Really like this quaint little spot and wonderful nostalgic atmosphere. Why not 5 stars like I hoped to give it? Way-too-much water in the juices. If they make them with water or any other liquid at all, that fact ought to be in the ingredients list. Until now, never had a "fresh juice" elsewhere made with anything other than all veggies and/or fruits. A disappointing juice experience.

Great area, Staff is super friendly, and ambience inside was killer - decorated with local art and playing good music. But it wasn't cliche ya dig? Mango H2O sans almonds was outstanding. Fresh and delicious. Vermont panini may have been one of the better breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Creamy eggs, REAL cheddar cheese very thinly sliced, and crusty delicious bread.

I love the juices here! I constantly find my self here getting the Refreshing Greens juice. My boyfriend also enjoys their ice coffee. After going here for just drinks about a dozen times, we finally tried their sandwiches. I got the Caprese panini. IT WAS AMAZING. The bread was perfect. Then it had mozzarella and a tomato basil walnut pesto. The flavor from the pesto was so fresh and it had a little crunch from the walnut. I would completely recommend this. My boyfriend got the Bad Boy panini and loved it. Let's just saying conversation was at minimum because we were too busy enjoying the flavors of our sandwiches.

This is exactly what a juice bar should be! Great, hip juices, espresso, charming, fun, and high-quality. I loved that the owners were working when I was there and that the patrons were nice folks to be around. The only little issue I have is the espressos are a loooong shot- a tad watery.

This is by far my favorite place in Providence! I am Benefit Juice Bar's #1 fan. When I am in Providence during the year, I am here probably 2-4 times a week. I don't know how I would survive Providence winters without this place as I am originally from LA and I NEED to have a juice fix sometimes. I know that it is pricey compared to some places in Providence but everything is such good quality and so good that it is totally worth it. Plus, being familiar with juice prices in LA, the prices are pretty normal. I love everything that I have tried on the menu, but I have a few favorites. The granola cereal with bananas, apples and almond milk is my absolute favorite! The granola is homemade and so yummy. I love the Green Susi juice as well as the Doctor juice. I love getting shots of ginger when I feel sick and the banana-nut muffins are to-die-for, especially when they are right out of the oven. I love the Mediterranean salad, and sometimes I get the Turkey Day sandwich but as a salad. The tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons is also incredible!!! Also, the coffee is great. The iced coffee at Benefit is my absolute favorite in the college hill area, and trust me I have tried many, many a cup of iced coffee at plenty of different places. In my opinion, its even better than Coffee Exchange - however, I love coffee basically anywhere I can get it. As a side not, Benefit Juice Bar has the BEST playlist ever! It adds to the already amazing ambiance. For some reason they play all my favorite retro-ish songs like Van Morrison, The Talking Heads, The Grateful Dead, James Taylor, etc. Hearing this amazing music makes me even happier whenever I am there! The staff is so friendly and helpful. I absolutely love the ambiance of Benefit Juice Bar. It is truly a haven for me in the winter and a my favorite place to study. And of course, during the spring and summer it is so lovely to be able to sit outside on a beautiful day. Benefit Juice Bar is a life-saver for me and I'm so excited to go back when I'm back in Providence in the fall!

I need to come again. I loved my first experience, but I was with colleagues, so I couldn't ogle as I normally do at juice bars. But the setting is awesome (Bob Marley! Art! Happiness!) and the food is delish. I had an Elvis and Priscilla sandwich (peanut butter and banana, apples and granola) and the chocoholic hot cocoa, which was SUPERB (coming from a raging chocoholic). My friend gave me a taste of his berry smoothie and it tasted like health and happiness. I think this is the kind of place that could be five-stars, but I need to go back and get a second opinion (from myself). Vibe time. I SHALL RETURN (mwahaha)

I order lunch here at least once a week. I've tired many things on the menu, all wonderful. But nothing beats the mediterranean salad. I add chicken to mine. It's packed with fresh lettuce, cucumbers, feta, roasted red peppers and olive bread croutons ( which are AMAZING) the balsamic dressing is creamy, the best I've ever had. This is the perfect place to go for anyone looking for breakfast or lunch. There is something for everyone.

