Service was slow 1 cook and 1 server not busy took 15-20 before I got my first sushi. Had the Tokyo roll was ok, the earth roll tasted similar sight different Tokyo was slightly better. Would skip them both next time. I didn't particularly like the green dragon it was ok would skip next time as well. My favorite is actually simple the avocado roll. The miso soup was good too! Had lots of vegetarian rolls yet I didn't like most of them. The chef was very kind gave me a special desert roll cranberries inside and topped with apples and cucumber underneath was ok a bit sweet for me. Will skip this place I prefer sushi Maru

Came here today with a coworker. It wasn't very busy but the chef and server were very welcoming. They have a huge selection of rolls and I'm vegetarian so I was so glad to see a vegetarian section of menu. I ordered the Green Dragon - mix of vegetables with avocado and seaweed salad on top. I also ordered the tamago nigiri which was delicious. They serve delicious food - not incredible, but good quality and you can tell the chef put considerable time and consideration into prepping the meal. He treated us to dessert rolls at the end. My coworker and I agreed that we'll be coming back!

Excellent food at twice the price, plus bubble tea. We eat here at least weekly. We love the Pizza and Dynamite rolls, never having had baked rolls before, but the entire menu is delectable.

I was pleasantly surprised. This place had good lunch specials. I would do lunch here again.

Small sushi shop right across from the DT Bellevue library. It almost looks like a fast food joint, and is quite informal. Service was fairly slow as there was only one chef and server so it took a while to get our food. Prices are decent and they have a varied menu of rolls at different price points. They have the usual popular rolls, but they also have lots of custom rolls that are quite interesting. All the rolls tasted good. $4 super simple rolls (spicy salmon, tuna, egg) $6-$7 standard rolls (california, bulgoki, philadelphia, salmon skin, teriyaki chicken) $10-$12 special rolls (spider, oishi, tempura, red dragon) * Bulgoki roll - delicious beef bulgoki in a roll * Smoked salmon roll - tastes like it sounds * Oishi Roll - This row is special in that it is baked. So comes out piping hot,. The mix of the eel, shrimp, baked scallop, and shrimp and sauce all kind of melt together and makes a delicious gooey mess in your mouth. Definitely not your best sushi, but lots of interesting creative rolls, would come back again to try different rolls.

This is a great little place near the Bellevue Library. They offer a good selection of sushi. It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but it hits the spot! Prices are decent. The owners are very nice as well! They even bring out a little dessert sushi at the end. I eat here often and would recommend it to anyone!

Decent sushi place. Space is tight but it wasn't busy when we went. Very attentive staff. The raw fish was good and nothing to complain about. The chef actually came out to offer dessert sushi to us, which was very thoughtful :)

Sushi is good, service is fantastic, and restaurant is quaint. I have only been twice and both times my dining experience exceeded expectations!

Came here with a friend last Tuesday and brought hubby again on Thursday evening. Nice, quaint restaurant just down the road from where we stayed. The sushi is excellent for the price. We had the super dragon and spicy salmon... Delicious. We were the last customer on Thursday and the owner came over to chat and gave us dessert on the house. Nice touch, friendly service. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.

Such a great little spot, my favorite in B-vue so far. Clean, no pretense, and how can you not appreciate this one-man-show? Such a talent and I look forward to coming back again. The 747 had such a great balance with the lemon zest, and the moon roll was rich and savory. I was even presented a single little dessert roll immediately after finishing my meal. Truly can't say enough good things about this place.

My wife and I just left this place after a truly wonderful meal. We ordered 2 orders of eel nigiri. Just perfect with plenty of eel. This guy isn't stingy! Then we had 2 of the super dragon. Who knew it could get better! I have had a lot of sushi in the area but never have I bitten into sushi with tempura in it and had it be so fresh it was still warm and crunchy! We are so coming back here. Yes, it is a special trip to Bellevue but this sushi is so worth the trip.

The owner and the waitress are both very polite and nice. The food is ok... Nothing that would blow your mind like most of the sushi restaurant in Bellevue. The price is quite high consider its offering and not someplace ill visit again,...

This is my favorite sushi place. It's never too busy and the chef and wait staff are extremely friendly. They have a vegetarian menu that is unlike any other I've seen at a sushi restaurant. I frequently get the Sun Lover roll, and the chef is able to accommodate custom orders. We are frequently presented with a surprise dessert roll that has dried fruit and an apple cream topping. I go here every week and I don't see myself stopping.

