Chinese food. Summerville is not short on this particular cuisine. Seriously. Dragon House is just another player in this very saturated area. Here's the good: They deliver, the food is hot, and they are usually early according to their estimates. Oh, and their Lo Mein isn't bad. Here's the bad: MYSTERY MEAT. Let me elucidate. Beef & Broccoli (a very ubiquitous dish) has a type of beef that does not strike the pallet well. It is way too soft for beef. Way, way too soft. I'm not sure if it's intentional or something that is breaking down the meat to the point that it is mushy, please fix it. The next thing is the chicken. Now, I know that most Chinese restaurants that are in this price point must make sure to use EVERY part of the poultry. But I detest mushy breading from over-saucing the dark meat chicken (gross) of a dish like Sesame Chicken. Of the other complaints I have, I guess the main one that bothers me is their Crab Rangoon. It is one of my favorite appetizers, when cooked correctly. They either use low-fat cream cheese or sweeten their recipe. These things have no bite. They are sweet and have little cream cheese or any other flavor inside. And of course, this is a personal preference. So if you are like me and enjoy the true taste of Crab Rangoon, avoid this as an appetizer. Lastly, their Fried Pork Wontons are tasteless, mouth damaging, pieces of rubberized noodle. All in all because they deliver we make concessions. I would NEVER go buy takeout from this place. And they have some things on their menu that are actually good. So try it for yourself and make this opinion on your own. It ain't all bad.

I move every few years and my first search food is usually for Chinese. I have a lot better from other places but I've also have worse. over all customer service is just fine, the food is ok, i like lots of flavor and they are just a little bland and they deliver which is really nice.

I was very sick after eating here. The food was bland and the chicken was very tough and poor quality. Will definitely not be going back.

Would like to comment on the food, but never made it that far. Called to make a delivery order and was treated with rudeness and impatience. Took my business to another Chinese spot and will give them my business in the future...not this place!!

We used to eat here all the time but after finding a bone in the pork fried rice .we gave it one last time.the last time we had it there was a fly in my shrimp chow mein.I called and explained to the guy what happened and he hung up on me so I called back and they ended up refunding my money and didn't seem to even care that it happened.

I love this place ! One of the only places in Summerville that offers pad Thai, and not super expensive! It's ridiculous that they're so many bad reviews I am a Chinese food aficionado and I give this place all the stars that it will let me.

I've been ordering takeout and/or delivery from here for years and always found the delivery prompt and the food both good and hot. My favorite dish is shrimp with mixed vegetables. The shrimp are large and fresh, the vegetables are crisp and tasty and the sauce is nice. I've also found their egg rolls and won ton soup to be quite good. The restaurant is not very attractive so I never eat there.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
