Hold up. Bonefish Brunch? An absolute NECESSITY. I'm not sure where else (if anywhere) in Rhode Island you can get bottomless beverages paired with a very delicious brunch. The staff here is highly attentive and the food is prepared so perfectly. If TV's are a must for you sports freaks out there, I'd highly recommend sitting at a booth in the bar area to catch the games as we did. Short story short, you really cannot go wrong with a Sunday game day brunch at this spot. The views are gorgeous and I know I'll be a regular this season. Cheers!

I probably would never have come here had it not been for a Yelp Elite event but I'm glad that I went! The event paired drinks with a sampling of their appetizers and everything was delicious. The bang bang shrimp is delicious, and we were big fans of the ahi tuna and the DIY Doughnuts.. Not a huge fan of the oysters with cheese and spinach in them, but even with them being my least favorite, they weren't terrible. OH and the lamb chops! For a place that is all about the fish, the lamb chop lollipops were awesome. We won a gift card and came back a few weeks later and were able to enjoy a few cocktails and appetizers on them! The next time I'm in the mood for some seafood (and the mood to venture out of Providence) bonefish grill will definitely be an option.

Delicious. Rainbow trout with au gratin potato and French beans was dynamite. The seared ahi tuna app was wonderful. Thank you so much for a great meal. Things were slow due to the computer meltdown, but it was very good.

Have to admit, I rarely venture outside Providence for super tasty foods. No offense to Cranston, but PVD has so many places! However, Yelp PVD Invited a friend of mine to an event there tonight and I was super impressed. They paired drinks with small bites off their menu and each was better than the last! Try the Bang Bang shrimp or the DIY beignets! I'm glad I got to test this place out!

I really love this place -- the service is impeccable, for sure. It's very rare that you encounter everyone, from host to manager, as friendly and caring. The view from the hill is nice and the restaurant is clean, modern, and quite pretty. Food is overall pretty great. I've tried a few things I loved and a few things I didn't. This is the only reason for giving a 4 rather than 5 star review. I love the bang bang shrimp for sure. Super tender, delicious sauce. Shrimp and scallop skewer is delicious and perfectly cooked. The sides left me hoping for more, though. I tried the truffle mac and cheese, and it was a big letdown. The sauce was watery and not very cheesy. It definitely needed some salt as well. The potatoes au gratin were also bland. I'm not a big salt person, so this indicated a problem. Interestingly, the seasonal veggie side was over salted. What the heck? I ordered on another occasion the fish and chips. The fish was obviously frozen and a bit overcooked. Too tough and rubbery. Any "fresh" fish dish (higher on the price point) never disappoints, though. I just want to say that, despite all this, I'd go back, and often. The folks here are amazing and the quality of seafood preparation is hard to find. The bar is also quite lovely and cocktails never disappoint! Try it out!

Went for dinner last Friday night. This is not the first time I've been to Bonefish Grill in fact it's a go to restaurant for us. I had the prix fix menu which included a salad and dessert. My husband had a salad and the ahi tuna appetizer as his entree. We shared the oysters appetizer special which was fantastic. The food was great as always and the atmosphere perfect for and pending of the work week dinner out. Not too quiet and not too noisy. We also shared a bottle of wine. Service was friendly and professional. I highly recommend you get the cinnamon sugar donuts. They come with a squeeze bottle of caramel and chocolate to go with. yummy! The bill came to $92.... We had an online coupon for $10 off

It wasn't bad, it wasn't good. That really sums up every part of my experience here. The service was good, but the menu was very overpriced for the quality of the food. We ordered oysters and spicy shrimp for our appetizers. The oysters were fine - not good, not bad. The quality of the shrimp was good, but the portion was small. They came reasonably promptly. My meal was a lobster roll - at just shy of $20, I expected something bigger and better. It was rather small, and the meat wasn't as succulent as it should have been for a Rhode Island seafood selection. All in all, I don't really have anything to rave about or anything to complain about. It's just... okay. I'd go back if someone else was going, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

About 7 years ago, in Florida, I met friends at a Bonefish Grill. The food and the evening were A-okay. When Bonefish Grill opened in Cranston, RI, I did not rush to dine there especially since I am not an avid fish eater. This evening I had the privilege to try their em items and I cannot express to the public how phenomenal the food and drink beverages were along with the service and kindnesses of the manager and the entire staff. From the fresh and refreshing watermelon Icicle Aphrodisiac Martini to the great wines and then to the Expresso Martini, fabulous is a which provides perfect description.Oysters Rockefeller were tasty with their bacon finish as was the creamy smooth Bang, Bang shrimp and I don't ever eat shrimp! WOW! And, the grilled lamp chop lollipops were so nicely grilled with a sweet caramelized finish. My favorite was the melt in your mouth sea bass - flaky and tender. Mmm-good, no mmm- great!!! There was so much more to taste, but the stomach was getting quite full. Dessert, however, was out of this world-three warm croissant-like doughnuts, tossed in cinnamon sugar, served with sea salt caramel and chocolate sauce. There just are no words left to describe this exhilarating foodie experience. Keep up the superb service, the smiles, and the phenomenal quality of food and especially the perfect presentation. Kudos to you Cranston's Bonefish Grille. You are very, very unique and special!

Wonderful service, a perfect martini, and world-class, to-die-for bowl of clam chowder all made nearly irrelevant by an entree of overcooked tilapia-like fish in a flavorless, mushy batter. Darn. It was almost a perfect night out, as we enjoyed our drinks and appetizers watching dusk turn to night above the Cranston skyline, through the restaurant's impressive wall to ceiling windows. (Tip: just make believe that giant red Petco sign isn't there.)

I have been to the Bonefish Grill in Chapel View Cranston twice, and both times we were very disappointed. The first time I went with a friend, and the service was very slow, the portions small, and the menu overpriced. The food was decent, but not worth what we paid for them. I am not fond of stuffing myself, but portions were meager. The second visit was even worse - my sister and I went with our elderly father. The layout is not friendly to senior citizens - the floor is slippery and we had to climb up into a booth. On this occasion, the service was absolutely horrible, with us waiting over 20 minutes to get a drink. The salads were fine - but it took over 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive - and the restaurant was not busy at all. Furthermore, one entrée did not arrive at all - because they had apparently made some sort of mistake in preparing it; but no-one told us. Once again, the portions were small - and the side dishes were barely a teaspoon. Even our dad complained, and the bill was outrageous for what we received. Never again.

I had a great birthday dinner here about a month ago with my fiancé. We both got non-seafood dishes (I had a salad with chicken, he had a steak), but all was delicious. The waitress was great and brought out the yummy chocolate brownie dessert for my birthday. I just wish they had some lighter dishes - even the salad was a lot more calories than I usually eat for dinner, which I was disappointed to learn when I checked the nutritional info afterwards. And the dessert... well, you can imagine - the whole thing was about 4x the amount of calories I normally eat for dessert, and I have a BIG sweet tooth. Thank goodness we shared it and didn't finish it!

I stopped in for drinks and appetizers this past weekend and sat at the bar. The staff at the bar were notably professional. Our server introduced herself and the other 2 bartenders and invited us to ask any of them for help during our visit. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and at our server recommendation, the mussels. The bang bang shrimp was perfectly cooked. I would return and order that alone! it was crunchy with the perfect amount of heat served on a bed of iceberg lettuce. The mussels were also excellent, I can see why our server recommended them, We then put in an order for the asian calamari. I was not a fan of that , but 2 out of 3 are not bad. I found the calamari to be chewy and i wasn't a fan of the asian seasoning. All in all, i enjoyed bonefish and will return to try some other dishes.

