We're here at SML for a week-decided to try the Sunday brunch. Called ahead, was told there was no wait. Literally after arriving 2 minutes later from or room, there was a 20 minute wait. Omelet to order was excellent-everything else out on the buffet was either empty (8:45 AM) or store bought. Really disappointing brunch-no carving station or fish. Waiter disappeared. Obviously extremely understaffed for a Holiday weekend. Will eat off property for the remainder of our stay.

okay so fort the price of this dinner i was totally disappointed. the place was gorgeous inside and we got there a little early. we sat at the bar and had a glass of champagne. paid for it at the bar by credit card. 20.00. then we both ordered the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. 65.00 each for dinner and another 35.00 each for wine tasting (1 champagne and 3 glasses of wine) first they bring us a roll with butter. cold and hard. strike one. then we have a mushroom cappacino. really cute. looked like a cup of cappacino. outstanding. not very hot but flavor was awesome! and then fresh motz and plum tomatoes on greens with hot bacon dressing. fantastic! redeemed. then next course was gnocci in cream sauce. needed salt, luke warm and brussel sprouts in it-huge, cut in half and raw. gross then pork loin (came with bone-i call that a pork chop)both overcooked. came with mashed sweet potatos and spinach. then dessert-chocolate mouse with tart raspberry sauce. awful. couldnt eat. disgusting. and let me addt he wine glasses were mini. not even full size resaurant glasses. at 9.00 each they should have been a normal size. oh and i went to the bathroom. it was in a hotel so i left restaurant and went downstairs. there was a wedding going on nearby. there were a man and woman in a stall doing it in ladies room! wt????? and then we had to wait 20 min to get our car from valet. and you had to valet. no other option. oh-another thing-they added the 20.00 for the champagne to our bill. i had alreayd paid for it. a restaurant that cost that much they need to check and see before tacking it onto a bill. also never acknowledged our special occasion.

Food was not bad but not great. The price did not match the quality. When you pay 30 bucks plus a plate you want great.

Great atmosphere. Beautiful resort. The food is a huge disappointment. The Gnocchi were soggy and undercooked. Ordered scallops for entree...they came out raw and cold. After a second attempt, still undercooked and lukewarm and extremely salty. Just gave up, paid the bill and ordered room service.

Im a frequent fine diner and traveler. I went there with my boyfriend for an anniversary trip and we thought the food and service is only ok for a supposedly "fine-dining restaurant that earned a AAA four diamond distinction. I'm not going to write in details with what's wrong with food and service but they need to provide better food and service for the prices they charge.

It is better than your average hotel restaurant. Food is fresh and well prepared. However there are other choices in Stowe, that are well worth exploring.

WHAT.THE.HECK. Happened to this place??? We come to stowe every year and look forward to our dinner here... We saw our server 3 times the entire meal and had to flag down a manager to pay. Ordered the snapper which was terribly bland. No cheese plates offered, which is weird for VT. Red wine served in white wine glasses. I can name 20 restaurants in stowe that I'd visit before ever returning here again. So disappointed, and would give negative stars if I could.

Great wings. Great hummus. Great for a little midday ski break. Be ready to wait for a table. Have had dinner here which was impressive as well.

My criteria for a good dinner meal experience include the following elements: 1) Decor / appearance of the restaurant. Solstice is a beautiful space with an open kitchen / you can see the flames leaping. 2) Service: The staff was very friendly, accommodating, made nice conversation, and just was very pleasant. That is an important component of the dinner theater. 3) Food choices / Menu: Lots of great options, nice wine list. 4) Taste - the food was delicious. And they have mac & cheese. Get it. Seriously. Terrific Tuna Tartar. Sumptuous salad. Rockin' rolls (bread). Great restaurant, well done, highly recommend.

Overpriced, weak service, good menu but poorly cooked. Burnt steak. Mushy fries. Altogether a tourist trap as would be expected way up there.

The service was well done however while all the dishes were fine they were all underwhelming. It just seemed that they all lacked seasoning and a distinct flavor profile. The polenta with the lamb shank had an odd flavor and the lobster in the haddock special was overdone, the salmon was under seasoned but cooked properly. A glass of Pinot noir was served in a white wine glass. All small things but when combined they add up to an expensive meal that was very plain.

impeccable and personal service. that married with wonderful food make this a gem of a place. having an 19 month old enables me to truly test establishments when it comes to how they treat you. very pleased with the level of attentiveness given during our dinner even with a fussy boy. will be sure to make this a regular stop on the Stowe circuit.

