I grew up in Yardley and came here all the time, my sister worked here it was just a part of my childhood. Every time I am in the area I swing by to get a danish, turnover, cookie, whatever. Everything is always Delicious. The fact that this place hasn't changed in appearance, quality or even the delectable smell inside in 25+ years is a testament to a place that is doing it right. I can't say I have ever had anything bad here. I am a huge fan of their turnovers and danishes. But the cookies, muffins, cakes are all also outstanding. You just can't go wrong here.

Growing up on Cramer's goodies, I am definitely a big fan. Whether it be the chocolate eclairs, donuts, big chocolate chip cookies, oversized muffins or delicious cakes you'll be in heaven. Prepare to spend some money, but it is well spent. I always stop at cramer's for some delicious treat to bring to any family event. I also used Cramer's for my wedding cake and not only was it lovely from an aesthetic standpoint, but also delicious and well received from our guests, definitely recommend checking out their wedding cake selections, I was very happy with my choice.

Come on Monday everything is 50% off....literally everything....chewy brownies, creamy donuts, crispy eclairs.....ok you get my drift. I came here on a whim after breakfast, more out of curiosity if the Cramer's bakery was an old sign and this was really just a CVS. I peered through the window and barely saw anything in the cases so I figured they were closed. A friendly employee came out to say they were open; once inside I was informed that Mondays they do no baking and sell only the things they have left from the day before.....at 50% off! As I saw everything on the table I thought this place must be very high end gourmet, with chocolate dipped pretzels and perfectly baked croissants.....but after getting more than half a dozen donuts, 2 croissants, 3 raspberry tarts, 2 brownies and an elephant ear ALL FOR ONLY $9....I decided this is my new favorite bakery! I ate the chocolate dipped elephant ears which are to die for! My hubby loved the cream filled donut, so I took a bite, and that cream filling was like nothing I have ever had. I was so used to custard inside those donuts, but this is white fluffy and perfect! I am currently nibbling on some brownie and contemplating adding some famous halo tajitian vanilla to it to be a total fat a$$ before new year's day strikes. I can't imagine any of the other pastries being any less delicious than the previous, I will definitely be returning.

Love this place. Always Delicious and Yummy. This is one of the best bakery's in the extended area. They have a huge selection from pies, cakes, donuts to etc and their offerings are baked perfectly. They will bake to your desires and specifications. Great taste, and flavors. They are talented and it's a very skilled bakery.

What a beautiful selection of wonderful homemade delectables. The staff was friendly and I was pleasantly surprised by the low prices. I am happy I don't live in Yardley as I think that I might be tempted to stop by here a little bit too often.

Had a bakery attack today. So glad they were open. Got my apple turnover (always perfect), a black and white for the wife and some bobka to bring home. The food is consistently excellent, the prices are super reasonable, and everyone is nice. Great landmark of yardley, especially as there is no bakery in Newtown.

Quite expensive, but OMGsogood. When I get a craving for Cramer's, there can be no substitute. The cannoli are astoundingly good.

Called to order a medium sheet cake and I was quoted $104.95! I was able to get the same thing at another bakery for only $69. Not much difference in taste either. Cramer's is way overpriced.

Some of the best cookies and cakes!!!! The cookies are HUGE!!!!! I especially like the hamintash cookie. The jelly is fresh and made on premises..... I could eat a whole box of them. Yummy!!!!!! I especially like their cakes and cupcakes. Frosting is rich and creamy. On the cupcakes the there is a pile of frosting. The cake is moist and fresh!! They also make cute designs for children such as Elmo and Cookie Monster! They bake all their products on premises. You can see the bakers in the back cooking!!

