Pizza Pie Cafe Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Pizza is not bad it's a good place to go if your starving and short on time. the pizza I've had here has been fresh and the pasta isn't bad. What it has going for it is is's very cheap and it's all you can eat. While I wouldn't take a date here I would defiantly come here with friends. It's very clean and the cookie monster a kettle baked cookie with Ice cream is really good. If you are looking for the best pizza it's actually in the same parking lot but this place is great if you are with a group or wanting to feed a family.

Best pizza in town. If nothing else, get the carbonara pasta and the desert pizza. Man, my mouth's watering just thinking about it. The prices are great. You will find a better selection of pizza at dinner time.

I went to this place on opening night. As expected there was a ton of college students there. The place looked nice on the outside, but that's where the good stuff ends. The line for the pizza was massive and the pizza itself was some of the worst I've ever had. The only thing I can compare it to is some iffy frozen pizza from a grocery store. Even with a discount they gave out for people on the "text" list, I left very disappointed. Management inside seemed to just be celebrating the fact that there was a lot of people there and not really about the service and quality of the food. My recommendation? Get a pizza from Papa johns and spend a few more dollars on quality food.

If you are having trouble with your bowel movements I highly recommend this place. The laxatives they put in their pizzas worked wonders for me. After eating there I was in and out of the bathroom for 6 straight hours. I guess in a way it made up for the times I couldn't go. The food is disgusting but trust me it's worth it to be able to go poop.

Ahhh... Pizza Pie Cafe... how you have fallen from grace. I used to frequent this place A LOT as a cool hip high schooler and I recall the pizza being WAY better. Now, it's honestly as hard and tough as cardboard. I want to love this place. I have so many good memories of playing cards at the table and discussing the HOTTEST guys at school while eating warm, delicious pizza. Now, they're stuck in the 4 "unusual" pizza combinations, and managing to make them all impossible to eat. The service is mediocre, with 2-3 waitresses/busboys/servers? to a full house of customers. I feel like you're always waiting around for more pizza or salad to be put out. I can't deal with this place because there are so many other pizza options in Utah County, even in PROVO, that are much better quality. We had some good times PPC, some real good times. But I think it's time we part.

Fantastic Salad bar, decent pizza in a wide variety. Service is always quick and polite, I highly recommend trying this place out.

Your kids will probably love this place. Good variety for picky eaters: pizza buffet (I really like the spicy/sweet Buffalo chicken), pasta bar (tip: mix the roasted red pepper and carbonara sauce), salad bar, and dessert pizza. Their cookie monster is also delicious (ask for one on your birthday). Usually crowded, you may have to stand around waiting for a table to open up--especially if you come with a group.

  • Abe N.

If you're a quantity over quality type of person, then you'll like this place. I prefer quality. I get sick every time I eat here, but it's my own fault for stuffing myself full of low quality food. Beware the roasted red pepper sauce before bedtime.

I came here for a work perty and wasn't really expecting much, all you can eat pizza is never something I'll turn down but I'd heard mixed reviews of this place. Overall, it was fine, not amazing but certainly not terrible either. The pizza is okay, a little overdone but the variety is definitely impressive. The salad bar is pretty standard, and none of the dessert pizza was terribly exciting to me but I was definitely in the minority there, everyone else seemed VERY positive about those. My favorite part was the pasta bar, it's a little out of the way, sort of around the corner from the pizza area, so I don't think I'd even have noticed it if my group didn't have to walk directly past it to get to our table. They have a wide variety of different pastas and sauces and they flash cook it right there in front of you so it's always hot when you get it. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you have a big group, there's something for everyone but don't expect gourmet.

Even though some may call it a POS, the locals call this place PPC. I don't mind the occasional visit to this all you can eat pizza/pasta/salad buffet. This is a kid friendly joint and one of my son's favorite places. Kids will always love pizza, Mac and Cheese, and chicken nuggets. Anyways, the salad bar was kept clean considering the quantity of people there. The high school/college aged employees do a decent job of keeping the dining area clean too. The food quality is average but because there are so many "hungry" patrons, the pizzas are fresh and rarely last long. Because it is a kid friendly joint, it can be both noisy and annoying sometimes but 3 stars seems fine.

Pizza when you want to fill up on the stuff and you are looking for it at cheap cost. Not much more that dough with some light sauce and scarce toppings. Not very good. But as I say, cheap and buffet style dining.

  • John L.

