The food here is pretty decent for a chain restaurant, and since it's a walk away from home it goes at the top for convenience of location. The low rating is due to the lack of quality of the service. I have never been here (even occasionally by myself) where I have been able to get my food in under half an hour. I'm never parched for water, but after crossfit waiting (sometimes for up to an hour )and then getting your food and it's wrong really just makes a person hangry.

Good food and reasonable prices. The chicken wings are naked which helps my celiac wife.

Don't bother. This is the 2nd time I have been here and it was worst than the first. I found the food to be flavorless and overcooked as well as dripping with oil and grease. The atmosphere looks nice but is actually very cold. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge and employees all look like they are lost.

Wish I could go less than 1 star...food was good and our waitress was fine. The kicker here is that we had to wait over an hour from the time we were seated until we received our food. We were busy counting the number of tables that were seated after us that had already received their food. The "owner /operator" was called to the table behind us and the people there were complaining about how long it was taking. He told them their target was 20 minutes but tonight they were closer to 30. When he came around again, I stopped him and asked him if he could figure out where our food was. I showed him the receipt from the bar where we had ordered drinks while we waited for a table. I closed our tab when we were seated. He agreed that it had been over an hour after he woefully tried to explain that some orders take longer than others. Shortly after he left our food arrived but he never came back to offer an explanation or apologize even though our waitress did wholeheartedly. As we left I saw the "owner /operator at the podium near the entrance and stopped to tell him how much I appreciated him coming back to explain what had happened. He responded "Sure. You're Welcome." He had no idea who I even was. He could have given a flying flip. That's cool though. I won't be back and I'll make sure everyone I know hears this story. Hats off to the waitresses there. Hate they're working for such a jerk.

Had a reservation for party of nine. We were seated and served promptly. Menu had lots of options, typical American fare. We ordered everything from steak, seafood to pasta. Appetizer choices are not to be missed. I highly recommend the crab dip. All the entrees were excellent, fried Tilapia just average. One steak was cooked medium rather than medium well. We sent it back. Manager personally brought it to the table to make sure we were satisfied. Waitress was excellent. Staff seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. They functioned well as a team. I highly suggest any of the sides. The cheese mashed potatoes and reds are the best. Finished the meal with Alaska Pizza for dessert. Left full and satisfied. We will return.

Not bad. The food was okay but it took a while to get our food. Usually thats not a problem but with two young kids when the wait is extra long it becomes a nightmare. For the money you spend I would go to a Bin 112 or 104 just my opinion.

Good burgers and fries, fair prices, okay decor... Our service was really good, but overall, the meal wasn't anything special. We stopped for a quick lunch while traveling. Hubs got the biggest burger on the menu, I had a wrap. The wrap was slightly under seasoned. My side- a sweet potato- had an odd flavor. All in all, just okay.

Holy Cow slow slow slow the waitress was great but the service is so slow. They told us 45 mins when we got there ended up being almost 90 mins. The manager took a party of thirty on a Saturday night. We got there at 6:00 I asked them why the whole side was open told me there was a party of 30. The people were still coming for the party at 8:30. I am sorry they held up all those tables for that long where people were walking out because of the waiting time. They should have not seated them until the whole party was there. I have come here many times since I live so close by. I'm so pissed I will not be coming back!

I love Copper River and we recently started going to the Greer location. I got the BBQ nachos to go and they are always always so yummy (but really easy to make at home) but my last order will truly be my last. The order had multiple burnt nachos (tasted like burnt popcorn) and the chicken had very minimal sauce so it really just tasted like cheesy chicken and burnt popcorn. :(

Got a free dinner from a vendor. Aesthetically, the inside is dark but still welcoming. Dark woods surround the entire, cavernous restaurant while high ceilings make the large dining area seem even larger. I had the caesar salad and the baby backs. The caesar was good, somewhat creamy dressing along with a croissant-type bread with a sweet topping drizzled over the top - both were good. The baby backs were *almost* fall off the bone, the meat kinda smoky and the sauce a was a little tangy and good. All in all, a good, filling meal that made the belly happy. And.....with no impact to the wallet!!!! Ya feel me?

I hate to give a bad review to any restaurant. I was in the food and beverage industry for eight years. However, I took pride in my work and the service we had was terrible. We sat at the bar to avoid the wait. The bar was dirty and we had to wait a while before the bartender noticed we were there. The food and portions were great but the whole service we were trying to get this dude's attention or wondering what he was doing. I can forgive a server in the weeds, but this dude was just standing at the other end of the bar shooting the breeze with other customers. Maybe he assumed they would be bigger tippers. For shame bartender and management! This bar is too big for one bartender, especially this one.

First time at this placed I order at 4;30PM on Friday 2/6/2015. Server very friendly. Finished my salad. Then about 15 minutes later a cook came to my table and said " I've got some bad news' all the prime rib was cooked to long and is very well done. I ordered the prime med. rare. I was very disappointed. At this point I did not want to order anything else' But, I was still charged for my salad and drink. Nice way for a restaurant to say that they were sorry, only after the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Really, really liked the food here! Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Maybe I just got lucky, but this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Can't wait to come here again. I hope I will receive the same quality of meal! Perfect dining experience.