The restaurant is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately the food does not live up to it. My husband ordered the prime rib special medium rare and when it was served to him it was grey. It should have never been served to him. So then they offered him a ribeye and he asked for it med rare. When it was served it was black and blue. The rest of the tables food was ok but not worth the cost. There is much better restaurants in Stowe.

My wife and I came for a two night stay at Stowe Mountain Lodge this past weekend and couldn't wait to eat at what seemed like a very fine dining restaurant right at our hotel! Before we went out to ski on Saturday morning we went over to the hostess desk to make a reservation. She intoned it was almost booked but if we were willing to take a late reservation she might be able to fit us in at 9. She made it seem like she was doing us a favor so we were thrilled (we don't mind eating late at all). When we showed up at 8:30 the place was half empty leading us to wonder why we were given such a hard time about getting a 9 o'clock reservation. We were sat right next to the window which we quickly found was very cold. We asked the server to turn the heat vents right next to us on and she said she would look into it. We ordered red wine and an appetizer. The red wine arrived in white wine glasses which we thought was odd but didn't complain. It was then a solid 15 minutes before a manager then came over to take our order. We watched and wondered if our server had forgotten about us as she served all the tables around us. When she finally realized we hadn't ordered yet we saw her walk up to a manager, whisper something in his ear, and then he came over to take our order. We ordered and complained to him about the cold. He said he would contact engineering to see if anything could be done. Nothing ever was. It remained cold throughout the meal. The appetizer (gnocci) was excellent as well as the wine. The snapper I ordered was bland and tiny. The lamb my wife had was ok but not amazing. The food quality did not match the reputation, ambiance, and pricing on the menu. Save yourself some money and have dinner at hourglass instead. We had lunch there twice on our stay and each meal easily exceeded our experience at solstice in both food and service quality. I almost feel bad writing this review as we had an amazing time during the rest of our stay, great skiing, beyond expectation accommodations, and comfort at this hotel. Our experience above would not prevent us from staying at the hotel again.

Food is decent but not worthy or the extremely high prices. Thanksgiving day was a so so buffet for $75 pp. My teens ate about $10.00 worth tops. We recommend eating off site because portions are small, food is decent but they price gouge for the convenience.

Very sub par experience. My girlfriend and I traveled from Boston to Stowe for a weekend getaway and had a reservation at Solatice. We first entered the resort and were nearly trampled by children running rampant. We arrived early, so decided to sit at the bar, which was full. As we tried to find a seat a hostess, very rudely, nudged us as she was trying to walk around us more than once. The bartender who served us was a young man who had no problem telling customers how much he was compensated at the resort, but when asked for a drink, was rude and seemed entitled. The drinks we're OK and the beer selection is very limited. We were seated next to a window, which, in the middle of a Vermont winter was very cold. Our waitress was kind and attentive in the beginning. For appetizers we got the mussels and cheese plate which was good. I ordered a beer for the entree, which never came. For entrees we tried the filet and venison which sat under the heats lamps for a solid 20 minutes before they were tabled. The entrees were good, nothing to write home about. During the entire time we ate our entrees, our waitress never came to check on us. My girlfriend politely went up to the manager about 10 minutes after our plates were taken to tell her how disappointed our time was. The manager was sweet and removed the beer I ordered, and never came, and also tacked on a discount. When the waitress finally came back to get our bill, she asked for our valet ticket so our car would be ready by the time we walked out. As we walked out, the valet did not recieve the notification and took nearly 10 minutes to bring the car around. Overall, very dissapointed. The manager was super sweet, otherwise every encounter with employees at the resort came off entitled and flat out rude. Not worth the time or effort. I would recommend if you're foing to drive up the mountain to go to Top Notch.

After eating from this menu a few times while at the Lodge (not my choice) I can say that this place is not great, particularly for a vegan. I feel that when paying this much for food, the chef should be of a caliber that can find ways to accommodate dietary restrictions without compromising flavor. I hate to sound stuffy, but think about it - the first night I ordered a pizza without cheese, and the crust and sauce were bland and had a store-bought taste and texture. The pizza was supposed to have arugula but came with just a sprinkling of leaves. Whether or not the cheese was missing, the crust, sauce and toppings should be flavorful. My other experiences included a salad that was chock full of dried cranberries and not much else, and "crispy" fries that were waffled and tasted double-fried, old and chewy. I can't believe they use these things for poutine. That is sacrilege. It may have been due to the heightened holiday season, but service was very slow and uneducated about the menu. Comparing other non-vegan dishes with the service, I can also say that the quality does not warrant the price.