I really like they sushi rolls. The service was also always good the few times I've been there and it was also fast when I got it for take-out. The ambience is very casual. I'd definitely recommend it.

Very nice, friendly service. Excellent food. Not extra fancy or anything, but for casual dining and the price it was an excellent experience.

Absolutely love this place. The Super Dragon roll is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. Fresh sushi, good prices, and extremely friendly owners make this my choice sushi place. Plus we regularly get "chef's choice" dessert sushi on the house. So good!

My girlfriends and I stopped by this little place yesterday. We had my 11 month old grandson in tow. This was a wonderful find! We had the Red Dragon rolls, the Rainbow rolls and the Seattle roll. All were delectable. The service was SO friendly. With my little grandson being as active as he is, the owner even entertained him so we could eat. Now that's service!. :-) We enjoyed every minute. The next time we're in town, we'll visit again! Thank you for your ready smiles and wonderful service!

Best sushi in town! We've gone to a lot of places, and none taste as good or as fresh as Rolls and Rolls. I would have taken a picture of the food to show you just how good it is, but I couldn't hardly wait to eat it up! So delish!!!

This place is made me jealous of people who live in Bellevue (which I can say is not a usual feeling for me). It's located in the retail section of a large apartment/condo building. It's a rather small place but it wasn't too busy. The menu has a great selection of simple, fancy, and spicy rolls. They also have a great list of nigiri/sashimi. I like that their sashimi was 6 pieces for twice the price of nigiri. I ordered: Tuna Maki, spicy tuna, salmon sashimi, and miso soup. It's a one-man show here so it was a few minutes for food (less than 10, more than 4). It all came out at once. The miso soup was really good. It had tofu but not seaweed in it. The tuna maki roll was awesome. The ginger (which I put on my tuna roll) was really high quality ginger (it was nice and pink, not yellow). Spicy tuna was really good as well. It had a good after-bite. I loved the sashimi. The pieces were generous and the salmon was tasty. I could see this place as a great dinner/lunch time location. I do think it would get very slow if a large rush came into the restaurant.

Nice little mom-and-pop sushi spot next to the Bellevue Library. One interesting thing was that the server, sushi chef, and cashier were the same person. Never had that experience before! I enjoyed my soup, miso soup, and sushi... but it was definitely just okay. I had the sushi set b, so I had the spicy tuna roll (8 pieces) and about 6 pieces of nigiri. The rice was good and the fish was fine. Perhaps the rolls are more exciting. Not especially excited to go back, but it was an a-ok sushi experience.

The best rolls ever. The Sake was grey too. The meal was topped off with a sweet roll that was really tasty

What a yummy crunchy Tempura roll! It was delicious. The chef let me see how he makes it :) quick service. and the cranberry sushi he made for me in the ending, yumm!

This place is truly a gem! Most wonderful owners and exceptional food. It is one of those best kept secrets of Bellevue! We will be here frequently!!

I found this gem of a sushi place just across from the Bellevue library. The place was empty late in the evening but the chef was very welcoming and pleasant. I ordered two special roles that were amazing. I enjoyed the tea and the ginger was fresh and crisp, just the way I like it. The surprise was a nice dessert sushi on the house. I have been back and plan to go there for a tasty sushi and even meeting friends and colleagues.

30 for 30: Came here for dinner last night with my Restaurant.com gift certificate. It's funny because it has the mom and pop shop feel I would expect from a nigiri and sashimi place but it's all about the rolls. My friend and I ordered 2 miso soups, the rainbow roll, spider roll, tuna special roll and a roll I can't find on the menu that was hamachi and scallions. Everything was nice to good with the rainbow and spider rolls being the best. The fish was all fresh and the flavors good, the most important factor. I am a nigiri/sashimi girl so maybe I should have tasted the nigiri to get more of a feel for the actual fish! lol. There was about 6-8 pieces of each roll. They weren't super huge or super Americanized or fancy. This place's specialty rolls don't have too many crazy sauces and aren't amazing to photograph, like a lot of places, but they are simple and keep to the flavor of the food, a good thing in my book. The service is good. We were the only people there and judging from the other reviews, it seems this place is often empty which is odd. Maybe because of the strange location. Look this place isn't flashy but it's a nice, neighborhood spot to grab a simple dinner. I would come back.

