The place to go if you want authentic mexican food (coming from a mexican ;)) The flautas are huge and the barbacoa is always moist. Pambazos are as original as they can get. Everything I have tried here is very flavorful. Only set back is the place is rather small, very few tables and not the most wonderful ambiance, so this is a place that you go to eat, not to be impressed by the decor. My advise is to go early on the weekends.

If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would, but they don't quite deserve a 4. I agree with some of the other Yelpers, the fish tacos here are basically fish sticks and probably not worth getting, but the other meats I tried were quite good. The asada had a nice crust on it and decent flavor and the chorizo was incredibly crispy on the outside and flavorful. Their salsas are also really nice and have great heat. My wife is an avid capsaicin fan and some of the salsa they had (the yellow one in particular) was right up her alley. The tortillas are interesting and have a strong wet corn/masa flavor, sort of like tamales. They're not my favorite tortillas, but they were really interesting. It's slightly above average Mexican fast food for a great price and I'll definitely be back, but I'm in no rush.

Im mexican, just moved to WA a few weeks ago. The place is great ! This is the type of food you would get if you were in Mexico City any given Tuesday. I've only been here once but the huarache and the quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza were great. I will certainly be back !

First time here and been looking for great tacos in the area. Had the trio tacos asada, adobada, and carnitas + consome (soup) combo. It was delicious! Definitely come back and try their burrito. Staff were friendly as well.

Awesome tortas and great service. Affordable too! I've only gone there once but I'll definitely be going back soon.

We found this place while traveling through...we eat a lot of Mexican, and have traveled to Mexico many times...the spicy shredded pork taco was amazing! As were the steak tacos! The guacamole...the green chile chicken enchiladas...and the salsa verde was honestly the best salsa I've ever had! Plus our server was very attentive...he got a huge tip. We were shocked at our low bill...this place is an incredible value and though we are only here two more days we plan to go again! Authentic Mexican at its best!

Good were the beef consommé and the cactus and flower quesadillas. However the fish taco was a fish stick, the potato taco was just mash and the mushroom taco was a bland gray mass. My friend's beef was burned. The place has charm and is frequented by Mexican locals. But overall I found the experience less than average.

Got the mushroom tacos and the jalapeno potato tacos. Both are amazing. The service was quick .Definitely going there again.

Phenomenal! As a mexican food fan and a massive soccer fan this place was basically designed just for me :) Once you enter all the walls are decorated with Mexican and La Liga players pictures and really cool World Cup pictures/art work. They seem to always have a soccer game on TV as well. The Torta sandwiches were so incredibly tasty and they are also, what do you know, named after different teams and players! I got the Monterrey, as much as I hate to order it as an MLS supporter. It was delicious and the salsas that came with it were very tasty. The horchata was also very good! Only downfall I had was the service did take a bit long to bring the food but that wasn't enough to destroy my awesome experience! MUST TRY for any mexican food and/or fubtol fan!

Best and most authentic mexican food in the area... Love comig here and try new things all of them are just delicious... If you go on a saturday I really recommend the barbacoa tacod and consome. Really good service and you get the most out of your money.

Heck yeah! These are the tastiest sandwich type items from sort of south of the border ever. I used to eat here every day when I worked nearby. Yum! Lots of choices. Nice people. Lots of soccer fans.

Food is fresh, lots of people waiting however I thout the food was worth it. A "slightly" biger seating area would help. Good menu selection for your hunger variety.

This is Mexican Mexican food. My husband and I ordered the traditional tortas , one chicken and one al pastor. They were made with pan telera, the bread tortas are made with in Mexico, but you don't often find in this corner of the US. Both tortas were awesome, as was the fresco de jamaica that we washed them down with. The service was friendly and fast and they had a soccer game on the TV. This was our first time, but I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

stopped by yesterday for lunch. Asked for 4 fish tacos but was told they were pretty big so I opted for 3. After a short 10 min wait the food came out. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with French fries. The tacos were big and good but to me they lacked the little extras that would have made them great. There was no grilled onion or jalapeño that other places offer. I did enjoy the food but I missed the little side items that are standard at most places.

My torta was definitely full of flavor, made with care, and satisfying. I like that this authentic Mexican quick dining eatery doesn't try to be anything it's not. It serves good food. It's not necessarily cheap, but I will be back. A little small/crammed, and the tables weren't wiped down, and the atmosphere was cluttery... But who really cares- taste the food :)

  • Edson V.

Not the best. I live like an hour from this place and wanted to try it if thwy were true mexican tortas like the ones in mexico city. At least thats what the reviews said but i didnt like it. Ive had better tortas in places with less stars.

Under new management. Twice the rice in the burritos were over-cooked. Side of guacamole used to be a staple. Not sure what happened, but now, it's bad. Sad to say, I'll be searching for a new Mexican place, nearby.

I visited this place on my lunch hour last week and had such an amazing experience that I came back again just two days later for dinner with a girlfriend. Needless to say this place is honestly some of the BEST authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Tortas seem to be what this place is known for however the other items on the menu seem very appealing. Both times I ordered the shredded pork Huarache. I've eaten huarache's before that have a lot more toppings on them so when I saw how simple this was I had doubts, but this had to be not only the best huarache I've ever had but best tasting Mexican dish. A Huarache is a flat fried masa bread like thing with beans, shredded pork and pickled red onions on top of it. Squirt on their spicy green sauce in the bottle and it is pure heaven and very filling especially for how cheap it is, i think around 7 dollars. My friend ordered the Carne Asada Burrito, I tasted it and the meat was so flavorful! She agreed to much surprise that this was also the best Mexican she'd ever had. As far as customer service goes, I had excellent service both times. My first time a gentleman greeted me and handed me a paper menu as the large menu on the wall can be a bit daunting, he walked over and explained a few of their popular dishes to me and when my food was ready brought it out to me. He also showed me where they have dishes of radishes and jalapenos sitting out. I thought this was a nice touch because I love pickled jalapenos! All in all this was a really fun experience! For people complaining about the atmosphere, the prices match the the theme of the restaurant and casual feel, and it did seem really clean so no complaints there. Definitely will be returning.