Was very underwhelming. Made reservations in advance...told them we are celebrating a big birthday (it was only 2 of us) I asked them to do something special but not corny (no clapping and singing) and that i dont mind paying for it. I was not looking for a freebie. They said no problem...there would be a dessert platter with "Happy 40th" written. Instead, there were 2 truffles with a candle. The food was ok, but not great. Drinks were also very meh. I wouldnt come here again

I went to Solstice looking for a fine dining experience in Vermont. The restaurant is located in the Stowe Mountain Lodge behind Hourglass, which is up the stairs from the left side of the lounge area in the lobby. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated by the window near some other guests even though there was plenty of tables open in the restaurant. The restaurant calls for dressy attire, but many people were dressed casually, which provided the feeling that the restaurant wasn't as upscale as expected from the website. The restaurant had an open kitchen, which was nice as you could see the chefs work on the food. The waiter was nice, but he took a while to come back to the table every time we needed him, even though the restaurant was far from crowded inside. He was nice enough to swap my girlfriend's ice wine for a different wine since he suggested it and she didn't like how sweet it tasted to her. As for the food, my girlfriend had the hand rolled ricotta gnocchi and I had the smoked and braised duck leg. My girlfriend really enjoyed her gnocchi and the duck leg was good, but nothing special. Next, my girlfriend had the sirloin of beef while I had the veal chop since they didn't have the venison medallions available that night which was a disappointment to me. I added the pan seared duck foie gras to my meal as it is one of my favorite foods. The veal was good but nothing special and the foie gras was good and looked appetizing but wasn't warm when I ate it. I didn't bother to send it back since they would have only ruined it if they tried to heat it up more. My girlfriend didn't want to send her sirloin of beef back to the kitchen, but it was cold when she received it at the table. For a side dish, we had the truffled mac and Vermont cheese which was good. After our entrees, we had the traditional creme brulee and an upside-down pear cake. The creme brulee was delicious while the cake was just good. Overall, Solstice didn't provide the experience I was hoping for, but I would most likely give them a second chance next time I go to Stowe, VT so I can try the venison medallions with some foie gras.

Solstice on Spruce Mountain has been a lunch go-to for the fam and I since we've been coming to Stowe together. We usually hit it around 11:30 am, as anytime AFTER that, you're gonna be waiting for QUITE a while. Solstice is a great place for lunch. Their menu is great, and the view of Mansfield from the huge windows is always nice to dine next to. Our favorites are definitely: -The wings (order them "wet," they're delicious; top 5 of all-time for me) -Flat bread pizzas (Classic is delicious and consistent) They also give a generous glass of bourbon when you order, which is ALWAYS a plus. Prices aren't too bad either, for on-the-mountain lunch!

There's a reason this place has more 1 star reviews than any other restaurant in town. Not a fine dining experience when you know more about the menu than the server. Staff was too prententious for minimum wage hourly employees--from valet to hostess. Even the restaurant manager needs to bring it down a notch. FYI...just because you charge the most, doesn't mean you're the best! I have been here 4 times and have disappointed during each dining experience. They are now on their 7 th chef in 7 years. Food and Beverage managers come and go even more frequently--no surprise to see their lack of consistency.

Well when you at Stow Lodge you really don't have a choice but to go here. The food is really not bad. It's mostly the service and the wait. The tuna tartar was average. I had a couple of their signature drinks they absolutely sucked. Our waiter was slow as can be didn't go over specials and I think they over did my med steak. Again my score is because they made us wait with a reservation at 9:30 . we were staying at the hotel and the resturaunt was empty. We again went for bfast and its just a buffet prefixed price even if you want a coffee and bagel and the line to get in is crazy yet lots of empty tables. I think for such a high priced meal it should have better service and a much more flavorful menu. They are suppose to be farm to table but I don't see that at all. It's a missmatch all over the menu and the chef dosent deliver . The staff needs a customer service makeover and to read SETTING THE TABLE by Danny Meyer.