Terrible. Frozen Seafood on the east coast. Are you serious?!?! Scallops were terrible. If you want chain seafood at a higher price by all means. Shrimp was okay, oysters were mehhhhh. I don't know how this place is open in our location. Everything was mediocre if you want good food in this area just go down stairs to chapel grill

Very good food really. Needs a bit more attention to new server. Better training. Seem to have too many young people. The Sea Bass was awesome. In any flavor. The Abi tuna is also awesome. I like this place, although it's a chain, they got potential to be a regular place to visit.

Corporate "Italian???" cusine? Maybe Olive Garden quality or a little better? I bought gift cards to this place for my family. We went for a brunch one Saturday or Sunday. It was a great time. The server was very nice and and helpful. They had a nice deal on drinks that was part of the brunch deal. We ordered two apps, one was a bay scallop dish. Not bad, not stellar either. It didn't have any noticeable sweetness from the bay scallops, in fact it was a little off. The other was a fried shrimp app, it was pretty tasty. My main dish was a Kobe beef burger. I am a meat eater. I heard so much about Kobe so I was a little excited. I didn't notice anything out of this world. It was a good burger. I would go back. This isn't a place I day dream about though.

Wish I could give ZERO star!! Got there early-ish on a Friday evening (before 6:00), place had maybe a dozen other diners. Seated us on the bench with the sun pouring in. Asked to be seated somewhere else, and they told us that they have to follow a seating rotation for the servers. They did close the blinds, but it was still hot and sunny. Erica was friendly at first, but when we didn't order cocktails, she stopped liking us. I ordered the Shrimp/scallop plate for $20.00, but when I asked for the broccoli instead of the already included vegetable, I was told there was a "small" upcharge. The shrimp were just that, SMALL! AND DRIED OUT!!The ONE scallop looked like it had been cut in half and cooked for 3 days. SO DISAPPOINTED for our first time. I sent e-mail to the web site over a week ago and still no response! From what I've read here, they don't seem to value or care about customer service! Too many other places to go then waste my time and money going back.

When my wife and I first arrived we sat at the bar and got the bang bang shrimp, very good. staff very professional. For dinner my wife ordered the bang bang tacos, she loved it. I got the fish And chips. Great batter but they forgot the fish. I mean i got four skinny little piece and it was almost all batter. If i go back i certainly won't be getting the fish

I am a fan of Bonefish yes. We went for a rainy afternoon lunch and had tasty fish tacos with mango salsa, chowder, po'boys, and pesto pasta. All amazing. They do the mini tacos with a wonton wrapper shell, its a little messy but so worth it! The drinks were good and fruity, maybe a little short on the pour but hey it was lunch time, lets not get crazy. haha Unfortuately, I cannot give this place a five star rating due to the fact we go rained on in the dining room. I thought it was maybe some wonton shell debris falling into my water glass and splashing me on the head, then I thought about it and looked up. Yup it came from above. Honostly, it really wasn't that bad but it was a bummer because sitting in the window is a treat, rain or shine. The view is great. The hostess offered to move us over a table, but we already were enjoying our food and decided a few drops won't make us melt. After dessert the girls at the table behind us started getting dripped on also, we all cracked a joke about it and laughed it off. We did get a dessert on the house due to the leak, It was nice, but next time I'll sit at the bar!

By far the best restaurant in the Garden City vicinity. Wait staff knows the menu and how food is prepared like the chef in the kitchen. Food is plated beautifully, taste and freshness of the fish could not be better. Bat area is spacious and can accommodate many and you can dine there as well. Prices are good to moderate and located next to Chapel Hill Grille which by the way is over priced and you get very little food on your plate. Bone Fish Grille is a place you would gladly return to often. Trust me, you will be very pleased.

A friend and I met here for dinner since I had a Living Social deal. I don't think I would have tried it otherwise since it's a chain and there are fantastic local places to get seafood. I had heard good things from Florida friends so I gave it a shot. I don't think I'll be back again. First off, this place is beautiful inside with fantastic views. I wish the food had been nearly as good. My friend ordered a dish and asked for no parmesan. I was surprised when the server came back and explained that the sauce was pre-made and couldn't be altered so she chose something else. I would have thought that a restaurant like this one could accommodate dietary requests. She did really enjoy the grilled fish that she went with instead. I was disappointed in my rainbow trout, it was really greasy. The service was ok, nice but not that knowledgeable about the menu.

The only Bonefish Grille in R.I. and although I'm 45 minutes away, well worth the drive. The soups are very good but I also wished they had the corn crab chowder as in so many of the other restaurants. The bang bang shrimp appetizer is awesome! (and on Tuesdays only can get it for $6) The Thai Coconut Shrimp equally as awesome. And of all the restaurant chains in the few states I've gone to...THIS one has the largest shrimp, always fresh and delicious. Never disappointed. The wedge salad can be easily shared. Any fish dish worth the wait. They will even accommodate you with any sauce on your dish. The service is very attentive and professional. The ambience and noise level acceptable. We look forward to the trip when in the mood for Bonefish Grille. This is a keeper!!! We sometimes just order two appetizers and share a salad and soup. Only because we love those appetizers so much. Enjoy your time there!

Friends recommend we try this place, and while I'm not a typical fan of chain restaurants - I must say we were delighted. *Fantastic view from Chapel Hill *Warm bread; tasty and served with pestoed EVOO *$8 cocktails, $5 sangria My salmon was grilled to perfection, with my choice of topping - I went down the mango chutney lane and was glad I did. All fish entrees are served with a seasonal vegetable AND your choice of side, which I loved. I opted for the pumpkin raviolis in brown butter and sage. Delicious, and ample enough for lunch the next day. All this and a gluten free menu - perfect for those that abstain. We will definitely be back when I hope to partake in happy hour.

I visited Bonefish Grill recently for the first time to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We were a fairly large party, but the service was attentive. I started out with a lemon drop martini which was made perfectly, although the syrup used to rim the glass slowly made its way down the glass, causing very sticky fingers only halfway through drinking my cocktail. We split a bunch of appetizers among the table. The calamari was alright, but sliced rather thickly and a bit too chewy for my taste. The bang bang shrimp was a definite highlight. Nice texture and flavor. I'd happily order this again in the future. For my entree, I selected the grilled trout with lemon butter sauce with the side of haricot verts and whipped garlic potatoes. The sides were flavorful, although somewhat modest portions. The fish was a good portion (the whole butterflied fish as opposed to a single fillet), and overall had good flavor from the sauce, but was on the dry side. For what it was, it was a pretty tasty piece of fish, but it wasn't the best I've had. For the most part, my dining companions enjoyed their meals, but I didn't find the food particularly outstanding. I wouldn't necessarily jump at the chance to visit here again, but I wouldn't turn down an invitation either. It kind of walks the line between good and simply alright. I haven't been blown away but I'd give it another chance to wow me.

Writing this review after visiting this Cranston location about 3 times over the past year or so. Let me start by saying that Bonefish in Florida and others have always impressed me. This location does have spotty service but that is due to a really young inexperienced staff that seems to turnover quickly. On this visit the service was great (the 2 stars). The issue with this location is simply the lack of portions you receive versus the price paid. Had the cod imperial, no scallops and a 4 ounce piece if fish. Mgr says it should be 6oz which must be precooked because it was laughable. Paid extra for the asparagus and received 4 small stalks. Salad barely covered the plate. GF had the sea bass which was ok. Ordered full size and again on the small side. Seasonal vegetables were 4-5 quarter sized pieces of squash which the mgr confirmed the squash is also portioned. Really portioning the squash. Bottom line. If you are heading to Bonefish in Cranston bring a search warrant, you may need it to find your meal. In the Ocean State it is hard to find a restaurant that serves a 6oz piece of cod. Keep in mind we are not landlocked like South Dakota. The logo of the stripped down "bone fish" is quite fitting. No really. See my review of Crows Nest if looking for good RI seafood.

so i/we have been here twice now (in 2 years). i really like this place and have not heard any complaints from any one else in my party both times. 1st time had the Chilean sea bass, very nice. this time was a haddock special, excellent. each time we all enjoyed the bang, bang shrimp, nice spice. as far as portions are concerned my wife felt the portion sizes were ideal. everyone finished their meal and felt adequately full. Seven people ate and drank for $250. Not any more i would expect for this location. the only complaint i have is from this visit. the wait staff dressed in kitchen garb was distracting.