I visited Aca Las Tortas this week to give it another try. It was excellent! I had the carnitas torta. The pork was very tender and the addition of chipotle was awesome. They use really tasty bread too. I was impressed and will definitely go back!

My little brother was about to cross the boarder to play a show in Tijuana (I didn't even know bands toured there), so of course this inspired me to stop by here for some lunch. My boyfriend got the Argentina (breaded steak with pineapple) and I got the Monterrey (carne asada steak with caramelized onions) we ordered them to-go but they ended up bringing them over to us as dine-in. Instead of reminding them we wanted it to-go we just sat down to eat quickly. The tortas were ok... this was a first for both of us and we both agreed these sandwiches packed the flavor we came to expect. They were tasty and very filling but nothing I would go out of my way for. We were the only ones in there the entire time (around 3pm on a Saturday). The waitstaff was friendly and made us feel welcome. We may come back here. I wish they offered a chicken torta, but all I saw was turkey breast. I think next time I would order a burrito- I like the flavor of a tortilla over the bread for this type of cuisine. FYI: It is BOILING in their dining area- absolutely no air flow or nothing, it was way too hot for us

Sometimes, you just want street tacos smothered in salsa. Aca las Tortas fits the bill. I ordered what I consider to be the benchmark for any Mexican restaurant--carne asada street tacos. The tacos here were pretty damn good. The meat had a nice mix of charred bits and meaty chunks of beef. I dress my tacos modestly--cilantro, onions, and a fat squirt of whatever salsa is available. Both their red and green salsas were good. I'm a huge chile head and wish both sauces were spicier, but I know that is one wish I am unlikely to have granted. Overall, this place was a great find.

This place is very unique, they are super busy at lunch time, which is the only time I have visited so far. The layout is very strange, super scrunched up line to order, then a little triangle dining area. I had the Chicken Torta, it was scrumpious. I would like to try some of the other dish's, but the menu is very difficult to read. It is a huge menu on the wall, and not much space to stand back to read the whole thing. I should have asked if they had a paper menu. I got my food to go, dining area did not feel comfortable. Tables are very close together. If I had been with other people I probably would have been fine eating in the restaurant. I think this is what you would call genuine mexican food, not the americanized version. Everything I saw come out while I was waiting looked fresh and delicious.

  • Becca W.

The tortas here are sometimes a little skimpy on meats and feel like a little too much money, but they sure are TASTY. The Maradona with chipotle is a winner for me. Get ready to feel guilty about all the styrofoam you are about to throw in a landfill. Cups and plates too if you are eating in. Get it to go in a paper baggie and avoid the often crowded seating setup.

This place had great food, however, it was nearly impossible to cut into my tortilla because they were using plastic silverware. What restaurant uses plastic silverware? I'm very environmentally friendly so this bothered me, but just also for the fact that I couldn't eat my food. I recommend bringing silverware or getting your food to go. Otherwise this place has great food.

Heavenly. The only authentic Mexican street food I've found around here, and with such variety! It's a fast food atmosphere with friendly service and a serious commitment to bringing out the best taste in all their dishes. Definitely give them a try.

I don't know what the hell is in Bothell but I am so glad I found this place. The tacos are decent and they have a lot of unique (Mexican) drinks like Guava / Mango / Lime beverages in tall, capped, glass bottles. And yes, there is Mexican Cola as well. The service is quick! Food came out in less than 10 minutes during lunch. What! It's true. They are so nice too :) And so much soccer stufff on the walls. It's like a museum... My chicken and pork tacos were good. The soup, which I don't remember the name of, came out piping hot and with generous amounts of rice in it. So filling. The food is just verging on being too salty so minus 1 star for that. But a solid 4 stars for me. I would love to come back and try a sandwich!

  • Christine Y.

Tacos, yum! Especially the spicy shredded pork. Without cilantro. Plus sauce. At $1.65/each. I'm sure I'm going to start frequenting now that I've found the one thing I really like. The chicken burrito is not bad either. Chicken taco was weirdly grounded up and a dark brown color. Fish taco was meh, and much pricier than the rest ($2.75 vs $1.65). I also really like one of the ladies that works there. So nice and down to earth. But seriously, spicy shredded pork!

    (5)
  • Wing M.

Eh, the food was mediocre and they got both our orders wrong. The rice and beans had no flavor, and the chicken was maybe kind of okay. I think I'll pass next time.

  • Ernestina E.

OMG! I got real bad cramps after eating lamb crispy flautas. The food had an odor and one of the women in kitchen got upset because I told her I didn't like my lettuce drenching in water on plate because it made food soggy. I had my dog with me and he benefited from the rest of the meal. What I took home I dumped it because it just smelled bad. Staff going to bathroom and straight to cooking and touching their hair and so on and on. This place should be visited by the Health Dept. Someone is going to get very sick. I was sick for a week with cramps.

Every time I've gone here, I typically get the tortas sanwiches. Right when you walk in, you feel the soccer theme. The torta sandwiches are themed by country as well. It's quite small so I typically order to go or don't go with large groups. They take credit cards which is always a plus. It's right next to my favorite pho restaurant, Bamboo house so this place has a special place in my heart as well. I usually get the carne asada with everything on it. The sandwich size is worth the price you pay for it. I typically throw in an horchata as well. The carne asada tacos are also just like how they are in Southern California. It's the corn tortilla with meat and you add your own verde or rojo salsa, onions and cilantro. Make sure if you aren't eating there htat you pack enough radishes and salsa to go.