The food is good basically 4 star worthy but there needs to be some disparity because there are a lot of 4 star places that I feel are much better than this place in general. Service is great they have an separate dining area restaurant kind of deal and a dining area situated around the bar. The wings were great 4 star quality definitely. I got the quesadilla which wasnt really filled all that mucha nd had a tortilla on top of a tortilla instead of folded over tortilla which is the norm. Quesadlla was ok but thats about it. My girlfriend got the reuben which I ate half of which was actually really good. The chili looks amazing too and the french fries are overall satisfactory. Prices here are insane which is what makes this place 3 stars. Some of the drinks cost double then they did at dinner at the Stowe Hoff the night before. Thats just kind of interesting to me. Decent selection for beers on tap overall the experience and food is close to 4 stars but again I need some disparity. A 3.5 star place or higher end 3 star joint depending on how you want to look at it.

Service was terrible. We waited over 15 minutes for our waitress to order drinks and then it took another almost 15 minutes for them to arrive. Our entrees weren't served for almost 1.5 hours. However the food was delicious. For the price you are paying, I expect much better service and scenery. The manager, Dustin, eventually offered us a managers 10% discount and took care of our drinks, cheese plate and a friends burger that wasn't cooked correctly. Overall I was so disappointed! Stowe is an awesome mountain and the lodge is beautiful, I would have expected their fancy restaurant to be much better.

Solstice was our second choice restaurant for our anni celebration dinner (couldn't get reservations for Cliff House). While the service and ambiance were excellent, the food left a lot to be desired. Drinks: A glass of sparkling rosé for me and cab sauv for him. They just updated and expanded their wine list. The pear martini seemed to be a good choice too - it was garnished with a whole pear slice! Apps: The amuse-bouche (shredded carrots and raisin slaw) lacked a desirable punch of flavor for a pre-courser. We started with a cheese plate and chose all local VT brands: Cabot Creamery's cheddar (cow's milk), Lake's Edge (goat's milk with a soft consistency), and Verano (sheep's milk, similar to blue cheese). This was the highlight of our meal - the cheeses and the accompaniments (raw honey from Lake Champlain, walnuts, and stone fruit chutney) were all phenomenal. Yup, this was my kind of night cheese (Liz Lemon reference). The pan seared foie gras was also delicious and I'm not even a big fan of duck liver. Entrees: I ordered the pan seared scallops with butter poached lobster [claws] enhancement. The dish was beautifully presented, but only one side of the scallops was seared, and that side was burnt; meanwhile the lobster meat was a tad overcooked. My bf ordered the chef's signature item: braised lamb shank with mashed polenta - we've had more tender lamb at restaurants in our hometown, Boston. We shared the tasting flight of 3 sides (truffled mac & VT cheddar cheese, whipped potatoes, and ratatouille) - good but nothing 'wow' about them. No dessert for us but we did enjoy the complimentary petit four (tartlets with liquid caramel and Himalayan salt). Our waiters (we had two) were knowledgeable and friendly. The space was elegant, warm and inviting. However, the food was sub-par at the high price point. I might give brunch a try next time but won't return for dinner.

This place is not buttoned up. It's like dining in a food hall, and the food is not very good, we had the beef which was ok, but outrageously priced. The lobster side was the worst I've ever had. It's a fancy place with no substance.

We recently stayed here for a short 3 day stay, and ate breakfast twice, and lunch and dinner once while staying at the Lodge Food:Mostly Good, slightly above average. Solid, nothing terribly inventinve, but reliable fare. I enjoyed my duck, and it was well prepared, not over-cooked and flavorful. The recipe had a decidely French flair. Breakfast was a mixed bag.The french toast was too light probably from not being sokaed in batter long enough, and not custardy. Both the pancakes and franch toast were served with real Vermont syrup, not alot, but enough. For lunch I had the Reuben, which was very good. My wife had the Mushroom flatbread, it really should be called the Garlic flatbread as she picked off- no lie- 30 cloves of garlic. It's nice that you dont have to leave to get decent food, it is pricey however. Service:Fine, nothing spectacular. But was not poor or lacking. Value:Poor-overpriced, what you would expect at a ski lodge retaurant. Atmosphere:Well here is the problem-lots of kids here. So this is NOT the place to go for a romantic night, unless you enjoy kids rough-housing at the table next to you. So no problems coming with a family with lots of young children. Not what I look for in a restaurant, but they have to eat somewhere, although I imagine that would get quite expensive. It does have an enjoyable lodge feel though- and was not tacky.

