It's a cute little diner with better burgers than the local Mcdonalds. The staff is unbelievably polite and they all work hard to give you a nice experience.

Bring your own condiments! I love the burgers and fries but these folks use the worst tasting ketchup, mustard and mayo I've ever choked on. Yuk!

Been to this location several times and always had very poor service. Tables are rarely cleaned and food takes forever to be delivered. Food quality is as expected- fast food to order.

Food was really good but the service was terrible. Rude staff, waitress took our order and some other runners brought the food out. Waitress never came back to check on us or refill drinks. Wanted to get some shakes after eating so I walked up to the counter to ask for a menu. Another waitress walked past me twice but would not even make eye contact. I was like two feet from her, so the second time I just went back to my table to write this review.

Hamburgers are the best "fast food" burgers I've had on a long time. The place was clean and cute - you can tell by the name that it is done in the 50s motif. They have booths, and you can sit at the counter just like back in the 50s. They were pretty busy when we got there but the waitress got to us right away. Their menu isn't huge, but it has a good selection. When asked, the waitress recommended three different sandwiches. We tried to two of the recommendations and they were spot on. Great food! The place is kid friendly, the wait staff is very friendly and fast. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very good food & ice cream. The only complaint I have, we've got the same waiter both times. He has had the worst body odor ever. He was nice, but the smell almost made you want to leave.

Love the burgers and shakes. Lots of topping options. The kids meals come out in cute little car trays that they can decorate with stickers and take home. The servers are always prompt and friendly. Fun atmosphere.

I just love this place!! The decor is so fun and its a great family place to dine in. They have awesome diner food and I never leave unhappy or not completely stuffed to the gills with food! Great price for lots of food. A hidden little gem.

Tried it bc i purchased a groupon. Excellent wings, could of used a bit more sauce but love how they fry then grill the wings. Fried pickles were what you'd expect, wish they had a special tangy dipping sauce besides ranch. Great sweet tea. Excellent staff. Good prices.

I gotta admit, I was skeptical, but the burgers at HWY 55 are legit. The BBQ bacon burger -- thumbs up. Frozen treats are good, too. Only three stars because we've been twice and the service was shoddy one time. Hoping for a third outing soon.

This place has extremely good hamburgers among the best I've ever eaten. The waitresses are some of the friendliest in the fast food industry. Fresh squeezed lemonade is to die for.also it's going well lit just a great place! If you like burgers you should come here... highly recommended!

This is not a five star restaurant; but it is a five star hamburger and ice cream place. Service was extroidinary. Prices were reasonable. Burgers were tasty, as were the onion rings. Chill cheeseburger made so I could eat it and not wear it. Period soda shop decor. Kind of expected Fonzie and Richie to show up. Good place for a date night.

First I was struck by the warm friendly greeting and then the friendly service. I brought my family and the kids loved the food and atmosphere. I recommend the burgers and cheese steaks! The menu is wide enough for everyone and reasonably priced. We will be making this a regular stop four us!

It's not that the food is bad it was ok! Really just ok... It's like eating at a sit down sonic with slightly better food. The shake was the best part of the meal by far, the Po Boy bun was a tad soggy. The worst part of the meal was the chili cheese fries, that had no chili and the cheese was way to over powering. A disgusting nacho cheese, and I know this is a tad nitpicking but I like some substance to my chili add some beans, but I'm from Ohio. I did have the gravy fries the first time I went to HWY 55 and those were awesome the burger I had wasn't that bad either. All and all I like this place and can see my self coming back.

For the prices, portions and service, I think it's 5 star worthy. I wasn't going in expecting much, but the food is good and the service is great. Pretty commendable given most of the staff looks high school age. I'll be back.