Mystified by the rave reviews - the lunch special (3 beef tacos, $5.99) came as 3 soft white corn tortillas filled with bland beef and a little cilantro and onion, with some lime wedges, and some admittedly tasty garbanzo bean soup. Thats it. No sauce, salsa, sourcream, nothin. Was just devastated by high expectations. If it hadnt been for the Tapatio this would have been close to inedible, taste wise. Boring. Jack-in-the-box tacos kick ass on these for flavor.

This is our favorite place for tacos & tortas, my husband is from Mexico and is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to authentic food and this is the only place he will eat. While the seating is very limited, they are super fast and you can call ahead and place your order and then pick it up and eat it in the comfort of your own home. Their ingredients are always fresh and their flavors are on point!

I'm just getting started with this place but I can tell already that i am hooked. They have settled in to a tiny little triangle of a space near B-E Highway and they are absolutely making the most of it. There's a long, low counter with stools, a short, low counter with stools, and a few plastic and pressboard booths. The cashier is shoved in the front corner with the Jarritos, and the menu is gigantic on the wall past the kitchen pass-through. There are enchiladas, tortas, burritos, a frillion tacos, a bunch of sandwiches, and a few other things. That tacos are most of what you need to know about at this point, though those pollo enchiladas were pretty damn awesome too. You might get a real crockery plate, or maybe a plastic basket, or maybe a throwaway picnic plate. You'll definitely get plastic cutlery. The food is great whether you get it to go or to dine in. Everywhere you look--and I mean EVERYWHERE--there is futbol-related art. ESPN Deportes are blaring futbol highlights from the little tv in the corner, Fernando Messi stands guard over the recycle bin and garbage bin, and there are framed jerseys, trading cards, stadium glamor shots, team photos, and every other flat thing you can think to frame and mount on the wall that has anything to do with futbol. There's even an Aca las Tortas jersey near the front. Didn't look to see where the team was from. Not just Mexican or Latin American teams, either, though most of the pictured players are clearly Spanish speakers. There are teams and stadia from all over Europe on display as wlel. The staff here all have heavy accents, and the connection to the old country seems strong in every way. The food is awesome, the prices are super low, and I imagine I will be back an awful lot.

Where is my review??? For some reason, it was erased? Maybe I am just losing my mind. Please note that this is NOT a roach coach food stand as the photo indicates but an actual business. How can I say this?? Freaking amazing Mexican eats that brings me back time and time again. I just love tacos and tried just about all the meat varieties they have. Out of all of them, I prefer the chicarrons (soft as hell pork skin), cabeza and the conchinnitas ( shredded seasoned pork). On top of that, they have a good cheap soup that isn't on their menu: consume' soup ( small cup for $1.50). It is kind of like a Mexican congee with rice and white beans. Top it off with sweet Orange soda and the spicy kick of their guac green hot sauce. Prices are reasonable for tacos and the tortas are about $7.50 but you get a HUGE sandwich that really should just be eaten half at a time (or shared) to fully enjoy without fear of falling into that after lunch food coma.

Subway must have been pressed when this awesome place moved in! ! if you're a fan of a authentic mexican tortas, this is the place to go. the tacos and other mexican fare is wonderful as well but the tortas are out of this world!

First of all, the lay out of this place is absolutely ridiculous. The order window and the cashier are right as you walk in the door. Instant congestion. Very large menu that takes up a whole wall that is very hard to read without stepping as far back as possible to be able to read it. I ordered three tacos, two carne asada and one fish taco. My girlfriend ordered a beef tostada. We also ordered some chips and salsa. Food came out one dish at a time and was not very good at all. The beef in the tacos was dry and half gristle. The fish was like breaded fish sticks. Not my idea of good tacos at all. Also no silverware offered. Unfortunately the chips and salsa was the highlight of our dinner.

Located right off of 405 in Bothell, WA, this is mexican restaurant has a great local feel to it. When you enter, the station to order is immediately on the right hand side; however, you have to walk around the corner to the "dining section" to see the menu. This can be a little confusing, but is only a minor inconvenience for the greatness about to come. The staff is beyond friendly and treats you like friends. They have a great caring attitude and really appear to want to serve their guests. Prices are a little bit higher compared to similar food choices (just under $7.00 for a chicken quessedia); however, this is freshly made, high quality ingredients and large in size. I dont see why anyone would EVER go to Taco Bell when this great option is available. They are known for their Tortas though, which I did not try. They also have a punch card available, so if you frequent here, it can help reduce the cost of the meals. My only issue, which is really more of a personal preference, is the entree was very juicy with overflow of sauces. This adds amazing flavor, but makes it very difficult to eat on the go...

Been here a couple times for lunch now. Very tasty food at a good price. Sort of a Mexican/Brazilian mix. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and not much for atmosphere unless you are a latin soccer fan, but the food is good. Had a torta one time and the taco special with a variety of meats, all good. Came with a tasty little cup of soup also. they have three different homemade salsas for you to use.

FOOD: Excellent! Great flavor. Huge selection of truly authentic Mexican cuisine. PRICE: Fair SERVICE: you must wait for good food to be prepared well. Worth the wait. ATMOSPHERE: Hole in the wall but clean. My new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Went in here and decided to get one single taco as an appetizer before some pho. Would I do it again? Without even blinking, dude. Food here seemed good, would have loved to have gotten a chance to get some more.

My husband and I got some take out from here for dinner tonight. It was our first (and last) time eating here. We were pretty hungry, so it shouldn't have been hard to please us. I had the carnitas burrito and a piece of flan. Flan was good but not worth $4. The burrito contained beans, rice, and (not shredded pork) instead just chunks of gooey slimy fat, ew! My husband got carne asana tacos and said those were ok. He also had the menudo and some barbacoa tacos and was not pleased. Most everything was probably store bought and heated up. All in all we were pretty disappointed at the waste of money they call a business! That's all.

