Diabetics at Whataburger

High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Amazing restaurant. Skip the overly froo-froo dining room and go for their more casual room. -It features the same food for less money and still has a great atmosphere itself. The food is truly an experience, featuring some of the most adventurous dishes you could find. I love the Elk, but I've heard nothing but raves about their pizza. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for their prices.

The absolute best thing about this café is the atmosphere! It is a great place to go with a friend, or a date. The atmosphere is warm, and welcoming. The staff seems very friendly. Our waitress went above and beyond to make us feel at home. But, the food... My date had "the special" which was snapper with almonds and green beans. It was good, but not worth the price tag which, they forget to tell you about it until you get the check. I had the Greek pizza which tasted like hard, thin Tony's pizza with olives on it... The feta cheese had absolutely no flavor. Our bill for the Greek pizza, the "special", and an unsweet iced tea was $43. I think that's too much!

I really enjoyed Gerhard's! It's a cute place with an awesome outdoor seating area. The service was decent, but our waiter was a bit of an odd bird who mumbled most of what he was saying so it was a little hard to understand him at times. But he kept our drinks full so I don't really have any complaints there. They have an extensive menu and the food is delicious! I had the Gerhard's greek salad, which is an interesting take on Greek salad that I've never seen before, but it was surprisingly good! For my entree I ordered the filet with peppercorn sauce and fried potatoes and oh my gosh- it was so, so, so good! The peppercorn sauce is crazy delicious and the steak was tender and seasoned perfectly. And hey, you can't go wrong with fried potatoes. If I'm ever in Spartanburg again, I will certainly be back!

Been here for for almost 2 hours and still waiting for food. There are 9 of us. Made us wait 1 hour till took order. Told us that they couldn't take our order because the kitchen was backed up. But - we could order appetizers.... Will not come back here again.

Used to be a lot better! Service is very slow and food takes forever! Will not be back!

We went here for Valentine's Day. So glad we did. The service was first rate and our meals were perfectly prepared. We ate on the restaurant side, but there's also a large pub - like area for hanging out with friends. I met the owner and he was clearly paying attention to all the details. We will return!

My husband and I loved this place! The formal dining room looks like it's from the 1700's which may not be for everyone, but I think it's pretty cool and different from other restaurants. They have a good variety of German and Austrian beers. I had an awesome Austrian grapefruit soda beer. Delicious, but low alcohol content. We had the beer battered calamari which was great, and our entrees were wiener schnitzel and roasted duckling. All tasted great and cooked perfectly. The service wasn't perfect, but the waitress was very sweet. We will definitely be coming back. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday night, I suggest you make a reservation. We did, and we were seated immediately, but there were quite a few people waiting who gave us the stink eye.

It was another wonderful meal at Gerhards last night. The decor, service, and overall feel of this place has always been exceptional. I went with the Elk Rouladen again and once again it was absolutely divine. The cook has always taken the time to prepare the food in the most impressive way possible. This means super fresh red cabbage, super delicious Spätzle, and absolutely perfectly prepared Rouladen. Sadly this is likely going to be my last visit to Gerhards as I'm no longer going to have an account in this area. You can bet I'd be back if I ever had the chance. It is easily one of the two or three best German restaurants I've ever eaten at.

The food is always exceptional : easily 5 stars. Best pizza in town by a landslide. But my service last night was deplorable. Guess my check was too small to grab my server's attention. Couldn't get my drink right; WOULDN't bring the check.

Delicious food. Service was exceptional. I had the Rainbow Trout Amandine with a creamy dill sauce, all on the waitresses recommendation. It was fresh and delicious. Wife had the pork loin with the mango chutney. Mine was good. Hers was better. :) great place for a special occasion.

We really like going to Gerhard's. Our last visit was marred by horrible service from a very inexperienced server, bit that's not the norm. The bar offers a wide variety of options and special drinks. Prices are reasonable. They served Brad with a pimiento cheese butter which is unique but good. The pizzas are thin crust, and very good. They have a variety of traditional German and Austrian dishes, very authentic and quite good. There are two dining rooms, one formal, one casual. Menu is the same in both.