Tucked away in a far little corner of downtown Bellevue is this refreshing little shop. Keep your eyes open because its an easy miss on the corner. The beau and I popped in for a light dinner of their specialty. Sadly there no sashimi on the menu but nigiri will do the trick if you must. This place is obviously all about the rolls. Not complaining here. Rolls aplenty you'll also find plenty of vegetarian options as well as a few basic appetizers. The restaurant is pretty tiny so don't go brining in a crowd, but instead order a pick up like most people I saw do. if I lived closer by I'd likely be doing the same. Delicious and fresh rolls to satisfy a basic sushi craving.

  • Kish S.

If sushi is your comfort food, this is your place in downtown Bellevue! Because I live in the same building as Rolls and Rolls Plus, I take this place for granted. But it should be shared with everyone! It's my go-to place when I want a cozy, comfortable neighborhood-y experience for sushi. While I appreciate the super-fancy omakase experience once in a while, sushi is in my weekly rotation menu so I appreciate solidly delicious versions that don't cost an arm and a leg. (That way I can get it more often, duh.) Also, because I am allergic to rice, Kris, the awesome owner, makes me special hand rolls without rice (spicy scallop, and the All-star with smoked salmon). I uploaded a picture in case you don't believe me. He's awesome, as is this place. Park in the visitor parking on the corner of 110th Ave and 12th St. NE. Get super friendly service along with tasty sushi, and chow down. Life is too short not to eat a lot of sushi!

I was very happy to find this shop! Can't express enough how great the atmosphere is! I feel so comfortable with no one but my friends and I here (3:20pm Friday). The Chef/Waiter was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The table was spotless which made me nothing short of happy. In a discreet corner next to the library with free parking and amazing prices, there's no way I could pick another sushi restaurant nearby. I look forward to eating again here with friends in the future. The sushi went beyond my expectations-- full of flavor and I could tell that the fish was very fresh! A definite must if you're in downtown Bellevue.

My boss and I got take out from here for lunch today because it is located near our workplace. The food took 15-20 minutes to prepare (4 rolls) and was ready at pick-up. The prices are pretty average, but I liked that I could get maki ("appetizer rolls") for about $3-$4. I got a hamachi maki (yellowtail appetizer) and the "747" (broiled salmon belly, cucumber, and lemon zest). I liked the innovation and simplicity of the "747" and it tasted refreshing and filling. I would come here again and try other items on the menu, but it isn't fresh enough to be a go to place outside of a workplace lunch time staple.

Hidden little place in Bellevue. The sashimi was fresh and tasty but the portions were small. Also ordered the spicy scallop roll which was below average. Didn't taste bad but roll was small and you would never have know it was scallop in there.

If you are looking for an authentic Japanese sushi place, do avoid here. I don't mind whether it's authentic, but I do care if it's delicious and fresh. We, 4 people, ordered different plates from the lunch menu. The raw fish meat, except salmon, was not fresh, and thus not delicious. The price was a bit higher than those Kaiten Sushi (conveyor belt sushi) places. The reason why I still gave 2 stars was because the owner was friendly and pleasant. Because there was only the owner in the restaurant, it took us a long time to get our orders. You may need to wait longer if there are other customers there at the same time.

This is my absolute favorite sushi place around Bellevue, a bonus is that we live in the building next to it, so we eat there at least 2-3 times per month. It is small but never crowded, quite often we're the only customers who stay to eat (a lot of people get take-outs). This means nice quiet atmosphere and quick service. The rolls are perfectly sized and easily bite-able (in other places quite often I find rolls so large that approaching them becomes a challenge). The design of rolls is on a simple side, nothing extremely elaborate in terms of decoration (which I believe is a good thing), but the taste is excellent. The choice is great, and I don't recall choosing any roll that was not good - except for some spicier ones which are a bit too hot for me, but my husband devours them passionately. Most of the rolls are between "very good" and "delicious": California, Eclipse, Moon and Krispy shrimp are on top of my list, and my husband loves Mexican. Baked ones, Dynamite and BSC I think, are good too. Oh, and there are complimentary dessert rolls after the main meal, fruity or shrimpy, so far we've counted three different kinds of them :-) The only cons I can think of is that the tables are quite small, especially the two-person ones - if you order 4-5 kinds of rolls, you might have to juggle your plates a bit.

I've eaten here several times, always a big hit with me!! Always fresh, delicious and beautiful! Love the Dragon rolls, the Seattle special , pretty much all of them! The owners are always very attentive and we love the special dessert roll they bring out after dinner....always delicious!