Who'd have thought that Bothell would be home to the best tortas in the Seattle metro region? Quick, polite service and damn good food is a great combination. I'm a sucker for the Hugo Sanchez and Maradona tortas, and they recently started offering a great lunch special on tacos (get the pork!).

    (5)
  • Jeremy V.

There are a lot of good meals on the menu but then again there are better dishes not far away so its a trade off on what type of dish you want. The tacos are OK, not the best in the area unless you get the fish taco - 3 stars The tortas are the best in the Bothell area - 4 stars Chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce - 4 stars Hot Soups in a styrofoam cup and plastic spoon. 2 stars The french fries suck. 2 stars Burritos, kinda hard to mess these up - 4 stars Price of the food? - 4 stars

This place used to be good but its going downhill big time! On my last two visits I was so disappointed with the food that I decided not to return in a long time. The staff is really nice and helpful but that doesn't help with the over cooked dry meat flautas and the tasteless consome. I really hope that they improve their food quality.

For us, it is all about the authentic tacos here. My wife and I usually get the three tacos, and both of us almost always have at least one of the excellent chorizo tacos. The hardest part about this restaurant is the limited seating: if you come in at a busy time, it can be hard to get either a seat or service.

    (4)
  • Kristin C.

Apparently, the owner doesn't like new business. I got a google offer for this place, and after a night of drinking we thought a breakfast burrito was in order. We drove up from Kirkland and both ordered the chorizo and egg breakfast burritos and a side of beans and rice, they food was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The fact that we were the only white people was encouraging, and honestly, the rice was tasty. BUT, I will never come here again. I presented my google deal on my phone, the guy seemed confused, and said that I had to have the printed out deal. I told him that in fact, I don't, I am able to show it on my mobile phone(which I have done dozens of times with no problem). If they don't have a way of scanning it, they can just write down the deal #, they have all the information themselves, and that is all google needs anyways. So he said sure, we ordered our food, paid for our food, ate our food, and as we were leaving the guy came running after us and informed us that the owner said no, I have to have the printed out voucher. So after ordering, paying, and eating my food, I had to pay another $8(which I had already paid through google). I'm sorry, but that is just bad customer service, and I will not be returning here, and I will be getting a refund from google offers. I paid for that offer, and she has gotten her money for that google offer. If you don't plan on honoring the deals, you shouldn't use the service in the first place.

Usually in America Mexican food is terrible, but this place is :Delicious, cheap, tasty, good service, large portions, I love it, I am a competent reviewer because I am Mexican, the only think I dont like is the restroom, but you always can go at home.

Good tortas, and even better tacos! Tortas is a small space in a strip mall, with a soccer theme. Soccer games are on TV, the walls are filled with soccer pics, and many of the tortas are named after famous soccer players. Tried the Monterey Torta, which had carne asada, cheese and condiments. The torta was a little light on meat, but the bread was very soft and nicely toasted, and there was more cheese than in other variations I have had in Seattle. For $2 more, you get a soda and some fries, which makes for a nice meal. However, the tacos were even better though and reminded me of the taquerias in the Bay Area. The asada was solid, but the spicy pork was my fave, as it was very flavorful. The tacos were under $2 so 3 or 4 makes a nice lunch. The place gets crowded during lunch, but service is fast. Definitely a nice find in Bothell!

One of the best hole in the wall places in Bothell. Great Tortas for a town with a decent Mexican food. Real authentic and decked out with soccer stuff. I've had their breakfast torta before and got the Argentina torta this most recent time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Mexican food in Bothell

  • Heidi P.

The tortas here are tasty, however a little high on price. I ordered my husband one from here the other day, and it was supposed to have pineapple on it, however they forgot to put the pineapple on. It was still good without it, but would have been better with. With tax, you're looking at about $8. If you're looking for a really good, knock your socks off torta, I'd say go to Julio's in downtown Bothell and order the Cubano Torta (it's also a couple bucks cheaper). However I do like that Aca las Tortas specialty is tortas, so they have a pretty large menu to chose from, and they are definitely worth a try, especially the sandwiches that have Milanese style beef; super tender and delicious!

  • Ken P.

I have been here many times, and the mission-style burritos are the best that I've ever had. Chipotle and Qdboa will never taste the same again after you've come to Tortas.

  • Kent H.

the taco lunch special, i had a combination of 3 tacos, asada, carnitas and al pastor. of the 3, asada was the best. the carnitas lacked taste. the tacos lacked enough onions and cilantro. the bean soup was a tad bit too salty. the horchata was served without ice, a nice touch, but the drink itself was subpar.

  • Dane M.

I love this place. I rarely order anything but the tacos which are superb, but occasionally I try something different like the posole and burrito variations and am always very happy with the results. The three sauces for the tacos are a perfect companion, they are very flavorful and lend complimentary flavors to each of the meats. Glass bottles of Mexican Coke don't hurt either.

Very good tacos and tortas. I would give it 5 stars if the food was always consistent, but this place can be hit and miss when it comes to the quality of the meat.

you know your getting good authentic Mexican food when the place is packed and your the only non native Spanish speaker food here is great their tortas are great and I love their tacos, first time I had their food I went on a taco truck spree and tried all the ones around my area and aca las tortas is the best

  • Ryan L.

I love the food here. I've never had a bad dish. Burritos, tacos, the ones with the names I can't pronounce but still try, and of course the many variations of tortas they sell. I once made it my mission to try one type of everything here and I wasn't disappointed, even without knowing what exactly I was ordering. My mouth watered a bit just thinking about it. The people who serve/cook/cashier are always very nice to me. One con - Don't think beforehand you can snap up a quick burrito a la Taco Del Mar. The food always takes a bit of time to be prepared. Fortunately the wait tends to be worth it so I can forgive them for that.

