Great Taste is an "ok" local Chinese restaurant. Don't expect anything gourmet, but if you are looking for Chinese and don't want to drive too far, give Great Taste a try! PS - I love that they deliver when I am feeling especially lazy!

The people of Cumberland hail this place as the greatest Chinese food joint around, but I'm not all that convinced. For standard chinese take-out, it was pretty good. Keep in mind that all I got was the lo mein and some BBQ spare ribs. Also keep in mind that I ate almost all of both my small orders. However, the orders were pretty small. None of that "trying to fit a Whopper in a Big Mac box" stuff going on here. While the BBQ spare ribs were actually very good, the Lo Mein was actually soggy. I've never had soggy Lo Mein in my life, but I got it here. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good. On the upside, the prices are super cheap. For the money, I'd say the Cumberland folks are probably right that this is the best Chinese take-out/delivery around.

Been here dozens of times.decent Chinese nothing special.decent size portions.i like coming here for lunch during work cause I can catch wifi on my iPad from honeydew next door. I would have given more stars but there's no a/c in the summer and very little heat in the winter.it seems they do mostly takeout.

I have eaten here before, and they werent bad. I had to google their phone number becfause they had no website and therefore no online menu available. The lady on the phone was nice. but its a huge pet peeve of mine to have to repeat myself several times or spell something out if someone cant understand me, no fault of mine, they do not speak good english here. Try my hand again, and lo and behold i see what the other posters are talking about. the Beef terriyaki was literally just beef on a stick... no taste, no terriyaki, no spices, nothing. Im bringing it back after Im out of work. Disgusting. They better give me my money back.... The spring rolls were tasty, although greasy and floppy, not at all crispy like I was told. Service for delivery was fast, and the driver had a smile. :) Thats the only reason this place is getting 2 stars.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