Giving it two stars, but we are going to call this a one and done. With all of the restaurants in Ri we would have thought this place was great. We were greeted by a snooty host that asked us if we had a reservation and we said no. The restaurant was sparsely populated. We were seated at high tables in a bar area that were not meant for people 5 ft 5 and below. Note to guys...careful about seating if you take a date here. Floors were slippery some poor woman fell right on her bum. It took ages to get sparkling water. Bartender was perfect. Best drink ever. Apps were perfect. Main courses we had to send back after waiting forever. We were told the kitchen was running behind. Our rice was hard and dry. Some was over cooked some was not cooked. Vegetables on both ayes were stone cold. Tuna was not cooked as ordered. Someone put a quarter jar of capers on my cod and it overpowered it and made me stomach ill. Waitstaff was very apologetic and we kept getting interrupted whilst we were trying to eat the food we had to wait 2x for. They did not charge us for our meals despite us telling them we would pay. We made it up on the tip. Awkward experience and we know ri has better to offer other than bonefish for 20$+ a plate.

Great Oysters, 11 Blue Points for something like $10.95. The grilled shrimp and scollops were very good, the fish and chips were above average, the server was polite and attentive, but the cooperate training (pushing certain drinks and appetizers) get tedious. I liked the room and it has a great view. Another yelp mentioned the greeting and we had the same experience, asking if we had a reservation, I did not, and was brought to a high top in the bar even though the restaurant was virtually empty, I asked to be seated at a normal table and with no fuss was seated in the restaurant. If you can get by the over trained corporate feel of this place you will probably enjoy the food. Another example of a place that needs yelp to allow half stars, this place is better than a three but four is a stretch. Simply put a 3.5.

Went there tonight for the first time in RI. I have been to other restaurants from this chain in other cities...all of them have been OK....nothing exceptional...but we decided to give it a try. We decided to split three items...here is the feedback... Wagyu Beef + Ginger Dumplings - they were doughy and kind of overly seasoned... Ceasar Salad - Good..but again, just romaine lettuce with dressing...not too difficult Fish and Chips - Horrible.... The batter around the fish was undercooked, doughy and almost rare in some areas. The fries were not crispy. I left 70% of my fries on the plate....and I LOVE fries...I usually finish mine and then get some more from my BF... These were horrendous. The server was enthusiastic and nice, never came to refill the water glasses though. As we were leaving, the Managing partner asked how the meal was...and we mentioned the shortcomings. He said....you should have told us right then and we would had fixed it...that was a nice touch... but we were starving and if the kitchen allows subpar food like that to come out....that is just not good.. He gave us two coupons for complementary apps for next time...... There will be no next time...

Went there for brunch this past Easter with reservations and was disappointed. The hostess had no smile on her face like she did nut want to with at all. We were a party of 4 and asked the male hostess if we could move to window tables since they were empty and more roomy then the tables in the middle and he looked around and said they were going to get really busy so couldn't put us there. We asked him to ask his manager he basically looked over to the manager and said no sorry can't put you there....without even asking. So that already put us in a negative mood. The waitor I have to say....was really good and informative. My food...creme brulee French toast was very mediocre for the price. Good thing I had a gift certificate because I would not have paid over $110 for our brunch. Harriets Kitchen...gives you A LOT more for your buck and much better service. Will I go back?????? Probably NOT!

  • Trish S.

Well, this time...not so good. The food was good, but they are not paying attention. I had mold on my bread...the embarrassed manager made it right by comping my appetizer. My potatoes were cold, my granddaughter was served a mangled fork and she said Olive Garden child's mac and cheese was better. The cold potatoes won me a comp strawberry shortcake for my granddaughter. Now that was some really awesome strawberry shortcake, best I've ever eaten. Portions were not great. Chilean Sea Bass, a $30 entree...a 4 oz piece of fish, a small ice cream scoop of potatoes and a few green beans. That really set me off. As much as I like the food, it's not a value and I probably will not go back.

Shared ahi tuna appetizer and the Chilean sea bass. Both were awesome! The ahi tuna was plentiful. The service was not fantastic. The white wine my in laws ordered was not chilled, so there was a long wait to get their wine out. The bread came out about 20 minutes after we sat down. Aside from that, it was pretty good.

Been here plenty of times and decided to give it a review. From the moment you walk in the ambiance is nice and welcoming... I've been here with the kids and they are very kid friendly. With the paper sheets on the table you can't go wrong for the kids. The servers wearing the chef coat gives the restaurant a knowledge of the food they serve. All the servers know their food. That's a plus. The food is good. Good flavits and combinations, a little pricy but I guess for the service and ambiance you do have to pay a hefty price. I had the swordfish last time I went and it was cooked so perfect it melts in your mouth. Overall it's a great family or a dive restaurant.

Our visit started out great! The ambiance is beautiful, the drinks were good, I really like the twist they put on Clam Chowder with the bacon flavor to it. Unfortunately our meals were sub par, and the quantity was pathetic. Ive been meaning to write this review for sometime. I cannot recall what we ordered, just that it was forgettable.

We went on a Saturday afternoon. Not that many people there. So my criticism is how long it took too get our food. At least 40 minutes and there were hardly no people in this place. Gosh....why so long. Bartender was nice but took her forever to come over to us. would hate to be there on a busy night. Food was good, for that reason I'll give it a 3. For this type of place, and I know it's a chain, they should be way more efficient. Not sure we'd go back.

Went to Bonefish with 3 friends for dinner. Was so impressed with the courtesy of the waitstaff and how accommodating they were to our seat selection. They're well-trained knowing the ingredients of each dish as well as the flavors. We tried the Bronzino, Mahi and 2 steaks. The meats were grilled wonderfully! Fish was moist and *not* soaked in butter/oil as too many restaurants tend to do. Generous portions and styled platings. We asked for vegetables substitutions and were readily accommodated. They even brought a side of the wonderful Garlic Mashed Potatoes for us to share. Will definitely return, highly recommended!

Went to Bonefish tonight for the first time in RI. I had been to previous locations a while back and remember it being good. Upon arrival we did not have a reservation and were seated in a high table near the bar area which we prefer anyway so that was good for us. The ocean trust martini was excellent and our appetizer of the Thai coconut shrimp was even better. Our entrees were good but next time I am going to order just drinks and apps. There were so many great choices for apps, soups and salads to pick from I think I will go back and take that route instead. Overall good experience and friendly staff. I'll be back.

When they first opened this place was great. The service and food was amazing, however, I feel recently (or maybe just that night) they started to fall down the ladder. The service wasn't that great. Our waitress was rarely to be found and when we did see her she was too busy with guest that I assume are "regulars". The fish was over cooked and the steal was rare...couldn't ask for a correction because our waitress was too busy at the table next to the bar talking about different languages and the manager was opening a delivery box in the dining area not too concerned. Disappointed not sure if we will be back

This was our first time trying this place and I'm glad we gave it a try. I would definitely come back here again. We had called in advance by 3 hours for reservations. When we arrived we were promptly seated the moment we checked in with the hostess. One thing I noticed and was concerned with was the size of the main room and the overall number of parties in the room. I don't hear well out of one ear, so I thought this could be an issue. It wasn't an issue at all. I'm not sure if they have some type of sound proofing in the walls or the higher ceilings my help in this regard, but I would call it rather quiet for the size of the place. The atmosphere is nice and even better if you can get one of the window views. There was four of us in our party and we had 2 fish dinners, a lobster sandwich and a chicken marsala dish. All of the dishes were large sized plates with plenty of food. So no one would leave hungry for sure. I tried the Trout and was very good. It was crispy on the outside while moist on the inside as well. Everyone finished most of all of their meals and everyone was pleased. The meals are all reasonably priced for better than average quality food.