So this review is not exactly for the bakery and its day-to-day operations, but for the tremendous job they do for wedding cakes! My wife and I got married a few months back at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton, NJ. The Hyatt has partnered with Cramer's to be their bakery of choice for all wedding cakes. The process for selecting our cake options was very easy and well organized. Kim, the wedding cake coordinator, provided us with a few different cake and frosting tasting options to take home and try. Based on the size of our event, we were going to be given a 5 tier cake, and so up to 5 flavor options. After trying the different options, we decided we wanted to do something a little different, so we Kim if they could put something else together for us to try. Not only was she very accommodating, but she had her bakers whip up a whole entire cake for us to sample! As far as the look of the cake, I let my wife choose something based on their different style options. Finally, we settled on a mix of 2 flavors: Tirimasu with chocolate chip cake and strawberry/vanilla on pound cake. I can say that while neither of us got to have much of our cake the night of our wedding (to busy getting drunk and dancing lol), the cake looked awesome and we were told by many people that it was great! Oh, and since my awesome wife didn't want the cake looking to girlified with flowers and what not, she had them add a little surprise for me: a little figure of spider-man being crushed under the cake! It was really cool, and apparently they had no problem in doing that for us! Just another example of how accommodating the folks at Cramer's can be!

small selection. place was half empty. I am used to other different region where bakeries offer a LOT more - more into the customer experience. This was very lack luster. For people who are impressed, probably should go outside of yardley...maybe go across the river. Sorry guys. I wanted to like you. But there was no effort to go beyond or go outside the box.

If you are up and about very early, go to Cramer to get fresh donuts, muffins and scones. Too, if you can order a cake for a special occasion, you will probably be quite satisfied. Otherwise, despite the charm of an old fashioned bakery, and the butternut aroma, the products are inconsistent, and pricey. The bread, bagels, rolls are not worth the trip. There are much stronger options for them only minutes away. To be a worthwhile destination everything must be good, available, and reasonably priced compared to the competition. Cramer is not quite all that.

This was my 3rd trip back to Cramer's since returning to Yardley. I have to agree with some of the other reviews, if you're looking for donuts, get their early because they are good. I recently made a trip and got some lemon squares which were delicious. I have noticed the service was well below average long faces, no smiles. I'll be back for donuts and a cake, other than that I will try other places. It kills me not to give my money to local businesses. A few adjustments and it would be a much better place.

My Katie's bridal shower was perfected by ordering the cake from Cramer's. The restaurant had only a half hour window for delivery but my was there as promised! Delicious and beautiful! I would highly recommend them!

Love this bakery! This is a classic, delicious bakery in the old style with all kinds of delicious baked goods and pastry. Don't expect fancy, sophisticated. European baked goods, this is old fashioned American-style baking. The birthday cakes are delicious, don't try to do anything too sophisticated cake flavor-wise. They make DELICIOUS, fresh, made to order cakes for celebrations and have a decorating style all their own which is just wonderful! The walnut, chocolate triangles are out of this world, and I also love their strawberry pies/tartes and they make a delicious chocolate chip cookie cream cake too. We also really appreciate the fact that they have coffee cakes like blueberry crumb cake, apple crumb cake, and banana-nut bread, zucchini bread, etc. Too many of our classic institutions like Cramers are no longer around so I really appreciate and will always support a wonderful institution like this.

Our wedding cake was included with our package at Washington Crossing Inn and we met and discussed the cake options with Kim who was very accommodating. Four months prior to the wedding we went and were able to take home the various cake and filling samples - delicious and a great idea to do at our leisure. We showed her our inspiration picture and our topper and she was completely on board. Two months before our wedding I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and contacted her about making a gluten-free cupcake for myself. As the bakery doesn't work in GF foods, she contacted their supplier and was able to craft a gluten free recipe that was fantastic! (Seriously, I'd travel the distance to get these if they started selling them at their counter.) The cake looked just like our inspiration picture except the heart wings of the bee toppers were stuck in the cake instead of the tops of the bees - silly little mistake, it looked great regardless. Another thing I noticed in our professional pictures was that the tier flavors we chose were not the ones that were represented in the cake on the day (perhaps I was unclear on which tier should have which flavor), but guests seemed to enjoy it anyway. Would recommend due to great taste, physical appearance, and gluten free accommodations.

Went there for the first time on Father's day. Picked up a donut, which was decent, scone-ok and a walnut cream pastry-ok as well. I think I'll make the trip to Giant for donuts.... Woman at counter seemed annoyed I asked what a few of the pastries were in the case. That didnt really wasnt a great selling pt. I might be back to give some other pastries a second try but I wont rush back...

I can't speak for their pastries or general bakery items, but their cakes are ridiculously good. I love the strawberry shortcake and order from Cramer's for all cake-worthy occasions. Real whipped cream paired with ripe strawberries and a dense, delicious cake make for an amazing celebratory dessert.

