it has flavor, both from the marinades and cooking, and from the variety of salsas and other ingredients. And I love that I can get in and out in a few minutes, even when it's busy.

I hadn't been to a Chipotle in months, but when the coupons came out for buy one get one free, i think we went four times in a week and a half. I used to be really obsessed with them but got fairly sick of it. It was good to go back after a while, i forgot that i really do like it. I don't think i'll ever be as into it as i was at first, but i'll stop by every once in a while. No matter how hungry i am, i can never finish that burrito. The flavor of the rice and consistency of the tortilla are great. Plus they have my fav tortilla chips eva.

I love this place and I am addicted to the food. The people are super friendly and the atmosphere and music are great. I have an office nearby and love to grab lunch there a few times a week. The patio is ideal in the summertime. I really like that they use local farmers where possible and only healthy ingredients. I am currently hooked on hard shell tacos but going back to the burrito soon!!

Aint fail me now, not ever. This place brings back memories of California. I havent found a legit carne asada burrito spot so were left with steak burritos with limey rice, sourcream, cheese, n red sauce. If youre not a fan you should try their different iterations of orders from the given burrito, to tacos, to bowls n what have you. if youre still not a fan then theres qdoba n taco del mar i guess. Whenever im in the mood for a fatty Frisco burrito i come here. Stretchy tortilla burriitos wrapped in foil.. good ol C of A-L. I stick to the big guns, thats why i Chipotle

Chipotle is as authentic Mexican as Taco Bell, only it's higher up in the totem pole of burritos and tacos. It serves "food with integrity" -- sorta back-to-roots, naturally raised ingredients kind of thing. WHY GO THERE? After watching the Future of Food and Food Inc., I suffered from post-fastfood stress disorder. My guilty pleasure of McChicken and Sourdough Jack is all guilt now, no lingering pleasure. My fast-food withdrawals made me sweat beads of lard at night. Chipotle is in my 12-step program to recover from the fast-food disorder. WHATCHA GOT? At Chipotle, the concept is simple and the offering is straight forward like a cafeteria. You line up, you choose your meat (pork, steak or chicken), you choose what's in it (beans, rice, guac, etc.), you choose your sides and drink. My food baby is named Burrito. Don't judge, men can get pregnant now! Just like seahorses. YOU GOT SERVED. Fast, efficient, no frills service. All stores have the industrial elements to evoke simplicity and match the food philosophy. I like it. No clown with big red shoes. No exec with big white head. No king with perpetual smile in white stockings. I'm on my way to recovery.

Filthy. Can't believe we actually ate there. Tables were covered with food debris and so were the floors. Food tasteless. The guacamole had two big chunks of unripe avocado in it. We won't be back. Yuck! The tables remained dirty the entire time of our visit.

Good for a fast lunch or quick bite. It's a chain though, so you should already know this pointless drabble babble. What I'm doing right now is the equivalent to reviewing a McDonald's... So, my question is: Yelp, why are you prompting me to review a restaurant I was so bored sitting at that my brain's attention deficit couldn't stand not scrolling through my phone until I randomly saw my YELP! app and then proceeded to check in to fill some void in time which somehow made me feel more productive while waiting in line for a stomach filling burrito? Which brings me to another point, because during this venture I remember being so bored that I was reading my soda's cup and then I remember being amazed at the lame marketing campaign I found on the cup... So, person whose job it is to read Yelp! reviews for Chipotle, listen up.... just because you offer different ingredients to put in a burrito shell, taco shell, or bowl... I want you to inform you, that as a consumer, making the decision to not include sour cream, or to switch from pork to steak bits, or to change the type of salsa you would normally use from pico to corn or habanero ... any of those things, they are not drastic enough to even mention how many options are available at your store on your soda cup. So, what I suggest is going with the alternative slogan for your soda cups, "practically Q'doba, but without queso." I will admit, your burritos are delicious though.