Taco Wagon in a restaurant form and a soccer theme. Good Tortas, Good tacos, good desserts, HUGE breakfast burritos that will bust your carb intake quota for a few days. I've eaten here quasi regularly for years and it's very consistently good if a tad slow to get food at lunch times-generally 10 but often 15-20 minute wait for a taco or burrito is a bit long IMO -but it's because it's generally VERY busy at lunch. Service is very friendly.

Food is good, but the location is way too small. Would rather go to Everett to El Paraiso...much better Mexican fare.

Tired of foraging in the dark, my husband and I ventured out to find food two years ago during a power outage. There were no lights to speak of until we drove up and over the hill on 228th and saw that Canyon Park was electric. We were planning on grabbing dinner at Subway, but chose the torta place instead. Best decision ever. The maradona is our favorite, in addition to the floutas and tacos. Everything is made ala carte, cooked to order, they sell the kind of Coke you had in Mexico, and their green sauce is the best. I especially like that my hubby will order in Spanish and translates for me whatever is playing on the television when we're there. Since he's an Argentine soccer fan, he was especially pleased to find jerseys lining the place the first time we walked in. It's true, Aca las Tortas is a hole in the wall worth driving out of your way for!

I cannot say that I am overly fond of Mexican food. I mean how good can it be if they cannot even get the beans ready in one setting but have to refry them several times before serving? Forget about all that when you enter Aca las Tortas. Nestled in a little strip mall behind Applebees, it is unique in many ways. For once, this place is all about soccer. The walls are covered in posters of your favorite stars and teams no matter where you are coming from. The TV is tuned to soccer. Sure it is Spanish but who cares. There is nothing better than to catch at lunch time a bit of Champions League action. Aca las Tortas has done some remodeling over the years. I am quite impressed by the high-quality oversize wall menu that makes you salivate while you ponder your choice. I am still stuck on the sandwiches whereby Hugo Sanchez is my particular favorite. Eggs, Pork franks and sausage on those fantastic buns are a heavenly combination! My co-worker is a taco fan while another likes to try more exotic choices like some of the cactus dishes. If this endorsement isn't enough then the fact that the Mexican crowd likes to come in on a regular basis should be all you need to know.

I absolutely love this place, it reminds me of the mexican food I used to get in Southern California. I've tried their "Street Tacos" and the Carne Asada Burritto. So far, I can't find a better place for authentic fast mexican food. The only thing I would caution you about is if you go at Noon during the work week plan to wait about a 1/2 hour for your food because they are BUSY!!!!

Food was ok. I hear the Posole is worth dying for, but not on the menu today.

Here's the deal I get that its Bothell and the bar for excellence is low, but this place was crap. the chips and salsa made safeway seem like a mexican dream. the steak tacos were a C at best. I have no idea how this place got 4 stars?

Love this little hole in the wall. I usually get the chicken and fish tacos and pour the red and green sauce all over. Great food, cheap, and good service. I haven't ventured out to anything else on the menu...but not that curious since the tacos are oh so good.

Very tasty food. I had a "Real Madrid Torta" it was very good with different kinds of meats inside. The price is very cheap, there isn't a lot of seats but this isn't a table cloth restaurant. I also like the decorations.

Pretty chilly waiting outside. Tacos are 1.25 each. I got beef. Cow tongue, chorizo, and BBQ pork. This truck looks like any other taco truck. Nothing special about it. They have a deal for 3 tacos and rice and beans with a soda is only $6.00. I really like how they add in the carrots, and the radishes and a slice of lemon. That was a big plus for the tacos. I wouldn't get the beef tacos in the future cause all the other meat they use seems to be better. The wait time was a little longer than I expected but that was probably due to the cold weather waiting. I could see my breath, and I was thinking, when am I going to get the food. There is Mexican Coke (sugar coke not high fructose corn syrup) here. That's always a plus. I like how they had some variety on the menu for other mexican food. I don't know if I'll ever try it but it looks good.

A friend and I just had to try out his place based on the fab reviews and the unique tortas. The place is super teenie tiny. It was Sunday night so we didn't have any kind of wait or anything. We both sprung for the #9. It was nice n toasty and I loved the jalapenos. The place was so so as far as cleanliness goes. The only reason I am not giving it more stars is because I don't feel compelled to go back and get another. My friend tho was pretty crazy about them!

After reading good reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I went there expecting to get some fish tacos, however, they didn't have any flour tortillas (I'm not a corn tortilla fan at all). So, I gave that up and tried a torta even though I've never had one before. I tried the Maradona which had carne asada, spicy pork, avocado, onions, and tomatoes. Oh man, that was tasty. The bread was slightly toasted, center was soft, but flaky. Completely delicious!

Given the recent weather, I'll be danged if I frequent my fave taco trucks to have heart-warming food while my bones chill in 50 degree mist. Nah, if I have the option, I'll now go to Tortas up in Canyon Park. Generally, the strip mall that is Canyon Park is to be avoided. But not for this. Taco truck food indoors? To the bray of Mexican soccer announcers on the tele as I eat surrounded by nationals? With 24+ tortas varieties? Reasonable prices tons of soccer themed stuff plastering the walls? I died a cold spring death, but ended up in heaven with a chorizo/potato huarache. Homespun goodness. Worth a quick jaunt off of 405 for some Mexican goodness.

I went here a few times. At first I was happy with a new Mexican place to eat at. After they got my order wrong too many times I can't see bothering to go here anymore. Learn how to speak and understand English and learn how to communicate with your English speaking clientele and perhaps a return visit will be in order.

I can't bring myself to order anything new as the tortas are so dang good. A little intimidating for us non-Spanish speaking gringos, but everyone is always friendly. Seriously, try the tortas, they are *that* good.