All you can eat pizza. Enough said, right? So seriously now. The restaurant is well priced. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest so I like to go on any other day of the week cause its alot quieter and not as crowded. Pizza options are good. I felt their were a good number of variety to choose from. I do recommend getting some dessert pizza aswell. If you have never tried their chocolate pizza than you have been deprived. I recommend it. If pizza is not your thing (why go, right? JK) they do have pasta & salad bar available which is bad. So all thats left is for you guys to give it a shot yourselves. I do recommend it.

I think they need a less cardboard-ish crust and more sauce. I only go here because my kids get free coupons from their school, but every time I regret it. Maybe I'm just a pizza snob. No, I definitely am a pizza snob. To me, the best pizza the world is thin crust, wood grilled, fresh mozzarella, Margherita pizza. At pizza pie Café you find a lot of pizza that's slightly better than frozen pizza.

Delicious. Food was great for the price. Love this place.

We had a fair experience at this Pizza Pie Cafe location on Wednesday night. I maintain that $8.25 per person is a little high for the quality of food you receive, but I also realize it's pretty standard for this type of set-up. The service, aside from our initial exchange with the cashier was non-existent. Plates were removed from the table only once during the entire visit and drinks (which are not included in the price of the meal) are filled and refilled by the customer at a nearby fountain. The pizza was more than half gone for much of our visit. It was pretty busy, so when fresh pies were set out, there was a rush to get it before it was gone. My favorites were the buffalo chicken and the pepperoni and jalapeno (I think it was called "The Firefighter"). Dessert pizza was just so-so. I tried the cookie dough and the Oreo. We came to Pizza Pie Cafe with an elderly couple who chose the restaurant. If I'd had my druthers, we would have gone across the parking lot to Nicolitalia, where they know how to make a really good pizza. Quality trumps quantity every time.

  • John G.

They have really come together over here at the buffet, the food is great and the service has come along way! Very fun way to sit the whole family down for some pizza and a few laughs.

    (4)
  • Whitni P.

It's a neat idea. However, the pizza is low quality-which is expected. I wish the dessert pizzas would have sugar cookie crust. I think they would be a THOUSAND times better. The pasta is my favorite. Get the ratiatori with the carbanara and roasted red pepper sauce. Delicious.

    (3)
  • Gregory R.

I know this was a buffet so you don't expect top quality but this was a little worse than that. The salad bar was ok so that keeps it out of the 1 ranking.

    (2)
  • Matthew C.

Decent pizza and nice atmosphere. The crust is a little dense without much texture. Stick to pizzas with lots of flavor and you'll be fine. The price is great and the dessert pizza is even better. Cinnamon sticks were more like cinnamon jerky but the Cookie dough was fantastic. Great for groups and they have options for everyone. They kept fresh pizzas coming right up to a few minutes before closing. I'm impressed.

    (3)
  • Heather W.

It's an all you can eat pizza and salad bar. I didn't realize that walking in or we wouldn't have gone there. Food was what you'd expect at that kind of place. Gross, overcooked pasta, bland sauces. Alfredo tasted like it had cinnamon in it.

  • Lyle G.

Let me tell you something, if you're eating at Pizza Pie Cafe you better pick up a 4 pack of toilet paper and find an alley way ASAP. P.S. - If you find yourself sweating bullets with your hands on your knees in wide spread power stance, shoveling sub par dessert pizza so far down your throat that you can't even begin to argue with your wife about how poor she thinks your decision was to attend the Pizza Pie Cafe, It's time to throw in the towel.

  • David S.

Salad bar is great! Pizza is... Buffet quality. Very bready. Good environment in the restaurant though. Very family friendly.

    (3)
  • Hazel S.

The pizza is average in flavor, dominoes is better. The only thing that makes this place stand out is the fact that they serve dessert pizzas that are pretty good for one or two bites and then you realize there isn't much to it except some dough a crumble topping and a sweet drizzle on top. The thing that draws the most attention is probably the fact that it is an all you can eat type of pizza and pasta restaurant. The pasta is well cooked, their red sauce tastes good, but it seems like the same one they use on pizza. it has good flavor, but it is not terribly unique. it is self serve with waiters who come clear old plates if they notice them, they are pretty efficient. Come here when you have a coupon and it's a great deal, or before the dinner hour.

  • Katy B.