Gerhard's used to be one of the best restaurants in Spartanburg. A few months ago I made such a big to-do about going there with my boyfriend and we were wildly disappointed. I got the peppercorn crusted sirloin (which used to be my favorite) and it was chewy and over-cooked. Our waitress was drunk, I think. She forgot our drink order twice and kept making inappropriate comments at our table and the check took FOREVER to arrive. Boyfriend liked his pork chop and potatoes. The panzanella salad (which used to be so good) was underwhelming and they changed the ingredients (but not the description on the menu). Maybe Gerhard is retired now? I didn't get the sense that he was running the kitchen anymore as he was a stickler for detail and this just didn't measure up. I'm going back again very soon for a dinner with some clients (at their request) so hopefully I'll have a positive update after that.

Gerhards is a mandatory stop whenever I'm in town visiting family. Every time I've been here the food has been awesome. Had the elk once & although it was a touch dry the flavor was outstanding. Also had the veal shank which was spot on delicious. I normally try something different every time so I'm really looking forward to working my way through the menu. Also the pizzas are really good. Cooked outside on a real pizza oven. So if you get the chance by all means stop in have a really good German beer & have some of the best German food outside of Deutschland.

Awesome atmosphere! Food is delish! Huge portions. I had the seafood Alfredo. Tons of lobster, scallops and shrimp. I will for sure be back.

Love this place. It's my go-to when I'm visiting friends in Spartanburg. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped pheasant and red cabbage. Also, the prosciutto starter with truffle oil and Parmesan is absolutely divine.

Had high expectations given the reviews I read carefully before choosing this as a quiet dinner spot after a long day of business travel. I always look forward to a quiet fine dining experience after a stressful day. I arrived at 8 pm (the dining room is supposed to close at 10). The first impression was not good as upon arrival there was no host/hostess at the desk. After looking for someone in the pub section of the restaurant, a wait person told me someone would be coming. About 5 minutes later another person came and asked me if I would mind sitting in the pub because they had just turned off the AC in the dining room. I asked if anyone was left there and he said there were but they were finishing up. I told him I had planned to eat in the dining room vs. the pub. He added he could turn it back on if I was going to be upset so rather than pushing the issue I went to the pub where you can order the same fare. Nothing wrong with the pub, just if you are looking forward to a fine dining experience, this is not it. Had I known I'd be eating to the sounds of classic rock with TVs on the wall I'd have gone elsewhere. I peeked in the dining room and it is really beautiful. Disappointed I didn't get to experience it. Likewise disappointed with the spaetzle. It's one of my favorites yet it was dried out, a little crunchy in places, and not hot when they brought it out. On a positive note, the elk and red cabbage was very good. All in all, the spaetzle and the lacking customer service is the main reason for 2 stars.

Amazing place! Loved every minute of it. Feels like walking into an Austrian restaurant and the staff are wonderful. The price is definitely worth the service and food you receive. The portions are hearty and beautifully presented. Trivia on Tuesdays are so much fun!

A friend suggested I try this place and I'm so glad I did. I stopped in to speak with the owner who was out and I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. Although I have not tried the food it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and the bartenders Amanda and Whitney were such a pleasure! The menu is very interesting and I will be back to try it out!!!

Been in the area for years and it seems I only get to the restaurant every couple of years. Had the opportunity to eat there twice in the last couple of months due to a couple of friend's birthdays. Yes, its a little pricey, but has a GREAT atmosphere. The food is phenomenal and the staff is jovial and helpful. It was amazing to see how they kept track of my check between the bar and the party when I was never in the the same seat twice. I'll be back.

I feel let down by this restaurant. My husband and I just left because it is nothing even remotely close to what they advertise on their website. Today is my anniversary and my husband made reservations for 6:30. We knew that we could show up in casual clothing but we didn't realize that the place was laid out like a pub. When we entered the parking lot, it was really hard to find a parking space because there are very few street lamps in the parking lot. We had to park several rows over from the restaurant just because that was the only spot that was visible by the tiny bit of light that was given off by the puny street lamp that calls that lot home. When we entered the restaurant we were hit with an odd smell. I know Austrian food and I'm sorry, but there is no excuse for that smell...Cabbage doesnt even smell that bad! The hostess up front asked if we had a reservation. We told her the time and she said she would show us to our table. We had a hard time moving through the bar area. We realized that this place is nothing like what is advertised on their website as soon as we heard the music that was playing and were bumping into people and having to yell at each other at a dark table. We litterally could not read the menus because of how dark it was in there. After 5 minutes in the dark we were not acknowledged by anyone so we got up and left. I'm not happy because now we have to go find somewhere else to go for our anniversary this late at night and on such short notice. Total letdown.

