Fridays they have brisket that is wonderful!! Love their ribs and their sauces. The BBQ is served kind of like a meat and two/three and the sides are the typical staple BBQ sides. They have some indoor seating and outdoor seating with an awning. They've won some awards at a few different BBQ competitions, including ones outside of the Carolinas.

For a BBQ fan this place is the definition of what you look for. Small, inconspicuous, off the beaten path with the best indication you found it being a little smoke trail leading from the heavens down to the cooker sitting where all great BBQ comes from which outside beside a smokehouse and a wood pile. The food here is great, the service is even better and the atmosphere is fitting for the desired experience. I will be back! You should join me.

My go to place for a wonderful smokey flavor of slow pit cook meats! I love the hash... Awesome. They may be small but they have big flavor!!

Great BBQ. A gem. More seating outside than inside. Smokehouse is right next to the restaurant so the scent draws you in. Pulled pork was nice & smoky. Can't wait to try ribs or brisket next time.

I have lived here for 18 years and have tried all the BBQ in the area. This is the best shop in town by far. Go try some. All the sides are great as well

We're BBQ snobs, I'll admit. We've been known to drive 2 hours or more for really good BBQ, but now we just drive 3 miles and get great food every time! The aroma of smoked meat grabs you as soon as you open your car door. You begin to salivate, and anticipation of that first bite builds. The chopped pork is off the chain, and the baked beans are divine! This is just a little place, so if you don't get there early, you might not get what you want, which, it turns out, isn't a bad thing. If they're out of the brisket, try the chopped pork. It has just the right amount of 'bark'. We love the sweet potato casserole and the cole slaw, too. The portions are just right. There is no table service - your meal is handed to you at the counter when your order it, and drinks are self-serve. Casual and comfortable is what you want when you're eating BBQ. I've never been disappointed at Bare Bonz.

It's disappointing that they're out of some menu items sometimes, but the brisket is awesome when they have it. Typically, good bbq joints have subpar sides, but all of the sides here are great.

A "hole-in-the-wall" type small restaurant with the best restaurant BBQ in the Lakelands! We eat there AT LEAST once a week!

I've only been here twice, but the food is quite good. Not much room in the dining room, but they have picnic tables outside.