Waited 25min to sit in the bar area because of "reservations". The place was just as empty when we got there when we left...NOT recommend for a romantic dinner! Food was fine, service was ok... I will not be in a rush to go back!

I cant believe I forgot to review the BFG ( as my over enthusiastic roommate calls it). My roommate lived 2 years in New Orleans and apparently lived off Bonefish Grille, so imagine his delight when we stumbled across it in Cranston. And I can't blame him. This place was awesome! I don't remember what day of the week but one day is the half priced shrimp app. Its like the greatest shrimp I've ever had lol I ate the whole appetizer. Our entrees were delicious and they brought a really nice dessert for my friends birthday. Byyy farrr the best chain restaurant I've dined at in a while!

I feel bad for this establishment for the fact that they're sitting in the most critical seafood market on the east coast. The menu is kinda boring, and the flavor is lacking, unless you go big, like the bang bang shrimp. Service is okay but odd. They'll talk your ear off more than you want, and there's something about not serving from a tray that I'm not fond of. The view of another restaurant is somewhat comical, in that I found myself thinking "I should've gone there", the whole time. Hostesses are very pleasant though ,so there's a warm reception and departure. Maybe this place is best suited for drink and apps at the bar, but skip the dining room experience.

Delicious Arctic char dinner with fresh spring veggies. Great server Christine. Go to place for overall good fresh tasty food.

Great local chain restaurant! I highly recommend the infused dirty martini - citron vodka soaked in olive juice for three days. Perfect way to end a work week!

I know that it's a chain, but Bonefish Grille is completely consistent and absolutely delicious. The vegetables are clearly fresh--not frozen--and the fish has great char on it. We definitely belong to the clean plate club! We sat at the bar and were so glad that we did. The Sunday-night bartender was fantastic. He was personable, had a great sense of humor, and made fantastic drinks! The margarita was the one of the best I've ever had, made with tequila, grand mariner, and fresh-squeezed orange juice to add a different flavor. YUM! He knew I liked cherries, so he brought me a few extras in a glass, and then brought us three blue-cheese-filled olives. Again, YUM! The portions are perfect. If you are hungry, you can easily eat the entire plate, but you don't leave feeling overstuffed. The price is reasonable for what you get. We'll be back!

On Saturday, May 31, 2014 at approximately 9:35 p.m., I had the worst experience in my life at Bonefish Grill Restaurant in Cranston, Rhode Island. My best friend and I proceeded to the location for late night appetizers and drinks. We had both worked all day and the week. This was going to truly be a treat as we had run home to spruce up and dine the night away. Our night came to screeching halt as we entered the establishment and were not greeted or seated, we approached the bar area and searched for a place to sit at the counter top bar - finally we had to ask another patron if she wouldn't mind removing her purse from accompanying a free bar stool so that we could sit together. The fiasco doesn't end there but begins with being ignored and again never greeted, welcomed or served. The area in front of us had a left over napkin and a menu possibly from the woman next to us. I refused to pick up or touch the napkin but my friend begin to review the menu in preparation that someone would come to take our orders. The bartender and wait staff ignored us. It became apparent we were not going to served or welcomed here. We gathered ourselves and reached for our purses with dignity and prepared to leave, I reviewed the area so that I could confident and definite on what took place and the atmosphere to remember never to come back here. There was a birthday party of about 12 to 14 people sitting at a high top table, 3 or 4 pairs and a single guy on his cell phone at the end of the bar. The parking lot was not full. We had parked directly at the entrance way. Upon exiting, I went towards the concierge/hostess desk because I saw business cards (Manager's name is Adam Arzoomanian on card) and knew I had to address this issue when I was calmer and not upset. There was a young woman and man standing there and as I reached for the business card the young chirped to me, "have a great night". I responded quickly, "how so ... we were never served?" And turned and we walked away. There was no call backs of wait, what happened or please don't leave or do you want to speak to my manager. As a matter of fact I stared at the glaring car clock it was 9:58 p.m., the two hostess watched and stared at us get in the car. We actually had to sit and gather ourselves because we were having meltdown and flashbacks to what we both knew was discrimination and segregation having family from the South. But this was/is 2014 - right? What just happened here? Did I just relive The Birmingham Lunch Counter Sit-In? I knew my Civil Rights Act of 1964 was to ban racial segregation "by businesses offering food, lodging, gasoline, or entertainment to the public." But what was going on here??? Your slogan says, "happiness here". I have to strongly disagree. As my friend drove away looking for a safe, friendly and welcoming place to eat I refused to believe this was my Welcome Back to Rhode Island night. We traveled into Providence although we live Warwick for a late night eatery as it was after 10:00 p.m. now. Our final destination ended well with The Kartabar Restaurant* on Thayer Street full of high-energy and an attentive waiter by the name of Aggie and a manager who greeted, welcomed and hoped we would return soon. Our bill + tip: $120 More wonderful review on this establishment later. Probably no big deal to your wait staff but overall to a company and branding, I think it is. I read some of the other comments and complaints and there's a consensus here: lack of management and poor service. Unfortunately, I have no guest ticket/receipt to take your Guest Survey because we were never served so I am forced to pen-to-paper - thank goodness computer and internet to share this ordeal with someone at your organization. By the way, my friend tried to convenience me she had eaten at this Bonefish Grill and I remarkably told her this wasn't my first to the rodeo. I, too, had been to four establishments in and around the Maryland area: Glen Burnie, Annapolis, Gaithersburg and Owings Mills.

I've been here twice and it's better each time. The food has always been excellent and service has improved each time (normal learning curve of a new restaurant). All of the bartenders and servers are very friendly and attentive. I had an issue for a takeout order but when I called, the manager went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed, thank you Keith! I grew up 5 minutes from the original bonefish in Florida and I'm thrilled they have finally come to Rhode Island. I recommend the house salad and the bang bang shrimp!

This is a good addition to area restaurants. The restaurant is relaxed and classy but not at all stuffy. Prices are very reasonable and we had a totally enjoyable meal. The menu features seafood of course, with an emphasis on wood grilled items. I had dorado (mahi mahi) with mango salsa for my entree and it was excellent. The fish was grilled perfectly and the sides were tasty and all was piping hot. My wife got salmon, also excellent. They have a good selection of appetizers and an extensive list of wines by the glass. The staff was pleasant and professional, everything was smoothly handled from the greeting when we entered, to the time we left. I look forward to going back soon.

Bonefish Grill was just as other reviewers described it: reasonably priced, excellent service, good food. Hubby loves mussels and the PEI mussels here were, "Really, really good," according to him. We shared those as well as some bacon wrapped scallops and complimentary bread (the bread was "okay" - not bad, not spectacular). I didn't care for the oily "pesto" that it comes with. For our entrees hubby had the Kobe beef burger and I had one of the guest faves, the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were good, not spectacular, but not bad either. And I guess that "not spectacular, not bad" pretty much sums up our experience at Bonefish Grill.

Came here for the first time Saturday night with my husband. I made a reservation for 6 PM, and we were a tad early and had to wait for our table to be ready. Our server was very pleasant and came to the table just the right amount of times. We skipped appetizers and went straight for entrees. They served us warm bread that came with a pesto and olive oil dip on the side. The dip was good, the bread was too airy for me (I like a good dense bread). I ordered the Cod Imperial which was a piece of cod topped with various other seafood in a cream sauce. It came with a side of spaghetti squash and I also got the steamed seasonal vegetables with it. The fish was just ok; it was just a piece of fish covered in a cream sauce which I think had other pieces of seafood in it? Not really sure. The spaghetti squash was good and I really liked the steamed veggies as they still had a good crunch to them. My husband ordered the Diablo Shrimp pasta dish. I liked his dish better, but he thought it was too spicy for him (he probably shouldn't have ordered a spicy dish to begin with, but that's neither here nor there). The view was quite lovely and like I said, our server was great, but nothing really wowed me. I might go back with some girlfriends for drinks, but I'm not rushing back for the food.

