My husband and I came here for mothers Day. We were greeted by a lovely hostess. We able to get a table. I was surprised since it was a holiday. Our waiter was very attentive and The meal was terrific. They had several pasta dishes and I had a roasted vegetables pasta. The veal parmigiana was outstanding as well.. We had a chocolate mouse pie and cappuccino which was the best. I defiantly would recommend this restaurant over any in the area.

I had expected something not as classy as this from the name of the place. Food was quite good; had the Puttanesca Calzone and antipasto.

Wow. This used to be the place to eat great food in a great atmosphere.. Used to be!! Their Caesar Salad, which was once the best in the state, was lacking any anchovy, so it was basically mayo, no flavor. I ordered a risotto dish and was served WHITE RICE that they tried to pull off as risotto... Um, trust me, I know the difference. Just sad. This will be our last time here after over 23 yrs of coming here. The past 2 times have been little better the cafeteria food. Besides that, food was very slow coming out, our food went to the wrong table, I was served a food a specifically said I had an allergy to, when pointed out, was not offered a replacement. When told about risotto, the waitress just shrugged it off. Worst experience on all levels.

Okay, why have I not written a review for Papa Razzi yet?! I love this place for all occasions, including large groups or just two at the bar. This is a constant meeting spot for my friends and I, and for good reason. Papa Razzi is a great destination for either brunch, lunch, or dinner: I've been able to try all three. The decor is warm, classic, and inviting. I mention large groups because the folks at Papa Razzi are experts at accommodating whoever you may like to bring by. The wine and drink list is fantastic, and the servers have really wowed me in the past by their willingness to let me sample something if I'm not totally sold on it. The bread and olive oil is hands down the best you will ever have (just be sure to get some extra olive oil if you're a junkie like me!). I generally order one of the same few dishes each time, but perhaps one of the best parts of dining anywhere within the Papa Razzi chain is the amazing Bene rewards program they have. You rack up points much more rapidly than other places with similar programs and the Bene member section on the website very concisely tracks your progress toward your next $25 reward. Please do yourself a favor and stop by if you haven't already!

I came here with my mom for lunch today. The restaurant is large, well laid out with an open kitchen and the serve staff is friendly and well trained. Also the men's room was clean and as nice as the rest of the restaurant! I had half a Caesar salad and the Rollatini Melanzana. Both tasted rather bland like chain restaurant food which of course they are. Also the sauce was warm but the eggplant was not on both our Rollatinis. So while I was not overly impressed with the food, the service and atmosphere were quite nice, so A-OK.

I dream of the Manzo salad, with fresh greens, gorganzola cheese, and medium rare sliced beef. I thoroughly enjoyed it today. My appetizer of grilled shrimp over sautéed spinach would have also been amazing had the hair not been present on it!! Oh well, at least the appetizer was free, said our fau pau young waiter. (I had checked into the restaurant on Yelp and they advertised a free appetizer for filling out a form, so I did!) Never should a hair be present on food, even if it's free, right?! Anyhow, my boyfriend's Italian beef sandwich was good, but he agreed that my salad was better. I will go back again for the Manzo salad, but please hold the hair on my shrimp appetizer!

I have ate here many times over the past year, I have had some really good meals here and I have had some really bad meals here but for the most part it's just average some of highlights of the restaurant is if you join there membership which is free for every 300 dollars you spend you get a 25 dollar gift card as well as a free appetizer every time you come into the restaurant except Saturday as long as you keep filling out the survey so that's pretty cool price wise it's a little above average for a chain restaurant however it's very nice inside I will keep coming back to eat here I do wish the food was more consistent that's something the restaurant needs to improve on.

Went to Paparazzi for the special Mangia Monday deal tonight. We've been a few times and it's always great. Being a vegetarian I really like the Eggplant Rollatini without prosciutto, of course. Tonight however it seemed to have a different taste than usual. The server offered to have it remade, but still the same. The manager stopped by, apologized and deducted the cost off our check despite our protest (I ate it after all). She said that she and the chef would make another and taste it themselves afterwards. When I arrived home, my phone was ringing and it was the manager, Tiffany calling to let me know that they had solved the mystery; an incorrect spice had been used. Tiffany, along with her staff should be commended for the level of concern and professionalism shown. We'll definitely be back as we have been every week lately.it's usually delicious and a great value too!

I think this place is Great. I came here with my friend and the food is delicious. I dont like that theres not much options on the menu but everything on the menu is delicious.. Portions are small/medium not BIG at all ... I love the gelato is definitely refreshing... One thing I didnt like was that the drinks are very pricey.. 5 dollars for half of glass of moscato and 10 for a full glass ??? Makes not much sense to me but if you dont care to spend the $$ go for it.. It's a classy rest but you can dress casual. The staff is friendly ans very very attentive and helpful if you have menu questions. I didnt like that the names of the entrees were in Italian I wish they were in English because I couldnt pronounce it Lol

Went for dinner with several work colleagues last night; it was my first visit to a Pappa Razzi. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and courteous and we were seated immediately without a reservation. Everything was excellent from the bread to the Caesar salad to the chicken piccata to the lemon mascarpone for dessert. I highly recommend Pappa Razzi and I will return!