Looks a bit sketch from the street, but I needed a snack before hitting the Bellevue library. Gosh the inside atmosphere is great, very clean as well: completely opposite my thoughts from outside. I was thinking this was one of those pop-in-and-buy-a-premade-roll-then-leave place. I hesitated to stay cause of time, but the owner was so nice and welcoming that I decided to sit down and see what this place had to offer. The roll I ordered (salmon skin) tasted fresh, and he made it on the spot. Nothing was premade. Also the strawberry bubble tea was delicious. Though I would recommend, if you enjoy the tapioca in your bubble tea, to ask for extra. Overall great experience. Definitely would recommend it I you need a snack/break while at the library across the street.

For what it is, I give Rolls and Rolls Plush Sushi 4 stars. It's not the highest quality sushi, but they do have some interesting rolls (or, a lot of rolls!). After reading the reviews here, I remembered to order the 747 which I usually wouldn't (b/c cooked fish isn't what I gravitate to for my sushi fix!), but it was a real surprise: cooked salmon wrapped in rice with a delicate lemon sauce - yum! The quality of the fish is good (not OMGaMaZiNg!) and it does satisfy a sushi craving for about $10-20 less for lunch for 2 than other sushi places in the area (like I Love Sushi or the like). We had the Albacore Delight (my husband LOVES albacore), Geisha Roll and the 747 -- all good! The service is spot on, and the sushi chef seemed genuinely welcoming and happy to make some rolls for us. We were also treated with a special dessert roll at the end of the meal made with fruit which was light and a perfect end to our lunch. This place works in a pinch for a sushi roll fix without breaking the bank! After we left, my husband said that we should definitely go back for more sushi another time!

Not the freshest sushi here. Couple running the restaurant were very nice though and they gave us free dessert. But still food quality was not the best. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Top notch genuine service. It was fifteen minutes to closing and the sushi chef happily served us our complicated order. He was a pleasure! He was friendly with the only other table there - you could tell they were regulars. I would give the food 4 stars but his service makes up for it. Greatly appreciated!

  • Diane V.

Wonderful small sushi...well roll place to eat. We were the last patrons before closing and the waitress or maybe she was an owner held our baby while we ate dinner. She had a blast with our son. If you like rolls then you should try it out. Decent prices and size of rolls.

This is a wonderful place to just relax and enjoy some sushi. It's convieniently located right in downtown Bellevue with more of a quiet and relaxed feel than most restaurants in the area. The sushi rolls were fresh and well priced. My only critique is that there is no alchohol there, which I usually expect at sushi places. But the sushi and service more than make up for it. Overall a good meal and good service. I'm not sure if this is the norm but the sushi chef even made my friend and I complementary desert sushi at the end of our meal.

This place is awesome! We came here during the big snowstorm in January pretty late (around 8:30pm I think) and there was only one gentlemen working, the place was pretty empty. He was super friendly and an awesome server! We placed a large order and he whipped it up no problem and also gave us a complimentary dish of Avacado and Shrimp that excellent. I'm definitely a fan, it's a hole-in-the-wall type sushi place and I live a couple blocks away. The sushi is excellent and I'll be back soon.

This is a cute mom and pop sushi place that I've walked past a few times since moving into the neighborhood. My fiance and I decided to finally check it out last night. We went there an hour before closing and were the only ones there but we were greeted by the friendly chef. We ordered the NY special roll, hama lover roll, spicy scallop handroll, and some nigiri. The NY special included salmon and the hama lover roll included yellowtail. The rolls were very simple but fresh and delicious. They actually have quite an extensive list of rolls on the menu that I would like to try during our next visit. The prices are excellent and service is great. We also got a complimentary dessert roll after our meal. We will definitely return!

  • Cassie Y.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Service was amazing. I ordered cucumber rolls and this amazing combination of sun dried tomato and avocado called the Sun Lover and my boyfriend ordered a California roll and a chicken teriyaki roll. The food was amazing. The menu was also really awesome. I couldn't believe how many specialty rolls they had for vegetarians either (usually I expect combinations of radish, avocado and cucumber). After dinner we were surprised with a mango dessert roll, super delicious. Great prices, service, food... we will definitely be going again.

  • Mary J.

