I usually just come here for terrific grinders and acceptable pizza, but today was my first time for breakfast. It was incredible! Great omelets with fluffy eggs, tasty and light pancakes, and deliciously crispy and seasoned potatoes. Combined with acceptable service, a casual ambiance, and great location, and you get a superb brunch locale.

They need an experienced line of cooks and a manager to run this place. Hostess was an absolute hustler and did a great job but she was the only 1 who seemed to be up to par. Management needs to train cooks to keep things moving, read the slips and crank the orders out. Then have 2 people up front running tables and answering phones. Most of us waited over 45 minutes to receive orders.

My wife and I recently moved to Newport and heard good things about Aquidneck Pizza. We have used their website to order pizza for delivery a total of 3 times and 2 of the 3 times our orders were either screwed up or BURNED! First Order = Correct and Pizza was Great. Second Order = We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 of the 2 was wrong. Third Order = We ordered 2 pizzas ( same 2 pizzas as before ). The same pizza was made wrong again and the other pizza was BURNED this time. Their pizza is very good but screwing up 2 out of 3 orders and allowing a pizza to leave for delivery, BURNT! is simply not ok.

The place is good for a quick pizza or wrap. The pizza is better than the national chains but not the best on the island. The prices are fair for the quality. The grilled chicken wrap is awesome! Its also a bit messy, but its well worth it.

Had pizza here twice once at the location and once for pickup. Not my favorite pizza, I prefer big NY style slices. It was ok though. The girl behind the register has been fantastic both times even recommending deals and other items with a smile. Not bad deals by the way if your into that. If you order a large you get a free small cheese pizza, which is great if you have kids that don't respect the eclectic series of toppings you like on your pizza. I recommend checking it out if your near first beach and craving a quick pizza. I would however recommend the mezethes appetizer. It's my new favorite and includes dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), grilled pita, feta, spanakopita, and cucumber sauce. I also get an order of their east/west wings.

Stick with the pizza! I had a burger from here and the meat patty had that frozen rubbery taste.... Do not get the burgers! On the other hand my family and I did have a pepperoni and cheese pizza from here and it was pretty good. Overall this is an ok restaurant, nothing I would go out of my way for.

I was lucky enough to eat their pizza today at a retirement party for one of our civilian employees. I felt like a pig because i had to try a slice of every different pie. Lol hawaiian was the best in my opinion, im a big fan of pineapples. The meat lovers came in second but it would be clearly the winner if it had pineapples. Lol. The meats that were on that pie were crazy! Overall, they have a great pizza. If you are in the Newport area stop by.

This was the first time here. It was recommended to me by a co-worker. We arrived at 4:40 p.m. on a Friday, I wanted to dine upstairs, it opened at 5:00, so my boyfriend and I took a walk and came back, glad we did. It was really nice upstairs, clean, open, with a great view of the beach! We had a large pizza and an antipasto. The waitress was very friendly and professional. The antipasto was delicious and different from other antipastos I've had. The pizza smelled delicious...and it was! The crust was perfect and all the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely come back again, I really enjoyed the food!

Pizza was warm and melty, but that's about it. There was very little sauce on the pizza, and the crust left much to be desired. I didn't have high expectations, so I wasn't thoroughly disappointed, but there wasn't much great about the pizza. It wasn't absolutely horrible, but I wouldn't get it again. On the plus side, they did deliver (to the correct address on the second try) in pretty crummy winter weather.

Couldn't have been more disappointed with the service or the pizza at this place. Went in at 1230 for a slice of pizza and was told the slices were old but it wouldn't be a long wait for a pie. For a place that is open till 3 am... You would think slices would be available past midnight. Anyways the quick wait for a pizza ended up taking over 40 minutes in an empty restaurant. We asked how much longer it would be after waiting for 30 minutes and were told our first pizza was burnt and the second should be out in a couple minutes. I was so disappointed that the staff chose not to check in with us and let us know and just let us keep waiting. When asked what they could do the cook told us , quite rudely "that he wouldn't take anything off the bill but he would give us a free small if we wanted to wait" Finally ate the mediocre pizza and hour later... Needless to say we won't be returning. And would recommend that others do the same

Get the pizza and nothing else here as far as dinner goes....REPEAT....get the pizza and nothing else here. They advertise breakfast all day, I have no idea if it's any good, I would look at other reviews for that. This place gets a solid 3 stars for pizza, getting dinged one for everything else. Service is mediocre at best and they hit on a pet peeve of mine. The under 64 oz beer pitcher. If you advertise your beer pitcher specials, they should be 64 oz, not the mini pitcher. Come on now Aquidneck...you can do better.