Holy mole! Or rather, holy squeeze-bottle salsa-liciousness!! This was the best post-backpacking pit stop EVER! They were even kind enough to pretend not to notice our aroma. We got a combo of veggie and meat options and everything was delicious, especially slathered in homemade salsas (LOVE the squeeze-bottles for drowning each bit of a burrito/torta/huarache/taco in slightly spicy goodness). Plenty of options for everyone and the prices were right. Service was fast and friendly, and what's not to like about old-school telenovelas, orange walls, and a soccer theme?! I will now be looking for excuses to get out to Bothell. Seriously, it's closer than California, and I haven't had anything this good since I moved away from the SF Bay. YUMMY!

Wow this place is GOOD. Happened to be driving past and detoured for a quick lunch. This place is a serious soccer fan's hangout. The menu occupied a huge wall and was filled with wonderful images and detailed descriptions. Being in a hurry we ordered a Carne Asada Burrito, a Mixed Veggie Burrito and two chicken tacos. While sitting there waiting I watched several orders come by from the kitchen. All looked very good but the Floutas looked unbelievable - a definite order for next time. We quickly got our food, even with the place being filled up. What a pleasant surprise. The tacos were saucy and delicious. The burritos were outstanding and while the veggie concoction in that burritos was different, it was very good. And the condiment sauces were AWSOME, flavorful and fiery. Definitely a place I'll be returning to, even if I have to travel.

I am a huge fan of this place. The restaurant has gone through a number of updates as they continue to grow and be successful. The addition of some booths is very welcome! Restaurant has a soccer theme, and soccer can be found playing on flat panel TV,s albeit en Espanol. The food. The tortas are amazing. Mexico city style sandwiches. Served on bread baked special for the restaurant. The small kitchen serves up great eats. If you get tacos they are the smaller variety, just like you would get off a taco truck. The options for meat are near endless including a hardboiled egg, cactus, tongue, tripe, and crispy pig skin. The tostadas are also excellent. They have another dish that I could best describe as fajitas meets a Philly cheese steak. Grilled bits of marinated beef are covered in melted cheese, onions and peppers; you eat it with tortillas. The sauces are great, as is the large bowl of pickled carrots, jalapenos, and radish. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, you cannot go wrong. This is a very authentic place to eat; if you're more of a fan of Tex-Mex style like at Azteca, this may not be a place you'll like. Also, the staff is wonderful. My mouth is watering just thinking about one of their sandwiches.

It's now all about the tacos. Cabeza! Adobada! Lengua! With cilantro and onion and on those two corn tortillas. Mmmmm. Now they need to be talked into serving tripa tacos. Mmmmm tripa...

Hmmm, didn't love it. I wanted a variety so I ordered one taco each of: asada, adobada, pollo and fish. The fish taco was delicious although it was a very greasy fry. The asada and adobada were tasty but way too many fat pieces. I'm sure some people like them but I don't, and after pulling them out, I had very little meat. The pollo taco....gross!! The shredded chicken tasted like stomach acid. Is that an authentic mexican taste? I almost lost it. Needless to say, I only took the one bite. If I were to ever go back (not sure I will), I'd try one of the sandwiches as the tacos were a disappointment. Finally, a comment on the service. I had a very awkward 10 minutes when I first got there. I wasn't sure what kind of ordering format was used and stood near the register for several minutes without being helped. Then I sat at a table in case I was supposed to be waited on. After a few minutes of that, I went back to the register and yelled to someone in the kitchen who came out and took my order. Still not sure how it's supposed to work... Overall, not a great experience. I'm definitely missing Taqueria La Venadita in Issaquah! :(

In our office, Tuesdays have become known as Taco Tuesdays. I now call it Tortas Tuesdays. I am hooked. The tacos in whatever variation you choose (pork, beef, chicken) are inexpensive and super delicious. The salsas are fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and the ambiance of the small restaurant pays tribute to the world's best futbol clubs. Lunch at Tortas is a fun break in the day!

My partner is from Mexico City and is a complete Mexican food snob. We have been going to Aca Las Tortas since it was just a truck at the gas station. The tortas here are better than pretty much any other torta in the Seattle area! There green salsas are delicious and anything with milaneza will blow your mind. Try a pambazo or a huarache as well.

Not bad for Mexican food in this area. We lived in LA for a bit so it's hard to compare. The thing about this place is that it's not consistent. Sometimes they have great marinaded meat, sometimes, it is completely tasteless. It really also depends what meat you get. I'd say the spicy pork is the most consistent. We ordered some food for a party and they didn't provide what we asked for. Gave us chicken instead of beef tongue and also skimped out on the horchata that they promised. Later they provided a free lunch to make up for it - so they are nice enough. Just don't expect to have accurate catering.

I often find myself daydreaming about the tortas from this place. Stacked high with delicious meat, cheese and fixings, the tortas never fail to please. My usual suspect, the Hugo Sanchez, is loaded with chorizo, bacon, guacamole, onions and tons more. While it is the farthest thing from health food, it is never overly greasy. One of these gut busters and I'm set for the day. Just writing this review is making me hungry. Ay Dios mio!

Let's lay it down right off the bat: Get the tortas and do yourself a favor. The sign, after all, says "Aca las Tortas". You don't go to Teddy's Bigger Burgers for a chicken sandwich and a salad, or Ezell's Chicken for the french fries, do you? I couldn't help but notice that the few poor reviews of this place involve people not getting the tortas. I hear the other food items are good too, but if you choose to get something other than a torta, I wash my hands of your experience. As for the tortas themselves, there are, I believe, 28 to choose from, generally involving some combination of meats, vegetables, and cheeses on bread. I have tried several, but the one I always go back to is the Alemana: Mexican breaded steak, chorizo, white cheese, melted jack cheese (and yes these are 2 different cheeses), lettuce, tomato, avocado, and either jalapenos or chipotle (I inevitably choose the jalapenos, but when I have had the chipotle by accident it has not upset me). I have nothing against the other sandwiches, but they are not as amazing as the Alemana, which seems to me to be as perfect a grouping of sandwich ingredients as exists anywhere in the city. The steak is thinly sliced and well seasoned; the chorizo has a strong but not overpowering flavor; the jalapenos and avocados add moisture and a smooth texture. The bread is toasted on the grill and provides a superb housing for the various ingredients that enhances the experience marvelously. It's about $8 for a torta, and since it fills you up nicely that seems like a perfectly fair price to pay. The Hispanic community seems to agree with me about the quality and authenticity of the food, as at any given time there are large numbers of them packed inside this hole-in-the-wall feverishly devouring the kitchen's latest creations. I always consider this a strongly positive sign for any "ethnic" restaurant when large numbers of people of the appropriate culture are eating there almost any time of the day or night. I can't help but recommend this place, especially if you haven't had a torta before. This is a great place to try one for the first time (or the second, or tenth, or hundredth really). If you can tear yourself away from the vast torta selection, let me know how the other things are.