Two things you must remember when going out for sushi. There is upscale and there is dumpy. Rolls and Rolls is neither. If there were a category for mom and pop, neighborhood sushi place, this would be it. The owner is typically going to be your server as well as the man preparing the rolls. If you're in a hurry, call ahead and take it to go. I've been going here for years and there were many a time that my lunch break included flying down the 405 from Bothell to Bellevue just for this sushi. The prices are great for the sushi you get. It is the perfect balance between upscale and cheap. The rolls are delicious, quality of fish is incredible and you can tell by each roll the amount of care put into it. If you're undecided on lunch and have a craving for sushi and happen to be on the Eastside, this is a great spot. If you're looking for a dining experience, there are others that may better suit that need.

Wow, what happened to this place? I remember that the few times that I've been here in the past the sushi has been pretty good, however its definitely not up to par. The rolls are tiny and mediocre. The spicy scallop is cooked and not raw... wtf? And the dynamite roll, uhm yeah... I think it was missing a few items in the roll. However, the service and the people who work there are very friendly. But I would not go back there again for sushi. Sorry.

  • Cliff D.

Just ok. Tuna roll tasted off. Salmon toll was good. Special Alaska roll (smoked salmon, cream cheese, topped with lox) was a bit dry and not very soft. Miso soup was tasty. A bit expensive.

While visiting some friends in Bellevue, we went here for a late lunch. It's kind of a hole in the wall and wasn't crowded at all. The service was pretty fast. The menu had a lot of selection too. It was pretty tasty sushi. I enjoyed the rolls we ordered (The Bay Roll was pretty yummy!) and the chef brought us a complimentary dessert roll. I've never had a dessert roll before so it was a fun surprise!

I love this place! A few weeks ago I went there for lunch, at the recommendation of one of my friends. I was greeted by the sushi chef, who had a welcoming smile on his face the whole time, politely took my order and suggested a few things - I wasn't quite sure what to order, there were plenty of options on the menu, and everything sounded so good! My lunch was absolutely scrumptious! Also, at the end of the meal he prepared a dessert roll with blueberries... so light and so incredibly delicious, that I could have had a dozen of them! They really should put it on the menu, it was YUMMY! Will definitely go back.

We used a coupon that required us to order their special rolls, so, while I thought they were over-priced, the meal turned out well. We ordered Albacore special, Ebi special, Dynamite and Rainbow. Thought all of the rolls were presented well (very appealing!) and quite tasty, though not especially so. Hard to address the service. We were there somewhat early (around 4:30 PM), so the place was run by one gentleman. But a very pleasant experience.

I love this place. The variety of rolls is insane!! The 747 roll with broiled salmon belly and lemon zest is my #1 pick. Take a closer look and you'll notice that not only is the chef cute, but he also makes the cutest rolls. I like how he uses the different colors of fish to create geometric patterns. His food is creative and you can tell he takes pride in his work. One request is to add onigiri sushi to the menu, too. I would love to get it to go!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Ordered takeout - spicy salmon, Hawaiian and a couple others but those two are specifically to be avoided. We opened the box and were a bit worried but thought that maybe it would taste better than it looked -the fish was dull, kind of flaky and not appetizing - unfortunately, this was not the case. The tuna was so low quality that both my husband and I ate a piece and decided that we probably shouldn't eat anymore because it was so bad it might make us sick. Extremely disappointing, we were staying in a hotel and literally had nothing else to eat without going out to find something else and yet still we did not eat the majority of the takeout we ordered. The entire experience can be summed up in two words - extremely disappointing. My advice would be to go anywhere but here.

  • Robert K.

What makes it overall below average? Fish quality is bad and pricing is high for what you get. For a tad more, id rather go elsewhere. They are nice people with good service. Dishes: volcano roll is decent, other rolls are okay but definitely not good quality as I said above. Disclaimer: I'm not a huge fan of rolls but rated unbiased.

  • Olivia L.

Super disappointed! The place is very small with very poor ventilation so you smell like a tempura roll when you leave. Anyway,...I came in with husband and child for the first time. I asked what was offered for children, The response was: a bowl of rice, no chicken, no egg, just rice. Ok, so we ordered a bowl of rice and a few rolls so we could share some of the ingredients with her. We waited for about 25 mns, finally the rolls arrived and the server said: " we don't have any more rice". What??? No more rice? No sushi rice, not any rice? "No, we have no more rice" we were told. "Nothing" This is on a Friday night, 40% occupancy. Really? So we asked if they had Miso soup for her. Meanwhile, 2 long rolls arrived for another table (????? Really?? No more rice?) AND! To top it off, as we wait for the bill, we are brought 2 dessert sushi slices. We left very confused because we were told we could not order anymore sushi due to their lack of rice, so we left hungry. Plain-intelligible English was spoken. I do not understand where things went wrong. The rolls were "ok" and after what ordeal we went through, we will stick to Kobe.