Pizza is average. Not that great, but not super greasy and it's fresh and hot, so I can't complain. You go there for the quantity and variety, not the quality, I guess. I'm always a fan of dessert pizza, which is one of the top factors that keeps me coming back. The salad bar is great, though pretty basic. The ambience is fun and casual, as long as you don't mind noisy. It's usually packed. The service is good and they try to keep it up as fast as they can, and it's always very clean. Cons: I think it's a little overpriced for what you get. $8-something a person not including a drink is steep. I could get a steak for the same price. This isn't really the restaurant's fault, but I think I've been here at least 5 times and every single time, there is some unattended child that runs into my legs or wanders around in the high-traffic areas. I almost trip over a kid most visits, which really sucks when you're carrying a full plate of hot food. I can't really figure out why it's such a big family place because it's expensive and the kids can't even reach the pizza on their own....anyway. Maybe that won't bug you.

  • Chuck B.

Pizza pie cafe is a great place to eat. We eat here quite a lot and it is the best pizza buffet I've ever been to. They aren't like other buffets where you are constantly waiting for a warm pizza to come out, or any pizza at all for that matter. We eat here as often as we can and recommend it to our friends and family.

    (5)
  • Kristen S.

I do like their pizza and they always have good deals. But the one thing I will never understand is why they don't use better crust for their dessert?!? I think they use regular pizza crust and it's disgusting!! They had a red white and blue dessert pizza for the 4th of July with a sugar cookie crust and it was the best thing I have ever had! Also the icing on the desserts are not that sweet, if they had dominoes pizza icing and a better crust for their dessert pizza, PPC would be the best!!!!

My family had a good experience here, and we were especially impressed by the manager Jake (Tomlinson?) He went out of his way to be sure to give us a good experience. We arrived late just minutes before they closed, and he made sure to put in whatever pizza we thought we would need to be sure there would be plenty for us. They have some crazy pizzas here: spuddalicious with potato chips? they have something with jalapenos, pepperoni, and chipotle that is pretty great too. i'd go back. the price was cheap for what we got.

If Chuck E. Cheese had a teenage older brother, it'd be Pizza Pie Cafe. This place is pretty good and was jam packed full of families on the Friday night I dined here. The restaurant has kind of a congested layout....too much stuff and not enough space. You walk in and you either order your pizza take out style or you buy their buffet, which comes with pizza, salad, and pasta. You also order your drink which comes in a paper cup with a plastic lid and straw....good for getting unlimited refills to take back to the hotel. (Shhhh) Pizza: Lots of choices! Some interesting, some just weird. I tried the Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple, and one with Chicken, Bacon, and Ranch. All were pretty good, just a little above mall food court standards. The cheese twist things were also tasty...but this isn't gourmet pizza at all. They also have dessert pizzas. I tried the Peach cobbler pizza, which was better than the regular pizza! like a cinnamon roll with peaches...mmmmm Salad: Really dinky. Choice of generic Iceberg Mix with shredded carrots and red cabbage or plain spinach. They had cheddar cheese, beets, cherry tomatoes, baby corn, and bacon. Ehh. Pasta: The noodles were a little overcooked for me, but the set up was cool. There is someone who warms up your pasta in hot water and then puts it in a bowl for you to add your sauces. There was several different sauces to choose from, and I had Marinara, Carbonara, and Alfredo. Marinara was standard but good, Carbonara was very bacony, and the Alfredo was yummy and had a lot of nutmeg flavor (which I love) but both Carbonara and Alfredo were on the watery side. It would have been nice if they had add ins for your pasta, like some kinds of meats and vegetables...but they had both shredded and grated parm which was kinda cool. This place is really geared for families with young children...they even have a balloon animal making guy come around the tables...everyone was grandma's BFF when he rolled around!

It's alright pizza there is a large variety of pizzas and dessert pizzas. Not my favorite pizza place in Provo but it's decent.

    (3)
  • Jennifer B.

This pizza is junk. Total cardboard crust, ingredients that don't look fresh at all, way too greasy... if it weren't for the dessert pizzas, this place wouldn't be in business. Unfortunately I'm a fan of the oreo pizza. I don't want to know how many calories I consume at PPC.

    (2)
  • Carlie B.

People are on crack... Someone gave a good review and only gave it 3 stars... Tell me you're kidding. Some say it's overpriced... I say go to Cafe rio where it isn't unlimited everything and then tell me a buffet is over priced. Sometimes the pizza is a bit older when it's not busy. Luckily, the managers and workers will gladly put in a fresh pizza! Their pasta sauces are delicious. They have tons of stuff at the salad bar. And a billion types of pizzas. Don't see what you want there? Once again I hear people ask all the time for whatever pizza you want. They are pretty accommodating. So yes, I'm willing to pay 7 to 8 bucks to stuff my face. I know I'll regret it after but the during part is amazing.

