It can go from your typical city dive bar to downright dangerous in an instant. I do not encourage anyone to take a loved one there. Probably the cheapest bar in town. THIS IS A BAR, NOT A RESTAURANT!!!!!

If you want to drink in Provo, you're really starving for good choices. There are 3 bars and all of them are on Center Street. First, you have ABG's which is a loveable shithole, The Madison which is a dance club with a random western theme, and then there's City Limits. City Limits is so weird. A year or two ago I would've been writing a VERY different review, it was a divey redneck bar that was not only creepy and gross, it could be downright scary! On the 2 occasions I stopped in, there were not insignificant fights, more than a few old dudes that couldn't take a hint and as a young woman, I didn't feel safe there. I really didn't ever intend to go back, BUT sometime in the last year or so, City Limits has cleaned up and branched out. They're really changing their brand (at least on Friday nights) and I for one really appreciate it. Friday night at ABG's is local band night, which is the worst and EVERY night at The Madison is date rape night so having another option is really nice. As of now it is the offical bar of the Provo Pride Festival and every Friday night is gay night, complete with live Drag Show. The LGBT community is definitely not the only clientele, so if you're not part of the community there's no reason to be concerned that you'll be out of place and the whole atmosphere is just so chill and accepting. To be fair, it's still a little run down; the sound system was new when dinosaurs ruled the earth, the ladies bathroom is slightly hilarious, and the drinks are definitely overpriced but for a comfortable atmosphere, and a good time I don't mind paying extra THAT much. Also even on nights with events it never feels crowded, there is actually a lot of space and it's utilized kind of weirdly so there might be a ton of people in the back by the stage and not very many in front by the pool tables. It can be good or bad, depending on how you feel but either way it's kind of weird. As for drinks, my go to is the carafe of Angry Orchard for $8.50 which seems pretty pricey to me, but like I said, it a carafe so it's actually a lot of drink. Also, they have jello shots but I have yet to try them so I can't speak to their quality. All of this applies to Friday night ONLY. The rest of the time it's still a creepy old cowboy bar, prone to bar fights and getting hit on by dudes in their 60s who look like they're in their 1000s, the difference is they have a rainbow flag outside now.

Without a doubt the cheapest place to drink in Provo. But the vibe has changed since the last time I was here. And not in a very good way. The only reason for the extra star is for how cheap the drinks are. This place seems dangerous and I will not come back any time soon.

This bar has seemed to change so much over the years that I have stopped in during my visits to Provo. Deamed a gay bar in Provo with Pride nights, say whatttt! Went for the annual Comedy and Drag Show a few weekends back and had a blast.

I came here for the first time on a Saturday night around 10pm. I was surprised to find that there only 10-15 people there. Most of the crowd was over 40. The bartender said the busiest night with a younger crowd is on Fridays. The place had a very mellow vibe. The bartenders were very nice. They have one bar that seats about 12 or so people, 3 pool tables, 1 jukebox, about 8 booth tables and 2 high top tables. Pitchers range from $10-$12. Bottled beers about $2.50-$4.00 I'm not sure if their taps change, but everything on tab was 3.2% except heineken.