Love this place! From their juices to their food and everything in between, Is delicious. I live up the street and this is my go to place. I even stop using my juicer at home because these juices are so much better. Very friendly staff and nice quiet atmosphere

'hmm....that tastes...really healthy, lol' - is probably the best description of the new special green susi drink, combining kale, cucumber, ginger, apple and a smattering of other anti-oxidant goodness. Off the record, the drink was not the most palatable, but I definitely felt more fortified than ever before. Tucked in a corner on Benefit street, I really liked the overall decor and the friendly staff. I came here for lunch with my friends and got some really wonderful tea (green dragon and white peach tea) with free hot water refills. My sandwich, the vegetarian banh mi was amazing!!! Panini with chunky peanut butter, sriracha sauce, cilantro and apple wedges was off the charts in terms of setting my taste buds on a roller coaster experience. Although I did wish the apple wedges were just a bit thinner. The chicken banh mi was decent, although tasted more like a twist on chicken salad sandwich and the sweet corn panini was also nice, but not earth shattering. Overall, this was a great find and definitely better than any local starbucks or DD. Food: 4 stars (5 for the veggie banh mi) Ambiance: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Price: 4 stars Originality: 5 stars

Cute little coffee/juice/lunch spot. Very clean restaurant with an open kitchen concept. No bathroom though. No dedicated parking either. Loses a star for no potty/parking. Good vibes abound here, as do yummy, local, no crap food! The menu includes: panini's, bfast sandwiches, soup, smoothies, juice, salad and coffee. Juice bar is UBER fresh! You get what you pay for though, meaning it's a little pricey but it's totally worth it. Food portions aren't huge, but not snack size either. The sandwiches are a little over priced for what they consist of and their size. Lose another star for excessively expensive panini's.

Really cute little place. Friendly service and low wait time. Free wifi. Loses a star because it's about 30% too expensive and has no bathroom.

Really nummy. I come here for my juice fix. The concoctions here are delicious and they always taste good and fresh. I usually get one of their specials when I stop in. I'm not sure if the lot behind them is a lot I'm supposed to park in. That being said, I can always find parking on the street close by. Sometimes they're busy and when that happens there isn't really a place to sit but usually I'm just stopping in to grab something and leave anyway. The only problem I have with this place is the price. Everything else about it is just great :) Last time I was in here my mother was upset that they didn't have fresh squeezed orange juice. Fresh squeezed orange juice is an old standby that all juice places should have so be warned.

I'm torn between 2 & 3 stars. I loved the kitschy decor and the neighborhood and could totally see myself sipping on coffee and enjoying a good book, but then again I couldn't because there's no bathroom. I didn't really like this place for a few reasons: 1) No bathrooms for customers. Really? I mean you have a cafe that serves up food and you don't have a bathroom for your paying customers? That's off putting. 2) Your prices are expensive. My egg sandwich was really tasty, but at $5-$6 the one piece of toast cut in half with some baked egg and a bit of ham didn't quite hit the spot. The sandwich was good, but I mean the size was extremely small. 3) I love that you offer smoothies and juices. The smoothies consistency was watery and sadly, pretty tasteless. I left somewhat satisfied, but by no means wowed or impressed.

Coffee is fair The expresso machine is so loud it's like the who cafe is in a construction zone: can't talk or even hear your music on headphones every time they make a coffee

  • Toby H.

Serving up creative smoothies and sandwiches with a smile. Why is it so many cafés / juice bars around tone have people behind the counter who do not understand the concept of good service? Pamela & Peter are quite lovely - and as a regular they always chat while making my sandwich of choice (chix baha) , juice (jazzy beet) or smoothie ( Nutty Monkey). Place has a great energy and the outside seating is perfect as benefit street is such a pretty spot.