I went with my family around 4pm on a Sunday. There was no wait. It was very quiet and relaxing. I was nervous it was so quiet as I had 3 kids in tow but all was well. The host and waitress were great. Food was excellent! I had a lobster roll that was good. We had bang bang shrimp appetizer which was awesome. It's like General Taos but crispy fried. So good. Not very spicy. Overall great experience. Food was really fresh. We will definitely go back.

I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. The piece that I received must have been 4 oz. When there is more plate showing than food you know that the portion was bad. My daughter asked if I ordered the "child's portion" At $27.95???There are too many good restaurants in RI. I will NOT be back

The bang bang recipe seems to have changed. Or last nights just different. Heavily coated with breading. And drenched in the sauce. The shrimp were very tough. The fried calamari was also heavily coated with this coating that was terrible and visually unattractive. My salmon was Luke warm when served. My husbands chicken with salad was the only tasty item. Refreshing after our "mess". Most likely will not return to this restaurant.

So, we've had some so-so experiences with service at Bonefish...but today, our brunch was impeccable. We had the creme brûlée French toast and the surf and turf eggs Benedict. They perfectly cooked the filet to my specifications and it was perfect. So. Good. With endless billinis and sangria. And honestly, our server, Christine was amazing. She made the experience. Great attitude. Very personable. Highly recommended. Thanks Christine!!!

I ordered the 3 fish tacos for 14.90, but they were so tiny! Very good, but only adequate for a person eating super light. I am surprised not to see many complaints about portion sizes. Maybe I just odered the wrong thing.

The bang bang shrimp is delicious. A bit spicy but its a nice kick. I have tried the cocunut shrimp and ceviche and both were great. My gf had Lily's chicken which was great and I had the pork chop which was also great. Before that we tried tilapia grilled with pearo sauce which was ehh and fish tacos which were great. We also had the pineapple martini which was great. Service was just OK though.

Went here for my birthday and loved it. Excellent, attentive service, food good. Took my father back a week later and Jonathan, the waiter, just disappeared. Never came back to check on us,fill our drinks, nothing. When I brought this to his attention, when he brought the bill, he said he'd been watching us from afar, whatever the heck that means. We will return but I don't want Jonathan.....

The restaurant's atmosphere is very nice and spacious. We went on a Sunday late afternoon. The wait staff was attentive but slightly awkward. The bread was fresh and tasty and the watermelon arugula salad was good. But the wood grilled sea scallops and shrimp with herb pesto sauce was disappointing. The seafood was drenched in the pesto herb sauce and the vegetables were soggy instead of crispy. I've had this meal at another restaurant and ate every last drop. Expensive and disappointing. I hate that combo.

We were familiar with Bonefish since we visited the establishment numerous times while living in Florida and it was one of our favorite restaurants. After a rocky start when trying the one in Rhode Island, it has once again become one of our favorites. The service is outstanding, the fish fresh and very tasty (swordfish and tilapia). The au gratin potatos are scrumptious. We are looking forward to our next dining experience at Bonefish Grill.

Florida Bonefish Grills are Awesome but, not the one in Cranston. The food is great but, customer service is lacking. Atmosphere is too pretentious. Would rather spend my money somewhere that welcomes you with a friendly smile and honors your reservation time especially when celebrating a birthday.

Really love this new place. I've had two casual business meetings in the comfortable bar area and enjoyed excellent goes devours. Don't miss the ceviche! One of the best in the state. The Bang Bang Shrimp and Chicken we're favorites of my guests and is priced low all day Wednesday. Went back for a lovely dinner. Scallops & Shrimp with garlic mash potatoes were terrific. My guest had Salmon with herico very (green beans) that I was lucky enough to taste. Yum! David has become the server I request after just 4 visits. He is attentive and entertaining, but not so much so that he is intrusive. He gives us great advice on menu choices when asked. Nice combination for a server.

I have been to Bonefish grille many times and loved it when it was first opened. The food was delicious and the presentation was great. However it seems the quality of the food is slipping as the time passes. The last few times I've gone I've been disappointed. It seems the portions have gotten smaller and looks terribly plated, taste-wise it was only ok. I went there again yesterday with friends and ordered crab cakes and calamari for apps. Calamari was good although it was smaller than I remember and the crab cakes were not jumbo sized, more like sorry measly little balls. For dinner I ordered my fish tacos. The last few time I had them, they were delicious, soft flour tortillas filled with grilled fish, fresh salsa with limes to squeeze over them. Yesterday, I find that they changed the tortillas into dinky wonton shells that were over fried, I ate all 3 and was still hungry (I could only eat 2 of the original fish tacos but they were so good I always forced myself to eat the 3rd one!) it looked so miserable on their big white plate that I felt sorry just looking at the overall plate; it was definitely not worth the $14.5 price anymore. Their drinks and their desserts are still very good so far but Sorry to say I feel their quality and presentation have slipped and I'm just not excited to go anymore, i'd rather go to Chili's or TGIF for a comparable meal.

Disappointing. Usually this chain Is good. The bartender was slow and miserable. The tuna came out still frozen in the center. The muscles were greasy and the sauce was broken. Everything tasted like old fish. We couldn't get drinks or refills on water and the bread came just in time for the check. $62 down the drain.

Chapel View really hit the mark on this one, what a fantastic restaurant. I can tell you we have already been to this restaurant twice and not just because its 5 mins away. Our first discovery was the happy hour they have. A list of about 5 appetizers are listed at a steal of a deal during certain hours in addition to a listing of cocktails. We ordered the Bang Bang chicken, bite sized bits of fried chicken in a delicious creamy sauce that had just the right amount of kick to it. Not overly spicy, but enough to leave a lingering hint on your tongue. For dinner I had the shrimp and scallops grilled with a mango salsa. As a side I got the potatoes au gratin (nice to see this as an option). Entire meal was good to the last bite. Nice jumbo shrimp and scallops cooked to perfection, moist and delicious. Perfect portion, I was on the bring of complete fullness, but it was just enough to eat without having leftovers (sometimes seafood leftovers leave little to be desired) For dessert I had the Jamaican coconut rum pie... custardy, creamy, coconuty goodness. You will not leave a bite on the plate. Might I also suggest the lobster roll. If you love lobster rolls you will love the Bonefish's. Full of huge chunks of lobster, unlike any lobster roll I have ever seen! Fresh, sweet and fantastic.

We held my son's Dedication brunch at Bonefish Grill. We sat in a private section, although there was a mix-up upon arrival. They had us seated and set-up in the main dining area even though I called and reserved the private room two weeks prior. They accommodated us though and took the time to set us up in the private area. We had four toddlers/babies with us so the back room was definitely preferable and conducive to this group. The bathrooms are also right around the corner there so it is helpful with kids. The food was very delicious. I ordered the oatmeal and fresh fruit and walnuts. My husband ordered the California omelet. All the food was very good quality. The biggest issue was the wait. The restaurant was not busy at all (we were the only ones there for the first hour). We had to wait for the food for almost two hours. When you have a group of parents, grandparents, and little kids, the last thing you need is a long wait for the food to arrive. The employees were nice about it and kept apologizing. We understood we were a larger group (11 adults, 4 kids), but for an empty restaurant and simple brunch food items we definitely did not anticipate that long of a wait. That being said, we will definitely go back to this restaurant as the food was that good, but we will just know to prepare for a possible wait, and are aware it could have just been an off morning for them. The homemade potato chips the table ordered were so delicious... I can smell and taste them as I type! I hope to update this review really soon!