July 12, 2014 Mom and I have been going to Aquidneck Pizza for years. A friend turned me onto their delicious pies in the late 1990's, and since then I've taken - and suggested it to - most of my family and friends. This is my sister Mallory's favorite pizza of all time, so naturally Mom and I were super excited about stopping in for a late night slice ... or more. We arrived at around 10 p.m. after taking a fun drive through busy Newport. We like to see the people in the streets and smell the delicious food coming from the restaurants. Even though we could have chosen any "hot spot" to visit, we wanted Aquidneck Pizza - a double decker restaurant that has late night/early morning hours and delicious food. Mom and I ordered our favorite - a large extra-cheese pizza ($11.79) - and two Diet Cokes ($2 each). Our total came to $17.05. We took a table at the back of the restaurant and waited for our pizza, which came out fast and smelled fantastic. It's funny, because if you ask us what our favorite pizza is, we will give you about four or five different answers. We like different pizzas for different reasons, for example: Best bar pie: Cape Cod Café, Brockton/Raynham/Bridgewater, MA Best "old school" pizza: Caserta Pizzeria, Providence, RI Best four cheese pizza: Spumoni's Restaurant, Pawtucket, RI Best crust: Federal Hill Pizza, Warren, RI Best delivery chain pizza: Papa Gino's, various locations As for Aquidneck Pizza, we would rate this as our best "all-around-awesome" pizza. Every time we have it, it's like we're having it for the first time. The taste is outstanding, there is always a perfect amount of cheese and sauce and the crust is nicely crisp. It really is a perfect pizza. Just ask my sister! To her, it is the only pizza place that matters. Once Mom and I dug into our pizza, there was no stopping us. Before we knew it there was nothing left on the pan and we were rolling back into the parking lot. Our waitress was awesome and the restaurant is always clean and neat. It actually has one of Mom's favorite public restrooms because everything has been modernized. I can picture gaggles of drunk college kids stumbling into Aquidneck from the beach bars to sober up with some pizza or perhaps one of their breakfast dishes. You really can't go wrong with anything at "AQ." We'll be back! Visit newenglandbites.com for more tasty reviews from Southern New England!

Had the meat lovers. Yum. Friendly service. Beer on tap. Recommend checking it out.

The pizza was pretty decent and the service was good enough. The bar area upstairs could have offered more in the way of atmosphere and there could have been more tv's to service the sports crowd. In my opinion there are better places to get pizza in Newport. As far as a pizza pub goes, it works - just not that well. I think they could improve by playing up the pub part a bit more by putting more on tap and working on the interior to foster more of that pizza pub style.

Had the Veggie Pizza and the Buffalo Chicken Pizza with side of Baked Potato Skins. All were fantastic with friendly service. Plenty of parking and free which is rare being across the street from the ocean. We will return for sure

Stopped in this restaurant on a cold, windy, rainy Friday night recently and was welcomed by the shelter of this well-lit, clean, and modernly decorated business. Immediately upon entering, our party was directed to sit where we'd like. Place was deserted except for a few regulars sitting at the bar watching the flat screen television mounted on the wall. A sign read 'Upstairs seating closed' so I'd have to assume there is a 2nd floor to this place when its jammin'. Our server seemed to be running the whole place this night. . . serving drinks at the bar, taking our orders, preparing things in the kitchen. He was quick, efficient, and got our food out to the table with little wait. He was non-obtrusive and seemed to stop by whenever we needed something. Though I was tempted to order from their all-day breakfast menu I ended up ordering a large White Pizza. Best decision I'd made all week. The dough was fresh and soft, the mixtures of cheeses combining to cause an explosion of happiness in my mouth. I'm no pizza expert but this is some of the best I've tasted in a while. Mozzarella sticks had an outer covering crunchier than I'm used to but still hit the spot. All for around $20. . . not bad for a Friday night out. Took our party a while to leave. . . convincing ourselves to step out of the delicious smelling atmosphere, back into the battering of cold winds off the ocean, waves crashing within view from the front door of this establishment. I expect I will return after a long sun-soaked day at Easton's Beach, rather than one spent dodging raindrops and hurricane gusts.