Considering this restaurant resides in one of Stowe's premier resorts, this restaurant is lack luster! The service is sketchy & the food is mediocre. Also, get with the times -- serving foie gras? I will no longer patron a restaurant that has zero conscience for humane farming. That is not the Vermont way.

  • Ken C.

Not bad, but not quite worth the price. VT cuisine has a lot to offer, and they cover about half. The room and open kitchen is beautiful. And the resort is a bit of a drive from other Stowe options. I can't put my finger on it, but I just wish they would do something to make it a tad more special. I can see how tourists might find the emphasis on VT "buy local" to be unique, but for those of us who live here, we have a dozen great restaurants who do this just as well and halt to 2/3rds the price. For instance, drive to Waterbury for Hen In The Woods or to Richmond for The Kitchen Table. Same (maybe better?) localvore flavor, at much less the price.

Carchuterie and Cheese plates are a must. Django was our server. Food was very nice. Wine list had a reasonable selection. Django made our night! Great personality, super attentiveness, offered his expertise on our selections, and shared at our request, his great sense of humor. We had a wonderful evening and look forward to coming back to the lodge and dinner at Solstice. Tom and Laura.

My wife and I ate here three times during our stay. Twice for dinner and once for breakfast. I can say that the staff was extremely attentive and when the dinners were good, they were unbelievable. Stowe Mountain Lodge is a fantastic place and having this restaurant on site was a real treat. No need to go out of your way for a very good meal. Our first dinner consisted of the Mushroom Cappuccino Soup and Ricotta Gnocchi as starters, the Hanger Steak with Mashed Potatoes (classic) as entrees, and the homemade Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and Chocolate Lava Cake with Maple and Sea Salt Ice Cream for desserts. Every single item was perfect. This was one of those dinners that you want to last forever. Every morsel was delicious and our taste buds cried out for more! Our breakfast was fine. There was a buffet available but we opted for the a la cart options and were pleased. Nothing artistic or mind blowing here. Just Eggs Benedict and Pancakes to warm you up on a crisp and cozy fall morning. Our second dinner was hit and miss. We split the Ricotta Gnocchi again and were slightly disappointed as it had lost some of the flavor that we remembered from the dinner we had earlier in our stay. It was good, just not as "oh my god" good as we had. I ordered the Pork Tenderloin over Butternut Squash Puree with (I forget the type of) Mushrooms. It was incredible. An absolutely perfect fall entree, and perfectly cooked! My wife had the (I think) Cauliflower Risotto with Lobster. That entree completely missed the mark. The cauliflower did no absorb any of the sauce and as such seemed flavorless and al dente. The lobster was also bland, strangely. She had to send it back. As a replacement she got the same entree as I did and we were back on track! Absolutely delicious. I'd say that you cannot do much better than Solstice for a much better than average meal in a beautiful location. If we had only had the one meal I would have no problem going all five-star on this place, but the slight inconsistency gives me pause. I'd definitely love to go back, and definitely will soon!

We stayed at the Stowe Mountain Lodge and came here for dinner during our stay. At first glance, the restaurant is gorgeous--great views, lots of fireplaces, open design but let's face it, it's the food that really counts and this place was meh. At the table: tomato salad, gazpacho, cheese plate, lobster risotto, sirloin, and trout. The tomato salad was really terrible and sweet--there was bacon in this salad and it tasted like candy and just thinking about it again is making me feel pukey. Gazpacho was gazpacho, cold, ha. The cheese plate was fine but the accoutrements were lacking [like 2 pieces of bread for 6 servings of cheese--yes I could have asked for more but we'll get to that]. Lobster risotto tasted like oatmeal and was way too soupy. The trout portions were for babies--literally, maybe 3 or 4 ounces [not like I'm looking for gargantuan sizes but really?!]. The sirloin was ordered medium and came out well, well done. We sent it back and never saw it again--haha--kidding, it came out after the entire table had finished their meals and drinks. The waitress was ultra apologetic regarding the kitchens incredibly slow service and she took it off the bill but the service, at this hotel in general, is lethargic. That's why I didn't even bother asking for more bread for my cheese plate. I wouldn't eat here again.