I've been twice since it's opened, once for dinner about a month ago and again for Sunday brunch/lunch a couple of weeks ago. Dinner was on Friday night. I'm glad I made reservations as the place was hopping. I wish they were on OpenTable though, since I like having a confirmation email which I can waive at a host/hostess if they've "misplaced" my reservation. But there were no problems with our reservation here and we were seated promptly on arrival. The space is nice, open and a bit dark. Our server was quick to arrive when we sat down and ran over the menu and specials. We each had one of their special cocktails, which was some kind of cucumber martini thing and was tasty and refreshing. We split the bang bang shrimp appetizer, which was pretty good; of course, I always like fried food. I had a salmon special (and I was happy to hear that the salmon was wild-caught, not farm-raised), and my wife had the tuna. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and were yummy. Prices were very reasonable and service was excellent throughout the evening. Sunday Brunch/Lunch a couple of weeks ago was also good. I had a couple of bloody mary's that were a little small (hence two), but tasted fine. We split the bang bang shrimp again, and the two dishes were the crab cake sandwich and the fish tacos. Both were a bit messy - the crab cake was kind of loose and fell apart a bit, while the fish tacos were a bit soggy, with the juices spilling out of the tortillas, which made them a challenge to eat. No complaints about the flavor of either dish though. Overall, not a bad addition to the dining scene, even if it is a chain. We'll be back.

For a chain, this is pretty decent if you don't feel like driving out cranston. The endless bubbles brunch is worth the money - $20bucks. They are not finished with their menu though for brunch so certain things are not available like an egg white omelet. I told them I hope that they will be able to offer that soon! I had lox and a bagel and it was quite delicious plus about 4 mimosas.

This is my new favorite restaurant the service was excellent and the bang bang shrimp is bomb. I got the fresh cod and was blown away, I will come back as soon as I can to try the fish tacos which sound great! Couldn't be happier honestly....and more stuffed!

From friends in Florida I knew of Bonefish Grille and tonight got my first chance to dine here. The atmosphere is very nice, with large windows and nice decor. Our table was ready as promised and the staff were all very welcoming. The menu selection is nice and everyone enjoyed their meal. So why not 5 stars? My one complaint is if you go there hungry and order only a main course as we did you will leave there hungry. I had the fish tacos which were very good however two average size soft shell tacos are not going to fill me and I am no longer a big eater. I wish they would increase the size of the portions and charge a little more.

Upscale chain restaurant. Food portions are small but tasty. Dirty Martini is a must (Citrus Vodka soaked 3 days in olives, comes with stuffed olive and stuffed hot cherry pepper, this drink is a meal itself) Bartender was perfect (Connor) - would come back just for her service. Nice atmosphere. 4 stars if the food portions were bigger.

Okay,,so I have heard some good things about this restaurant and tried it tonight for the first time and I am sorry to say that I was not impressed with any of it,,the service or the food...Our meal was just okay,,edible, but nothing memorable...and the plating of our food was not appealing...The plates used are so small and make the portions of the plates look cheesy for the amount of money .... I was so disappointed in this restaurant and would not return....I had the Tuna and the portion of tuna was that of an appetizer portion....I have never had an entree that small anywhere in RI...very dissatisfied!!!! ...

I don't like to slam a place but when the item can make me sick, head for the hills.I have been to Bone fish Grill a few times and it was ok and always busy. So 4 of us went on a Wednesday night, the place was not busy and I should have known something was happening. So I ordered a fried fish along with my daughter and I broke the piece in half to see if it was fresh and the Ammonia smell almost knocked me over the both of us. I tasted it , smelled it, over and over again. When this happens the fish is bad bordering rotten, some places used to wash it in lemon juice or even a light bleach mixture. This is no excuse I don't care who gets pissed off, I just paid the bill and we left, they should consider themselves I didn't turn them into the Dept. of Health and as a back up my daughter graduated from URI as a food scientist specializing in fish so she can pick out a piece of rotten fish a mile away. They need to send their chef back to school to evaluate how seafood is kept and served. A seafood restaurant has to have HACCP controls in place. How sad. 1 star Yelp made me do it

Never again. We've given this place more chances than ever fair but they just can't pull it all together. First off, front of house feels like some sort of sorority initiation. A gaggle of twenty-somethings with zero social skills debate amongst themselves about whether there's a table available. Finally, they deign to seat you. The menu seems expansive, though rather on the pricey side for a chain. I've had the fish and chips-- danger, danger! Over breaded soggy nightmare! The fettucini dish with salmon ala carte is upscale catfood ($18). Partner got the haddock special-- the palest, most monochromatic plate I've ever seen. White fish, white mashed potatoes, an anemic artichoke slice, yellow spaghetti squash-- not even a sprig of parsley to make you feel like you had escaped the institution ($20). Everything tastes highly salty and processed; not a single fresh herb or veg to be found. Service was fine but that can't save this debacle.

Great atmosphere, service and food at Bonefish Grille in Cranston! My wife and I took my parents out to dinner tonight at the newly opened Bonefish Grille! We made reservations a couple of weeks ahead of time since they were just opening and I was glad we had, they were very busy! Since I grew up in Cranston, right down the street from Bonefish, I was very happy to see this plaza finally taking off. Between Bonefish and Chapel Grill the parking lot was packed and the scene was beautiful with all of the lights in the trees. Outside of being very busy, but not uncomfortably so, the atmosphere inside Bonefish was beautiful with very warm lighting, textures and the wood accents. It was comfortable while still being very stylish and clean. I am really looking forward to the spring time when they start seating on the patio. We were quickly seated and our waitress Jen K. was very nice, attentive, energetic and helpful. Everyone I was with, my wife, mother and father all thought she was great. I think one of the managers actually stopped by to see how everything was, a younger guy wearing formal attire. It's always good to see supervisors coming around to see how everything is. The food delivered. The Mussels Josephine were perfect, big enough for four people to share even though my father and I could have easily eaten them all ourselves. The Bang Bang Shrimp were ridiculous and they offer them on special on Wednesday evenings. I will be sure to head back just for them and an after-work cocktail. I wont get into what each of us ordered for dinner but just be assured that everything was cooked perfectly and the portions weren't overwhelming, which was good because we had room for their desserts. My wife and I split their brownie sunday- The whipped cream may have even been homemade. The brownie was wonderful, cooked all the way through but still moist in the middle and warm. The best part of all this- even with all of us having several rounds of wine and scotch, appetizers, dessert and coffee (which was delicious and served in the real human sized mugs, not the tiny mugs you sometimes get) my bill didn't even break $200, and I got one of the specials. We are so happy to have a great restaurant like this within walking distance of our house even though we would gladly make the drive to go back. Did I mention they have a Sunday brunch from 11-2:00?!

This was the second Bonefish Grille I have been to and it was even better than the first. I chose two appetizers (sashimi tuna and Thai Coconut Shrimp) as my main course. Both were delicious but be careful you don't spill the sauce on your pants as yours truly because it does not come out with cold water! My mom had the shrimp and scallop mix, She thought the scallops were a tad underdone but overall liked what she had. Her friend had the tilapia and liked it very much. The warm bread was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. One suggestion to the servers that they ask before clearing plates as some tables would prefer that everyone be finished before the plates start heading back to the dish room. So overall a well deserved 4.5!

Bonefish was one of our regular stops for a night out but lately the service has really gone down hill. Last night we stopped in around 8:45 for late dinner and drinks at the bar. We sat down at the bar and were never greeted by any of the two bartenders. One of them was chatting with he friends that were sitting next to us. Discussing restaurants near Gillette Stadium and never even looking our way at one point she mentioned how slow it was in the place. The gentlemen behind the bar was wandering back and forth and never said word one to us. After at least 10 minutes of waiting we had enough and left. Needless to say Bonefish will be removed from our list.