When I lived in MA I frequented the one in Hanover. Many of my work Christmas parties where there and I often stopped in after work for a drink. When I moved to Ri I stopped going until I found this one in Cranston with a living social deal! We visited on a Saturday around 7 and were seated immediately. Our waitress informed us of the specials and offered wine suggestions. We both opted for a chicken dish with mushrooms and prosciutto. I found the prosciutto to be a bit rubbery so I took it off but otherwise it was good. The potatoes were roasted to perfection. Tender and slightly crisp on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. I opted for a glass of Moscato. It was slightly bubbly, crisp and just sweet enough. I made a mental note of the brand so I could purchase a bottle. My kids had the grilled cheese (huge and cheesy) and cheese pizza (meh...). We were too stuffed for dessert but I'll save room next time.

This place is OK if you like chain restaurants. Food is just average and they seem to have problems cooking a steak properly when requested medium rare. Decor feels like it could be any chain restaurant. I won't go back. It's not bad for kids and they do have draft beer...that's why they get two stars.

I really do not like chain restaurants but Papa Razzi is the only one in the area that I will return to time and again with little complaint. That being said, it's time for an update. Dozens of visits later and while I still consider Papa Razzi a "win", there have been a few snafus over the years. Brunch isn't great; I've never been impressed and the cocktails are weak. A few times, we've been served cold foccacia or have had to wait an unbearable amount of time for them to make more. But, gripes aside, I will continue to eat at Papa Razzi because god damn! that Panzanella Salad with the goat cheese vinaigrette is freaking delicious! Also, they always have a table open and they make just about every dish to-order so if you've got a dietary restriction (hello, no meat!) then they can customize most items to suit your needs. They also have a designated gluten-free menu. I have two favorite times to eat at Papa Razzi. 1. In the dead of winter, when Garden City is covered in snow and you can pop in for a little respite and a plate of delicious, piping hot Gnocchi di Sorrento. 2. On a bright, sunny day and you can sit on the patio and enjoy a refreshing plate of the Panzanella Salad and in ice cold iced tea. Papa Razzi is NOT like other Italian-American chains. Trust. It's definitely worth a try and bonus points because you're grandparents will LOVE it! Promise.

Went for lunch on Sunday and sat at the bar. Ordered 2 bowls of soup and a ceasar salad to split. Also had 2 cocktails, vodka & soda and the house red sangria. GET the red sangria, its like fruit punch, really good. Bill came to $41 before tip, and we were in and out in 30mins.

This place was so good, and the staff was very nice. I honestly thought it was going to be horrible by the fact it's called "Papa Razzi". The salad I had was dynamite, as was the mixed drinks and desserts. If anything you -need- to try the desserts. I was pleasantly surprised.

Our kids had taken myself and my wife here as an anniversary present. There was a very inpressive selection on the menu. I ordered the Veal Parmesean, (which I never order anywhere, since it's always frozen) Needless to say, the Veal was fresh, good portioned, and very tasty. The rest of our group ordered Ravioli, 14oz Sirlion, and Salmon. Not one of us had anything negative to say at all about the food in this place. The drinks seemed a bit strong, but nothing that would ruin our visit. The staff and management were beyond friendly and professional. The restaurant, very clean! Won't hesitate to return there at all. A nice change from the "Olive Garden" stores. Highly recomended!

My first time here was for brunch. I ordered an eggs Benedict with filet and lobster with it. I was underwhelmed. Tough steak, with tiny pieces of lobster as more of a garnish. The price seemed low, so my expectations weren't very high. There were a few breakfast potatoes scattered on the plate with a few random pieces of fruit. Looked like an incomplete sad little plate. My daughter ordered grilled chicken with broccoli and fries. The fries were awful, and she was served broccolini, which it didn't state on the menu. She was not a fan. I would say the only saving grace was the free mimosa/Bellini with brunch, but even those were lackluster. Haven't been back for brunch since. Stopped by a few weeks ago for dinner. They bring out an ok bread and crunchy breadsticks with a spicy olive oil. Although the server never mentioned what it was, and my 6 year old complained about her burning mouth for about ten minutes after trying it. For dinner I had a dish with chicken, prosciutto, and mushrooms. I believe it had fontina as well. I requested it over pasta instead of with potato and vegetable. It was average but there was definitely something lacking in flavor. My boyfriends pasta dish was even more bland than mine. My daughter was happy with her cheese ravioli so I guess that's a plus? Ended dinner with a salted caramel gelato that had chocolate chunks in it. It was out of this world! I would probably only come back for this. Espresso was very bitter and I was surprised because I had had that brand before. Papa Razzi I wish you were better, you are a stones throw from my house.

I went here for a business luncheon and the service was spectacular. The warm fresh bread is so good. I had the chicken parm and it was made delicious, thin & crispy (big piece). The other guests ordered the special cod with veggie & potatoe which they say was very good as well. I world recommend this place for business or pleasure.

Considering how upscale and fancy schmancy this place is made out to be, the food is really not that great for such high prices. I got steak, potatoes and vegetables and the steak was cooked a little too well done and the quality was ok. I expected juicy and succulent but oh well. My boyfriend got a pizza and it looked ok. Nothing special. Service wasn't bad. Definitely a chain restaurant quality. If you want authentic Italian go to pats Italian on Hartford ave !!