I wasn't sure how to star-rate this because I love Chipotle and I love their food. This post is particularily for the service quality at the Redmond location. Lately I've been ordering my food online for pick-up via their website or my iPad and have been able to avoid the long lines during lunch hours. The issue at hand is my order hasn't been as accurate the last few times I've ordered for pick-up. There's always an ingredient missing and it's always a slight disappointment because I have to drive across one end of Redmond from my work to get to Chipotle on the other. Most times, I'm not thinking of checking my bag at the counter because it gets so busy in there. But it's always a disappointment to get back to the office and realize that they've forgotten something like the salsa, or the beans, etc. This wasn't an issue in the beginning when I first started ordering for pick-up about 5 months ago. They surely can't mess up when I'm placing my order in person through the line, but the person making those to-go orders in the back has been seriously slacking.

Best Chipotle on the Eastside. The ingredients they use always taste fresh and juicy and their staff is generally considerate and won't mess up your order. Chipotle at other locations are not as consistent for some reasons and I've regretted visiting them at times (esp the one at Bellevue Crossroads). My favorite is the veggie burritio bowl with extra sour cream and hot salsa, yummy !!!

Food is great. I love all the health conscious and local options. Service not so much. They basically just slop everything on without looking, especially one girl who I'm pretty sure has it out for all guys. Sorry I'm not your type, if you know what I mean.

Steak salad is my favorite!!! I always go around 11:15am because there's still no line. If you go around 11:45am - 12:30pm, there's usually a long line...

Chipotle is consistent in being my favorite fast food burrito restaurant. The menu is simple, however there is a million different combinations of ways you could configure your burrito. I would recommend trying the chicken burrito, black beans, mild salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. These burritos are huge, so be prepared! I find these burritos to be a lot less greasy than taco del mar or other fast food burrito joints. I also strongly recommend the guacamole and chips. I'll keep coming back as long as they don't make any drastic changes.

Back home, Chipotle was the only Mexican fast food chain any self-respecting Mexican would admit eating at. Why? Because it's damn good. It's not at all authentic Mexican food, rather, it's American Mexican but in the best possible way. Technically, everything is wrong here. The tortillas remind me of paper, both aesthetically and by their flavor. The rice is bland and obviously made in huge vats in the back. The meat doesn't have a ton of flavor, but the flavor it does have seems artificial. The sauces have no personality and lack any real flavor. The guacamole doesn't taste fresh. I wouldn't touch the beans by themselves. By some fluke in the space time continuum, however, all of that together equals a gigantic satisfying burrito. I don't question it, I just eat it. And then I usually have a stomach ache throughout the day... but that is besides the point. Their chips are also good, though they are very heavy on the salt. The fact that this particular restaurant always has a mix of Seattle indie pop and Spanish rock is a plus.

This is pretty much the only mexican place I can eat at. I simply can not take the traditional way of mexican cooking with lard and such :P I love that you can customize your order (so it's healthy), and that they use bio-degradable plates. The only two down sides: 1- the meat (other than chicken) is almost always TOO salty! I have to ask extra rice (with the Fajita bowl) to be able to swallow the salty meat. 2- why are they using plastic utensils with the bio-degradable plates??

  • Rene B.

The food was good as usual. However, the staff barely smiled and seemed rushed. There were not that many people eating there at 11:30 am, so I suspect the employees may be under some pressure of some sort. Good food! Please smile when I pay!

Chipotle has redeemed itself. I went with the chicken burrito today instead of the grissle steak, and I gotta say it was delish :)

Chipotle's a very simple restaurant. You choose the type of burrito (or taco or quesadilla) you want, the meat, salsa, and toppings, and that's it. You can get chips as well, and the usual drinks, but that's all I can recall off the top of my head. A pretty simple menu. I like it for several reasons. It provides a heck of a lot of food at a reasonable price, I don't need to spend a lot of time thinking about what I want, it's quick, and much of their menu is organic. In short, it's fast food that I don't feel bad about eating.

Okay so pretty much I'm a local, so Chipotle is very popular in my area. I am a very healthy eater and I absolutely love getting the naked burrito-so many less calories! It's so fresh and not that expensive. It's a great social environment and they keep it clean and service is super quick!

