I actually like Blue Coast but I was somewhat disappointed at this location. The lettuce wasn't green, but brownish green :( that's the first thing I noticed but I ended up getting some on my burrito anyways. The salsa bar was very dirty, I am not sure what happened there as there wasn't even much people here anyways! The high chairs, gross! Sticky! I did however like how this was set up, with outdoor shaded seating overlooking the garage and outdoor seating in the front of the building The employees were very nice to bring my food to the table as I bought my 2 yr old with me. I'm not sure if I'd be back here, maybe if they were more clean I would but food was tasty... it's just that the dirtiness of the restaurant knocked down my appetite.

I have ordered take out twice from this location and the order has never been made, or even started, when I arrive. Teenagers work the store and don't seem to care much about customer service. It's too bad because blue coast is great food.

I like this place. I've never encountered a blue coast I didn't like. The only time I've ever felt a little uncomfortable is when I got one of those "looks" when they forgot my queso. I mean--what am I going to do, stick it in my non-existent pant pocket on my yoga shorts and ask for another? No reason to be that way. Other than that, they've always been friendly.

Dear Blue Coast Burrito, Let me introduce you to the ADA rules about SERVICE DOGS: Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. For example, in a hospital it would be inappropriate to exclude a service animal from areas such as patient rooms, clinics, cafeterias, or examination rooms. However, it may be appropriate to exclude a service animal from operating rooms or burn units where the animal's presence may compromise a sterile environment. So......... next time your uneducated, mouthy little managers ask me to take my service dog outside............. BE PREPARED FOR A LAWSUIT. There was NO REASON to cause a scene and embarrass me about having a service animal in a food service establishment. I'm aware he wasn't wearing a vest. It was 90 degrees outside. I did, HOWEVER, repeatedly OFFER you his ID card. I WILL NEVER EVER EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR eat at a BCB again. Be thankful I don't sue you.

I've never had issues at this location. I work down the street and eat here weekly. Sad to hear about the service dog issue......sorry that happened to you and your sweet companion. Maybe Blue Coast should stick to making burritos and do some research regarding service animals.

First time eating here so can't give it 5 stars yet.... Had fish burrito and like my fellow yelper Jason stated IT WAS PHENOMENAL! no problems with freshness of any of the ingredients i requested and customer service was really good! Clean location with outside seating...I'm somewhat of a fan and kinda sad that i just now gave this place a chance.. will return!

I never take the time to leave bad reviews. I always give the benefit of the doubt. However, my experience here yesterday was so bad, that I'm taking the time to write about it. I went shortly after 11:30am with my 3 year old and 14 month old. To be honest, every time I've ever been in the past, I always thought it took way too long to get your food, so I should have known better. But being early, I thought I'd beat the rush. When we walked in, they were fulfilling a large on-line order. It started to take an excessively long time and the person who had placed the order was not even in the restaurant yet. My youngest was starving, crying, trying to get down, etc. I was obviously having a hard time. I am NOT a parent who expects special treatment under normal circumstances. However. It was clear that I was struggling. It would have been very easy for them to take my order. Instead, one of the employees (the manager maybe?) kept looking at me and smiling and saying "Sorry this is taking so long." They made me wait until the ENTIRE large order had been filled. I stood there for 20 minutes before I even placed my order. The lady behind me even told me she thought we were waiting in the wrong place because it was taking so long. I finally made it to the register where the lady in front of me was paying with SIX separate credit cards. Again, screaming baby. A second lady with a baby who had already paid approached the counter and asked for her chips. She asked three different people, all of which either ignored her or forgot about her. When I finally made it to the register, I had to ask someone to get the woman some chips. 4 requests for one bag of chips. And I was there for over 30 minutes before I sat down to eat. I could have gone to an actual restaurant in that amount of time. Lastly, I went to the counter to ask for a to go box before leaving. There were two employees standing there. After I asked, instead of just handing me the box, they looked at each other for several seconds before one of them rolled her eyes and came over to give me a to go box. Completely inefficient. Rude. Inconsiderate. We will never go back.

I can say food is just meh... We live in Lenox so we should go here often however the past two times we've been food disappoints. Soggy burritos, mediocre salsa,-& over priced. Plus the one time we tried to get Togo food we ended up being overcharged and not getting our complete order. It seems like everyone who works here is 18, they need some guidance , not impressed.

