We visited here a few times last week for dinner. We tried out their online ordering system and found it to be surprisingly convenient. The first time we tried it, our order was ready and sitting on the shelf by the time we drove there. As a test, we tried it a second time while sitting on the patio and timed the process to be about 7 minutes. The food itself was typical of Panera Bread, which I have high expectations for.

This review is after much frustration and disappointment with the store located in Hampton. The food is good, but the service and attention to detail are consistently sub par at this location. Repeatedly, online orders or "to go" orders are missing elements or altogether incorrect. Employees seem aloof and could care less that you have to correct them (and spend more time in the store) about your order. Generally, for me it has been items missing from my online orders or signature items missing key elements (i.e. the chicken avocado salad that was ordered correctly but still missing the avocado). Tonight it was two separate orders that were missing the side item (chips), even though it was ordered on the receipt. The employee, who strangely enough has been there on the line when my previous orders were wrong, just stated, "Whoa, glad you caught that Ma'am" and offered no apology. Gee, I'm glad I caught it too, since I'm spending my hard earned money here and you don't take enough pride/care in your job to do it correctly. The only reason I checked the online orders before I left, is because this is my standard practice now at this store, to ensure I'm getting the correct order. My advice is to dine in or avoid this store after 6pm. Clearly the competent manager and employees only work day shift. Unfortunately, this is the closest Panera, so it would probably be easier just to avoid going there from now on. Quick update: went to eat after writing this review. Two chicken avocado salads (bagged separately) but both receipts were signed off by the same employee. One salad missing avocado. See what I mean. Maybe they're doing this on purpose just to me...lol.

I found this Panera really confusing. If you have never been in a Panera your lost. No one really helps. I ordered something they said it had to come with an egg or chicken. So I got the vegetable soup and it had to come with pesto in it. I'm allergic to nuts and when I asked if it came with nuts she was annoyed Then I asked her for something to drink and she gave me a cup and said just take it. So I wandered around until I found the pick up area and drink area. Finally a gentleman helped me find the water button. You know what if your a Panera fan maybe it's alright. But for me you can have them. Not worth it. By the way. Their food does not look like the pictures on this site. You have to order your food pick it up, get your drinks. Then find a seat and finally you get to eat You can have it!

food was terrible. side baguette not fresh, almost stale. smokehouse turkey was horrible, overwhelmed by the type of mustard they put on. Finally the Med Chicken quinca salad bottom half where the lettuce is was drenched in a type of Caesar sauce. No bueno. Two stars only for the cleanliness and friendly staff.

Heck yeah. FTR...first to review. I come to this Panera location just about every Tuesday after my business networking event. Lots of deals done here!!! It's your typical Panera...you all know the drill here. What I like most about this place is that everyone here are busy bees working away to get things done. This joint doesn't get too crowded even during lunch time so it's very fitting for me to get a lot accomplished in such a short period of time without all the noise I get at other locations.

One thing about Panera Bread is that their food is consistent like most major chain restaurants. When I roll into Panera, I'm usually there for either breakfast or lunch. When I eat breakfast, 98% of the time I get a spinach and bacon soufflé. The other 2% of the time I get a sandwich because they ran out of the spinach and bacon soufflé. That is my one knock on Panera. I've arrived at several different Panera restaurants well before the end of breakfast to find that they have run out of my favorite soufflé. It amazes me how a restaurant that advertises food items can run out. I actually had a manager tell me to call in advance to see if there are any soufflés available. That being said, I love Panera's spinach and bacon soufflé because it is one of the most unique and tasty breakfast options available in fast food. I usually get the "you pick two" combo deal when I go for lunch. I get the Italian combo with one of the soups available for that day. My favorite soups are chicken and wild rice and tomato. I have noticed the price of the combo has inched up over the past few years. I guess that can be expected considering the fact that nothing remains the same for long in fast food. Besides my usual suspects, the pastries and bagels are always a good tagalong for my meals. Again. The food is consistently good and fresh. You can't go wrong at Panera. I'm only giving 4 stars because I miss out on my soufflés in the morning from time to time. I don't think that should ever happen.

The manager was awful! I brought my receipt back to get my correct order and he attempted to make me look stupid in front of his staff instead of just correcting my order.

Worst experience I've ever had at a panera. The manager seemed annoyed that the customers were ordering bread, which they were out of at 5:00 on a Saturday. They had no coffee. No hot water. The manager was rude to the customers and equally rude to the employees. Service sucked and the place was dirty. My advice? This is a chain, drive to the next one or choose one of the many other places nearby.

Employee sucked at explaining the "pick 2" deal so we ended up paying more than we expected. Never going here again.

I started coming to this place because the Starbucks across the street was always packed when I got out of class. When I first walked in I immediately said this was my new coffee spot. The colors of the restaurant are the first things that you notice. It has a soft yet vibrant color scheme that makes you feel relaxed yet not sleepy. The service has been consistently fast but not rushed and the food is made to order. The wifi is great as well and with the comfortable seating you can spend hours doing homework or just surfing the web. Just remember during lunch time they have a 30min time limit on the wifi. I usually get the smokehouse turkey panini but I've tried other things and haven't had anything gross...except the eggs but I hate eggs so in that I'm biased. Enjoy

These new fast lane kiosks? Best thing since sliced bread. (No pun intended.) There's a Panera person that greets you at the door and then will offer a personal mini-tutorial on how to use the kiosks. Very cool. Cause I didn't have time to fiddle with it. And because of her, I was in and out in six minutes with a great lunch.

I was at the register ordering breakfast. Once I made the payment and started walking away the poor cashier had to tell me that the kitchen said breakfast was over. "The eggs have already been taken back!" It was 10:31, one minute after breakfast was over. I'm pretty sure I ordered by 10:30. The manager did nothing about it. I had to reorder from the lunch menu. A little extreme if you ask me. I'll definitely go somewhere else next time.

I LOVE THIS Panera for many reasons. I think ill try and add more as i go along. But, i just love the atmosphere at this Panera in particular. - Everyone is SO nice here. I never encountered a single mean employee. - They're open pretty late on sundays - when most coffee shops close. - Food is consistently good. - Location is great- close to the peninsula mall. - Plenty of outlets! - The 2 chairs in the back are always clean. - They have a pretty big outdoor seating area - always kept tidy and they have speakers that allow you to listen to inside music outside! Okay, so i know these are a bunch of random facts. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that Panera food is PRICEY. I mean sandwich, cookie and drink comes to about 12$- it's almost the price of food at applebees/chilis. Definitely recommend this place, its a good study , lunch date environment :)

Always great new things to try at Panera Bread. Love the summer menu and the sweets that tame my sweet tooth. Now if they could keep the internet fixed it would be even better.

I ordered a cinnamon crunch bagel and was told they were sold out but there would be more in 40 minutes. I waited 40 minutes and was told it would be an hour. To paraphrase Kojak, "Who needs ya baby? "