I only go to Chipotle for one thing. Its not for the burritos or tacos or quesadillas. It is for the steak burrito bowl. Its pretty much a salad without the burrito wrapping but it is very good. I always add extra lettuce to convert it into a salad. Add some corn, picco de gallo, hot sauce, black beans and a little sour cream, and its the shizzzzzit!

Just because it's free doesn't mean you should eat it. I got a coupon in the mail, so I tried this crap factory with my son last weekend. The line was like 400 hours long. The store is brand-spanking new and apparently the front of the house staff has never worked in a restaurant before. That being said, the food was better prepared than in the Bellevue store (that I don't like either). This place is another big burrito joint, so if you dig those you might like it. You can drive your hummer across the parking lot to Whole Wallet when your done too. That being said, I BEG YOU please visit Oobas instead if you're all the way in Redmond. Pay the little guy a visit and see what real fresh Mex can be like. Check out my friend Chris O's review about the competition. He says it better than I can.

If you want a consistent burrito the size of your head, try Chipotle. Not a big menu but it does the job. I have been here MANY times and always get the chicken burrito with the sour cream on the side. It fills you up and tastes pretty good. The lines can be long during peak times but that is usually because of a newbie that doesn't know what they are getting and decides at the counter:( If you can, order online or fax and skip the line when you pick it up.

Chipotle Mexican Grill seems busy every time I visit, for good reason. The food is both delicious and healthy. There is a nice variety of fillings to choose from to build the perfect burrito or salad. This is a nice alternative to fast food joints for takeout food.

Burritos the size of bricks. The only way I can ever justify eating here is when I can talk my wife into splitting one with me. It's not that I /couldn't/ eat the whole thing on my own, but one peek at the calorie content made me shiver. Seriously, fresh ingredients and all -- and mmm does it end up tasting good, but seriously, 4 grams of fat and 160 calories packed into the rice? It's bad. If you look, you may regret it. But mmm...it tastes so good...

While it has now been surpassed by Qdoba, Chipotle used to be my favorite chain burrito. Though the steamed tortillas are slightly rubbery and not terribly authentic, all of the ingredients are consistently of high quality and predictable flavor. My favorite burrito here is the veggie fajita (buttery cilantro/lime rice, black beans, grilled bell peppers and onions, guacamole) with hot red chile and roasted corn salsas and shredded Jack cheese. For just over $5, you're completely and healthily stuffed, and your mouth burns just the right amount. If you want it a little spicier and tangier, the green jalapeno Tabasco they provide is the perfect complement to any burrito.

Semi fast food in a retro atmosphere. Prices are really reasonable. I think their HUGE burritos are flavorful and rather tasty . The rice is also grubbin. If you are tired of or have outgrown Taco Bell and Taco Time and are looking for some good fast Mexican food I would suggest this place. They make it in front of you as you go down the assembly line choosing your options until you have created your burrito swaddled in foil.

so after eating here a few times and favoring the soft barbacoa tacos, its come to my attention that barbacoa is actually prepared using barbequed cow face. i have only one thing to say... mmm.. thats good face. actually, i dig chipotle grill. the burritos are el grande and muy tasty but the soft tacos are da bomb. i gotta recommend the chips - some lime enfused conconction that'll make you nod in approval at the pure zestiness. the place is totally easy to find and is almost too accessible if you're driving by on redmond way. we've been to this location probably about 10 times since they've opened and we've never stood in line for longer than 2 minutes. plus now they've got online ordering so you can order, pickup and snarf quicker than you can find oobas.

I happen to like this place. The burritos are huge, and you can get a beer to go with it, mmmmmm. Staff was very friendly both times I went, and I plan to go back. Yes, it is a typical burrito joint, but I happen to like those. And lastly, I've haven't had to wait in line yet.

Fast, cheap and surprising good for fast food. The steak bowl is my favorite but the chicken, carnitas and shredded beef are good too. One complaint is the salt. On a few occasions, they totally bombarded the food with salt and made me thirsty the rest of the day.