Not usually a fan of "chain" restaurants however the staff, atmosphere and pricing were excellent. The view at Chapel Hill is 5 star! the menu was diverse. Staff attentive! we were told there would be a 45 minute wait on a busy Friday night, however it turns out we only waited 25 minutes. Menu was smaller than I would have liked, however no complaints about Bonefish! Coconut shrimp app was a STANDOUT!

Consistently bad service. The waiter lied to my face then started arguing and antagonizing me when I called him on it upon receiving something I didn't request. Small portions of food that is not fresh. Shockingly disappointing. I will never return here. Hopefully this place goes away to make room for a real restaurant.

Decent food, though it is overpriced. Service was beyond terrible, they take very long and messed up both the drinks and food. The staff was very hard to get a hold of, it took almost 30 minutes to pay the bill and leave. Don't think I'll ever return to this place, too much money for very little to show. Def not a good place to take a date.

A solid night out for sure. After much anticipation, I was able to try BFG for my birthday last week. The restaurant was able to accommodate a reservation fairly last minute without issue. Upon arriving to the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who arranged for us to be brought to the table where the rest of our party was sitting. Certainly a nice change from the typical wandering around aimlessly hoping to spot someone you know deal. The drinks were fantastic, though beer options are a bit limited. I had a Winter White Cosmo, which was out of this world, particularly because of the fresh squeezed juices BFG uses for their mixed cocktails. For appetizers, we had the Bang Bang Shrimp which were surprisingly delectable. The bacon wrapped scallops were average, but good all the same. The selection of fish really sets BFG apart from other restaurants in the area. I wasn't forced to select from the run of the mill white fish options typically offered in the Ocean State. Rather, wolf fish and Chilean sea bass appeared on the menu, and could be topped with a variety of sauces. Chilean Sea Bass with mango salsa you say? Yes, please! And...the desserts. Wow. The coconut custard pie like I had never had it before! As far as prices go, well, it was my birthday so I didn't see the final bill. What I can tell you is my drink was about $7, and the Chilean sea bass was fair given that it goes for about $27/lb at the grocery store. This place was definitely worth the wait and I'll be back...I need more Bang Bang Shrimp!

Read other reviews hoping they were wrong, sadly this place is a train wreck. Called during day told didn't need reservations-got there had to wait 20 minutes in a half empty restaurant. We were told servers only have 3 or 4 tables at at time-what do they do when it's busy! Finally got seated but waited 10 minutes and no server-front door person came and took our drink orders. Finally got a server, took our order food was good. Wanted 1 more round of drinks after we finished-after waiting another 15 minutes only to be told they ran out of that brand of wine. At this point we just wanted out of there. Manager came over apologized the usual things-he stated he would give us his business card for next time we came in to assure we would have a better experience. Well we never saw him again, so how can a staff follow through when their management can't. We will not go back.

This was a great meal, on a nice quite Monday night. The oysters were fresh, the drinks tasty, and the meal was delicious.

Welcome BFG! You have quickly become my favorite restaurant in cranston. I am a lover of Roy's found on the west coast and BFG o me is comparable. Great prices, great ambiance, and have you had the Bang bang shrimp?? On the few occasions I have dined here, it has become my favorite. Also, please don't miss the tuna or crab cakes! The desserts are enormous and in love the bread display. Just writing about it is making me think I need to go again soon!

My parents and I are obsessed with Bonefish Grill since we first encountered this restaurant in Pennsylvania. While I lived there for school, my parents made sure we went to Bonefish Grill every time they visited. So needless to say, we were ECSTATIC to have one open right here in Cranston. We usually don't stray from the Mussels Josephine and Chilean sea bass when we visit, and our first trip to the Chapel View Bonefish Grill was no different. We agreed that the mussels were just not as good as the other Bonefish restaurants we'd been to, but the Chilean sea bass was certainly up to par. We raved about the restaurant to our friends, who decided to have a family birthday dinner of 12-14 people. We were excited for them to try the food we loved so much. Well, the food was good, sure, but it wasn't great. And the portion sizes were so inconsistent! Some of us would have generous portions, and others would have small coin-sized protein dishes. We were disappointed, and so were they. I figured it was the fact that they were just recently opened, so I will probably stay away for a little while and let them work the kinks out before returning to try it again. On a side note, the location is great with a lovely night view of Garden City, especially when Christmas lights are up!

Went there after work, Service was good and attentive. I ordered a Manhattan, which tasted nothing like a Manhattan. The Beef Dumpling App was very good, highly recommended. Then I proceeded to main course - Salmon Grilled with Potatoes Au Gratin and Jasmine Rice. The fish was dull and unexciting, the Potatoes were quite good, and the Jasmine rice was inedible. For a place that apparently does grilled seafood, the Salmon was just not up to pare. Maybe it was just an off night, will go back and try again. Edit - Went back last week - had a bunch of appetizers with a Salad - I have to say they were very very good. The Shrimp dishes were excellent but the table did complain about the Calamari - they were a bit dry and sad. I've updated my rating to 4 stars because the food was much better and the staff were great.

I love the grilled the shrimp and scallops. The calamari was a little tough but tasty. Great atmosphere and a wonderful server.

Saturday night, party of five. What was a 45 minute ended up an hour and a half! Not impressed. Portions are small. I ordered the pecan encrusted trout. It came out burnt. I don't see the big attraction!

Service is Terrible! Sat at the bar. Waiting 30 minutes for an appetizer of chips with gorgonzola sauce. While it was good, 30 minutes was way too long. Waited another 30 minutes for bang bang shrimp and a lobster roll. While I love the food, the service and slowness of the kitchen is unforgivable!

Dinned here a few weeks ago for one of my B-day Dinners, Place was warm and welcoming , service was very attentive booze was decently poured. Food though fresh and pretty flavorful portions lacked.at @ 27.50 I got a 5-6 oz. Sea bass with about 5 asparagus and 2 oz of Starch. Luckily my table had the Bang Bang Shrimp " awesome!" And some chowder "Meh" so I was satisfied but not full after my entree. I would go back but just for snacks and booze at the bar

Last evening we enjoyed our first experience at Bonefish Grille. We went early as we were invited to the 6PM opening party at Pottery Barn. It was good that we went early as Bonefish filled up very quickly. Debbie took care of us and did an excellent job. To start Beverly, my wife, had a glass of Caposaldo Prosecco, and I had a "Three Olives" martini. Drinks were excellent, I love the olives stuffed with blue cheese. Later, during our meal, we each enjoyed another glass of Prosecco. To start for food we had the Bang Bang Shrimp which we enjoyed with chop sticks. Following the appetizer Bev had Grilled Atlantic Salmon, and I had Ahi Tuna "Tokyo Style". Both entrees were supurb, fresh, and very tasty. Complementing the food was a wonderful view looking to the east where we could see the airplanes coming and going at T. F. Green Airport. Because I have been a pilot for many years it was special for me. Bonefish Grille will be one of our favored area restaurants from now on. It was a pleasure to meet the manager on the way out. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Bonefish Grill was fantastic!! I know it is a chain restaurant but it definitely did not seem like it. The food and service were top notch, I ordered the imperial stuffed cod at the recommendation of our waiter and I'm glad I did! Greg M was our waiter and he was very attentive, personable, and had awesome input about menu items. In recent memory I cannot recall a member of any waitstaff that was as attentive as Greg. I recommend Bonefish Grill to anyone looking for fresh seafood and a nice night out, also ask for Greg to make the experience complete.