Cramer's was extremely helpful and flexible when it came to helping us with our wedding cake. The cake came out not only looking great, but tasting great as well. We often use Cramer's for birthday cakes too. Try to whipped icing.

Everything they bake is great. Their donuts are so fresh. They always have great things in the case. Their strawberry shortcake is the best. They are very friendly too.

This place is a Yardley must-do. It's in a cute location in the same building as the CVS. I went there yesterday on my way back heading north from Morristown to get my friend a cupcake for his birthday. They had a great selection of baked goods, but I opted for the giant cupcakes at only $1.95 each! (cheap!) The girl working there was nice, but right after she helped me she went in the back to chat with her friends. I started to ask her something but she was already gone. I'm pretty sure the bridal shower I was at on Saturday had the petite fours made by this place. So it was just a coincidence I went here the next day. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. There is nothing vegan here for us non-dairy/no egg folks, but for everyone else this place is cute, local, and good for big cakes or a quick bite.

The cakes are delicious and I would recommend a tiramisu to anyone, but twice I've been there and twice the service was horrible. The woman who waited on me during my two visits was extremely snippy. Because of her rude service, I'm not sure if I'll be returning.

Great little bakery in Yardley. They make everything and it is pretty much all good!! Love the scones!!! Very nice ladies that work there. Whatever you do, do not go there hungry!!!!

Cramer is pretty hit or miss. The buttercream is really tasty and they make a mean doughnut. But you have to get there by 10AM if you expect to find one left. If you are ordering a cake for a party, it is a great option. Do not go there for bread, rolls, and bagels. Not the right place. Bring cash.

I recently ordered an Italian rum cake from Cramer for a party, and it was delicious! The cake was so heavy we needed a crane to lift it. It was supposed to serve 25-30 though now I'm wondering if they meant people. It was enormous! The quality was comparable with the rum cakes that came out of the 'burg's Italian bakeries back in the day, though it could have had just a bit more rum. Cramers continues to impress!

Nothing special as far as bakeries go. Their tiramisu cake is decent. Other cakes I've tried were too sweet with no real balance of flavor. They look okay, but taste needs to match. Their breads are not much better than something you'd find in a supermarket. Worse than some actually. Felix's Caketeria in Newtown or Cairo Cakes about a minute a way might be a better option.

Well, walking in here, you get a great smell of the baked goods for the day. Peer back into the bakery itself to check out rows of ovens and trays, fresh with loaves of bread and more. They have a wonderful crumb cake with chocolate swirls, and their donuts are pretty good, too, although I'd stick with the muffins which are probably healthier and almost as good! Almost always have a table up front of specials, too, from pie to yesterday's loaves, if you can get there.

Quest for the Holy Doughnut aka Doughnut Quest: Part II We went to Cramer's Bakery in Yardley, PA, and bought the last 2 doughnuts they had--we asked and the best time to get them is 6:30AM, when the store opens (it's not open 24 hours per day, contrary to common belief); generally sold out by noon. One cherry filled powdered doughnut and one cinnamon roll, with a pint of Clover Dairy Farms milk. The milk is VERY rich. The doughnuts, heavy, and not a lot of filling. I guess I'm used to light as a feather doughnuts, which are not common in this part of the country (you're lucky to even find a doughnut shop). The dough used is more like the dense dough one can roll out on a pastry board. The store, however, did smell like a pastry shop ought to. A rich, buttercream scent filled the air, alternating vanilla and deep chocolate. The staff was incredibly friendly, I only wish I liked real pastries. The quest will continue. Located in the same building as CVS in the center of Yardley.

Go to Felix's Caketeria in Newtown. It's a million times better - trust me! Cramer doesn't even use real eggs in their baked goods, they use powered eggs. YUCK!

I thought about writing a review for Cramer's while getting ready to order my daughters 1st birthday cake! I have been getting birthday cakes here since my son was born (he's almost 5) and they have NEVER disappointed! I have only ever had their cakes so thats all I can speak on but they are always amazing! And their decorator does a great job as well! I'm going to try to post pictures if I can figure it out!