My husband and I always get food from there when it is late or we are in a hurry, since the food can't be considered fatty fast food. We don't feel guilty eating there :) The ingredients are always fresh and the stuff is always friendly. We like to eat outside during summer time, it is just a nice little restaurant. Usually, we order from our iPhone app and so far so good. There was just one time we ordered and for some reason, it was not one the time we got there and the employee was apologizing to us many times and we said it was not a big deal. Then, when we paid, he gave us a free drink. I was very happy because we didn't complain, nothing, but they tried hard to make things better. Great costumer service. Those little nice actions make a big difference. I definitely recommend that restaurant to anyone!

The food is excellent. It's a fresh alternative to Mexican food. I do have to admit that I will have a problem every visiting this location again though. While I was in line the last time I was there, there was an employee loading chips into the fryer (in plain view) and while she was dropping the chips in, she was also eating them!!! I'm sure this goes on in restaurants, but give me a break! You should NOT eat the food that you are serving your employees! GROSS!!!

    (3)
  • Tim B.

I love the food but the service at this particular Chipotle is horrible. There are ALWAYS more employees on break than working and they don't come help when it's busy. none of the employees are friendly. This branch used to be on top of it but has gone down hill!

Rude. I went in there with a friend and I really wanted a seafood quesadilla (but they obviously don't have seafood) so I just got a plain quesadilla. The girl who rung me up was very rude and short with me. She charged me for a burrito with extra meat...??? Never going back there.

  • Natasha G.

I'm a humongous chipotle fan! The employees here aren't the friendliest but the cafeteria style service keeps that from completely ruining your visit. Beware if you use their app; there's been more than one occasion that the only thing waiting for me when I got there for my order was super-confused Chipotle employees and an invitation to the back of the line. Plus, sometimes they like to spice up your visit by giving you extra, extra salsa so that the bag can get soaked and bust on you. Hence the loss of a star. To end, the line here is, usually, bananas so plan to spend some quality time with your fellow Chipotle-cravers. Thankfully, the occasional service issues don't ruin the taste of the food! Enjoy!

  • J L.

Oh my ugliness! I was served with small chunks of "CHARCOAL" in my chicken wrap. What a horrible experience. The portion is very small, so for $7.50, I could get a Chinese takeout that last me two meals. To top off the worst, the green belt peppers are like soggy like soft soaked in water, Yikes!!! Common, if you make that much money, make your wrap right! If you want more and better quality, stay away from Chipotle, and try Chinese, Japanese or Korean takeout next door or anywhere in Redmond! Cheers.

I've lived in four major cities the last four years. Had Chipotle in each of them at a variety of locations. This is by far the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. This is the 6th time I've come, so I guess I've given them plenty of chances but their service is horrible. It's always packed and the lines are usually long, but so are most Chipotles. Their service line is usually fully staffed. Yet still incredibly slow. Checking out is also slower than any other Chipotle I've been to. I really hate giving Chipotle anything but compliments but this location sucks.

This location: slowest one. I've probably been here 50+ times over the years (slow chipotle is still chipotle). No matter if the restaurant is busy or empty, the line is super long due to the employees being impressively slow. Flavor and portions are what you would expect though. I'm basing this off of being to almost every chipotle in pierce and king county multiple times. Yah, im fat. I'm writting this whole thing while hungry and grumpy in line. . 9pm on sunday and i had time to install yelp and write a review. Still in line...

Chipotle is getting more popular, and so it begs comparisons to other stores. First of all, the Chipotle in the University District in Seattle is just as good but does not come with ridiculously long and slow lines. The U District's store also has long lines, but at least they move fast. The Redmond store has a bunch of people behind the counter, but ordering still seems to take forever. And then there's the Jimmy John's store that's really close to this one; they have much faster service as well. This store in particular isn't bad overall; it's just hard to recommend it over other stores. The menu is the same as what it would be like at other stores. Expect burritos to be fairly sizable and to run you about seven or eight dollars unless you decide to add guacamole. The number of customers they have to deal with is massive, so they won't have time to get too personal with you. That still doesn't explain why the line moves so slowly, though. That's really my biggest issue with this location. If they would just fix that, I could appreciate this place a lot more.