To me, this was our best meal in Stowe, hands down. Gourmet, fresh, and local - the perfect trifecta for me and my wife. We started with a delicious scallop crudo, which the server matched perfectly to a glass of Sauvignon blanc. The roasted beet and local chevre salad was amazing, and also paired just right with another white wine. For entrees, my wife had the lamb loin - succulent, tender slices of lean lamb, dressed with a berry-type glaze. It absolutely melted in our mouths, and might be the best lamb we have ever had. The duck breast, sliced, was dead on perfect. The kitchen and the waiter both nailed it - again, both red wines matched perfectly. Desert was 5 cheeses and condiments, including a local honeycomb. Eating that with the bleu cheese was heaven. The service was professional and well paced, and the food and wine spot on delicious. This place lived up to the hype.

Did not expect to find a restaurant and food of this caliber in this location. Service and food were outstanding. The cheeses on the cheese plate were something else. Service was on the spot attentive and gracious. I would return in a heartbeat. I don't give 5 stars to many things. This place gets one.

Solstice is a part of the mega-billions AIG invested into the new Stowe resort and the money shows. The hotel itself is quite impressive, looking from the outside much like I would imagine a Swiss ski resort to look (I've never been). Inside is modern, but classic and comfortable and the scenery around the place is fantastic. OK, now for the actual restaurant... The atmosphere is great: fireplaces, good amount of lighting, rustic decoration: all the things I've expect when gourmet meets Vermont. Our waitstaff was attentive and I dug that they all wore nametags listing their home-states (or countries), almost like what you'd see on a cruise. The food selection was excellent. Much like you'd see at a gourmet restaurant in Boston (my area), you could choose from a 4 course tasting menu, 7 course tasting menu (both with wine pairings) or you could go a la carte from a standard menu. All of the dishes were prepared well and the wine recommendations were spot on. What didn't go according to plan? Three things: 1. They seated us next to the fireplace. I think they did this because we told them it was my mom's bday and they wanted to make it special. That fireplace is HOT. That said, we told them we were uncomfortable and they moved us immediately, no questions asked. 2. I ordered the 7 course tasting menu, but received the 4. I tend to mumble, so it could have been my fault. Either way, the 4 course was MORE than enough and I was somewhat relieved by the limitation. 3. Filet Mignon was one of the courses (which is great), but I never got a chance to request a specific temperature. I'm a bit wacky and like my steak on the raw side, so when it came up medium, I was a bit disappointed. That said, I would definitely come back here. The place is new, needs to work out the kinks, but it has HUGE potential. Even if I wasn't dining at Solstice, I'd like to just hang out near its numerous fireplaces for a drink.

Part of the group I was at the hotel with had dinner here one night and it was outstanding. Our server was top notch; remembered, names orders...even people who had been the previously. Linda was outstanding. She really made the experience. Everything here was excellent: service, meal, atmosphere; it all delivered. We were here for quite some time and the time just flew by. I rally enjoyed the entire experience. If you're in the hotel, definitely stop by. If you're in the Stowe area, it's definitely worth dropping in.

This is one OVER-priced place in Stowe. We should have gone with breakfast buffet but we choose to order ala carte. the omelette was not tasty and the pancake did not look like a typical pancake. I guess that is what we get when we overpay - a fancy looking pancake with no taste whatsoever. Not going AGAIN. Also wanted to have dinner the night before and the host at the entrance turned us away saying they simply do not have ANY vegetarian (no meat, no seafood) choices on menu. Two nights we stayed - we ended up at Harrison's and Sushi Yoshi in town and that was the best decision we took. Awesome food and lot of options for people who do not eat meat or seafood.

The food was very good as expected. Great scallops and a wonderful chocolate pudding for desert. The service was pretty choppy and slow. It took 18 minutes to get a drink when we first arrived. The wine list is annoyingly long but the beer selection was perfect. Not a great atmosphere. Very nice place but loud and busy. Overall it was fine. Expensive but that was expected. $174 for two people. A great meal needs great service and that was truly lacking. On to Michaels on the hill.

Even though the scenery was pretty and the restaurant itself was nice its WAY overpriced for just decent breakfast. $40 for 2 people when we ordered an omelette and French toast. The French toast was not the best we've had but it came with 4 slices. I'd suggest going somewhere else if you want to spend half the money. Plus, it didn't even have waffles? What huge hotel restaurant doesn't have waffles on the menu? Must be a Vermont thing.
