When your talking about Mexican restaurants its kinda like Chinese. there are the Americanized versions and then the real authentic versions. This is an Americanized Mexican restaurant, and I'm not saying that is a bad thing. I just wanted to clarify the type of Mexican food you are going to get. So to start off my family comes here a couple times a month and have been for a couple of years. When i come into town we almost always eat here. The service is amazing. the staff is friendly, precise and fast. The food is good, the selection is good and the rate that the food comes out is insane. a table of four only waits about 15 minutes for the food to come out. The best thing about this place is the consistency. Your not going to get any surprises here in the way of bad service or bad food. they are very consistent. i recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good "american style" Mexican Restaurant.

The daiquiri got them one star. It was good. That's where it ends though. The food was soggy, came out impossibly quickly (so they had to have had everything pre made) and tasted like it came from cans. Never again.

A decent Mexican place in probably the weirdest strip mall I've been in. The smell from the river doesn't really help the appetite. However, the brightly lit decor though makes me forget about that and I'm actually looking forward to what may be a semi-authentic dining experience. Our waiter was quick to ask for our drinks but seemed a little disappointed that my friend and I wanted to just have water and the chips and salsa seemed just all right, neither of them were very impressive He was quick to check on us when our party was complete but he didn't really gave our third diner too much time to choose. He didn't check on us too often until he gave us our checks and then left us alone, letting us figure out on our own that our cashier was up front. I had the carne asada tacos and it was pretty decent with a side of salsa verdea and pico but I think I would have paid the extra dollar fifty for the whole asada, because while good, was just okay, it seemed more like a very thin cut steak and not a nicely marinated asada. I ordered a late maragarita of the frozen, strawberry variety which was surprisingly strong. Not a bad outing, but one that could use some improvement.

I love this mexican restaurant (its either here or Pancho Villa that i would go to in Clarksville, this one is closer to my house and i just adore it). The food is very good, service is okay, they have mostly men servers and the place gets pretty packed around lunch/dinner time, so i'd go before the normal rush period. I do agree with the previous poster that it does smell a little funky in the parking lot due to the river, but it is very worth going to.

Ate there for the first time tonight. The chips and salsa are okay, salsa is nothing to brag about and lacks heat. I had fish tacos which were absolutely disgusting. I had my husband taste and confirm that the fish was bad. I ended up sending them back and after two bites of the bad fish I couldn't eat anything else. My tacos were served with a weird mix of plain white rice and unseasoned black beans topped with parmesan cheese. My husband's carnitas were apparently good. They did take the bad tacos off our bill at least. Our service was also decent, but I don't think we'd go back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