Great breakfast burritos try it with Chorizo!! Tortas are very good as well. It reminds me of San Diego and some of the food I used to get down there from some of the road vendors!

OK seriously? I decided to try this joint out due to the high reviews. I ordered two fish tacos. They were tortillas with skimpy lettuce, one tomato each a frozen fish stick - literally like the the kind you buy at the grocery store (triangular shaped). So disappointed. So not yummy. Not going back.

I have never been to the taco truck version of this business, just the restaurant tucked in with the rest of the shops on the SW corner of 228th St. SE and Hwy 527. The food here is awesome. They have some great hot sauce here, too. I ordered a burrito, which was giant. Tiny little joint with pictures of futbol players covering the walls! Check it out.

As a native San Diegan I am always looking for a good hole in the wall type taco stand. This place semi fits the bill for me. Thier tacos are fantastic and cheap. The basic street taco with 2 small corn tortillas, meat, cilantro and onions. Yummy! There are other more exotic varieties of mexican fare and I have gone back a couple of times to try them but can't resist getting a variety of tacos instead. My companion got a torta and it looked delicious and was huge. This is the their signature dish and there is a huge selction to choose from. They have a variety of fun drinks including coke in a bottle and some mexican fruit drinks. the prices are reasonable and the food is yummy BUT they seriously have some customer serivce issues to work out. The first and most frustrating thing is the chaos at the counter. It is very unclear where to order and when to pay. The restaurant layout forces patrons to walk around the corner to find the menu and then come back around to order. There is also a ton of confusion about whether you pay when you order or when you pick up and since the line to order gets very long I would suggest that they finish the transaction when you order rather than having to deal with each customer 2 times. Today I waited nearly 30min for 3 tacos which is pretty bad. The staff is friendly though and the interior is colorful and tidy. I am SO happy to have found this place so close to work and am excited to have my family try it out. ______________________________ They seem to have worked out a few of the kinks (pay when you order, etc) and the menu is evolving. Their spicy pork is phenomenal and the shrimp tostada is refreshing/delicious/cheap a wonderful trio.

Their USP is their soccer theme. With hundred of soccer snaps some of which are kodak moments in Soccer (football in rest of the world) history and a TV which plays nothing but soccer, its hard not to fall in love if you are a soccer fan. Their sitting arrangement is one of the worst I have ever seen. Who wants to sit in a bar chair in a mexican restaurant which doesnt serve beer. They have only one table. (Thats why it doesnt get 4 stars) They have got a pretty good variety of different sandwiches. Pretty heavy on pork but you will still find what you want. Bit on the oily side but for the price, their sandwiches are loaded. Doesn't take Amex. Will still come to the place because of the location (pretty close to my office).

Ridiculous! I feel so lucky that this place is so close to my work... I have to say, this is one of the most nummy places in Bothell, if not the nummiEST! Very flavorful rich meats, great tortas, breakfast burrito and tacos. Service is very sweet. Hope you guys open more than one!

Bomb tortas. Was suprised to find such good mexican this far from the border. Try the Huarache - it's like a sope but shaped like a sandal (huarache in spanish). You know when they have lengua and cabeza on the menu that it's going to be good. Just don't use too much of the hot green sauce - it isn't guacamole in a bottle I assure you :)

super yum tortas! some of the best Mexican food I have had is at the mobile caravans in Texas. This place is at par and to no wonder because it used to be a caravan eatery before progressing to a hole in the wall eatery! Tortas are tasty Mexican sandwiches loaded with Mexican cheese, meats, onions, chipotle/jalapenos sauces and other yummy stuff. The bread is perfect- warm , soft with a crisp top. You might like Aca Las Tortas even more if you are a soccer fan.

If you are in the mood for a warm yummy mexican sandwich you have to check this place out.. The texture of the bread, the egg, the cheese, the chilli sauce!! Just all so yummy.. I went to the Canyon Park location. The phone number for that location if you want to go is 425-485-7510. I tried to find the address for it. But it was like searching for the lost arch. Don't miss out. Try this place. Reasonable prices, and friendly faces.

This place used to be a bus parked on 164th that has now opened a proper restaurant. So now they are a lunch spot for all these people that would never eat out of a truck(their loss). I would give their bus 3 stars there are way better tortas out there. The meat quality has always been a little poor to much gristle. taste has always been ok. but now they want $8.00 for a torta get real Most places are $3.50 to $5.00. Tacos are good but $1.50 each come on .99 everywhere else. Damn the first hootie tootie taqueria. Enjoy fools I'll be at some truck eating better food for a lot less.

This place is a refreshing change from all the other run of the mill lunch choices. I am a sandwich lover and these tortas are delicous. There are a ton of options to choose from on the wall, so just take the time to read through them to see what looks best. I think most of the ingredients are fried so it's not the healthiest sandwich, but it's worth it. Bread is nice and light too.

Tortas food is off the hook. Their tacos are some of the best north of TJ and as good as the ones there too! Their Tortas are their claim to fame but everything is great. The prices are good too. Plus, extra nice employees. You wont regret a dinner or lunch there. The breakfast burritos are great too!

