Happend to come across this place by word of mouth...happy I did! This area needed something different with just a touch more class. And they knocked it out of the park with 10 Rocks. Stopped in just before dinner..had to start off with the Flight to Cabo Verde, a wonderful sampler of 3 traditional Cape Verde Ponches..coconut was fantastic. Being a tapas style restaurant you should bring friends to share in all their food choices..larger plates are plenty for the four we had at our table. For our main course we ordered two large plates, the Paella was one of the best I have had, with plenty of seafood...and the traditional cod and potato entree was also very delicious. What took it over the top was the desserts! A mango mousse cake was the tables favorite also the traditional cheesecake infused with Kamoca a must try. I definitely will be going back soon to experience more of what they have to offer. A night time trip will need to be had by all to experience some of the late night jam sessions on their stage.

Had a groupon for tapas and drinks for two, they give you one wine or beer per person then let you chose two main dishes (seafood or meat) and one side dish. The portions are perfectly sized! We chose the calamari which is not like your typical calamari, it has a balsamic glaze, pineapple, corn nuts, and banana peppers; this worked so well together! The chicken kabobs were ok, a little bland even if the sauce on it but not bad. The quinoa was absolutely delicious! The outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy your tapas and wine, it is slow paced which works well when trying to catch up with friends. I would absolutely come here again and try many of their others food options!

Have been here now three times since my first review. I really like this place! It's beautiful and always spotless. Service always really nice. I have had the octopus, which is amazing! It has too much oil for my taste so my second time trying I asked for less oil, which they honored no problem and was spot on. The cod cakes are amazing. The wine options are great and their glasses are always spotless ( I have a pet peeve with appropriate glass for type of wine, and cleanliness of glass...never had to send back). They serve red in awesomely clean glasses. Back to food...yuca fries were amazing the sauce too mild for my Taste. Yuca is mild, so in my opinion need something to make them pop. The spicy red pepper aioli they serve with the cod cakes was perfect pairing. The cheesecake was amazing as well. Please support this local business and help them succeed! Pawtucket needs more places like this!

Very great place for Cape Verdean cuisine. Delicious dishes with some amazing drinks in a wonderful atmosphere. Weekends normally have live entertainment so I would get there early.

I'm on the fence on this place. It has alot of potential but needs to work. The drinks were great. Some of the food was very good- the traditional Cape Verdean food like the pastel was excellent. The items on the menu that were more mainstream like the seared tuna were not as enjoyable. The fish was overcooked and drowned in sauce. The music was delightful and the restaurant set up and decor were nice. But the waitstaff seemed to be very busy and it was difficult to order more drinks or food so our table gave up after awhile.

Loved this place! The atmosphere was great with modern decor. Beautiful! Now let's get to the good stuff, food.. My favorite was the octopus, omg delish! We also had shrimp, batatas bravas, that were also great. And lastly the sliders and wings came.. Good but not amazing, the bread on the sliders didn't taste fresh and soft enough but still tasty. The only thing I didnt like was the timing of each dish coming out.. Potatoes came first then 10 minutes later everything came in one at a time. I would have enjoyed eating my potatoes with another dish if you get what I'm saying? But lived it overall, deff will be back to try more goodies :)

3.5 stars easy! Stopped by for drinks and ended up doing apps. Formerly "Murrys" 10 Rocks is now pretty upscale with a new, open, modern interior. We had the cod and potato entree - awesome! ($22) Then we had the chorizo marinated in red wine with rosemary! Both dishes were richly flavored. Bread was served with the best garlicky-butter and olive oil. Prices were reasonable and food was served hot. I'm glad to see a Cape Verdean in the area since Rosinhas closed. Same rule of thumb - take your time, enjoy food, family and friends. Bartender was very personable and made a good drink! Going back soon. Also, looks like they have live music. Hope they do well.

We bought a Groupon and were pleasantly surprised! We didn't know what to expect with tapas but the portions were impressive. The flavors were great and service was awesome. We had calamari, potatasbravas, and coconut shrimp. The groupon is a great value and the prices in general are reasonable. We will come back here!

Tried this place for the first time. Decor and service was great. Food was not. We ordered the salmon sliders, calamari, and sweet potato fries. Everything seemed as though it came out of a freezer bag. The calamari was inexplicably dry. Like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The salmon sliders were okay, but had very little salmon. Fries were fine. None of it was especially flavorful or memorable.