  • Caitlin B.

Delicious, fresh food! I love their corn panini and all of their juices are amazing! The prices are a little on the higher side, but it's totally worth the splurge! must visit, and seriously.. have a corn panini!

I live very close by in the neighborhood and have probably walked by this location a million times and never stopped in to any of the establishments which have occupied this spot. Each time i've walked by since Benefit Juice has opened it's looked like it's got a steady flow of people coming and going so i figured i'd give it a shot... So, i finally stopped in for my first visit to Benefit Juice Bar & Cafe. Overall i'm pretty glad i did. I went with the Tree of Life Juice (Kale, Celery, and Apple) and for my breakfast sandwich i decided to go with The Benefit. The juice was great! I thought it might be a little to veggie-ish for me but the apple balanced it out quite nicely. It had just the right tang. As for the sandwich, it was a tad on the greasy side and the large dense piece of egg was dwarfed by the small slices of bread. I will say what really brings them up to 4 stars is the juice and the service. The people there are really friendly and you can tell they really appreciate the patronage. Give them a try!

I've bought into the trend for green smoothies and this place makes a tasty green powerhouse for 2 dollars less than wildflour! No complaints on this front. Cozy tables for 2 and magnetic scrabble on an old school fridge lend instant charm. Excellent friendly service, free wifi, and a tempting cafe menu means I'll be back soon :).

This cozy little hideaway on Benefit Street is a gem for breakfast. I haven't been for lunch but love it in the morning. Their coffee is top notch, they are friendly and warm, the banana muffins are to die for. They also make a killer breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, arugula and all sorts of yummy things wrapped up in good fresh bread, delicious. Fresh fruit and yogurt with granola is also a winning breakfast. Comfortable atmosphere and the good music and good people make it a real winner.

  • Mar R.

The folks who work there are warm and inviting and the food is delicious and the juices are all natural flavorful goodness! The ambiance is calm, refreshing and cozy. The only reason this doesn't get 4 stars is because its very small space and they don't have a bathroom. This isn't very disability friendly and just in general, at minimum somewhere to wash your hands or run to in case of emergency is necessary. They also have no wifi, so can't do any work here but i would definitely come in to read my book. Quite lovely.

This is a lovely, healthy alternative to a coffee shop. Benefit Juice Bar offers a number of juices, smoothies, sandwiches, paninis, and coffees at reasonable prices. I tried the Dr. juice (kale, beet, celery, carrot, apple) and thought it tasted appropriately healthy. I also tried my friend's Matcha Green Tea Latte and thought it was amazing! This is a great place to study--it's simultaneously cozy and spacious, and the interior is bright and clean. One big gripe: there is NO BATHROOM, which makes it impossible to stay here for longer than a couple hours. I'd really like to see the management change this as soon as possible. Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Everything on the menu is under $7. Impressive, especially considering the quality of the ingredients they're using. Caprese panini, chicken Bahn Mi, fresh juices and smoothies... You get the picture. The little juice bar is clean, cozy and quirky -- I love that it's in one of the most ancient buildings on Benefit street, right next to Darwin's Liquors and amongst some of the city's most prestigious residences. The concept is clearly simple: good food, good music, free wifi, and a comfortable space. There are plenty of tables to choose from and it's pretty much understood from the moment you set foot in here that this is a place for quiet, for calm, for studying or for working. Have your latte, have your panini, have a super-healthy vegetable juice and pipe down. Just enjoy.

Great banana walnut muffin. It's fresh, warm and tasty. The cappuccino foam is smooth and silky...the way it should be but so many cafés don't deliver on.

Great corner spot on what I would call lower Benefit Street (close to Wickenden). Given the beautiful day, the couple of outdoor tables were full. Menu has a mix of juices, smoothies, and sandwiches (hot & cold). Inside space is a mix of old tables and chair - appropriate for the colonial style building. Kitchen is open and the clientele were interacting with the folks whipping up their bites / drinks. A great spot & alternative to other local shops. I love the addition of a juice bar - as I'm experimenting with juices more & more. Everything is made to order, so give yourself the time to breathe and enjoy the spot.