I love Chipotle so much that it pains me to give them a two star review. However, this has got to be the place where Chipotle just hides away its slowest employees. The last time I visited there were at least five or six people working behind the counter and not one of them was moving faster than at a snail's pace! The employees I talked to were courteous, but they all seemed very exasperated to be working there, and it took over 10 minutes to get through the five-person line I was standing in. If you just need to get your Chipotle fix (like me!) then I would recommend you come during off-hours--but still expect a considerable wait time.

2-22-15 lunch THE GOOD: Flavor was what I expected THE BAD: service THE LOWDOWN: first off the line is long at lunch time... OK I get it, but as I'm done with my burrito now, it's still long. The guy starting everything off is slow and lackadaisical, doesn't care about his job or the customers... The guy finishing the burritos was the opposite. But unfortunately he can't wrap burritos without ruining them. Needless to say the slowsky at the start isn't doing the long line any favors and the guy mutilating each burrito isn't helping this experience. If your going today get a bowl.

Portions are absurdly small. I got maybe like 8 cubes of steak, barely half a scoop. I normally am a fan of chipotle for average but large burritos. This place gets the average right, but definitely not chipotles signature portions.

Blah. Chipotle is ok and this store is no different to any others I have been to. Same food same service, nothing to write home about. I generally always get the pork burrito bowl (hubby is a big fan) and its ok but as I said nothing amazing. I hate that you have to pay extra for guacamole, what is a burrito or burrito bowl without guacamole? This location is always heaving whenever we go and when you have a two year old time is of the essence, by the time you have waited in line and finally get to sit down she has lost patience and wants to run away! Stop charging for the guac, open another location so people don't have to wait so long and then I may be more impressed. No doubt I will be back given hubby loves it. Though I think he has been swayed towards a similar place which we didn't have in San Diego.

Will, I'm very sorry to hear you had a less than impressive meal from the Redmond Chipotle today. We certainly do want to make sure we're taking great care of our customers and that we're routinely tidying up the dining area. We also want to make sure our hair is tied back and that a hat tops our ensemble whenever we're preparing or serving food. I'll be in touch with our leadership team immediately so we can make sure we take better care of you next time around. I'd also be happy to get a meal-for-two card into the mail for you to enjoy. If you send over your postal address, I'll have this over to you in a flash. Sincerely, Amanda C

I love Chipotle. Great food, fresh, tasty. This location however, is my least favorite. The line is often long but even when short, the counter staff moves absurdly slow. The floors and tables are filthy. Every time I have visited. Food on the floor, drink station with wet sticky counter tops, tables in need of cleaning. On occasion, the tables are empty because nobody can find a clean place to sit. I highly recommend Chipotle, but suggest that you skip this location. There are others nearby that are better.

Side note before getting into the review of the actual location: I am giving a higher amount of stars to this location only because I like the people. Although there is a high volume of turnover which is expected, and while some employees aren't the most sociable. The majority are quite alright. Jobs are hard and dealing with customers in this area is tough. So the surrounding and corporate office definitely have something to do with it. Otherwise the company as a whole (corporate) gets 2 stars 1 if they didn't have all the lovely employees there. Review on Redmond Way location: Seems Chipotle went downhill since they have become so popular and placed high on the fast food chain pedestal. Although according to documentaries they are what will make fast food chains disappear but the reasons below will cause that to be insignificant. This location in particular isn't like the others I have been to (Tukwila, Issaquah, etc.) one of the other users mentioned how you used to be able to "fight from having the burrito fall apart" I agree with that! It used to be one could share a burrito with two maybe three people! Now, (and it is so typical fat American of me to say this) it is just overfilled with rice and beans or barely filled at all. Overfilling with rice and/or beans is, I get it, how you save money... But even when you pay for "extra meat" it's more like, "oh here is just a teaspoon more." Other locations add the same amount as the first scoop and even a bit more generous. And I am not sure if it is always the case but, I understand how busy a restaurant with its volume of customers get.. But listeners. You ask for a little rice you get more... I said "JUST a LITTLE." Which means instead of two gargantuan spoonfuls you get the same one gargantuan spoonful and a giant spoonful (slightly smaller by one grain)