    (5)
  • Emily S.

The main reason to go to is for the all you can eat pizza. It's not amazing, just okay. I like the dessert pizzas, but the crust would be better if they made it a little softer and sweeter. The salad bar isn't fabulous either, but who goes here just for a salad? If you have a good deal and it's karaoke night, it's not that bad.

    (3)
  • Mike A.

One word describes this place: vile. It's overpriced, over crowded, and low quality. The pizza sauce tastes like molasses it's so sweet and the pizza is usually over cooked. The pasta isn't much better. I had some Alfredo sauce that had so much pepper in it tasted like a pepper mill had been emptied into it. It looked more like saw mill gravy than Alfredo sauce. The one small plus is the dessert pizza which is pretty good. Otherwise really disgusting food. Run don't walk from this place!!

    (1)
  • Ray M.

With any pizza buffet you can expect a quantity over quality type establishment. Depending on when you go, the pizza is not to bad, most days it's pretty fresh and will fill you up as a buffet should. The pasta in my opinion is not very good, the salad bar is average and the desert pizza is pretty tasty. This is a great place to go when you have a large group or family because the price is right, but it is diffidently not a go to pizza place when you want a quality pie.

    (3)
  • Maitiú J.

Look, don't go here expecting out of this world pizza. It's a buffet, and the pizza is average. The problem is they are trying to offer too many different kinds of pizza at the same time and it's always a wait for even the most basic slice of pepperoni. It's annoying to go and have to wait to get one slice because they are too busy. The last time the place seemed very understaffed. It's Provo, near BYU, so be prepared for obnoxious kids and college students as well.

    (2)
  • Jessie M.

I like it a lot. I'm not gonna say it's the best pizza or pasta I've had...BUT it is pretty good specially for the price! They have a salad, pasta, and pizza(including dessert pizza) bars. Can't go wrong with that specially if you have kids!!! Everybody leaves with a full stomach and a full wallet :) I recommend trying it!

    (4)
  • David B.

Cheap! Definitely favors quantity over quality. Everything was so so or worse- pizza, salad bar, desserts. Nice atmosphere. Lots of college students.

    (2)
  • Francis Q.

I don't mine going here as long as someone else is paying. :) The reason is that the pizza crust is pretty dense and that's how they get you full quickly so I don't feel like I get my money's worth. I don't know if this was done intentionally but I know that's what happens to me. They offer a nice variety of toppings and I've been back several times.

    (3)
  • Ryan P.

Not a bad pizza joint overall. Its cheap and all-you-can-eat. The pizza is not great, but its decent. There are a variety of types, much better than any other all-you-can-eat joint that I know of. Their salad bar kinda sucks but you can make it work. The dessert pizzas were actually pretty good for dessert pizzas and the pasta bar was unique. Brick Oven's is better, but you pay double for it. This is a really good place to take the kids, so let them knock themselves out.

    (3)
  • Elle P.

So so pizza. Boring salad bar. Clean bathroom. The kids liked the idea of dessert pizza. Did not even try the pasta bar....

  • Jeff Z.

I was in town with my family (wife and five kids) and we wanted a pizza place for lunch. I saw the good Yelp reviews so we decided to give them a try. The food was delicious and since it's a lunch buffet, everyone got enough to eat. The Pizza Pie Cafe had lots of different kinds of pizza, a salad bar, pasta and desserts. Our family of seven ate for about $50. You definitely need to try the BBQ chicken pizza! And to top it off, the staff was very friendly.

    (4)
  • Mike B.

This place brought back the nostalgia of childhood trips to Godfather's pizza for both my wife and me. If I were 9, this would probably be my favorite restaurant in town. As a college student, well... it's reasonably priced for an all-you-can-eat and the pizza was enjoyable enough. I'd recommend avoiding the flavorless alfredo pasta in favor of the spicy sausage.

    (3)
  • Brooke S.

My boyfriend and I like to come here for date nights. Come after 9 or certain hours during the day for their "happy hour" special and the buffet is only 5 bucks! Make sure you mention the "happy hour" special to get the deal. And for that price you can't beat all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad. Definitely worth it for the price.

  • Wendi M.