One of best places I've ever ate rolls. Very nice and responsive owner (alias cook). Try different rolls and choose ones you really like. Tasty and cosy.

  • Stella J.

Went there with a restaurant.com certificate for $25 off $35 tab, the place looks decent enough, but we were the only people dining on a Friday night. We picked out our sushi but were then told we had to order from the "special" sushi...ok $5 more. Sushi was ok nothing to write home about, service was good but weird. The owner was both waiter/chef/greeter. What upset me was that they automatically added 20% to the bill for our party of two and never informed us of this. This would be ok, only they still left the tip line blank so we double tipped.40% yes our fault but still very lame. Will not be going back.

We went on a weekday afternoon and the place was nearly half full. We were immediately greeted by the waiter and had a lovely meal. Food (4/5) The sushi rolls were quite delicious and meticulously prepared. The ingredients were fresh and we were very happy with the food. My only complaint is that some of the special rolls weren't much more extravagant than regular rolls. The seared salmon on top was especially delicious! Value (4/5) For the size and ingredients, the rolls are at an average price of most sushi places. Service (5/5) Service is where this restaurant shines. Both the waiter and sushi chef were incredibly friendly and attentive, in addition to happily accommodating our special dietary requests. We received some of the best service we've had at a restaurant in a long time and they went above and beyond our expectations. Ambiance (4/5) The restaurant is a casual place with minimal frills and fairly basic decorations, but overall was quite nice and welcoming. Overall (4/5) This is a great place to get sushi in a casual setting. We'll definitely be back!

  • Ted H.

Five stars because of the price, which is pretty unbeatable. The quality of fish is good and the sushi is well-prepared. The chef brought us a free dessert roll which I thought was a really nice touch. The lemon lox roll was unorthodox but my girlfriend and I both loved it. I will be back when I'm in the area. Disclaimer: I live in Saint Louis currently but was born and raised in Seattle so I don't entirely lack sushi credibility.

  • Todd L.

It's not the most amazing sushi but it's an awesome value, which counts for a lot (especially in Bellevue). This place is quaint, clean, and has seating for about 20. No booze but the sushi and rolls are great and the prices are very reasonable. I just ordered another couple rolls for lunch today.

This place has what its namesake indicates in spades - a huge variety of different standard and specialty rolls. Decor is minimal, service is polite and efficient, and the rolls are adequate - with the wide variety, unless you are 100% anti-sushi, you can surely find something to your liking. I used to come here frequently when I first moved to the Seattle area as I can walk here, but now I am spoiled by other sushi venues like Izumi on the Eastside and Mashiko in Seattle. However, if you're looking for a quick sushi fix and you're not looking for nigiri/sashimi and you happen to be in the area, Rolls and Rolls will satisfy.

Owner seemed nice, and even served some dessert sushi on the house, but most of the sushi we'd ordered was pretty mediocre, some of the fish tasted "fishy", and my stomach was unhappy a couple of hours later :(

Back when I was a strict vegetarian - this was the place I loved to frequent to satiate my sushi cravings. They have so many different vegetarian options - some with cucumbers, vegetables, daikon radish and yay mushrooms! I am such a mushroom whore. Anyways - the service is friendly, fast and the food delicious. Its fresh and at such a decent price. You can totally get 8 pieces of sushi for no more than 7 to 8 dollars (this is assuming you get something super expensive). This is perfect if you just want something quick and easy to grab and considering its right across from the Bellevue library that makes it pretty damn convenient too.

If you are looking for inexpensive, but decent sushi with presentation that is better than what you would expect given the price of rolls this is your place. Everything I had here was made quickly and the service was frequent and timely without being overbearing. The sushi itself was certainly not the best I have ever had, but the pricing is sooo good that you definitely get more than you pay for. The chef gave the two of us a complimentary dessert and thanked us both for coming in. I will definitely be returning the next time I want a quick and well priced sushi fix. Highly recommended for a quick and inexpensive sushi fix.

this place is small and I and my husband went there once and all certain we'll never ever go there again. When we entered the restaurant, it is weird that it is empty. Nobody dining in this place. It is the first time we dining in a place that throughout the whole dinner, no one came in or out. The food is just so so and small in amount . The chef is also the waiter and cashier, who charged us gratuity for party of 4., The whole experience is so disappointing and I can see why this place is empty during dinning hours.

