I really hate to leave a bad review, but the fact that this cake is still on my mind when I was married a few years ago means something. We ordered a 4 tier "fake" cake for our wedding. The top layer would be real and we would use it for the cake cutting ceremony (guests would receive a slice of cake provided by the venue). So 3 layers fake (a fondant over styrofoam layers and 1 real edible cake for the cutting ceremony). The only part of the cake that was attractive was the fake layers. The top layer was slanted down.. A lot! It looked very unprofessional. Now I know stuff happens, but never once did we get a call or even a note left apologizing for the mistake. Better yet, an envelope with at LEAST $100 refund, something!! Even worse the photo is on her website which makes me think.. Is she proud of this cake??? When we met with her I had every reason to be confident my cake would come out nice. What we ordered was a very simple cake and I mean simple. She came highly recommended by my hairdresser, so ladies, you'll understand. Even my photographer had to maneuver around the messed up cake to get a decent photo and I ultimately chose to leave it out of my wedding album. Now, I know, I know.. The cake isn't the most important part of the wedding and doesn't make for a happy marriage, I get it, but it's not okay to have a lopsided wedding cake you paid $400 for. I have never even received a lopsided cake from Stop & Shop. :(