I don't understand how anyone can rave about this restaurant. There really is better frozen pizza, and I was appalled by the salad bar - a huge bowl of inedibly brown iceberg lettuce, and the most meager selection of cheap ingredients (1/4" flavorless croutons, canned diced beets, etc), just waiting to be topped off with a whopping 4 different kinds of bottled salad dressing. When I see a giant vat of Hidden Valley ranch next to a small container of Kraft Italian, I should know its going to be bad. Every pizza except pepperoni or cheese seems to have ranch dressing on it. Every pasta sauce is a think, gluey mess. And $8 for this meal is NOT cheap or worth the price. There are innumerable restaurants with better food, including Burger King and Arby's in the same parking lot. Horrible. The owners clearly have no quality standards, and just bank on kids dragging their parents there. Or I guess college kids at the Provo/Orem location.

This is a great place for the family. One of the best pizza buffet establishments I've been to with a great variety of pizza, pasta, and salad. Please don't go here if you are search for the best pizza in town, but if you want a lot of good pizza with a good variety for everyone in your party this is the place for you. I love that you can try just about an pizza you can think of bbq, ranch, bacon, potatoe. You can even request a custom pizza. Good prices, good food, good experience.

It seems like with most buffets, you have to realize that you're sacrificing some quality for quantity. The Pizza Pie Cafe is no exception. The pizza isn't as tasty as the cafe's neighbor La Nicolitalia, but for just over $6 you can they have a pretty good selection of pizzas, pastas, and dessert pizzas. If you're looking for a good value and relaxed environment, the Pizza Pie Cafe is a good choice.

I agree with many of the reviews here. The pizza is pretty bad. It's like frozen pizza that's been sitting out for too long. The atmosphere matches the pizza.

This place is good for what it is...another pizza buffet place. They do have a great selection thought. I also like the way that they heat up the pasta right in front of you. They have this red pepper sauce for the pasta that is fantastic. If you want to get completely stuffed on pizza, pasta, and some salad this would be a great choice.

Their pasta is far better than their pizza. Go after 9 on Friday or Saturday and tell them you're there for the $5 buffet!

This is my new favorite place in Provo/Orem. What could be better than all you can eat Pizza / Pasta / Breadsticks and Salad for great price. I went here on a date with my wife and was extremely impressed. I had set my expectations low but was surprised by the quality of the food. I would give the pasta 5 stars, the pizza 4 stars, the desert pizza 5 stars, and the bread sticks 3 stars.

I was very skeptical about this place. First off they were putting their restaurant right next to Nicco Italia and Pizza Factory. How dare they! Another reason is that every business that has been in the building they moved into has failed due to accessibility. Its frustrating trying to get in and out of the parking lot due to the road layout. With that said I went in last night expecting the worse. I didn't know it was a buffet at first and when I walked through the doors and saw the heat lamps and soda machine, I almost turned around. I bit my lip and gave it a shot anyways. My first plate was a few cheese sticks and a few slices of pizza. I was pleasantly surprised that it was VERY good. It doesn't look like great pizza, but the flavor was top notch. As I was finishing up my plate I glanced up and caught my wife eating her crust. She NEVER eats the crust on her pizza but said that this was the best crust she has ever had and it would be a shame to throw it away. I tried not to like it, but there is no denying that its one of the best places in the valley to stop and enjoy a good variety of pizza.

Best joint in town, hands down. The pizza is great, the ambience is classy enough for a date, understated enough for groups, build your own pasta bar, and attractive employees for both pursuasions.

Pizza pie cafe has pretty good pizza for a buffet. Their buffet has a lot of variety. Salad, pizza, pasta and dessert pizzas. The pizza is decent. The crust is chewy and has a nice flavor. The toppings range from plain cheese to a buffalo wing pizza. The store seems fairly new and the decor is nice. If I'm looking for buffet style pizza I'd definitely come here again.

I love this place. You'll find a great selection of pizza, pasta, a nice salad bar, and dessert pizzas. Personally, I recommend trying everything, but the bbq pizza and cookie dough pizza stand out among all the choices. It is a great deal when you are hungry!

Pizza Pie Cafe is a business model that should be seen all over Utah, but alas, we've been deserted. Where CiCi's Pizza fails to incorporate their franchises, Pizza Pie Cafe is ready to pick up the demand. With excellent prices ($6.49 adults/$3.99 kids), it's what you would expect from a pizza buffet near a college. But that doesn't mean it's gross. Located just across from Doc's Pizza Buffet, you can make a choice. Turn one direction to get food poisoning like I did, or go to Pizza Pie Cafe. The help staff is friendly. I enjoy their pasta bar where they steam the pasta right in front of you with a choice of 7 different sauces. The pizza is pretty good for the price, and don't leave until you've had their S'more dessert pizza.