This is probably one of the smaller locations I've been too or the franchise owner just decided to make the layout weird in here. Theirs no booth seating which is odd for a chipotle and the soda/utensil/sauces bar is oddly placed. Should be on the wall before the bathrooms and more seating should be their. Long line or short line this place is quick about turning customers threw the chipotle food bar experience. The mild sauce is always wet and mushy looking so I don't ever get it at this location. They completely ran out of coke one day so I had to return my drink. Which was frustrating because I only have a pop a couple times a month. I've also have had the crispy tacos here a few times with carnitas which is also super wet. Because just 10mins later to drive home they have turned the bottom of my crispy tacos into soggy tacos. Yuck! I'm not sure whose job it is but the tables here are never clean. I've only stopped and ate once at this actual store because of this problem otherwise I take it to go and eat at home. It's very disgusting. Lastly I feel sometime chipotle is a little expensive for what you get and the dinning experience that goes with it especially at this location.

Because of the integrity of the product, I prefer Chipotle over other similar places. What I don't appreciate is the negative looks/vibe I get when I ask for more chicken and beans (which they used to give plenty of before the recession) even though I skip all their add ons. The "bowl" used to be filled to the brim. Now they practically smile when they manage to get away with one small scoop of beans. It might be time to start cooking beans myself and dusting off the George Foreman. Having said that, it's nice to know that Chipotle still cares about animal welfare and the environment.

Worst chipotle location. They are so slow!! That long line you see? It's not that an abnormal number of people eat here, it's because it takes them forever to compile a burrito. I don't get it. Oh, and super stingy with portions. They practically use measuring cups and teaspoons to serve you. My last visit here, the girl scooped a small amount of rice into the burrito, saw it was small, thought about giving a bit more (she went into the rice and started making a smaller scoop to add, then decided against it). I just had to LOL. It was so bizarre.

I love chipotle. It's one of my favorite places to eat at. However this location is the slowest chipotle I've ever been to and that's why I'm taking away stars. I've been to other locations busier than this one with a line out the door but their lines move quickly. The Redmond chipotle has long lines that barely crawl. I was in line for 40 min once. Even when their line is short I've waited 20 mins!! It doesn't seem to matter what day or time. They are slow!!!

Standard Chipotle! Always consistent, if that's what you're in the mood for. Clean. Quick. Cheap. Fast. They have GF options which is nice. This place gets jam packed during work week lunch hour but they move pretty quickly. You can also fax in your order ahead of time, which we have done for work meetings- it is very convenient.

The price is right, food is tasty and healthy. I usually do take outs and the ambience isn't great to sit and eat there either. It is usually the case with any fast food but still keeping the cleanliness, ambience etc in mind I took off a star. My favorite is burrito bowl with chicken, wish guacamole was free with meat options as well like it is with veggie burritos. The chips and salsa are good, kids chips bag price is not much lower than full size though.

I consistently order from this location for my office and call in confirming my order and before I leave to pick it up. They always say my order will be ready when I arrive, however that is never the case! The last 3 time I have waited longer than 30 minutes for my food with little to no explanation. If I order something online, call to confirm twice, I expect that my food will be ready when I arrive. I can say for sure that this will be the last time I will be ordering from this location. Also, they stacked 5 burritos high in one bag and let's just say the one on the bottom didn't look much like a burrito:(

Although the service seems to have improved here since the last time I visited (3 mos. ago), the chicken meat was atrocious! I suppose if you only care for chicken thighs, then this is the Chipotle location for you. Seems to me they've taken a cost cutting measure here, and quality has suffered. Unfortunate. Also, the serving size of the salad dressing was miniscule.