To me, Papa Razzi is similar to a plethora of other Italian American restaurant chains like Carraba's, Maggiano's and Macaroni Grill, only slightly more expensive for less selection of all the standard dishes everywhere else has. However, compared to the others, I find the food here just edible and not particularly enjoyable after multiple tries through the years. The bar on the other hand stands out w/ a better selection of drinks than most. Overall, I personally would only come here to eat if I had to, but do think that many others would likely find it more enjoyable, especially if classic Italian-ish food floats their boat.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a large open kitchen, the server tells you everything is scratch made in-house, the wine list is extensive with loads of wines by the glass (and half-glass). So I was rather excited that this was going to be a great meal. I ordered the Bucatini All' Amatriciana and I swear what I got was just spaghetti with pomodoro sauce, I could not see any pancetta in it at all. What a disappointment. I sent it back and they added some chili sauce to it; however I still felt as though the dish was nothing special. The pace of the meal was perfect at a little over one hour and the server was friendly and attentive without being hovering over us. I will go back and I am tempted to even order the same dish just to see if in fact the kitchen simply just screwed up and gave me the wrong dish. Final note - they offer gluten free pasta for you celiacs and people who are trying to get rid of that wheat belly.

I really thought I'd be giving Papa Razzi a higher review since I've been many times over the years and never had a bad experience. Until today. As far as chains go, Papa Razzi always had consistently good food and service. I love the outdoor seating in the summer as well as the bread and oil they start off with. This time the food was okay and the service was horrible. It started out okay. The server wasn't very nice but we got our drinks, foccaccia and bread sticks so we were happy. Soon it became clear that we'd been waiting a really long time for our food. When I looked around for our server she ignored us. Finally our food was brought out by 2 different' servers and a manager. My husband's order was incorrect. None of this would have been terrible, mistakes happen, but nobody apologized or even acknowledged the wait or the fact that a mistake had been made. When our server finally appeared, again we received no apologies or acknowledgement and her sour attitude continued. Finally when the check appeared, she told us she took the sandwich off the bill (I hadn't complained so she must have realized her error) and said "sorry" in a very curt manner. While I appreciate that in the end they had resolved the error, an apology or even a simple trip to our table to let us know the food was coming would have been nice. I hope that this was a one-time negative experience. This won't keep my from going back based on prior experiences but if I keep having meals like this one I'll find another place in Garden City to enjoy.

I love it here. This is where you can find REAL Italian food. Everything is cooked from scratch, so they can always accommodate any allergies or preferences. Staff is extremely friendly. We went there yesterday for lunch and had an amazing experience as usual. Our waiter, Antonio, was fabulous- extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions. The atmosphere in this restaurant is perfect. Food is even more perfect. Wait staff is as good as you can get. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates real Italian cuisine. If your definition of good Italian is Olive Garden, then you might be disappointed. But, if you know good food, you will LOVE it here.

I have always considered Papa Razzi a reliable restaurant where you could meet a colleague for lunch or bring the family and know you could have a nice fresh meal and glass of wine while the kiddos chose from a reasonable kid's menu. It was never innovative, but always well-prepared, fresh and served with care. However, our last experience made me rethink my assessment. My entree, a shrimp dish, was quite over cooked, we had to ask for bread, and the server appeared poorly trained (friendly enough but missed many small touches). Sadly, I can only offer 3 stars. Hoping that a future visit is less disappointing.

Came here on a living social deal. Not really sure where the rave reviews are coming from. This place was mediocre at best. Server was nice but took a long time. It took 15 minutes to get greeted then another 10 to get drinks and bread. The timing of the appetizer to entree was absolutely perfect. The food was ok, I was honestly expecting much better for the prices. It was slightly below the quality you would get at Carrabbas and slightly above Olive Garden. Unless I had another coupon deal, I wouldn't go back.

One of my favorite places in the Rhode Island area to have a nice elegant experience. I meet a friend of mine here weekly to have lunch, wine, and gossip. The atmosphere is always up-scale and my glass is never left empty. Bartender Melissa is an asset to the establishment, she was able to make sure our bottles of wine were always ready for our thirsty mouths, while handling multiple other guests, and keeping up with friendly conversation. I had the chicken with oil and lemon, seasoned to perfection and grilled to a tasty and healthy fruition. I will be back.

I hadn't been to Paparazzi since last summer, so this was my first look at the new menu. I was disappointed that some of my favorite dishes were taken off, but they still offered nice salads. So I ordered a salad and a pizza. The salad was ok, but the pizza was just awful. Looked and tasted like frozen box pizza. The service however was excellent.

Been a couple times. Got the Pollo Piccata tonight. Absolutely wonderful. The lemon-y, caper, cream sauce was perfect. Left me thirsty for another bite every time. Got a Moscato and was very crisp, sweet and still nice and strong. Not sure what brand it was. What really made it was our server, Rob. Apparently, he's new to the store but he cannot be new to the industry. He's absolutely great. Really genuine, recommended a GREAT dish that thoroughly impressed me and did a great job. He even ran out with my leftovers to my car to hand them to me. One of the best servers I've ever had. Even called and spoke with a manager to commend him. I've been before and I'll definitely keep going.