My fiance and I ordered the Valentines special for two which included an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. The appetizer which we chose was the shrimp, and the salads were fresh and delicious. The entree which was 6 oz filet came out undercooked, and grisly. The entire meal was cool like it had been plated early and sat for sometime before it was served. It was so bad that my fiance and I couldnt eat it! We took our desserts to go and dont know if we will be back.

I had never even heard of this place until a friend recommended it. If you get to go here make sure you get De'Anna or Liz! They are both amazing and extremely knowledgable of the menu and everything they offer! The food was delicious and being a graduate with a baking and culinary degree this food was on a higher level than most restaurants in Providence! As well as the managers were very attentive which is very refreshing! I can't wait to try their Sunday Brunch! 5 Stars

this review is old below - I'm leaving it though for comparison. **** Since I wrote it they changed their menu (not for the better) and the portions are really small now - but the prices are the same=downgrade :( For brunch on Sunday consider this place. The breakfast options are small but the portions are huge and very delicious. I know this place is a chain restaurant from the Tampa FLA area, but living where we do in Warwick / Cranston there are not that many options that I would recommend to folks, especially since I am not from here and I tend to have very picky food taste. I highly recommend this for brunch on Sunday as it is NOT crowded and the food is well made and delicious!

I came to Rhode Island to study at Johnson and Wales. First night and I've been reading about this place for a bit so I decided to check it out. Food was AWESOME! I got some of those bangbang shrimp and I found out what everyone said about them was true, don't even have to try any other appetizers to know they're the best. For my entree I got the Fresh Cod Imperial and was blown away. I got the garlic mashed potatoes and pumpkin raviollis as my sides. Loved the potatoes, wasn't so crazy about the raviollis, sweet raviollis just aren't my thing. All in all, this was a great first night in Rhode Island.

We had stopped by Bonefish Grille for dinner the other night and it was fantastic! We were promptly seated and greeted by our server Sarah. She was one of the best servers we've ever had at any restaurant! We ordered the Thai Coconut Shrimp to share and it was quite yummy. Crispy, sweet, with a little kick and the shrimp were huge! I had the cod stuffed with shrimp, scallops, and crab and the wifey had the grilled shrimp and scallops with a side of the mango salsa. And we shared the creme brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious! Oh, the warm bread and pesto...it was so good, I hate to admit it but we ate three of them and got one to go!

Can't say enough about the quality and taste of the food. Drinks were great and the desserts fabulous. Had been to Bonefish only one time previously and we were worried that this Bonefish wouldn't live up to our high expectations from our previous visit (in Mississippi 7 years ago)...but it really did live up to, or surpass, our earlier experience. PLEASE come to California where we live!

This place looks really nice, but that is where it ends. The drinks were a bit pricey, especially the small $9.50 margarita (a Patron upgrade of $3.00 that I never asked for). My wife had lobster bisque, which was salty, but good, then she moved on to the fish tacos. The tacos looked delicious, but only had two tiny flakes of fish inside! I began with a salad, then moved onto the "Bang Bang" taco, which were filled with their signature spicy shrimp. They were chocked full of shrimp, but their crispness was ruined by the creamy sauce they were tossed in. All in all, the beautiful evening view from the restaurant was ruined by mediocre food. Sad.

My boyfriend and I went out here for dinner and it was amazing! Service was great and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. I read from other reviews to try to the Bang Bang Shrimp and I must agree it was great and larger than I expected. My boyfriend got the grilled tilapia with the mango salsa and I got the New Zealand Dory with shrimp and scallops. They were perfect portion sizes and all the food was delicious!! I cannot wait to go back there and take friends/family.

This place is clearly trying to be Legal's but falling short. The restaurant is boring. I felt like I was in a Courtyard by Marriott lobby. The food is ok...grilled salmon was good, the chicken with goat cheese and artichokes excellent. But fish tacos were inedible...goopy and sweet and couldn't find the fish. Red wine served cold. Our waitress a sweetheart. Otherwise I'd save $ and get WF takeout across the street next time.

Bonfish has exceptional service, the waitstaff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and served piping hot, our drinks were good. Not exactly what we had ordered but close enough. Definitely a chain restaurant to consider.

Went with a friend for his birthday the other night for a very late dinner on a Saturday so no waiting! The waitress was knowledgable and enthusiastic. Excellent service and learned a lot about this restaurant and ingredients used! How the fish arrives daily and changes by season... We ordered 2 kinds of grilled fish .Chilean Sea Bass and Grouper which I learned from my friend is getting scarcer in Florida and more expensive. They divided the 2 entrees so that we had 2 plates each. Nicely presented with the side and veggie divided also! Neat! And we had sides of 2 different sauces..could have tried all 4! The chimichurri sauce and Pan Asian sauce were great! Lots of different flavor! The homemade bread served warm with a pesto sauce..not basil but I think parsley with garlic and Parmesan was so good! They make all if their own sauces and with many ingredients! The veggie of the day was fresh and flavorful..not frozen and blah! It was zucchini with onions and tomatoes. For choice of a side..My friend liked his jasmine rice and I liked my fresh thin tasty green beans! Cannot wait to go back and try another fresh fish! And a watermelon cucumber martini! Oh and you can sign up for them to e mail you specials and something for your birthday! And I saw some yummy recipes on their website!

I expected more from Bonefish - I was disappointed. I went for lunch with a friend on a Sunday and they sat us with their regular menu. Sign says you have brunch, where is my brunch menu?! We arrived at 1 which is still the brunch time so we were confused. Anyway, had the jewel iced tea which was refreshing and tasted almost like a chai. We intended to have a light lunch so we ordered 2 cesar salads, crab cakes and coconut shrimp. Cesar Salads were pre-made; lettuce was ice cold but soggy because it was drenched in dressing. And I mean drenched. It was not enjoyable. The croutons were not crunchy and the amount of dressing was overbearing. Crab cakes did not help together as "cakes". They fell apart as soon as your fork hit them and it was more like crab salad instead of cakes. Lots of crab, would have liked to seen more substance and flavor to it. Coconut shrimp was exactly as described. The location is nice in Chapel View but I was not impressed with the restaurant. Service was good, no complaints about our server.

reservations at 8PM.. place was jammed for a friday nite.. We were seated at 8:05..waitress came right over and took the drinks order . ordered filet and crabcakes and the steak was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes were huge and full of crab. The waitress came over and asked if all was ok. she was attentive without being a pain. I told them when I made the reservations is was our anniversary, so at the end of the meal, they presented us with a dish of chocolate covered strawberries with their complements.. Then the manager Brian came over and asked us if everything was ok. I told him you just made us a regular customer. If I could give 6 stars, i would..

My Mother and I went to Bonefish for the first time on Saturday night. We did not have a reservation, but it was fairly early and we were seated within about 10 minutes. The hostess that greeted us was friendly and gave us a pager. We'd have to give the place a split decision. It is very noisy as it is full of hard surfaces. Not a great place to go if you want to have a conversation. The tables felt crowded in. The chairs were hard as rocks. The 'view' that someone else raved about is mostly of blacktop parking lots. Locals know that this entire shopping center is built on the former grounds a juvenile reform school, so no 'glamour' location. Now for the good news...the food was excellent. My Mother had the tempura Fish and Chips which came with house made tartar sauce. I had the grilled salmon with garlic mashed and steamed veggies. The portions were reasonable for the price. Service was 'spotty' to put it kindly. Our waiter initially brought us water and a hot loaf of bread with pesto oil. He took our food order at that time. He never came back to inquire if we wanted other beverages. The meals were delivered by someone else. Other seemingly random people stopped by the table to take empty plates, etc. No sense of continuity. My empty water glass stayed that way until we were actually ready to pay our bill and leave. There was also an underlying sense of snobbery....which just amused me. If you want great seafood and great service without going to Boston / NY, go to Sole Proprietor in Worcester...that is if you can make a trip longer than 10 minutes! :^)
