Always a great experience at Chipotle on 21st. I typically dart in for a quick to-go meal and while the line is usually insanely long at the lunch hour, it flows quickly. The ingredients are always fresh, the place is clean, and the team is efficient and pleasant. No wonder it's one of my weekly go-tos. Definitely recommend (and for reference, I always get a chicken burrito bowl, black beans, no rice, cheese and mild and medium salsa--sometimes guac if I'm feeling wild).

Chipotle is one of two fast food places it will actually eat at.... Until an article comes out and says it's actually not as healthy as I think. For now, they're quick service atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and price serve up a wonderful workday lunch. They service is always fast and to the point. I only wish they offered more of their products without red onions... But while the rest of the world accepts them, I can't imagine that will be anytime soon... so I'll continue to eat there. "I love Chipotle, Chipotle is my lifffeee!" - cred to the little kid on YouTube. Hope you're a millionaire from royalties by now!

Chipotle is consistent and good. I always get the steak burrito with corn and hot salsa. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Poor service today at Chipotle. Going to Chipotle is like going to Disneyland for adults. The staff at chipotle today was either all hung over or all just pissed off. They just slopped the ingredients and gave so little. When I asked for some more rice she gave 1/4 more if a spoonful. They were low on ingredients so instead of filling my bowl to the correct portion and getting more they just gave a tiny amount. I left very annoyed after this experience. I suggest the West End location.

This place is the best on weekends for lunch! They give generous scoops of meat. Especially when you ask them how their doing and make a little conversation. It gets busy over lunch and dinner hours, but they're usually fast.

This is the worst Chipotle Mexican Grill I have been to. Even when it is not jammed pack for lunch, they seem to undercook the beans and char the vegetables. I had a bad experience here in November and gave it another chance today, much to my disappointment. In addition, they are always in a rush, regardless of the amount of people in the restaurant. The staff has a bad attitude and the ratio of their servings is different each time. They are just unnecessarily sloppy and unprofessional.

So I go to Chipotle every city I visit. Didn't realize the best service was at home in Nashville. Took my family and with two small kids, the lady that rang us up offered to carry our meals to the table so we could take the kids she also offered us a milk when we set down for the baby. The food was great as usual a da gentleman came by twice to check and see if everything was okay with our meal. I love the product and quality of this place but this time it was like a five star restaurant with service and atmosphere. The bathrooms were very clean and the parking was convenient. I enjoyed this very much and plan on coming back soon.

My first time here... and it reminded me of Moe's.. I had an hour lunch today, don't get that very often...my co workers wanted Taco Bell, but I wanted something more!!! So I thought what? what? what? I was driving in the Vandy area and saw Chipotle ...never been so I swung my van into the parking lot and went in. The line wasn't too long, gave me enough time to check out the overhead menu. I opted for the chicken burrito bowl with brown rice, and black beans, with corn relish, pico, guac, fajita veggies and cheese...then I also got chips and salsa to go with a side of two different salsa...right at $10 not bad... this was to go back to my work cube...so by the time I got there, it was cold..not their fault wish I had eaten there, would have been much better served hot I would go again! Reminded me of Moe's...

LOVE chipotle. . Will actually drive 20+ miles to this location to get some lol as it is the closest! I ordered three items on the app and my husband picked it up. Everything was correct and fresh. I always get barbacoa, extra rice, no beans, fajita veggies, corn salsa, sourcream, lettuce and a tiny dab of their hotsauce. PERFECTION!!! LOVE YOU CHIPOTLE!!!

Panhandlers hit you up for money, while you are waiting in line for food. Not an ideal dining experience.

Chipotle is pretty consistent wherever you go. This Chipotle is right on the Vanderbilt campus so it stays pretty busy whenever school is in session. The food is great and I usually go with a burrito. One negative that I have noticed about this Chipotle is sometimes the steak is undercooked and seems to be very rare. I usually like my steak medium but this steak is pink and I've noticed it on more than a couple occasions. This doesn't stop me from going though and I would recommend Chipotle to anyone who loves burritos and tacos.

Worst chipotle in town. This is the 3rd time I've gone and they've been, "out," of crucial chipotle components, all times have been about an hour before close. This current time. Not only were the employees rude to my brother and I, but to each other. There was an obviously new guy on the line and the fellow employee was very rudely snapping at him. The service I can look past but the ingredients, out of 2 of the 4 kinds of salsa? Out of CHIPS? That's a burger without fries, just not right. I love and will always love chipotle but I will go across town to purpose not go to this one again.