Rhode Island certainly isn't short on Italian dining options. I can't honestly say that Papa Razzi stands out from the crowd, but it certainly serves up tasty entrees and beverages. If I had any complaints, it is the cramped quarters. Don't expect privacy of conversation while enjoying your meal here, but you can expect good food and friendly, efficient and courteous staff. Another solid choice in the Italian dining category.

Love this place. The bread, the drinks, the meals, the desserts. All of it is delicious. Super cute atmosphere and the waitstaff is amazing. Everything I've ordered here has tasted amazing and the prices are a little higher but the food is so worth it. Recently brought a friend here for the first time and she can't stop raving about her meal.

This is another go to place. My friend Sue and I have come about three times, the first 2 times we had a server named Rocco who was charming and knew his Italian cuisine. Today we had Lucia who was just as charming and also knowledgable. sue had the gnocchi and I had the lamb risotto , it was all to die for! For drinks I had a Martini and My friend had a daqueri both were made with precise perfection(should've got the bartenders name, Lucia gushed they were great) for dessert we got some custard thing(I was a little sloshed so I forgot the name) Yummy! The caramel cappachino was the icing on the cake. I don't know where this place gets their staff but they are always top notch just like the food.

Two Words: Red Sangria. Went for apps and after work drinks with a friend at Papa Razzi. I had visited Papa Razzi for a work party last summer and I tried the Red Sangria for the first time. It was refreshing, sweet and a little more peachy tasting than your average glass. So, of course on my second visit that was the first thing I ordered. We ordered the Mozzarella Fritti and the Margherita Pizza to share. Though we loved the mozzarella, the pizza left a little something to be desired. The sauce was ok, but the texture of the crust was similar to fried dough which was left out a little too long. Will definitely be back for apps and drinks I will definitely forgo the pizza.

Hmmm I love outdoor seating, good bread and fresh food. Papa Razzi was awesome. Although my roommate and I only ate light ( a caprese salad, fried mozzarella and calamari) it was alll soo good! I want to go back and try an entree for sure. Their menu looked great. Service was excellent. I will be back my next shopping trip for sure!

My wife and I had eaten at this place a couple of years ago and both of us recalled it being ok, but far from great. We thought we would try this place again, since it had been quite a while. I ordered the salmon dinner and my wife had an italian pasta dish. The fish was cooked ok, but it was a little dry. The big issue was that the vegetables were severely under cooked. Also the waitress served the wrong vegetable with my meal. My wife's pasta dinner was also uncooked badly. Both of us were rather hungry, so we just decided to deal with the meal the way it was, rather than complain and send it. The service was ok other than the one mistake with my order, but it would have been nice if the waitress inquired about why we didn't finish our meals or want to take them home with us. ps, far better options near by. Just look around or you might need to hop in your car for just a bit.

I like this restaurant, the service has always been good, the food very creative and quality, I also think the price is reasonable. The decor and atmosphere make it a good call for both a casual lunch or dinner with friends. Plenty of parking.

We eat here regularly. The food ranges from seafood to steak with lots of pasta inbetween. The atmosphere is almost upscale, meaning i wear a tshirt and almost feel out of place. The prices are decent, as we spent 100 bux on two entrees(the most expensive ones) and 2 drinks each on our last trip. My only complaint about last time there was i think our waitress was new and getting trained because usually the service is really good.

Calamari appetizer was very good, served with a marinara sauce. Crispy, fresh rings and tentacles fried perfectly. We both had pomegranate martini's, very nice. Excited to try new menu, a little disappointed with our dinners. I got the grilled shrimp, polenta, arugula salad dish, it was tasty but for $24.99, a little pricey for a basically a salad with 4 shrimp on it. My husband ordered the gnocchi with bolognese sauce. Gnocchi was on the heavy side and the sauce did not have a lot a veal in it. Dinners were just okay, everything else was great, service was very good, atmosphere, clean restroom.

We have been to Pappa Razzi once a year for the past 4 years and have always had a great meal until today. We don't know if the kitchen was having a bad day but almost everything we ordered was not up to the standards we were used to with the establishment. We were very disappointed. The service was wonderful and management did their best to appease.

Grabbed an early dinner here today on a whim. Wanted to go somewhere a little nicer than Chelos or Applebee's. Papa Razzi hit the mark. My daughter and I both ordered salads and added tenderloin to them. The meat was cooked to perfection and tender - like butter!!! Rocco, our waiter, was a dream! Personable, professional and fun. We had some laughs together plus a nice relaxing meal with a few sangrias thrown in just to turn it up a notch!!

literally cannot get enough of this place. breads are to die for, the crunchy breadsticks, soft chewy faccocia bread dipped in the spicy red pepper oil. O.M.G. pink blush sangria - fruity, sweet and sinfully good. and lobster ravioli - a year later - home run!!! i will be back. again and again and again

Definitely a fan of this place. Staff have been great at every visit and I love that I can basically choose my items, that as the staff mentioned, the menu is really a suggestion. I'm a fan. Pasta is tasty as well as the sauces. And I'm always won over by fresh focaccia bread and spicy olive oil to go with it. Great location, staff and food. Will be back. I'm a fan of the rigatoni with sausage and crushed tomatoes-- simple, straightforward and super tasty.