Food is typical Chipotle, so not bad. Like the whole "food with integrity thing" they pride themselves on but find everything a little too salty, especially their chips. Kids seem to like the food though. However at this location tables are always dirty. Disgusting to try to eat in. And the wait times can be long. The few times I have been here, the line is to the door (lunch time during the week and early dinner on weekend). When the line is so long it just isn't worth the wait.

Every time I order lunch online it gets completely messed up. One or two times I let it slide but now it's just ridiculous. The receipt is 100% correct so I know it's not the way I'm ordering my meal. This time they forgot all of my topping, no sour cream, no corn salsa, no salsa at all...and no cheese. :(

Came here today around 1145 am and there was no line. For the price the quantity was perfect. The floors were clean and the staff looked happy. When we sat down the lines was long, but the line was moving fast. I am removing one star because there are not enough tables. The quality and quantity are better than Qdoba in Issaquah. I will be returning.

Chipotle has the potential to be the fastest custom ordered mexican food available. On Redmond Way, that potential is unceremoniously dumped in the garbage by a serious lack of staff during the dinner rush. A food prep station with room for 5 and a need for 5 people is routinely staffed by 2, instead.

Visited Chipotle for lunch and had a burrito. I was asked if I wanted guacamole, so I said yes, not realizing it was an extra cost topping. I paid for my burrito, then the cashier rang up the next person, then called me back to the register to tell me I owed him another $2 for the guacamole. I was shocked! I told him I didn't know it was an extra cost topping. He said I should have been told by the server, but he still wanted the $2 from me. I was with a coworker and was very embarrassed so paid him, which I shouldn't have done. Guacamole is listed with all the other toppings, and there is no sign to tell you it is an extra cost - at $2 which is also ridiculous. Never again, Chipotle, never again. I refuse to ever set foot in another one of your restaurants, and I tell this story to anyone who will listen. Shockingly bad service, especially embarrassing a customer!

Run-off-the-mill Chipotle. Food tastes like that from any other Chipotle. Parking is usually available with a Whole Foods parking lot next door when it is busy. Only :( is that they make a face when you point that they are skimping on the meat/lettuce (!) and ask them for a better portion.

Really, Chipotle? Right after I defend your honor to a coworker who says this location is terrible, you do this to me... you ruin me. First things first: Guy with the black hair and the blue streak -- you are amazing. You were friendly, helpful and were the only good part of this experience. You get five stars. In spite of the fact you probably haven't been working there very long, you soldiered on as your clueless coworkers chit-chatted and didn't even attempt to help you until you had a line stacked and they figured that people may notice that there were two of the five staff members actually doing something (one in the back area making rice, while three women stood around talking, seemingly taking an on-the-clock break). I've worked fast food. I know how it gets. Even if you have your own station... Even if one person can competently handle serving customers... If you can help rather than standing around doing nothing, you probably should. So Blue (as I will now refer to him) walked with us down the line, assembling our food for us. The rice wasn't fresh, so Blue was waiting for new rice. He was talking with my dinner group and explaining it would be a couple minutes for rice -- totally fine with us. One girl kept looking confused when she walked over to the hot bar and there was no rice. She repeated this process a few times. She didn't actually do anything, just was repeatedly surprised that the rice area was empty. By the time rice was finished, there had amassed a line of 6 or so people behind my group of three. One of the other staff members made a snarky remark that Blue needed to be trained on when to order more rice. Finally Blue got some assistance as someone stepped in to dollop on sour cream, guacamole and cheese. Another person stepped in to cashier. First person in our group got a discount (didn't have to pay for her guacamole) because she waited for rice. Nobody else got a discount, even though we all waited the same amount of time (not a big deal, but doesn't really make sense, either...). It was infuriating to watch as three people really did nothing while Blue worked his ass off. To make matters worse, I got back to work and all the meat in my burrito bowl was cold -- the barbacoa was not the delicious sous vide I love from Chipotle, it was really chewy gross hunks of cold meat (the steak was even worse, my bad for getting double meat!). I work a 5 minute drive away... really?! Blue... please, find a better place to work, you deserve more from your life. I hope your work ethic takes you far, far from this Chipotle. Props to the rice maker, too. But ugh -- it's going to be a long time before I stomach visiting this Chipotle again.