Came here after a terrible brunch at a nearby restuarant, and despite their how busy they were, service was great and the juice I got (the Dr.) was delish! Highly recommend!

Amazing! Smoothies are so good and I loved my salad! Really friendly environment! Was trying to find a nice healthy spring spot and this is definitely it!

Pros: I love that this coffee shop offers juice! Its nice having a juice bar on this side of town The people who work there are pretty friendly Love the homey interior Gluten free sandwiches! (if you're into that) Cons Sandwiches hit the spot, but they are a bit small and overpriced The juicer is super loud Juices are just OK Very pricey (2 gluten free sandwiches, 1 juice = $20) Summary: Solid place to grab a juice. Hope this place sticks around, but I won't be a regular at that price.

LOVE this place! Pam and Peter, friendly and welcoming, have created a comfortable, warm atmosphere in this corner cafe and juice bar. The coffee is terrific with a variety of roasts along with teas and of course, the juice and smoothies (that we haven't tried yet). The owners make all the food on site. Today we had the curried pumpkin soup with chopped apples (autumn in a bowl!) and the salad of the day: arugula, carrots, cakes and roasted red peppers with a balsamic dressing. The (large!) chocolate chip cookie was a perfect ending to our lunch date. The prices are reasonable for the food - I'm not a juice/smoothie person so I'm not really sure about those prices ($6.50) . Bottom line: I'm so happy this is my neighborhood cafe'!

Benefit Juice Bar & Cafe is such a breath of fresh air of life on Benefit street. We so needed this little cafe on this street. Peter and Pamela know all the makings of creating a neighborhood friendly and comfortable atmosphere. With their new offering of GF bread, they have such an awesome and diverse menu. The sweets and juices are amazingly delicious. Benefit Juice Bar is nestled onto one of the best streets in Providence, with great prices and a great outdoor seating area it is such a gem on this street. Their prices are more than reasonable and it is a great place to just sit and relax.

The Green Powerhouse (kale and bananas) was delightful. It was refreshing to have a healthy option as opposed to all the chain restaurants in the city down below. I enjoyed the courteous staff, and the cozy setting. It's a quaint place to sit and read a book.

I was coming out of my favorite salon the other day, and found my self FAMISHED! I spotted Benefit Juice Bar & Cafe on the corner and thought I would give it a try. First, it is quaint and cozy inside. Everyone is very friendly and you could tell they were making an effort. As I was there for lunch (actually past lunch), I was immediately drawn to the sandwich menu. Everything looked interesting, and it was quite difficult to decide what to try! I was tickled that they had healthy and vegetarian options right next to the Italian grinder. (I love options... sometimes you are in the healthy mood, and other times you just want to indulge!) I finally ordered the Chicken Bahn Mi, touted as spicy chicken salad with veggies and cilantro. Yea, good choice! The veggies were fresh, the cilantro popped in my mouth on this wonderful spring day, and the chicken salad was tasty, not spicy, but tasty. The best part was that it was very reasonably priced. I felt as if I was treating myself to a mini-gourmet lunch for under $7! I will definitely be back!

This place is adorable and the food is great. My boyfriend and I went two days in a row while visiting recently. Their sandwiches are yummy, the soup was hot and delicious, and the banana muffin and chai tea cookie we got were also quite scrumptious. The people who work there are also really friendly. It's in a cute area too. Highly recommend.

  • Jessica S.

I ordered a turkey day sandwich and Belgian hot chocolate to go. The man and woman there were both very nice. Cute, simple atmosphere. The sandwich has good flavors but needs more turkey for the price. Very lightweight compared to other places in the city. The hot chocolate is very dark cocoa but oddly not much chocolate flavor or sweetness. Why is it that no place in the city can make hot chocolate as well as I can at home?? Other than Al Forno. It was an ok visit and I may stop in to try some other things

I will not remove a star because this place is so great and so nice for so many reasons, but I do wish the coffee (lattes and regular) was better. I have started getting my coffee elsewhere and going here for food, juices, and great service and company. I hope this area improves so I can give them 6 stars!