Waited in line with only 2 people in front of me for over 20 mins only to find out that the girl is new and moved at a glacial pace. When I went to order I found out what I was ordering is no longer gluten free. Awesome. The service has been at a steep decline this took the cake. I'm done.

Great quick and casual spot. Better local than the chipotle, etc. service was great. A little skimpy on the meat but ill be back.

I'm a regular to this location and I can honestly say that I've never had a bad experience. The food is always good and their customer service is top notch. Everyone is always smiling and in a good mood and if they're not, it sure doesn't show. Tuesday nights are family night for heavily discounted kids meals from 5-9pm. This place gets packed! On a lesser busy day I was talking to the guy behind the counter about it and he told me that I could always call ahead, skip the line and pick up my food at the counter. Awesome! This particular location is always kept clean. They have a fenced in patio off the back of the building. This is a build-your-own place. Think Subway but for burritos. I'm also not sure which place came first; Baja Burrito or Blue Coast. I'd be really interested to look into this because the menu is exactly the same. Exactly. I'm thinking Blue Coast because it's a franchise. I usually prefer local businesses to franchises but Baja is always slammed and moves way too fast for my liking. Because they move so quickly their customer service is lacking. If you love burritos, tacos (they have excellent fish tacos) or nachos then this is a solid place to go getchu some! Also if you can't find parking in the front just go around the building and park in the garage in the back.

We are regulars at Blue Coast... I always order the kid burrito because I do well to finish that....never had a problem ordering it in the past but couldn't do it today. Currently on our way to Moe's...never had a problem there!

Awesome service, clean dining area, & a cool atmosphere. I didn't encounter a problem at all. I ordered fish tacos which had to be cooked to order so I understand how anyone could get angry for waiting. Will be returning soon.

The food here's average and I'd say a bit pricey for what you get. You'd better off getting tacos, etc at the street taco truck.

The husbandry unit and I have stopped here a few times on Nolensville jaunts. This location is not our first for Blue Coast, but definitely a better experience overall. There are always a few diners, but we never have to wait. From the moment we walk in the door, the staff is SUPER friendly. I'm a picky eater, and they have always been more than patient with my indecisive burrito moments. For the Baja Burrito fans, this place is eerily similar, without the crowds or the wait. (Don't misread me here, I love Baja as much as the next guy. Just sayin'...) If the weather permits, we like to sit on the front patio, and on occasion, a staff member will walk outside to ask if we need a drink refill, etc. My only true gripe is the parking. It's amazing how this area looks so quiet, but there are few places to park. I assume it's because of all the residential units nearby. With other businesses slated to open up in this strip, it will be interesting to see where parking goes from here.

I eat at the other locations quite often. This location needs some help. Lettuce was old, guacamole was brown. Disapponting.

Blue Coast is a good option for quick Mexican in the style of Moes/Qdoba/Chipotle, etc. It happens to be the only one of those options near my house, so I'm glad that my first experience there was a mostly positive one. The staff is friendly and the line on a Thursday night moved quickly, but I had to wait a while after paying for my to-go order for my queso. Unfortunately once I got home and opened it, I found it was the consistency of milk and slid right off the chips - which weren't that great either. I like a thick, nearly scoopable queso and theirs left much to be desired. However, the LaTinga chicken peasant plate I ordered was quite good, and my fiance had no complaints about his gigantic steak burrito. We'll be back but we won't order the queso again. Prepare to be annoyed with the parking situation.

The roommates and I would live to live at Blue Coast. The LaTingua chicken is a piece of heaven. Try the nachos - just get the queso on the side since it can make the chips soggy. Drink fruit tea and be happy.

Love this location for two reasons. 1 They always give me good service and 2 its walking distance. Ok, maybe a couple more things like the food is good and Kids night on tuesdays makes it great. This is what I used to think. They don't have good workers or mgt anymore. The god days are gone. Never get my phone orders right and they don't keep it clean.