Amazing food. I enjoy the drinks and live band. The staff was very nice and attentive. I had the salmon pasta which was very fulfilling.

So this place had a Groupon, which is always a pro when deciding where to eat. I believe it's 23$ for two tapas, a side tapa and two drinks (beer and wine only). Don't try and order the meat and cheese platter as your side tapas even though it's located there, the owner will said they messed up the menu and it should be under large tapas... The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of our server, Jenna, who was super nice and attentive. She answered all of our questions which was helpful. Now the food... My boyfriend and I left feeling unsettled after this meal. Our stomachs took the rest of the night and into the morning to recover. We ordered the seared tuna tapa, the pulled pork sliders tapa, and the fried goat cheese tapa. The seared tuna was pink inside but way overcooked for what would be considered seared... I thought of sushi tuna when I read it. Wrong.. It's also smothered in a yam sauce I think? It was orange/yellow and tasted like vegetable soup.. Odd. Then for sliders, they said crispy onion strings, they were mushy and just caramelized onions.. Not crispy. The sliders were also packed with blue cheese and you could not taste anything else on them. The last item, was by far the worst. We ordered fried goat cheese, this was NOT goat cheese. It was mozzarella.. Goat cheese is not firm, it's soft and fluffy-like. I was pretty much eating mozzarella sticks. We complained about this to the server who called the owner over to ask. The owner tried to convince me it was Caribbean goat cheese...no. It even had the mellow flavor of mozzarella, not the tartness of goat cheese. They offered us a dessert on the house which was nice of them. We couldn't even finish it, it was so awful. It was candy-papaya slices a jello-like sauce, served with a slice of white cheese in it. It was so overwhelmingly sweet that my boyfriend and I ate the mint leaf garnish after a few bites just to refresh our mouths.. Speaking of garnish, they put the same garnish on every plate... A sprig of pine or something?, banana peppers with one red pepper, and balsamic reduction. Literally on every plate, definitely not an array of flavors. The decor was very nice however, it has potential to be great but the owner needs to step up in the quality of their ingredients and the flavors they put out. I wouldn't come back, I'll be sticking with Sangrias or Bocado for tapas next time.

Food was awesome. The octopus was amazing, the calamari was really nice. Shrimp curry was the best of all. Although some at the table thought the cod cakes were the best. Wine selection was very reasonably priced, but limited. Valet service is really great... The waitstaff was attentive, but a little slow.

As previously stated this place was formally known as , "Murrys". The building was renovated to fit the century. The host was very pleasant and was able accommodate a large party quickly. Now here is where things start to go south. It took about 30minutes for someone to recognize that we had not been attended to. (I doubt they would have noticed if I didn't get up and ask the hostess if she could have a waitress help my group ). It then took another 30 odd minutes for the person to come to our table and take our order. After 15minutes passed , our drinks are finally on the table and time and conversations move a long. An hour later an appetizer is then put on the table. The waitress did not ask if any of the guest needed anything and sped off to a corner where she used her phone for about 5minutes. At this point I'm done with my drink and a little hangry. So I get up and ask the hostess if our food will ever come out. 10minutes later the food come out cold , salty and nasty. I would not recommend this place as the customer service is below par. LOS ANDES it is for me next time. WRITES PISSED OFF CUSTOMER!

Ten Rocks is a great addition to Pawtucket! I am so glad a classy restaurant with a great atmosphere exists. As a Cape Verdean who has eaten great CV food all her life this place did not disappoint. I went with family and friends and we all shared many plates--the octopus, shrimp, and the yucca fries were some of our favorites. The kamoca cheese cake was delicious as a dessert option! Drinks were great as well! Definitely coming back over and over again

Ordered take out from ten rocks and it wasn't fresh at all. The rice was stale and it had burnt pieces in it, looks like they just fried staled rice! Plus it was sooo overpriced never again will they get my business! If I want capeverdean food I'll take my business to Rosa's kitchen or Cantinho not Ten Rocks! so disappointed!

Came here with a Groupon for 2 people, which included two main tapas (meat or seafood) and one side tapa, as well as drinks for 2. We ordered the coconut curry shrimp and the grilled octopus with a side of batatas bravas. Everything was absolutely delicious but the octopus was a real standout. We purchased another Groupon for 4 people before we left. Looking forward to coming back and introducing friends to this unique place.

