This breakfast joint is definitely full of southern feel. From the lady that greeted us to the time when the food arrived, we felt the southern hospitality. I have seen the line being extremely long on weekends and we went on a Wednesday and it got long right around 11am. We tried pancakes with banana cooked inside and the kids loved them. The green egg and ham was excellent. The grits was ok. A bit too sticky and I could do without the butter already put on for me. The fried catfish and grits were good. Will come back from some chicken and waffles next time, fried chicken seems to be a popular item to order when I look around.

This time we tried the chicken & waffles, the green eggs & ham, the grits, French toast, & the flaky biscuits. All 4 of us shared the food so we all got to taste everything. The employees are so sweet & courteous. Always checking if we need anything else. I especially loved the young lady who took our order. She's so sere by calling us "my babies"; my kids like it.

This place is awesome I love eating here. I've taken almost all my family members. They have large plates of food. My husband and I always share a meal and then get extra stuff. We had there waffles and chicken plate. Pancakes, potatoes, eggs, bacon, and ham plate. it is so gooood! I brought my mother-n-law for mothers day and they made it so convenient for everyone to eat on time and not wait too long. Don't get intimated by the line outside because they take care of you right away and the food comes out fast and fresh. I love this place! I recommend it at least once because you will be back for more. The staff is so nice and seem to like there job.

Arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday had a 10 min wait. The woman manning the line was super friendly & welcoming. Parking was a pain. Tried the wings & waffles... Wings had the perfect spice blend. The waffle was good, but a little dense for my personal preference. My hubby had eggs, bacon and biscuits. Eggs were made with real butter... Yum. Bacon was perfect: crispy on the edges tender in between. 'Skit was too dense.

I finally decided to write a review about the Breakfast Klub, my first visit was in the summer of 2014. I was in a not so good mood after standing in line for 30 minutes in the hot sun for what I thought was an underwhelming meal. I ordered the chicken and waffles with potatoes, the chicken was good a bit salty for my tasted but crispy and tasty, the rest of the meal was just eh. At the encouragement of some longtime residents and natives I decided to give it another try today. I hate to report that I felt the same way about the food. I think the food is overpriced, overrated, and underwhelming. Every is pre-prepared or made in large batches so the food comes out lukewarm. The pan sausage is not your typical breakfast sausage which I think would be really good if it came out hot. The eggs and potatoes were warm. The waffle was warm and not as crispy as a fresh waffle would be. The water dispenser had gnats. Overall just go for the experience I can at least say that I have checked it off my Houston bucket list. There are several other places in Houston that taste better and are worth the cost.

My second time here and I didn't think that I could have enjoyed it any more than the first time but I must say that my second visit to this establishment was better than the first. My opinion may have been influenced by my first experience with the "Wings and Waffle". The seasonings used on the chicken makes this some of the best fried chicken that I've had and the waffle was light and fluffy. The whole thing was pretty darn good. I'm looking forward to trying something new on my next visit.

After hearing all the raves from people about this place, I finally got to try it. Was definitely not a disappointment! I got the wings n waffle which was just like I imagined. Wings crisp and moist! Seasoning was perfect (a little salty but it's because when you eat with waffle it's sweet)! Portion was so big I couldn't finish my plate. The customer service was nice too. They were all morning people which cheered me up because I am not a morning person! I liked how the condiments, coffee, and utensils were self serve. That way you can get in and out fast.

If you come here with an empty stomach on a weekend, you will find yourself crying for two hours in the long line that wraps around the entire building. Parking will also make you cry. That's why I played it smart, this time around, and came at 10 AM on a Friday. The line was about 1/3 of the size it was last time and it was only a 15 minute wait! Halleluuuuujah This place has got the whole southern hospitality thing all figured out. From the sweet lady who hands menus and keeps customers company while waiting in line, to the accommodating cashiers and the some of the nicest servers, the service here is top notch. Chiken & Waffles (5/5) - Best chicken and waffles I've had in Houston so far! It comes with 6 HOT, FRESH, CRUNCHY, JUICY chicken wings that complement the soft yet crunchy waffle quite perfectly. Such an exceptional pair. Katfish & Grits (4/5) - Comes with eggs, cooked to your preference. I'm not a fan of grits nor catfish (since they're known to be the dirtiest of all fish- sorry to all my catfish lovers who had no idea), but since it's known to be one of the favorites here, I decided to open up my mind just a wee bit. The catfish was fried to perfection and the butter-and-cheese smothered grits were amazing, to my surprise. I never thought I'd find myself indulging in both!

Line is always long no matter what day it is. Good waffles and wings but I don't recommend it if you're trying to eat healthy: their fried wings are soaked with oil. Overrated brunch, you can go elsewhere in midtown and Montrose for the same quality or better minus the long line.

Highway robbery. I ordered chicken wings and waffles, and a cup of coffee. The total was over $20. The waffle was good. It tasted like a waffle. The wings tasted like wings, and the coffee, like coffee. I ate my meal, felt robbed, and left hungry.

I am currently at work, back in Los Angeles, and all I can think about is their "katfish and grits" with eggs, and that perfectly delicious biscuit. My boyfriend absolutely LOVES, LOVES LOVES, their wings & waffles. That's also a favorite here at the breakfast klub. Their catfish is perfectly seasoned, perfect amount of batter, and so flaky and steaming hot! Also, I was never a fan of grits, until I had them here. They were just sooooooooo goood. Besides from the food, I want to say that the long line you see outside, moves very quickly. After I ordered my food and filled my beverage cup, I see the waiter drop off my steaming hot plate of catfish. That thing arrived at the table faster than I did. No joke. We loved TBK so much, my bf even bought a shirt, haha. Texas really is all about the southern hospitality, and the folks at TBK are the perfect epitome of that. I'll be counting down the days until my taste buds will yet again reunite with and be blessed with these dishes. :(

When in downtown Houston, you must visit the famous Breakfast Club Resturant. I always get their chicken and waffles but they are also known for their catfish and grits plate. This place is simply amazing and one of my favorites breakfast spots in the states!

Gotta throw my glass of water into the ocean with this review. This place is amazing. You will have dreams about it after you eat here. Helpful advice: - Come for breakfast as soon as you can - If it's open, and you're hungry, it's the right time - Keep your cardiologist on speed-dial - The line moves fast, just jump in, and be nice to Mary - You have to try the classics: wings and waffles & katfish and gritz - After the classics, explore the rest of the menu, it's great - The coffee is great too - Go there now

No doubt their Chicken wings, waffle, and grits were good. Staffs were friendly. I used to love this place but not anymore because they are wwwwwaaaaayyyy overpriced. They increased the price every time I went there. From $10.99 to $12.99 then couple months later $14.99, really? I am wondering what kind of chicken and waffle mixed they used. Do you really need to charge that much to cover your cost? A breakfast for two cost me over $40. That's just way too much. I can find good chicken and waffle with reasonable price else where, and, don't need to wait for that long. You can keep the money but I won't come back.

I was visiting Houston so of course I had to see what the fuss was about! The people are great. She knew it was my first time so she told me I should get wings and then gave me a free wing to taste (I was gonna get just an omelette). After I tasted it, I had to get the chicken and waffles! I was not disappointed. Chicken is so crispy and seasoned. Waffle was fluffy. It was perfect. Food comes out pretty quickly. I was so happy with my meal I bought some seasoning to take home with me! And she wouldn't even take my tip! I also heard the catfish and grits is great too so I'll try that next time. And there will be a next time!