We stumbled upon this place on the way home from Bothell. I ordered a chicken burrito since I wasn't in the mood for a torta (the staple of the menu). Burritos aren't my favorite, but I loved this one. The chicken was smoky (for all you Hawaiians - like Kalua Chicken) and delicious, and the perfect canvas for the green deliciousness in a bottle that was on the counter. Try the sauces for sure. My gal pal ordered a torta, and that was delicious too.

So on the recommendation of others on this site, I went to Aca las Tortas. I got a burrito, I guess that was my first mistake. But even if they don't specialize in burritos, I shouldn't have to question the flavors. I guess my problem may be that I'm from Chicago and there are small places like this to get burritos and tacos everywhere, that are really good and fairly authentic. But anyway the flavor wasn't good. One of the reviews said the meat is greasy and I would have to agree. The other problem that I had is that I ordered chicken and there was an overwhelming flavor of pork and bacon. I would say skip this place...

THE VERY BEST AROUND!! Prior to the opening of the store front I was a regular at the Aca Las Tortas taco truck on the Bothell-Everett HWY located near Kenmore Lanes, now that they have a store front that is located in downtown Canyon Park it is ever better! This is a family business and it shows for sure. The family all cares about the service and the quality of food that they are putting out. I cannot say enough about the menu. Everything about it is amazing! Taco, Burritos, Tortas, everything is great. Beware, this is not an "Americanized" mexican food joint. If you are used the the Azteca's and Las Margaritas of the area and consider that real mexican food you will be suprised with this place. This place is 100% authentic mexican food. If you have ever been to Mexico and eaten the food of the local you will know what I am talking about. My young kids even love eating there. They have kids specific meals like quesidilla's, rice and beans, etc. What a great place! The soccer theme is lots of fun! Soccer is always playing on the flat screen and the decore is all soccer as well. By far the best lunch spot in the Bothell/ Caynon Park area. This is a family that knows their food and has fun doing it. The only thing I am missing is a Tamale when I go there. If they would whip up some real Tamales, then I would be in heaven. Two thumbs up for Aca Las Tortas!!

Okay..... Never again.... First of all I am very skeptical on getting any Mexican from outside, but I went to try it either way with my friends.... I ordered Burrito ASADA (BEEF)... On the menu it said that it should come with Cheese, rice, guacamole, beans and sour cream... When it came to me, the meat was very SALTY and it came WITHOUT the guacamole and sour cream...... VERY/VERY Disappointed, this is just another one of those place CHEAP PAY = CHEAP PRODUCT.... NOT Worth my money and stomach....

I have been here several times and decided to finally take the time to review. I have had tortas, tacos, a burrito, and a huarache. I don't have anything to compare the huarache to, so don't worry too much that I didn't care for it. The flatbread type of substance that it was on was a little too dense and the toppings a little dull. I remember the burrito being a little gristly. The tacos were good and simple, and I still get them from time to time. The tortas, however, are dreamy. By that I mean that if I were to dream of a torta, it would be this one. And that I have dreamt of a torta. I tried them here for the first time, having never noticed them on the menu at other Mexican restaurants, or perhaps having noticed and immediately dismissed the idea as a bit strange. Since trying them here, I have also had them elsewhere, and there is no comparison. I have not been able to order anything but the Monterrey. I crave it regularly. The bread is soft but nicely pressed, and absorbs the tasty beef grease perfectly - think Philly cheesesteak. The carne asada is tender and flavorful. There is a generous amount of queso fresco? (the one that's like fresh mozzerella.) Well-grilled onions, sliced tomatoes, fresh avocado, and jalapenos complete the picture. I'm not sure how the jalapenos are prepared - they taste like maybe pickled then cooked on the flat top - but they're perfect. I love the taste of jalapenos but can't always handle the intensity of the heat, but the way they're cooked subdues that a bit. At 6 or 7 dollars, do yourself a favor and skip the $5 footlong down the sidewalk.

Wonderful food, really cheap for what you get. This is the sister shop to the well known bus (located on 164th street, Mill Creek, WA). Go, bring a few friends, enjoy some of the best Mexican in the area!

Soooo good! It's not easy to find a really good taco.....one that doesn't consist of a hard shell full of head lettuce and bland meat filling. The tacos at Tortas are more "authentic" than anything I've found in this area. Bowls of sliced radishes, jalapenos and carrots await your spoon. I order about 5 tacos. That's about the most I can eat in one sitting. I get the pork, which have a hint of spiciness and are topped with cilantro and onion. I also like the chicken and the beef tacos. I have yet to try the torta, but I've seen other customer's enjoying theirs, so I might have to jump off the tacos and try something new. But they are so good! There are other items on the menu that look good as well. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is due to the fact that the ordering/menu/pay area is a little awkward and tight, especially if, like me, you are ordering to go with 2 small kids waiting with you :-) Go and check it out, you'll see what I mean. This is the type of place that I hope sticks around for a long time. I've always been a little leery of the taco "buses" because they look a little on the unsanitary side, at least from the outside. That's just me. I know, silly little gringa...........

This place is good, but not as good as Barriga Llena in Seattle. The latter specializes exclusively in tortas, whereas this place also serves other antojitos (tacos, quesadillas, etc.). It is nice, however, to see menu items that are uncustomary for the greater Seattle area, such as pambazos, alambres, and huaraches. Moreover, It's pretty heartening to find a decent lunch place in Bothell, which, in my experience, has little to offer. The tortas themselves are good, and there are many varieties, but I find the bread to be too light and flaky, not grilled (like Barriga Llena does) and thus more likely to disintegrate if the torta is juicy or has a lot of sauces -- I'd beware of takeout from here for that reason: you might have a soggy mess by the time you get home. Otherwise, thumbs up, well worth a visit.