Better rolls than you can get anywhere else in Bellevue. Absolutely cheap, totally a hole-in-the-wall sort of place (they're attached to the nail salon next door - same owners? Signs point to "yes") This is my standby for quick to-go sushi rolls. Huge variety and all very tasty.

Best sushi on the east side for the price IMO. Ths is the hidden jewel sushi place of Bellevue

After moving to Seattle and not being so close to Rolls and Rolls Plus Sushi I miss it so much! I'm writing this update to mention that last time we went, they did in fact serve beer. I don't know if that is new, or if I didn't realize it before because it wasn't advertised. We'll be back soon!

Amazed at the variety of rolls. The name does say it all. Very fresh and I think an excellent value. Staff/owner are incredibly friendly and attentive. That said, don't be in a hurry. I have been fortunate to go to this place when my daughter and I have one of our "outings" and we are not in a hurry. But the small staff and attentive prep means you will spend some time waiting. Speaking of daughter, this was her first sushi experience. Now she's hooked. The freshness made her willing to try (and LIKE!) the Sashimi. Can't wait for our next outing!

Excellent smaller restaurant, the rolls weren't smothered with sauce (YUCK!) The Sushi chef came out to our table to make sure everything was to our liking. I asked about the Sake menu and the Chef took the time to explain each one. I enjoyed the individual service I received, which matched the wonderful meal. I have allergies and the Chef too special care to make sure it was perfect. Love the complementary desert too!

So I went here for lunch one day because I was in the neighborhood. The place is quite small, and the owner was also the sushi chef. It reminds me a "hole in the wall" type of place where it's quant and you get to know the chef, but it's in downtown Bellevue. Anyhow, I ordered a spider roll and a miso soup. The soup was $1.50 I think, but the spider roll was $13!?!?! Are you kidding me? That's the price I expect to pay at "Flo," and not at some hole in the wall type of place. I mean it was good and all, but definitely not worth $13. Even the free "dessert" roll that the owner gave me at the end didn't make me feel better about overpaying for sushi. Needless to say, I don't plan on coming back.

As sushi has gotten more and more trendy over the past decade when a person wants to go eat sushi the options are almost as plentiful as getting fast food. What stands out to me about this place is two things, the price and the actual product. While there are a lot more aesthetically appealing places (not that this place is abhorrent) its hard to find a better value especially in Bellevue. The selection is also amazing. Everything from vegetarian and rolls with a Korean flair. If you like Korean food try the Bi Bim Bop roll amazing! Also they are really friendly there as well. The last time I was in there it wasn't busy and I talked with the chef there and he made me a desert roll that was great as well. If your looking to wear a sport coat or a dress and you want to feel like your in a real sushi restaurant in Japan this place is not for you. But if your going to just enjoy some good sushi in a relaxed, laid back environment this is a place you need to try.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! The owner and sushi chef, Chris, is so friendly and nice! He always comes out to talk to us and make funny faces at our one year old daughter. It is a great place for a date night or a family meal. The food is great and the bubble tea is the best we've ever had! Thanks, Chris!

The rolls are great. This place is a small shop on the corner. Not a lot of tables. There is a wide variety of rolls and sometimes a surprise desert roll may come after the meal. The desert roll isn't even on the menu so you can't order.

Great place to satisfy your sushi craving. Besides a handful of appetizers, the menu is all sushi. I recommend the Dynamite roll, really good. Didn't realize there is covered parking right next to the place because there is construction going on, but there is also street parking around the block. Price of the rolls are on the spendy side, but we had a coupon, so look for those online coupons for this place. Service is okay for a small place; had to ask for more water but it wasn't too hard since the place is small and I could get the waiters attention easy. This place is worth the try for anyone who enjoys sushi and rolls, rolls, rolls,....

Good stuff! I have to mention that after we finished our food, they gave us a free off-menu dish. It was a delicious yellowtail appetizer. How many places do that? Okay, for that I'll bump them up to 4 stars. It looks and feels like a teriyaki joint but all they serve is sushi: traditional and non-traditional sushi. There are two older men making sushi and a super nice waiter. I think they're Korean, but I'm not sure. Their menu is super long and all sushi. I wouldn't say they're cheap though. I'd say their prices are about average. E.g., their sushi platter is about. $18; complicated rolls can be $12. The sushi quality is above average and you could get full on one roll. I recommend the sake roll and the dragon roll. Yum.