I have been a fan of this restaurant for years! Dinners and brunch have always been great and service has always been pleasant. I love brunching! However, the last two times I went to brunch with my friends my favorite Tuscan Eggs Benedict was presented with very poorly poached eggs (think hard boiled with hollandaise). Everything else was great, but four poorly poached eggs shows they either need new people in the kitchen or need some training! I will go again but hope for better brunch!

A gorgeous spring evening, a gin gimlet in hand, and a plate full of RI-style calamari. What could be better than that? Nothin', kids. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail hour at Papa Razzi, and the fact that the always sweet and very profesh Kyle C was my waiter made it all the better. We were served warm focaccia, delicious olive oil, and that wonderful calamari with a balsamic reduction drizzle that Kyle recommended. I'm glad he did, because it made it absolutely wonderful. We were also treated to a lovely tiramisu, which was fluffy, fresh and mildly sweet - some of the best tiramisu I've ever had. I look forward to returning to Papa Razzi for a full-on meal sometime this summer - sitting on the patio is lovely and much more pleasant than the inside, which was actually a bit noisy and is the reason for me knocking off one star. Other than that, bravissimo!

I have eaten here twice and both times it was as good as it gets. Both times I had lunch and each time the service, the food, and the restaurant was excellent. Cleanliness is obvious throughout. The first time I had a chicken parmigiana Panini; this time I had the meatball Panini. Both were beyond excellent. Not only the portion size but the flavors, oh my, the FLAVORS; it's like Triple D in person! If you ever have the chance to try this location, DO IT - you will NOT be disappointed - I cannot wait to come back. I live on Cape Cod and don't get to the area often but this is THE location when I do. If you have any questions, email me directly at hjf774@yahoo.com . I only pray that they open a location on the Cape - this is NOT the Olive Garden!!!

One of my dear friends cites this restaurant as her favorite in Rhode Island. With many friends from across the country and two International guests coming together we felt Papa Razzi would be a phenomenal choice with its location, atmosphere and superb food. Being a Saturday evening plan, we called in advance to make a reservation. We were informed that our group of 7 was too large for a reservation between 6-8pm. We asked if they would still encourage us to come and how long the wait might be in the 6 o'clock window and were informed that they'd like us to come and thought it would be a 1/2 hour wait. Upon our 6:10 arrival we went to put our names in and we were told we could either wait until 8:30 (2+ hours) or we could split our party. I wanted to consult the others who were still 5-10 minutes out so I asked the hostess as much and asked her to hold the 8:30 spot for us while I checked. We observed there were many empty tables which was still the case once everyone had arrived so I checked in again and was told the same thing. When I asked about the empty tables I was told they were for reservations. I told the hostess thati couldn't see how all of this was good business and thanked her for her time but said I need to cancel the 8:30 hold as it was unrealistic. As I left, one of the other members of our party witnessed and oveeheard the hostessing staff gesturing and speaking disrespectively aboutour encounter. Our other friend (the one that is a huge fan of this place) went in to rather optimistically inquire about the rub regarding reservations and she was surprised to be spoken to in a negative and disrespectful manner and left to prevent furthering the situation. We took our business elsewhere and willkost likelynot return whether as individuals, couples or a group. Have a policy, stand by it, be able to verbalize it without misleading and never allow an interaction with your customer(s) take on a disrespectful or offensive tone. (Especially when unsolicited or undeserved.)

Just had dinner at Papparazzi and I cannot fully express how disappointing it was. We have always believed that Papparazzi is always consistent but we were wrong tonight. Our friend ordered three different bottles of wine before he selected something in stock. Nothing from management to express their concern. My husband and I ordered a salad before our meal but instead got our salads with our meals. My rigatoni and sausage was a baked dish that was unrecognizable and tasted of burnt sauce. At that point we were so hungry we are. In the end, avoid this place. There are too many better places to break bread in Cranston. Save yourself and learn from us!!!

What's going on with Papa Razzi??? I've dined here many, many times and always left very satisfied and pleased with the experience. However, my family dined there last night and were very disappointed. 5 stars for service, but that's were it ends. Mozzarella Bruchetta....had to search for any sign of mozzarella. We did find 3 pieces, so the waitress acknowledged that it was what we ordered. Calamari.....cold. But the biggest disappointment was the red sauce/gravy served with pasta and parmesan cutlets. The sauce is overly 'chunky'! I thought I was eating a bowl of salsa. Horrible. What happened to the nice smooth sauce??? Can't say I would visit again. All 4 of us were very disappointed in these changes.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a few times and we really enjoyed it each time. The restaurant was pretty inside with nice dim lighting. The food was great I ordered a grilled chicken Cesar salad and the chicken actually tasted like it came off a grill unlike most places where it tastes microwaved. My boyfriend had Shrimp Alfredo which he said was great. The drinks were delicious and the waiter was a nice guy. The prices were a little high but overall it was nice.

