1PM late lunch on a Sunday, not crowded at all, seated immediately. Young, yet very courteous wait staff. Basically ran through a tasting menu of all the recommended choices. The Maryland Crab Pretzel is the signature appy, our server said they sell more of that than anything else. I can see why- very unique flavor, and a don't miss. We had the fried green tomatoes as well, with the jalapeno pimento cheese spread on the side just in case. No need, not spicy hot at all, but also not remarkable. Had the Doug Hollow burger, and one with grilled chicken- both fine. The mac and cheese side was as advertised, very tasty. Almond crusted chicken rounded out the meal for our table. Nice views of the lake from all sides, I'd recommend the experience here, if you find yourself at Lake Keowee.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. How could you go wrong with sides like cheddar cheese grits and Havarti Mac and cheese? Very friendly staff and solid priced and selection on their wine. Fresh fish specials are great. I enjoy that you can boat here as well as drive. I will be a regular!

Beautiful view. But out of our 5 times here, service has just been ok. The younger staff at the boat cabana is awesome. However, the older lady w blonde hair w the sour puss face & bad attitude waitress at the Lighthouse should be fired! She told us "no, you can't make substitutions" to all 10 of us for minor changes (can I get that grilled instead of fried?). She had a BAD attitude & was down right RUDE! What restaurant says "no"??? Successful businesses say "sure let me check with the cook to see what we can do!" Menu needs revamped to lighter options and wait staff needs better training. Horrible does not even explain our experience with that mean waitress. BUT again the younger staff is great and the view is amazing.

Food has gone downhill also nothing like waiting for a table for 20 min then having a stumbling Elmer Fudd come in demand a table and yell for Mark to do so .... He bumped him, So we wait even longer....Along with other patrons. No apology or explanation from staff...just deer in headlights looks. Slow slow service on top of it. Didn't express displeasure cause I wanted to eat and leave. I'll be scheduling work lunch meetings and taking my family elsewhere.!!!

Good food. A little pricey but worth it! We ordered bbq quesadillas for our appetizer. They were really good! I ordered ribs with fries and red mashed potatoes and salad. All were good. My fiancée got the chicken waffles (I'm not into trying that so I didn't. But he said it was good). I was a little curious that every other table got a basket with cornbread and butter and we did not get it or were offered it. I guess they forgot to bring it to us.

We were taken there for lunch. While the view was very nice, the food was mediocre. The dishes that were at the table when we first sat down were dirty. I had the fried lobster ravioli and the only tasty part of the dish was the cream sauce. The filling didn't taste like lobster at all. The ravioli was tough and had something over it which was dark and hard. I also had a side of fried okra which was terrible. There was hardly any breading on the okra and the okra was hard. My husband had the chicken salad on croissant which was supposed to have pecans but he couldn't taste the pecans. Also, they don't say there's mayonnaise in the dish. They describe the chicken salad as having "dressing." The waitress was condescending. She made a snide remark because I was ordering from the appetizer section and not the regular section of the menu.

I've gone here twice for lunch. Beautiful view while eating a light meal and having great conversation. The food I've had is good. The fried ravioli appetizer was perfect. It has balsamic vinegar on it so it adds a "tang". If you don't like that it still tastes good without the vinegar drizzle. I had the shrimp Caesar salad on my first visit and the crab bisque soup. The soup was really good. The salad was just a salad. This time I had the Flounder sandwich and fried okra. It was just okay. The fish was fried a little too hard and the hoagie bun it comes on is really flaky so it was sort of a crummy mess. Had I been at a more formal lunch meeting I would have been a bit embarrassed by the amount of crumbs falling every where. The food is good, but go for the view and the service. Both times we had excellent service!

I had the shrimp and grits.... Stone ground grits, cheddar cheese, with Andouille-Tomato gravy scallions and sauteed shrimp. Honestly better than I expected. Quite a good meal. So here we are in the country near a lake with a really decent restaurant. Not bad! The place is on Lake Keowee so the views are nice. We went at night so the views were hidden... I would go back.

We heard of the Lighthouse through a business associate and gave it a try. The place is brand new and looks extremely good. There is a four sided fireplace in the center (not in use in July, thank goodness) and all of the tables have a window view of Lake Keowee. The food and service was excellent! We had the Chesapeake Crab Bisque, side salads, Ginger-Teriyaki Salmon, the Lighthouse Pasta and finished with the Creme Brulee. That was really too much but we wanted to try everything. It was impressive.