Went in one evening, really hungry, and in the mood for something warm (yes, I know, a sushi place is the wrong place to go for warm food). So I ordered the Caterpillar and the Dynamite rolls (notice the demolition theme I have going there? :-). Neither is very traditional sushi, but I like how both the rolls are flavorful. The price for each was $10 which is OK. I like how the rice is not cold, and even the rice by itself has this unique flavor (or was I imagining it?). Since I did takeout, I did not have the tea or the miso soup. But I did rush to my car, and demolish (there we go again) the dynamite roll right there. Needless to say, I was sated. I like this place for their reasonably-priced yet innovative, flavorful sushi. The sushi chef and wait-staff are very friendly. I will be back.

Wonderful! The sushi chef is amazing and so nice. My husband and I went there often when we lived in Redmond. it. When we get the chance to visit this place is on our list of places we have to eat at.

This place has very creative rolls. The atmoshpere is clean and economical (not very fancy at all). The food was great and the service was good. One of my favorite places to go on the Eastside for Sushi!

Rolls and Rolls is a good, casual sushi shop with a nice selection. It's located across the street from the Bellevue library so it's not out in the sticks, but it's not in a super-busy part of bellevue. The restaurant doesn't seat more than 20-25 people, and the sushi chefs say hi and bye to you when they come in. And the hostess was cute and friendly so overall I really liked the service. The sushi selection is pretty good, very wide in the maki roll category. A lot of the American-y/California-y mixed rolls with a sauce. Not so much in the sashimi or nigiri or inari but I think most people like maki anyway. The prices weren't cheap but they weren't expensive either. We had a good time here though. It was relaxed, and we felt pretty comfortable sitting around for a couple hours chatting and probably making too much noise but they were nice to us. The decor is kind of sparse, but that's part of what I like about this place. It's next door to a hair and nail salon and it's just not a stuffy place. If you're looking for one of those, this probably isn't for you, but if you like a quiet individual sushi shop with takeout, you're in luck with rolls and rolls plsu sushi.

Sucked! Seriously, if you gave this place better than a one star you've never had good sushi! I'd like to say tasteless, but I still have the flavor of CANNED shrimp in my mouth! Also the whole place had a choking smell of burnt oil. My hair smelled like it for an hour after we left.

A very modest restaurant with the utmost wonderful tasting fresh made and beautiful rolls! Service is excellent, it's always clean and spotless and well lit and the selection of rolls is large and delicious! Reasonable prices for works of art on every plate. A great little place to relax and enjoy the scenery through big windows too. I have tried many different rolls, Super Dragon, Volcano, Spider, Tempura, but my favorite is still the House Special. Me and my family travel from Puyallup to Bellevue for all of my special occassions like Anniversary and birthday and any other day we have time to enjoy their delicious rolls. They are always fresh, beautiful and scrumtious. Wish we had a branch in Puyallup, I'd eat lunch there daily!!! They are not open Sundays, :(

This place is great. You can get fresh and tasty sushi rolls quickly without paying an arm and a leg. Like other reviewers have said, it's nothing fancy and doesn't have the ambiance of nicer sushi restaurants, but it's a great casual place you don't have to dress up for.

Fresh and fast: two things that I appreciate from a Sushi joint. This place doesn't do anything else but rolls so their menu is loaded with variety. Unpretentious and doesn't take itself too seriously, this place is a fine choice when in the mood for a sushi roll. The food is fresh and simply put together.

So....I don't really like sushi which is why I really like this place! They have like 10-12 "non-sushi" type rolls that are really good...chicken teriyaki, sun dried tomato etc. And I've been here with some big sushi lovers that say it's pretty good too!

This place is the Japanese equivalent of take out pizza, but what good pizza it is. This is no frills japanese - a couple of tables inside of a restaurant with lackluster decor and a bustling take out business. Hidden under a condo complex, it's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. You can get rolls with different fillings - 101 different kinds of rolls on their menu or design your own. There's no nigiri sushi, sashimi or fancy tuna carpaccio with 2 sauces, but what they do have is yummy! Get the dynamite roll. It's a california roll topped with mayonnaise, seafood and I don't know what else, baked on a piece of foil and served hot from the oven. I feel hungry just thinking about it.