This place has become my favorite place to eat at on an annual hunting trip to the area. It is located in a strip-mall/storefront building, but don't be deceived - once you step inside you feel as if you've stepped back in time and are somewhere in Germany. The floor, walls, and ceiling are covered with what seem to be authentic relics from another time and place. This can be a very busy place and is most definitely not the place for an intimate meal - it can be very loud/bar-like during peak hours, but for me it just adds to the feel of the place. The only odd thing I would say about the place is their seating policy. You basically are left to fend for yourself and are told to have a seat anywhere you'd like. It sounds like a simple task, but during peak hours it can be a task. At times I have felt like a gladiator in a dual for a table. The food is amazing. You can get many traditional German items and they have a nice selection of wild game to choose from as well. Of all the times I've been here I've never had anything but a great experience.

all my local co-workers raved about this place. I don't think so; But I was the only one to have the tuna steak; with some Asian slaw; too spicy ( and I usually like spicy) that hurt the tuna, and i couldn't even eat the slaw Bananas foster for desert, well last night they missed the banana boat, cold waffles, cold banana. My co-worker who also had the same dessert, agreed that dessert did not have it last night

I didn't really know what to expect when I got here as I had never been to a restaurant like it before. It turned out to be a really good experience. I arrived for reservations at 6:30 but my friend wasn't there yet. I asked if it would be any problem to have a seat at the bar and wait and they said none whatsoever. The bar prices seemed reasonable and they have a very large selection of beers to choose from. After my friend arrived we got our table with no waiting at all. There was a little confusion on who was our server at first but after a few minutes it was sorted out. At one time we had 3 people waiting on us. I had the wild boar. It was excellent. The portion was perfect, not too big, not too small and the mushroom sauce was very tasty. It comes with mashed potatoes and onion straws and though I would have liked to be a little more adventurous with my food I found them to be more than adequate. The price was a little steep ($32 for wild board, $22 for shrimp and grits among others) but the food did a good job of compensating for it. Overall a good time and I do plan to be back.

The food and service is always great here! I only get here about once a year, but I have never been disappointed. I am not a big fan of German food, but the menu is extensive and I can always find something that appeals to me. It will stay on my list.

Heard from several people that Gerhard's was the place to check out for dinner. The initial problem with Gerhard's is that the menu has several great sounding dishes on there and a short business trip is not enough time to sample all the great things listed there. I ended up having the New Zealand Venison with Red Cabbage along with the house salad. The house salad was a mixture of several vegetable side dishes. The white cabbage, cucumbers, and tomato-onion mixture was great. Nice crisp vinegar flavor without overly acidic bites. The onions were sweet and paired well with the tomato making a nice counter-melody to the white cabbage and vinegar potatoes. The venison was lean and braised to increased the tenderness increase flavor. Sauce was thick and hearty with a warm, rich, velvety texture. This was some of the best venison I have eaten. There were no chunks of gristle or chewy portions. Desert was a nice coconut pie. Crust was flaky with a dense filing of coconut and served with some fresh whipped cream. While dense the coconut filling was not overly sweet or cloying as some pies tend to be. Instead the coconut flavor was clean with a hint of a nutty roasted quality. Overall great meal, friendly staff, and many interesting items on the menu. If in the area it is a must to eat at Gerhard's.

I Went to Gerhard's Cafe Last time I was in the are based on review here in Yelp. I eat at plenty of restaurants due to the amount of travel that I do and I have to say, that I was impressed! For dinner I had the Wild Boar, which was a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. If you've never had Boar before it's like the best pork you've ever tasted, cooked to perfect order.. At least at Gerhard's it was. I'll be stopping at Gerhards my time I'm in town.

Incudes a German restaurant, a unique pizzeria, and an open air bar. Great food. Friendly staff. Clean environment. A little expensive but worth it. Poker tournament on Monday nights at 8 in an open air bar. The only negative I can mention is the location. It is in a strip mall but for this place that can be forgiven. I just have something against strip malls in general but, hey, they are a reality.
