Excellent food, excellent service. Had a"medium" pizza that was huge. The chocolate cake was the perfect ending for a great Italian dinner. Very reasonable prices as well. I never knew Aiken had such good Italian food.

The service here was great and I loved the garlic knots which come complimentary before your meal. I wasn't a fan of the pasta in vodka dish I ordered - it was strangely sweet and had an odd pink color to it - but I'd go back to try something else.

I went to this place on a Friday evening. The sign on the door sad reservations are encouraged; the place was more than half empty. When the server, Angie showed up, which took longer than it should have, she smelled so bad of cigarette smoke we considered not staying. There is no Greek salad on the menu but they will add feta to there house salad, however its clear the feta they use is not even the quality I would buy from a local grocery store - very disappointed. For being remodeled and recently reopened, the bathrooms were dirty and needed some quality attention. The food was average, Stromboli and the house wine was over priced. They need to step up their game!!

I don't know what's up with the listing for this place but Roma Italian Restaurant is open, I ate there last night. I had a stromboli and some others had the buffalo chicken salad...both very good. Their marinara is actually very good, so I'll have to try another pizza there to see if they have improved any. They installed a new bar area but only have their beer and wine license right now. Other than that, the service was attentive and friendly, the prices reasonable and it was a pretty good meal.

Great place with variety - you can get an outstanding pizza ; but this is not a "pizza joint" - try out his other great dishes. Great food and service

Nice restaurant, great service. The food is OK. Had a pizza that was authentic but too much sauce and not enough cheese. Still a good place.

Stopped in last Friday night ordered a large cheese half pepperoni and half sausage. Waited almost an hour for the food to come out then it came out completely wrong it had sausage and onions on it. I asked if they would discount it because I didn't want to wait another hour . The waiter said no and "you don't have to tip me if you don't want to" I was furious, first off I know it is not his fault so why even go there, secondly he could have asked the owner instead what did they do with it? They had to cook another one 20 minutes later. Not going back.....

Stopped in last Friday to give the place a try and the food was phenomenal!! Tried the lasagna, chicken Marsala, and chicken parmesan... All excellent, also had the fried mushrooms and Tiramisu. Highly recommend to anyone craving Italian! Next time, we're going to sample the pizza.

I Love Roma ! The restaurant has a nice Italian ambience inside for a strip-mall establishment. Food is priced to allow you to purchase multiple entrees at very reasonable prices. The take-home/take-hotel packaging was better than most. Today, 3-14-2012, I ordered the Manicotti and the Eggplant. I chose the house dressing on my included fresh salad. My female companion ordered the pepperoni pizza. I ate the left-overs minutes ago, so very pleased with this restaurant. The table rolls were very appreciated by my female companion.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