All the food was great. The Arrabbiata sauce had me craving spicy pasta for a week. The Gallo Al Forno was absurdly large, but delicious also. Good all around... except for that cocktail made with Blue Moon.. pass on that one.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice Italian restaurant to go to for his birthday and Papa Razzi immediately came to mind. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so welcoming. It was a Friday night so there was a 45 minute wait (yikes!), but we only ended up having to wait around 20-25 minutes. The menu seems a bit small but don't worry, if there's nothing that you seem to want on there, the kitchen will make you absolutely anything that you want if they have the ingredients available! I asked them if I could get penne with alfredo sauce and chicken and even though it was not on their menu, they made it for me, and it was super delicious! The service was also great, our waitress was so sweet and friendly, which is always a plus. It was a tad loud in the restaurant for my liking, but it was so nice and the food was good that that didn't really matter. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for good Italian food and have a few extra dollars to spend, as it is a bit pricey. The little breadstick looking crackers they give you are really addicting and the focaccia bread is absolutely delicious with the olive oil they have! Also should mention how generous they are with their portion sizes, you'll need to take some home!

We have been to Papa Razzi a few times and always have a nice meal. The waitstaff we had last night was fabulous, the waitress was training a waiter and they were both very pleasant. Our meals were both very good, salmon and a pasta dish along with dessert. I enjoy the sangria there as well. And of course you can't go wrong with the bread to start. I like how they offer nightly specials. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

A wonderful and enjoyable dinner! No doubt there are better Italian restaurants on Federal Hill in Providence, but for a chain restaurant in a mall parking lot, they sure do produce a fantastic product. I will personally endorse the tender and succulent Veal Parmigiana, and my wife counted her Chicken Marsala among the best she's ever had (with an extra thumbs up to the extra-tasty roasted potatoes on the side.) On the downside, the RI style calamari appetizer we ordered lacked punch, and I would suggest skipping it, though the batter-dipped hot peppers were an unexpected treat. Papa Razzi isn't the cheapest restaurant in town, or the quietest, but they are definitely worth the price.

If you're not a vegetarian, that's fine. But not many people know, that after twenty years if I eat meat now, I get very sick. My body just can't digest it. Having said that, I went for dinner here about 4 years ago and I have never gotten this out of my head. They start by asking you if you have been to Papa Razzis' before. I said no, I hadn't. They then go on to tell you that if you don't see something on the menu, they can make things to order. So I think, well they have vodka sauce on the menu, they can make me my favorite meal penne a la vodka! I get my meal, and it tastes funny, but I can't put my finger on it. Then something is in my mouth, I swear I think it might be meat. I take it out of my mouth, put it on the side of my plate, stare at it, and think nah! Can't be meat! I take another bite, repeat the process, and realize that yes, it's a chuck of ground beef. Holy crap. I call the waitress over, who KNEW I was a vegetarian, and ask her, is this meat? She says noooooo. I said, well can you check? She says sure. Next thing you know, the manager is at the table, telling me she's sorry. But no one at this point has told me this is definitely meat. So I try to not yell at her, and said "IS THIS MEAT??" and she says "yes. I'm sorry". This is when I check myself before I wreck myself. I jump up, and go for a smoke. I'm shaking in anger. Literally shaking. The manager follows me. BIG mistake. I tell her that if I end up in the hospital from being sick the restaurant will pay the bills. She said, yes, of course. I ended up with a stomach ache for the rest of the night. Jerks. I can tell you, I had some choice words for her outside too. Whatever, they obviously lost a customer. Who does that? At the same time, I was talking about it with a friend who has worked as a waitress most of her life, and she said it sounds like The chef had it out for the waitress, who probably went back and told him she had a vegetarian that would like penne a la vodka. He was pissed off at her and decided to fix that by throwing a handful of meat in the sauce. And it was a handful. Not much meat in the sauce at all. Too bad.

I've loved Papa Razzi for years now. You'd never know it's part of a chain. They make all of their food to order - if you want to add or omit something to/from a dish they'll do it for you! Great service! LOVE the insalata de charles and the crostini and fresh foccacia!

Nice place to bring the family. Rolatini app was good but the prosciutto was a little chewy. The staff needs to know the menu & beverages better. I got the salad with goat cheese and capers but it tasted & looked like Caesar salad ,so he took it back only to have it return because that's the way it is. Asked for a Miller Highlife or light which ever they had in that order, He forgot my beer & did not know they do not carry either. On the brighter side, my son had the pizza and still almost finished it after a day at Fenway. noshing! Over pretty good clean & warm atmosphere.

Very disappointing dinner tonight. Service was poor, salmon was dry, special "cod" was actually haddock, just priced like cod @ $26. My cocktail was weak and all ice so I ordered the second without ice and was served a 1/4 full glass of mostly juice! The focaccia and breadsticks were good and people were happy with their chicken dishes.