At one time I really loved Blue Coast however I have to downgrade them to just okay. I've come to have high standards for tex mex and I feel like Blue Coast falls kind of short of what I consider great. The fish tacos are probably my favorite option here. Next on my list would be the latinga chicken tacos or burrito. The salsa bar is also a plus... if you get a side of chips you can choose from an array of several salsas. Notable amongst the salsa is the sweet flavored pineapple salsa. I've never really had any salsa like this and it is quite good. It is a local franchised chain so you are likely to get a similar experience at any other Blue Coast you visit in the greater metro Nashville area. You could do a lot worse when it comes to tex mex and I certainly rank this above Moe's or other lowly places like Baja Fresh however I can't help but feel like Baja Burrito or Chipotle are really much better options and worth the drive even if they are not as conveniently located as Blue Coast.

I'm a huge fan of Baja Burrito, so having Blue Coast so close to the house is a huge plus. Love their guac and fresh hot salsa. Parking is a breeze with a lot in front and also a full garage in back. The eating area is large and open. This is the best location I've been to for Blue Coast around town.

I've eaten at Blue Coast twice now, and both times my food has been just okay. The burritos are not especially flavorful. I think I may have gotten the wrong thing- I tried the vegetarian burrito with "garlic mushrooms." The mushrooms were obviously from a can. The staff has been friendly enough. The atmosphere is okay, if you're in the mood to sit between beach balls and surf boards. I may try Blue Coast again, but it's definitely nothing to write home about!

Been back 2 more times to introduce this place to 3 other friends -- everyone seemed to really like it. One friend tried the fish burrito and he said it was good. My vegan friend had a guacamole taco that she said she'd been hankerin' for. The location seems very good and the price is reasonable; I hope they continue to be successful.

I've eaten at a couple of different BCBs around town, but this location remains my favorite. Service is always friendly and quick, and the fish tacos are always a reliable choice. My husband also likes their salads, which are enormous. I would also recommend a burrito with chicken. Yum! Finally, don't forget to try the chips with BCB's many different salsas. Find your favorite.

I love most "fast food" burrito places, Sans Taco Bell. I think I have tried them all, but I wasn't thrilled with Blue Coast. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. I don't know that I would really go out of my way to try them out again. I had a steak burrito, lots a veggies, most that didn't go very well with the burrito. Call me a traditionalist, but zucchini and broccoli, while great in most everything, threw me for a loop in my steak burrito, especially since there was far more zucchini than steak. I actually recall wondering if I accidentally received someone veggie burrito because there was very little steak in there. I also requested that they go light on the cheese, but I swear they must have picked up 2 shreds, not even a good pinch of cheese. Unless I am out numbered by my other dinning companions, I probably won't go there again. However, if I do, I am going to try the fish taco's since that seems to be what people are most happy with.

With roots on Thompson Lane as Baja Burrito, Blue Coast is the franchised version of the original. While the original has few seating spots and virtually no parking, this location shatters that objection. For a healthy, tasty burrito, try the wheat or spinach tortillas in lieu of the traditional flour. Don't miss the Baja Fruit Tea and (my favorite) mild salsa.

Stopped by there tonight for the first time. The place seemed very nice. We received quick service, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The menu had a very wide variety of items to choose from. After looking it over, I decided on the steak burrito w/chips. I gathered a couple of different salsas from the salsa bar, and sat down to eat. The burrito was good, and the beef was tender and tasty. I liked it, but it just did not impress me that much. I was a little disappointed in the two salsas that I tried (rosa and tomatillo). The salsa rosa was the best of the two, but neither had the flavor I expected. Kind of flat. The fruit tea was very good, so I suggest you give that a try. They have a nice patio if you like to sit outside, so we enjoyed the lovely, cool evening. Honestly, I like Qdoba better, the food there has more flavor. I will definitely give Blue Coast a try again. I liked it enough, and it only a few minutes from where I live. It is in a good location, I really like the Lenox Village area. I will give something else a try the next go-around, Happy dining!!

Meh:(. Just average at best. It's a shame because the location is great. Chipotle is actually much better.

Got a couple of burritos and some chips with queso last night. Since everything is made-to-order we got what we wanted. All was good and the salsa bar was great with plenty of little cups with lids to take it all home. The little packs of gum are a nice touch to eliminate burrito breath. Price was reasonable with a CitiSaver coupon.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