We dined at Copper River Grill on Friday 27 February while visiting my parents who live in Taylors, SC. They had been to Copper River previously and were excite to take my wife, daughter and I there to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We called ahead for seating, and it's a good thing we did as there was an hour wait for people who had not called ahead - even at 8pm! We only had to wait about 10 minutes and used that time to grab some drinks at the bar. First impression of the restaurant was a good one. It's a very open-air atmosphere. And even though smoking is permitted it was not obvious that was the case (something I always check on when we have our 3-yr old with us). Our server was Chris, and he did a pretty good job with our table. Nothing on the wine list really caught our attention so we stuck with beer. The salads were all delicious - very fresh as the previous reviewer stated. The house dressing (honey mustard with bacon) is a must! The salads are also served with croissants covered in honey - different, but tasty albeit a bit sticky. My dad and I had the fish special of the day which was blackened Mahi Mahi. My dad liked it more than I, but I did enjoy it. I was expecting more spice and flavor based on Chris's description when he told us about it. The baked potato I had as a side was quite good. My mom had the Hickory Salmon which she said was excellent. My wife had the ribs, which she said were good but not the best she's had (There's a place by us in the DC area called Sweetwater Tavern that has the BEST ribs!). Our daughter ordered the Grilled Cheese with French fries which didn't come out until 20 minutes after the rest of our meals - my only real complaint about the experience. Fortunately, she doesn't eat much as it is and was able to much on the other things on the table. The portions were all very large, and we left with 2 to-go boxes much like everyone else we saw! We were all too stuffed to even consider a "table-sized" dessert. Bottom line: Copper River is a great place for a family meal. Good food in a casual atmosphere with pleasant service. I highly recommend calling ahead for seating - especially on weekends.

The family and I went here on Friday night. They don"t take reservations but the cool thing is that you can call ahead when you are on your way and get your name on the list (Dad did it and there was no wait)! YAY for short waits! The restaurant is big and has a super high ceiling so it can get loud in there, but not as noisy as the Greenville one according to my Dad. You should listen to him, he knows a lot. BIG SAVER! My Dad ordered a couple of bottle beers at the bar for our 1 minute wait. Yep, Dad needs his brew. Well, he learned that the draft beers are always super cheap at 1.50 for a 16 ounce pour vs 3+ for a bottle. Savings like that are note worthy! For dinner we ordered different stuff: Tuna sandwich for Mom, stuffed flounder for Dad, and I got the friend shrimp. Mom pulled her tuna off the bun because "Its a shame to smother such a nice piece of tuna with bread". Dad cleaned his plate in no time because it was so good! I had the fried shrimp which boasted 12 shrimp. It sure looked like more because they ARE big yummy shrimp! I counted to make sure it wasn't 14 or something. My entree came with a salad but I don;t know how i could fit one in my stomach with my loaded mashed potatoes and shrimp. Luckily Mom ate it for me. We arranged this in advance. Basically you get a LOT of food. The salads are huge! Portions are grand! Our server was Red. You should ask for him. Not only is his name easy to remember, but he did a great job! Good personality and not too bothersome but quick on the refills and invisible plate clearing. The manager stopped by a few times and literally charmed the pants off us! (It got embarrassing explaining why my parents were dressed like lady gaga.) Seriously, he had good suggestions for next time based on what we ordered, he was very friendly but not intrusive or annoying. I can;t give it 5 stars for some unknown reason. Maybe its because I'm usually anti-chain restaurant? Is it the black toilets (hate 'em)? I don't know but I just can't do it. Maybe a monster dessert would have swayed the vote but I was too full. And Dad wouldn't share because it will make him fat.

Food was ok, but not for the price. Also beware that if you want your child to drink something other than soda it's a whopping $2.50 per glass!! Ridiculous!!

This restaurant has lot's of potential but the menu while tasty is unimaginative. I've dined here a few times and usually the service and staff are rather efficient and pleasant. One big turnoff is that the chefs or managers loudly calling out orders and directions in the kitchen area are disruptive to what could be a pleasant dining environment. Try and get a seat on the far end of the restaurant. Otherwise its an okay place to catch a bite and the prices are pretty decent too.

I really, really wanted to give this place 5 stars just because the quality of the food (especially my 11oz Sirloin Steak) but I just couldn't. Not because of the food quality, it was really good, the salads were very fresh and the food came out perfect to order. Not because of the service, we had excellent service even when the place was slam packed. The only reason I had to lower it to 4 stars is because really, in my opinion the menu was a little boring. But, that doesn't make it bad, they may not have a huge menu full of eye widening selections but what they do make, they make really well! The portions are large as well, so go hungry! And for desert, don't miss out on their "table size" sweets! Seriously, we split it between a table of 4 (which would really be like a table of 6 with our appetites), and it was still more than enough!

Is it just me, or does the place really smell like bacon grease. Some people may find that appealing, but once was enough for me.

Good Food. Great Atmosphere. Nice Staff. The Copper RIver New York Special Steak was cooked perfectly. Crab Stuffed Tilapia was good and the Hickory Fired Salmon is something special.