We like Italian cuisine and have always had a great meal with excellent service at Pappa Razzi. This Garden City location is no exception. After shopping my wife and I enjoyed dinner while sitting at the bar on Valentine's Day eve. While waiting for my wife to finish shopping I had a Tankeray 10 martini at the bar. Great young lady serving the bar recommended the Tankeray 10 as I usually get Bombay Sapphire. I enjoyed it very much When my wife arrived, she had a glass of Pino Grigio. The atmosphere here is friendly and authentic Italian. For dinner we split a Cesar Salad followed by chicken picatta for Beverly and capelli del angelo for me. Capelli del angelo is not on the menu anymore but they prepared it for me. I love that dish and order it almost every time at Pappa Razzi. Beverly loved her chicken picatta and shared a sample with me. Very tasty! We also love the focaccia bread with spicy olive oil. At the end we shared a brownie sundae, and I had espresso. When in Garden City we always dine here. Very nice!

Caved when my classmates called the shots for after school drinks. Had gone in Boston 4 years ago and meh. But, had such a GREAT time here last week. Service was awesome. Ask for Trevor or Melissa by name. Food was wonderful and I enjoyed my red wine sangria ever so.

Elegant service...tasty food. The focaccia is some of the best I've had...especially when dipped in the hot pepper oil. Today I had a 1/2 panzanella salad and a half order of gnocchi...was fabulous. Didn't know they had brunch. Wasn't in the mood today, but menu looked excellent.

I must say I LOVE Papa Razzi! I am never ever disappointed by this restaurant. I went last night, & despite foul weather they were A) open, B) the staff was warm & inviting, & C) the food was as delicious as ever. Dan was our waiter who made delicious wine & sangria (black bay sangria??) recommendations & our 4 courses were all knockouts. We had the carpaccio, insalata di Charles, the orecchiette pasta w/ crumbled sweet Italian sausage & broccoli rabe, & their brownie sundae with vanilla bean ice cream. It was my friend's birthday & they even went the extra mile late on a snowy night to put a candle in our dessert & sing. Great night.

Nothing But The Best. Great food and good portions for nice prices. The salads are the best and freshest that you will find anywhere. They are so big that everyone splits them. Even though this is a chain they still cook all meals to order. Last but not least the wait staff is the best you will find anywhere. give it a try you can't go wrong.

We have been to Papa Razzi a few times for brunch and were satisfied both times. This Papa Razzi is by far the best location we have been, the place is spotless, service is friendly, and food is solid. We have tried the omelets and a chicken piccatta type dish and both were extremely tasty. We will be back to dine outside!

I was impressed by the interior- the decor does not look like a chain restaurant. I was also initially intrigued by the menu as it also did not appear to represent the typical chain menu. After a closer look at the menu however there was simply five different kind of pasta dishes but with variations of basil, garlic, meat or sauce. I like the concept of everything being homemade from the bread to the pasta but nothing that I tasted jumped out at me as being any better than any other chain restaurant I had eaten at. I ordered good old trusty- chicken parm. It was a large flat piece of chicken- minimal flavor and my marinara was simply stewed tomatoes. No garlic, basil or any other flavor for that matter. While my dish was not bad...there was simply nothing great about it. The service was okay although one of my dining partners was convinced that it was our waitresses first day (ouch).

Papa Razzi is an Italian themed restaurant owned by Back Bay Restaurant Group (they also own Joe's American and a couple others I can't remember). They have a busy, fun atmosphere. Every time I dine here I end up lingering over my meal and relaxing. Seems to be part of the experience at a good Italian restaurant. The food here is very good and the service is very good. We have been served by Scott on two occasions. He is known as the singing waiter. Scott is very friendly and interesting to chat with. Very deep Baritone, great for Italian Opera. We have eaten here several times, and we had a problem once. The GM had us back to make up for it and picked up the tab. Every business has problems from time to time, it's how they handle the problems that sets them apart. They have some outside seating. I recommend Papa Razzi. Perhaps you will too.

I've only eaten here once and I loved it. Our server was super friendly & very knowledgeable of all the menu items. I had the rigatoni & my boyfriend had the agnolotti & we both loved our dishes. The proportions were also really big; I was only able to have half of mine. I would definitely come back here.

My wife and I went here tonight and totally regret ever going. Beginning from the complimentary bread the food was bland and poorly made. We ordered a Caesar's Salad (room temperature - yuck) and a Rigatoni Pasta dish (small and tasteless). First and last time, will definitely will not be coming back.

Blech! Loud...terrible food....what more could you ask for. Oh yes: Stephen Costantino of Costantino's Venda Ravioli sitting at the table in front of me. Does he really think this place is good? Veal parmigiana came out looking like a Stouffers frozen meal a and it didn't taste any better. Salty, cloyingly sweet tomato sauce and invisible mozzarella. Soggy breaded veal hunks...awful. I think (at least I hope) you can do better at your place Steven. What the hell were you doing here? Run away!

  • Jason A.

The experience was a little off the minute we walked in the door. The hostess looked surprised and confused. "Do you want to sit at a table?" Um No we just thought we would come in and stare at everyone else while they ate!? "Only 2?" Does it look like we should be more than 2? For our starter we had the bruschetta...it was drowning in balsamic dressing. I couldn't taste anything else. One positives is that the server did split the dish for us with out us having to ask. The Chicken Marsala was dry and the risotto of the day looked like the chef threw up am the plate. The flavors were good but for a $75 dinner I expect a little more. I could have made food just as good at home for less money. The atmosphere was nice but they sat a table of gossiping hens right next to us. The place is empty... you think you could space things out a bit. The Back Bay sangria was the highlight. Service was mediocre at best. He was more about sales then making a pleasant dining experience. We had to wait for ever to get our check. With alll the Italian restaurants in this area you need to pick up your game a little. I'd go back for drinks, maybe but only one or 2 at $9-$12 it will be a short night out.

