Went here not having high expectations, but the atmosphere was nice, food and service was great. I highly recommend anyone in the area to give it a shot.

Met a client here for dinner. Very conveniently located off the interstate. The waitress brought all the correct beverages to the table but gave each of us someone else's beverage. No big deal it happens. We placed our order and wait. And waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. There were only 4 in our party and no one had ordered anything that requires grilling etc. It took 45 minutes for our meals to arrive at our table. It is for this reason along with a general countenance of displeasure I encountered among every staff member I came in contact with that I had to deduct two stars. I was also disappointed to learn they do not make their salad dressings in house. But the Calabash Chicken is ON POINT! For those who may not know, Calabash is a technique used to fry protein that uses a buttermilk bath and fine cornmeal coating prior to frying -- if you have never tried it, do yourself a FLAVOR! Fatz has perfected the art of Calabash.

Today was our visit to this Fatz. The food was on par (if not better) than most Fatz restaurants I've been to. The staff was friendly, but the service was a little questionable. I had the Fatz Cobb salad with the bacon vinegrette and it was fantastic. The bacon vinegrette made the salad though. I highly recommend it. My husband had the calabash combo (fried chicken and popcorn shrimp). The calabash chicken is consistently good at Fatz. The shrimp was pretty good as well. We had an overall good experience here.

I've been to few Fatz cafe in north Carolina to south Carolina. Nothing extravagant on the food, it's something you would find in most restaurants. The only thing I look for when I go to Fatz restaurant are the service's. This time I decided to do a Togo order at Fatz. Normally Fatz staff are pretty good with greeting their customers coming in. Always a smile and always seeing what they could help me with. Well in this location here.....that's not the case. It was 9pm on a Tuesday and it didn't look busy. When I walked in I did saw two waiter conversing , kind of looked at me and carried on. I decided to wait 5 more minute just in case the host maybe in the back or one of the waiters saw me and was going to call on the host to come to the front to take my orders.....well......that didn't happen . I HAD TO WALK TO THE BAR. Just get get my orders placed. Not what I expect from a Fatz restaurant. I hope that tonight was just one of those nights where the staff didn't feel like helping or maybe because it's near closing time and they just got lazy. I'll be sure to stop by here again next time to see if the service's is different. Until then, I'm giving this place a two.

Awesome. We stopped at the Clinton, SC store and received the best, friendliest service from Michelle. Not only did she know all about the menu, history of Fatz but also knowledgeable about the area. What a pleasure for a change to meet someone who loves the job and the product she is selling. We travel all over the US and we fell in love with Michelle and we will visit any Fatz on our way.

The chicken in my pasta had soured - it was rubbery and grey - so I sent it back and the bartender and manager rolled their eyes, and made rude comments about me two feet away from me. I was not rude in giving the food back; just simply pointed out the chicken and said thanks but I wouldn't order anything else. My friend continued to eat his meal and we kept the appetizer - there wasn't a problem as far as I was concerned - sour food happens - but apparently they found a reason to make fun of me. This was not the kind of customer service I would expect from a manager, especially right in front of the customer. I certainly won't return here, nor will any of my business associates.

If you like Applebees, you'll love Fatz. Just your basic American food chain--nothing awful, nothing special, nothing remotely healthy. I enjoyed the rolls they brought until I realized that they were really just doughnuts masked as rolls. Sure they were tasty, but I have a feeling I'll be paying for it later. Service was--much like the food--not great, but not abysmal enough to complain.