This location routinely under seasons their food and under fills their bowls. I'm frustrated and disappointed (and left hungry) every time I choose the convenience of this location over West End.

I'm normally a huge Chipotle fan. Last night I ordered a chicken burrito. They were out of chicken and frantically cooking and slicing chicken to keep up with the orders coming in. The person cutting the chicken signaled to another employee that it was ready and she went to the cutting board to get a spoon-full. She made a comment to the person cooking and cutting the chicken for a moment and then she brought it to the line and asked what else I'd like on my burrito. I mentioned to her that the chicken looked a little pink. She took it back to the cook and showed it to him and threw it out, came back and apologized to me. They made me another burrito and gave it to me for free. I'm appalled that it took 3 people to discover that a piece of chicken was dangerously undercooked. I won't be returning to this location again.

I can't NOT be a fan of Chipotle. The line moves quickly and there are endless combinations of deliciousness. This particular location seems SUPER echo-y. I feel like it's tough to have a normal conversation inside (but that's probably because I am stuffing my face). It's really loud. It's great they have outdoor seating options for this reason. There are about 5 tables. TIP: don't go at noon! SUPER LONG line. Go at like 11:45 or 1:30.

I crave burritos on a regular basis and it seems that Chipotle is the best Nashville has yet to offer up to burrito lovers. It's sad to be honest. Chipotle will never have burritos that will compare to my personal favorite of nopales and tofu rancheros from my local taquaria in San Francisco. But its what happens when you move away from the source. If there are some veg friendly places I am overlooking, please drop some knowledge on this transplant. This is your standard Chipotle. If you like Chipotle in general, you will like this one. I work across the street and this is the best vegan option for my long days on campus. I tend to burrito here frequently (burrito is a verb here). If you don't like Chipotle, you won't like this one either. I find that Chipotle is a fix, but is not quite fully satisfying. It's like when you really want to have a satisfying beer and there is only light beer. Yeah, you will drink it, but it's no IPA. It serves it's purpose well.

Call me a heretic but I'd rather go to Qdoba.....sorry!!!! Every time I go to Chipotle I get to the cash register and think, 'how the heck did I just spend $12 on lunch???' I ordered a salad and an Izze's soda. It tastes good, don't get me wrong but that price is crazytown to me! Maybe it's because I'm not used to paying a lot for Mexican food, but no, it'll be another month until I forget the incident, go back in and like deja vu, 'how the heck did I end up spending $12 on lunch?' The theme is minimalism and the space is clean. They have a patio to boot! The place is usually packed during lunch but even so the staff is super efficient and I am in and out in a decent time. If you don't mind the price I say go for it! FYI, they don't have quesadillas.

NOTE: Will update this as Chipotle gets their act together. This is the 3rd different Chipotle that I had a chance to visit within weeks of opening. Consistency: their meat is always salty when new locations open as if they are using a predetermined recipe that might need some tweaking. Furniture: good mix of the new Chipotle cushion seats and regular chairs & tables. Staffing: They seem to have lot of employees and lines were moving. We'll see how the next few weeks look. I'm sure it was intentionally overstaffed during lunch time to serve the unpredictable Vanderbilt crowds. Subway, Panera: You got competition now.

I love this place! I always get a chicken burrito bowl there, they are generous with their food, and you can add vegetables for free (Qdoba charges extra for that). They are always very nice, and the food is always super fresh.

Seriously with Kristin G. on this one, overpriced Americanized Mexicanish food? The menu is basic fresh ingredients, the resulting burrito (or bowl) is fairly tastey, but for one person: a veggie burrito and a drink I left with a $9 bill - a bit much considering the veggies and rice were under-seasoned and I could have scored the same burrito with a bit more flair for less, elsewhere. I have to disclose I have not had the meat options and those may be killer. I think that the trendy vibe is fun for people, and again the food is good for the most part, this location is packed with College students and Vandy employees as it is on 21st across from the medical center/college so location isn't hurting them if you are walking. Parking is a b*tch! small lot and arrive early as in 11am! Service is fast and typically friendly but the way the glass "burrito station" is set up and add in the background of a packed restaurant, it can be hard to hear when ordering the ingredients for your burrito. I repeated myself about 3 times as did the guy building my burrito, to the point we were both a bit irritated by the time it was done. Overall, I can see why people will frequent here, its easy, its fresh and convenient and maybe they are more comfortable with the price. I however will stick to some of my other favorites where I feel I get more value for my money.