When I don't feel like making dinner, it is my Go To place. High quality meats and high quality options. I usually alternate between a Steak or Carnitas Burrito Bowl. With White Cilantro Rice, Pinto Beans, Pico De Gallo, Corn Salsa, Sour Cream, Cheese and Guacamole. They charge extra for the guacamole but it is worth it. Chips and Guacamole if I'm really hungry.

My boyfriend and I have a Friday night Chipotle chow down every time I drive down from Vancouver to visit. After a long day at work, long drive at night, we love sitting on the couch, turning on netflix and eating chipotle. So good, so fresh (for "fast food"). Nothing will replace our Friday night tradition!

I've come here close to a million times. Lately I've noticed the quality has significantly lowered. Its not just me, i have friends who have said the exact same thing. And I hope they can fix it. 3 big things I've noticed lately that make it taste completely different. First off, the rice has had like zero cilantro in it, a missed flavor. The Pico de gallo, has been so weird lately. Like its just tomato, and it tastes like it. And lastly, the tortillas have been severely undercooked for me the last like 3 times I've been. I hope they can fix these, but until then I'll be at the Woodinville Chipotle.

I have been to this location once and the other in Issaquah, I'm just not into it. All those ingredients and still lackluster flavor....not my thing. Maybe its because I'm brown and I know this isn't legit mexican-tex-mex food. I think I am moving on from this one.

Chipotle locations can vary in quality I have noticed. The one in Redmond is one of my favorite locations. Even though it can get busy, the line seems to move pretty quickly which is impressive. It is very convenient as it is located in the shopping center that Whole Foods is located in. It is a great place to dine at on a sunny day especially since they have outside seating. Steak burrito ($6.10) is my favorite choice here. Lined with all of the fixings they offer, the burrito can get monumentally large. It takes skill to master the wrapping of the burrito and to do it in quick fashion like this location does. This is absolutely one of my favorite spots to go if I do not feel like cooking for dinner. A Chipotle burrito, a beer while watching some telly is an ideal lazy day for me. For quality fast Mexican fare, Chipotle is the spot to go. Preferably the Redmond location.

No complaints with this Chipotle. Fast efficient service, I always get the burrito, and it never fails to impress me. Add some chips & salsa, which are ridiculously inexpensive, and it's one awesome dinner! Nice location too, and is very clean.

We love Chipotle and eat here almost once a week. 90% of the time its awesome - however, occasionally they stiff you on the guacamole and if you ever order something more complicated than a burrito, bowl, or salad you get glares from the people behind the counter.

It's a Chipotle. If you've been in one, you've been in them all, really. So, why bother with a review, right? The thing is, this is the only Chipotle I've been in, of the Chipotle stores in three states I've been to, that has made me vomit-for-hours sick. It tasted off, chips were stale/soggy, beans were cold, guacamole was a little brown, cheese a little oily looking. It was like they didn't have power or something and just decided to serve what they couldn't keep. Gross. The staff was overwhelmingly teenaged (which is unusual in my Chipotle experience) and really surly. I tend not to ask for anything strange, know my whole family's Chipotle order and could probably recite it in my sleep - so I wasn't being a problem or holding up the (considerable) line. Something about this shopping strip makes all of the businesses in it, part of solid chain establishments, really terrible. Just avoid the whole place.

  • Alice C.

I really appreciate Chipotle's philosophy of getting good ingredients. They added sofrita to the menu which is great for me since I don't eat meat. I like their kids meal in that my daughter gets healthy sides such as rice, beans and carnitas. The guacamole is delicious. So... Why the three star you ask? I took me star away because the cashier charged me a kids taco meal instead of quesadilla meal which is less expensive. When I pointed it out, he just stared at me. I finally asked.. So ummm can I get a credit? He didn't offer to adjust the price...

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