Holy moly! What an amazing place! My first time here, our server Vicky was beyond sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. We used a groupon and they were completely accommodating. The ambiance of the restaurant is so lively and fun and the food was to die for. Our food came out so quickly and was absolutely delicious. I totally have to recommend the fried goat cheese. I would have uploaded a photo but it was to amazing to put down my fork! A serious must try !

I have been a regular at 10 Rocks since they opened. The food is great and the staff is beyond excellent. I recently threw a party for my girlfriend's birthday at the restaurant and I have to say the experience was phenomenal! Throughout the planning and the party itself, Carmen and her staff were amazing. The food was excellent as always and the entertainment (live music) was perfect. If you are looking for a great place to through a party - look no further.

I gave 10 Rocks 5 stars for the simple fact that I cannot wait to go back. But...if you plan on going to this establishment, MAKE A RESERVATION. it definitely has a "members only" feel and even tho I did have a reservation, I was treated as if I wasn't welcome until I could prove I had a reservation. The place is just that packed on a Saturday! (Not cramped...just all tables are set up for dinner and that's all that's allowed in the place until people get up and leave...which they don't until closing time!) After being seated it took a long time for a waitress to find her way to our table. It was obvious to the manager who found her and sent her our way after about 20 minutes. They allowed us to order food very late (11:15pm) which was awesome but it was cold when it came. We ate it and it was tasty and esthetically pleasing. You can't order at 11:15 and expect the freshest and hottest food! The main reason I cannot wait to go back is because of the crowd. Mature, multicultural, young, old and everything in between all enjoying live jazz music. I was in awe of this place. Make a reservation, order your food earlier than 11pm and you are going to have the time of your life!

Great local find. This area needed this restaurant. Very friendly service with the owner visiting tables but not overly intrusive. I will be back with friends to enjoy again.

I truly believe this place is God sent! I have a very diverse group of friends. As a Cape Verdean, I've always wanted to have a place where I could bring my friends to experience my culture. The problem with the other Cape Verdean places is they cater specifically to Cape Verdeans. Ten Rocks is a place where I can bring my friends from other cultures and introduce them to a taste of Cabo Verde! Kudos to the chef. I like to try something new every time I come (about 8-10 times now ). I haven't been failed yet. The salmon sliders are delicious. A great choice for a late night light meal, with a beer of course. My recommendation is to come with a group, order a large dish (the Cod is spectacular), and then pick up a 2 or 3 Tapas and every one dig in! The drinks are amazing as well. Very diverse and great if your looking to try something new. Try the "Criola" bon appetit!

We had the sausage, and it has something on it that tasted like canned gravy? The sausage was good but the sauce/gravy was not. It was served in what looked like a salsa bowl? Confusing. It also came with 1 piece of bread. Not enough- asked for more and they gave us some. The drinks are good- a little over priced for being in paw-tucky. $8 for a rum and diet. Although!!! They do have $2 beers if your interested in corona or the like. I heard they also have live music. That's a + You can tell they put a lot of time and $$ in this place. Unfortunately it won't be one of my hang outs... Although I'm sure they will not be missing my business- and will do just fine.

Great meal while visiting from out of town! I love Cape Verdean food and was excited to try this place. The standout dish for me was definitely the Island Paella; I literally couldn't stop eating it. So good. The shrimp in coconut curry over the plantains was also good. The mango barbecue wings had a great sauce, maybe could have been cooked a few more minutes. The table agreed that the sliders were the least memorable, but still good. The drinks were delicious. I can't remember all the different ones we drank, but I loved the criolla drink. My sister had a couple of gin drinks, which she really enjoyed. I also had a really big and fun glass of Prosecco. The place inside is really cute, and the spot has a ton of potential. It was a very fun night out. There are tons of options on the menu overall. If I go back, I am definitely getting my own paella.

Awesome addition to Pawtucket! Bartender was awesome, drinks were strong and tasty. Service at the bar was excellent. When we moved to our table service was weak. The potatoes, goat cheese and calamari were delish. Unfortunately it went down hill after that. The seared tuna was fully cooked and drenched in sauce. I have never had cape verdian food before but the few tapas that I did were awesome. My suggestion would be go cape verdian all the way. Don't try to be fancy fusion when you know what you are doing! The band was AWESOME!!! Looking forward to going back and finding more on the menu that wows me! Hope they work out the kinks.