The Lighthouse Restuarunt offers many great options in a dinning experience. From the actual restuarunt to the Cabana Private Club and the huge event center that is all accessible by boat on Lake Keowee. With great views all around and a great atmosphere to go along with the many delicious dishes. Staff is very friendly and is always looking to make the experience the best possible.

Took the boat here, easy in and out dock for the boat. The food at the Tiki Hut was not very good.. We had the hamburger and it was very dry and no flavor the chicken quesadilla was better. They also were mowing the grass and spreading gravel creating dust everywhere, not a pleasant outside lunch atmosphere.

This was a good restaurant. Other folks have recommended reservations but 3 of us were able to get a booth with no wait. There was a function happening upstairs and a meeting in the event center, but none of that affected our meal - other than parking being tight. We were able to park on the grass. I had a good spring greens salad with blackened salmon. Pretty good. Server was attentive and forthcoming about the better wine to choose. Nice breadbasket with drinks, and the cornbread was great. I went there with my parents and it's that kind of place. A good place to go with your parents. Everybody's happy. I don't know why it's called the lighthouse, it's really far inland. Oh well.

First time here since moving to the area. Wow. Wonderful dinner. Had the stuffed flounder. Totally recommend it. Will definitely make this place a regular stop. Wish I had room for dessert. Tonight's special was bananas foster.

Really nice to have another choice on Lake Keowee to dine at. The restaurant is brand new and has wonderful atomosphere, Love that we can go by boat or car. The wait staff is still learning and should get better with time. It does not appear that they know or are exposed to the daily specials. The menu was good and the food cooked very well. I would say that they will continue to be more consistant and get better with time. Beautiful views of the lake.

First TIP - Make a reservation! Seriously, it will save you two hours. I did and I still waited for 20 minutes. The view is amazing. The food and the service need help. Our server was also bar tending with two other people. Two of the four at our table did not get offered / receive a second drink. I had Blue Ridge Trout. Skin was still on the trout and it was smothered in what seemed like mushroom gravy (think Campbell). If there was supposed to be any lobster - there was not. My husband had the Almond Crusted Chicken and he admitted he would not have it again. My dad had the baby back ribs - and he would not have it again. It was VERY loud - at a table of four - you had to almost yell across the table to talk to someone. Possibly very expensive for no reason. Perhaps they had a bad night.

I travel every week for business and have never walked out of a restaurant before tonight without eating. The service was non-existent. We were seated at the bar while waiting on a reserved table. The small bar was about 1/2 full and it took the bartender about 15 minutes to even acknowledge that we were there. We would have waved him down but that shouldn't be necessary if he is doing his job correctly. We were seated at our outside table on time. Over the next 15 minutes many serving staff passed by us without even saying hello or asking if we'd been served. Only after we went back to the hostess, did the server appear. Cannot comment on the food since we didn't make it that far. We don't need to drive 30 minutes to be ignored. No thanks.

I have just had my first and last visit to Lighthouse Lake Keowee. We were politely seated, brought silverware and bread plates. Ordered a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay and mahi-mahi. Some minutes later the waitress returned and informed they were out of mahi. Tried for the trout...out of trout. Finally ordered salmon . Some minutes later, the waitress returned and informed they were out of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. Who runs out of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay at a "fine" restaurant. Had to make an alternate selection again. Halfway thru the meal, I asked the waitress, "Why are the bread plates on the table?" She said, "Oh I forgot to bring your bread!" For $90.00, I won't be going back with that kind of service. The manager/owner visited every table around us and never came to our table. Hummmm. How does a business fail? One customer at a time.

Great place with a very laid back feel with a big fireplace in the center. The menu offers a pretty wide range Shrip N' grits, burgers , seafood, steak, chicken and all of these are cooked very well. Small little bar for the drinkers out there.

I am really hoping this place can turn around because I love the Lake and there are already limited options available. I have eaten there about 5 times. Each time was worse than the last. The servers (while very nice) just seem overwhelmed. Drinks take forever to get to the table and the servers disappear for long periods before they take your food order. The menu is way too long and everything is fried. Even while we were waiting for our table I attempted to get a drink at the bar - but the Bartenders just ignored 4-5 people standing and waiting to place a drink order while they filled up the lime and juice containers. Again - I hope they can get it together - but right now I say No Thank you!

We have had several dinners at the Lighthouse. Each dinner was great! It is very attractive and every one that has waited on us has been top notch.

A real gem on Lake Keowee! Go by boat or car. Great food and service, huge fireplace, nice bar with purse/hat hooks under the bar top, beautiful views of the lake and mountains. There is also a cabana bar and event center. We love this place!!