Just had a juice (the dr{beet, celery, carrot, kale, apple}) and a panini (the caprese{fresh mozz, fontina, house made tomato basil walnut pesto})...liked them so much I ordered a smoothie!(nutty monkey{banana, almonds, almond milk, peanut butter and apple}) now I am full and happy. check it out out outt benefit street juice barrr It's like wildflour but more casual, less pastry

I don't know if I should even be writing this review...They have really good smoothies, all the people working there were very nice. But when me and a friend were mid conversation, a gentleman (owner...? Owner's relative?) stopped us in the back lot (that doesn't have signs mind you) and rudely said, if you could just not park here the next time, that'dddddddd be greeeeeat...to a customer. I felt embarrassed and at 9 am I didn't need to feel like I had committed a crime against humanity for parking in a lot that was right behind it that had no "parking for _____ only" signs. No, no there'll be no next time, I won't be back and I live on this street!!

This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! The sandwiches I've had are not amazing, but they are good and fresh. The people who work there are really friendly, and it has a nice, clean, bright atmosphere. Here's my beef: the prices! For $7, I feel like I should get a sandwich that fills me up -- or maybe includes chips or a side of some kind. But the sandwiches are quite small (paninis are more like half paninis or even third paninis) and don't come with anything. So I've had to order a soup or salad -- both also small portions -- meaning that I need to drop about $13 or so to get a lunch that actually fills me up. I would love to eat here more and support this lovely new local business, but I just can't afford it.

  • Megan H.

Had a delicious salad and once before their tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons... To die for.

    (5)
  • Lauren P.

As any juice bar, it was a little overpriced. But I guess that's what you get when you want great, fresh ingredients. My fiance and I had a hankering for smoothies and decided to stop in for lunch. We tried to caprese and the bad boy paninis. The bad boy was okay, the caprese was wonderful. They also had a soup special, curried pumpkin with apple and red onion. It was EXCELLENT. As for smoothies, the green powerhouse and the nutty monkey. Both we really great. (I tried remaking the green powerhouse at home and it did not turn out so well...)

So happy this quaint, funky juice place came to Benefit St ! Love the juices and smoothies, great atmosphere.

  • Terri H.

What's not to love about this quaint new addition to the neighborhood???? This place rocks. I love the simple menu. It's not a "supersize" portion which we Americans seem to require. It's more sophisticated and European in it's portions. Love the Caprice and The Roman Holiday panini. The breakfast sandwiches are to die for. Coffee very good as well. I've had a few of the smoothies and they are wonderful. I love how Pam adds a little unexpected "spice" to each of them. Original menu. Original place. Pam and Peter are wonderful hosts and always make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is sweet and my favorite thing is the groovy retro frigidaire which houses a variety of beverages. Haven't tried the pastries, but intend to.

  • Brian R.

This is a great place to grab breakfast lunch or just hang out and grab a coffee. The owners are super friendly and fit right in to the neighborhood. Make sure if your in the area you check this place out. Oh yeh and if Pam has made the Chai Tea Cookies grab one!

My fiancé and I were looking for somewhere to get smoothies, and this place came up on yelp. The atmosphere was very cozy, yet not cramped at all. We got lunch while we were there. The food was excellent, and the smoothies were delicious (and nutritious!). My only gripe was that it very expensive. Pretty much everything on the menu is almost $7. So, it adds up. Next time, I'll forgo the lunch, and stick to the smoothies, but we'll definitely be back!

I love this place, the owners are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet and that just makes everything better. Nowadays there is too much corporate businesses without any heart or soul and this place has plenty of that. Food is great cant wait to go again.