I normally love Chipotle, but my burrito this time was half the normal size! I pay for the big portions...

Bowls are good, nice atmosphere, friendly service and decent price. $7.56 for a bowl with a water. Brown rice, black beans, chicken, mild sauce and hot sauce, cheese and letttuce= tasty satisfying dinner. use the chipotle app to preorder and skip the line. Asking for a mix of chicken and beef can yield more meat for the money.

For some reason, every time I went to the old Chipotle, I left with the food being cold, and that bothered me. I decided to try this out, just because I had a burrito craving, and always enjoy a new experience, and I like this location better than the West End Ave. store. First, the traffic situation is much easier. You don't have to deal with trying to either get in, or find one of the so few parking spots. Second, since there are fewer surrounding businesses, most of the spots are going directly to Chipotle. Third, the way seemed a little faster (I probably hit it between the rushes), and finally, the burrito was warm, which makes such a difference. If you have the choice, I'd go to this Chipotle, It just seems better overall.

First, let me say that this review should not be a review of ALL Chipotle restaurants as every one of them EXCEPT for this one I have been to (and I have been to Chipotles in at least 4 different states) is EXCELLENT. This Chipotle, however, falls well below the mark. First off, I used the Iphone app mobile ordering. Often, when you get to a Chipotle, there is a huge line for burritos, so I do the mobile ordering. That way, you get to skip the line and go straight to the checkout and just pick up your food. The app asks you when you want your food to be ready, so I specified 5:35 pm. I showed up at 6:05 and walked up to the cashier and asked about my food. He pointed me to the end of the line. Confused, I walked to the end of the line and stood in it. Apparently, they hadn't even begun to make my food. So much for using the app and not waiting in line and paying ahead of time. Never have I encountered that at a Chipotle before. Never. Secondly, as the woman was making my burrito, she put maybe a 1/4 cup of rice, layed three small pieces of carnitas on top of it and passed the burrito on to the next assembly line guy. I was shocked. The whole point of Chipotle is that they make GIANT burritos. That is their whole deal. That is their image. Their drink cups extol the greatness of their huge burritos. However, the burritos made at THIS Chipotle are nothing like that. So, when my burrito got to the next guy, I complained about the tiny portions I had been given and told him that was not what I had come to expect from a Chipotle. He said that that was the right amount and that the carnitas portion should fit in a tiny salsa cup. Wow. Usually when they finish my burrito, they can hardly wrap the tortilla around it because it is so full of their awesome ingredients. However, at THIS Chipotle, there was so much tortilla left over that it was wrapped over on itself several times over. I had a tiny torpedo burrito that cost $10. Amazing. Skip this Chipotle. If this is the only one you ever go to, you'll think that they are all like this and be sorely disappointed. Go to any other and you'll be happy.

Another Chipotle, what can one say? Mainly quality food and a nice addition to the 21st Ave South food scene. This restaurant is located at the previous site of Peter Chinn's Korean BBQ and before that a Cheeseburger Charley's.

Apparently the name of the game at lunch on 21st is go early. I walked over to Chipotle at 11:30 a.m. before the rush and waltzed straight up to the counter. No sooner did I get the words out of my mouth to order my veggie burrito bowl (a tad of brown rice and a touch black beans) did I reach the cashier with a bag in my hand. Talk about an in-and-out burrito! Delicious.

Service, food, portion, price.... How do I say.... AWESOME!!!! We got a pork bowl with sour cream & guacamole, 3 tacos, and 2 fountain drinks for like $22...we were stuffed!

The greatest find this year so far? A chicken bowl without sour cream, cheese or guac (how I usually like it) has FEW CALORIES than a Subway foot-long roast chicken sandwich (also without cheese or other trimmings)! And it tastes better! My abs thank Chipotle for keeping them visible.

This review is just for their catering. I ordered the "Two Meat Spread" and it was awesome! Everything was ready when we arrived at the agreed upon time and they helped carry it to my car. I ordered enough for 30 people but it fed more than that. The meats definitely went faster than the beans, rice, and other items; however, there was still some meat left over. It really made feeding a lot of people easy. The set up was fast and kept everything at the right temp. I would highly recommend using Chipotle to cater your party. Loved it! We ate left overs for several days!! And I still have so much shredded cheese left over! I loved that they gave us plenty of guac. My only tip is that if you do plan to get more servings out of what you order, make sure you buy more bowls/plastic forks.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
