My roommate and I had completely different experiences upon the same visit. I ordered the Embarcadero (chicken and pesto), which was awesome. I did regret my decision to eat this pizza later when it came back to haunt me...horrible stomach ache, etc - get where I'm going with that? But at the time, it was mighty tasty. My roommate is allergice to gluton and ordered a gluton-free pizza, which she was really excited to try. Unfortunately, Pier 49 let her down big time. The pizza itself was more expensive than mine but smaller, it took forever to come out to her because they had to sterilize the preparation area, and she was less than thrilled with the amount of toppings they put on the pizza. Sad. I guess for those of you who do the whole gluton-free thing, this isn't the place to get good pizza. But for everyone else, it's a good place, minus the rush to the bathroom afterward. This location is never super busy, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you're not going to wait. But as far as pizza in Provo goes, this place is pretty good.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Great pizza but they make a mistake and they blame the customer. I asked for a delivery at 1:45pm at around 11:20 today and they call me 27 minutes later and say I need to pick it up or they need to charge me $3-4 more on my $60 order because they entered the order wrong. I canceled but they still charge my card and now their phone number has been busy for over 45 minutes. Then I finally get through and I'm on hold for soooo long I just hung up. I end up talking to the owner and he tells me I was dealing with his wife the "co-owner" who did not want to short the delivery driver on his GAS money. Well I have a great idea since you screwed up the two "co-owners" EAT the $3-4 for gas to drive 1 mile to my house. BTW I authorized a $3 tip when I ordered. Josh

I have always enjoyed my experiences at Pier 49. The BBQ chicken is amazing, especially when you ask them to add pineapple. You don't realize how much you miss apple beer until you leave Utah, but it's a tasty beverage the whole family can enjoy. The sourdough gives this pizza a slightly different vibe and I appreciate that. Good job, Pier 49.

The gluten free pizza was expensive, which I'm used to, since I have Celiac disease, but it was also smaller than most GF pizzas I order here in CA. That being said, I got a 49er, and it was really hot and tasty. On a side note, I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, and some of the names of the pizza were off. Little Italy should be North Beach for instance.

Delicious pizza, will go again! Thicker crust with high quality ingredients, and made to order so it's always fresh and hot!

We decided to try it out from all the good reviews but found that it was just average pizza. I thought it didn't have much flavor and the crust isn't all that great. Way better pizza places in Provo/ Orem area like Slab or CPK. Also thought it was weird they close at 9 on the weekends.

With all the craze about the thin crust pizzas here in Utah County I am comforted by the steadfastness of Pier 49. There crust is full sized and the sourdough really makes for a great clean taste. All there pizzas are good but the BBQ chicken is by far the best BBQ chicken you will ever have. Don't go in expecting to grab a quick slice of pizza unless it is during lunch/dinner time. If your in town and are craving San Francisco sourdough that surpasses what you can get in San Francisco Pier 49 is the place to go.

Oh the pain. Oh how I miss this place. Whenever my husband and I are in town this is one of the requirements. I was just thinking about it the other day and thought, Dang, wouldn't it be great if I could order from here!! Alas I have to wait till July before I can eat there again. Last time we got of the plane and went straight to the restaurant, we did not stop anywhere else. The pizza here is fantastic. They have salads but never mind them you want the pizza!! They have designer pizzas! It has sourdough bread... um.. I always get the Tourist Special or the Embarcadero. My husband likes the Nob Hill one. Oh I totally miss this place and it gives Giordano's a total run for its money. I know that is so treasonous to say here in Chicago. pier49.com