I don't normally eat at Aquidneck Pizza, but I ended up booking the upstairs for a private party last year based mostly on the location. The upstairs room was great for my party! You can see the beach out the windows and there's a cozy setup by the fireplace. For not much more than $1000, we had all-you-can-eat pizza, salad, and soda for 50 people. The bartender was very friendly and helped us set up beforehand. All of the staff were great and booking the party was easy as well. The only problem, which they're very up front about, is the lack of parking. Luckily we have friends who own a nearby business and let us park there. The food isn't anything particularly great, but it's not bad either. It's the location and atmosphere that really make this place great. If you're thinking about having a party, definitely check out Aquidneck Pizza!

Good spot for a quick eat. Have had breakfast here twice over the last couple months. Had omelette's both times. Pretty good, but the cook didn't get my order right exactly, so it's still so-so in my book. If you go, sit upstairs. Full bar with a view of Easton's Beach. Downstairs can become a bit crowded, but plenty of room on top.

Their Greek salad was terrible. Lettuce was watery. Olives still had pits in them. Feta wasn't crumbled, it was just wedged and thrown in. Only got 8 tiny rubbery buffalo chicken wings that were just soggy. Nickolas Pizza by far is the superior place or value and quality of food.

With a grain of salt - I am reviewing the breakfast food at a pizza joint. Nothing special, but what would you expect? It was overall clean, but a little chilly (lacked that cozy warmth that you'd want on a winter morning). Service was acceptable but not beyond. I'm not totally discouraged, I'll amend once I stop in for a pizza.

It didn't occur to me that this was a restaurant the first few times I went past to Flo's or the beach. The sign screams "pool and patio supply." You really need to read the message board below to see that it says "pizza and breakfast" or something. My wife and I popped in for breakfast one morning. Upsides: friendly and fast service, huge coffee mugs, decent food. Downside: food wasn't as good as Tickets (which is just across the street) and was slightly more expensive than Tickets. The atmosphere was a little weird but I guess it's primarily a pizza place.

I didn't get pizza, which I think I'm glad about after reading the previous review. (I'm Neopolitan and/or NY style faithful) But, my eggplant parm sandwich was good. It was big and the bread was nice and toasty. Also, our waitress was awesome...we were only in town in the weekend, and our waitress gave us a bunch of ideas on stuff to do and check out. So an extra star for her :-)

I grew up in Newport and sadly the most prevalent style of pizza is "Greek Pizza": extra fat crust, puffy wet, pizza. I don't like this kind of pizza, for American pizza I'm solidly in the NY thin crust-Chicago-California coalition. My favorite pizza is Neapolitan style preferably eaten while actually in Napoli. AQ Pizza is Greek pizza, albeit a better version. We also have tried their other "Italian" offerings and these are the Greek version of Italian. Marinara sauce with lots of oregano and not much taste. Meatballs that remind one of souvlaki. All this would be fine if they had some Greek offerings other than the moniker salad. Most Greek Pizza places in Boston/MA are salvaged by having good Greek food as well as neo-Italian food. Throw a spinach pie on the menu! There was one server and she did a great job on what turned out to be a busy Sunday night. She poured a glass of Chianti, actually checked it before serving it. It was off and she opened a new bottle. She was juggling 4 tables the bar and taking the phone orders, all this while she was sorting out some lost German bicyclist. One of the stars is for her. * Great location kitty-corner to Easton's Beach * Full bar and they have some wines Tyler B(*) would approve, 3 solid Greek whites. * Best item on the menu: Curly Fries. * Nice decor * They do breakfast yelp.com/user_details?us…