I've been to the location in Boston quite a few times, but this was the first time at this site. The wait staff was friendly although not very efficient. They seem to have a hard time refilling water and drinks in general. And why is everyone in such a hurry to "wrap up my dinner" for me? Maybe I just wanna sit and scoot the noodles around a little bit. They have a good sized menu, lots of wine, and they even have Stella and Peroni on tap! I tried the mushroom tortellini while T tried the angel hair pasta. Both were great. They also bring out bread and surprisingly delicious hard breadsticks. Be warned though that the olive oil on the table is SPICY!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Papa Razzi! Insane. I have to say, I always love their appetizers and dessert. The entree has always been a hit or miss for me though. While the food is a solid three the extra star is for the wait staff. As many times as I have been there I have never had bad service. The waiters and waitresses are awesome, very accommodating, and personable. We always start off with the bruschetta with mozzarella. It really is to die for. I had the chicken picatta, I didn't love it the chicken was a tad slimey and the risotto was bland. But everyone else at the table had the special of the day which was Cod. Everyone enjoyed it, I think I just picked the wrong thing. I have had pizza's and other chicken dishes from there that were awesome. Don't ever skip dessert when you are there. The chocolate hazzlenut gelato is heaven and the almond cookies that accompany it are like a cherry on top. Dear old Dad and I shared the apple crisp with a huge scoop of vanilla gelato, it was so crisp and gooey, it was sinfully amazing.

I visited this spot which sits in an upscale shopping plaza in Garden City Center, which in itself looks out of place in this town. The place is a chain with many locations scattered all over the area. The inside is large an open and not a bad interior. The service is okay, not great but the servers are pleasant and helpful. The menu has many selections but it reminded me of a Bertuccis restaurant. The place has the chain restaurant feel. Th menu looks similar to an Olive Garden, but the prices are steeper. The selections are okay, not the most creative I have seen. The wine list is okay for a place like this as well. in the end the food was mediocre and run of the mill Italian and I wouldn't go back! Skip it!

I went to Papa Razzi's brunch today with a group of 8. Our server, Brian, was very on top of things and made us feel very welcome. I got the Tuscan Eggs Benedict, which has toasted foccacia, tomatoes, and pancetta along with the poached eggs. A bunch of people at the table got the french toast, which looked really tasty -- tons of poached fruit on top and they had made a little flag with a cinnamon stick and mint leaf on top. Each brunch entree comes with a complimentary mimosa or bellini, yay! We also had grissini, foccacia, and blueberry bread pre-meal. I would definitely come back here to check out their lunch or dinner.

This is a great place to go for business people at lunch. The pizza at lunch is inexpensive and fun. Even in this economy, when every other place seems slow, I found this place packed with a lunch hussle and bussle. I will remember this restaurant for my next business lunch.

Went in for lunch with my family this week. Interior was clean and well appointed...our waitress, Larissa, was excellent...on point with everything, a great, welcoming attitude and superior service. She was the highlight of the visit...the rest, well, not so much. It is very loud during lunch time...not so much that you have to scream to your dining companions, but you do ned to yell above the din. The food was uninspiring. I had the chicken piccatta and was served three overcooked medallions with a brown (???) lemon gravy on it. The risotto was ok...but I would never order this dish again. Subpar for a chain that portrays itself Italian. While the Chocolate cake for desert was better than the entree, it's sort of like being the best water polo team in Alaska...not much competition. Italian food in Rhode Island means you better bring your A game, chefs...and in this encounter, you barely rated a C-

Papa Razzi is certainly serviceable, especially considering it's a chain. Their pizza is decent and their pasta dishes are OK but for the price there are better places. We go to Papa Razzi when we don't want to drive to Providence and can't agree on another restaurant. Papa Razzi seems like it would be a fun place to stop and grab a drink with friends.

About Papa Murphy

Papa Murphy is one of the top pizza chains in the United States. Papa Murphy was formed after the merger of two popular local pizzerias namely Papa Aldo's and Murphy's respectively. The trend of "take and bake" pizzerias gained popularity in the United States during the early 90s. The growing popularity these two take and bake pizzerias located in Hillsboro, Oregon and Petaluma, California respectively gave the idea of a possible merger to Terry Collins.

In 1995, Terry Collins consolidated the merger and founded Papa Murphy and expanded the pizza chain across 1300 outlets in the United States and Canada. Customers can relish Papa Murphy pizzas by simply walking into the nearby Papa Murphy outlet or simply order online or call-in to pick up the order later. Some Papa Murphy outlets also feature a drive-thru window where you can pick up your call-in order. Today, Papa Murphy is owned by MTY Food Group. Papa Murphy is the 5th largest Pizza Chain in the United States.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