I don't like cake. That said I will fight you for a slice of cake from Cramer's Bakery. This bakery does it right. Their cakes are always delicious, moist and sweet. I have yet to try any of their other baked goods, but if they are anywhere near as good as the cake then this place will always get five stars.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Cramer's Bakery! I was married last year and the venue that we selected used Cramer's. From the moment I called Barbara she made me feel like the most important person in the world. Since I do a lot of traveling for work she worked her schedule around to make sure she had time to talk to me or would email me. She so friendly to work with I also ordered a groom's cake from her. I had ideas for what I wanted my wedding cake to look like and she helped me work those thoughts and ideas into a beautiful wedding cake. Everyone is still a year later complimenting the cake (both taste and sight). I wouldn't get my cake anywhere else. Soon my husband will be graduating from grad school and I immediately emailed Barb and she wrote back and in one day we had a cake ordered for me ready to pick up at the end of May. I loved working with her. If you are getting a wedding cake or any kind of cake talk to Barb! She will work with you on any kind of cake that you possibly could want. I don't understand why people want fancy places to sit in a bakery, but if you're looking for snobby you're in the wrong place. Barb is so easy to work with and I knew after talking to her I didn't have to worry about my wedding cake because it was in great hands. She got me all the samples and even helped me with the Viennese table. Honestly if you help with your wedding cake call her. You don't need to sit down to figure out a cake she will work with you on the phone, email or in person. She's amazing and so is her work!

I am a local and have lived near Cramers for many years. I very much like the owners and have many times jogged past this place on the towpath at night and become entranced by the baking smells. A rating for this old-time baker depends on what the reviewer wants. If you want a crusty and/or multgrain loaf of bread or a crispy, folded croissant, this place is a zero. If you want a customized birthday cake, or the type of walnut bread you get in some diners, Cramer's is one of the best. Their turnovers and sticky buns are great but the bagels and poundcakes are inedible, There is nothing in this shop's bread and pastry offerings that could compete with the offerings at say Witherspoon Bread Company in Princeton or even the bakery stand at the Newtown Farmer's Market. However, the last birthday cake I got here was perfect.

I just got married this past Saturday, and our wedding cake was provided by Cramer's. It was a beautiful 3-tier vanilla cake with alternating chocolate and raspberry filling with pleated buttercream frosting. Not only was the cake absolutely stunning (especially the purple roses adorning the top tier), but it was the most delicious cake I can ever remember eating! My biggest complaint about the whole entire wedding is that I didn't get a big enough piece of this amazing cake. If I could do it all over again, I'd ask for 3 helpings!

well,my update, we never had the chance to experience Cramers and to that I say THANK GOD! When my daughter, her fiancee and I visited to discuss the wedding cake we were extremely disappointed. Barbara, who we had the appointment with, did not make us feel comfortable with such a large, expensive and important project. She didnt give us any reason to use this bakery. We felt rushed, disrespected and unimportant. She showed us some photos in a loose leaf binder of other cakes (When they were ordered, who knew?) and didnt discuss much else. We were herded into the corner of the front of the bakery near the coffeemaker and wondered why there was no other place for a meeting of such importance. She talked down to us, telling us our requests for simple design would cost too much without even allowing us to explain we were willing to go over the basic cost of the cake. Did not want to make our cake, very plain and simple to see this-and we wanted simple things....very traditional with scroll work..but she suggested not only that we could NOT afford it and didnt offer not even an estimate of what it Would cost(THAT was insulting!). We just left with our sample cakes, being told to get back to her.... we went to Ninos in Hamilton, NJ...and had a WONDERFUL result. Never will go back to Cramers. for anything..its not what it was years ago. read that review!

Outstanding service and cakes! I ordered my daughter's Confirmation cake the weekend before Sandy hit for the following Sat. I tried calling later in the week to see if they were open and couldn't get through. My mom ended up calling the morning of the Confirmation and spoke to a very nice man and lo and behold they were able to have a beautiful cake for me for my daughter's party later that day! We'll be back later this month for her birthday cake. Not only do we love the look of their cakes but they taste great, too!

Meh. Does not live up to mediocre in most instances. Most items are on par with the local Giant's grocery store. Highly overrated. McCaffery's grocery store is far better than Cramers.

Even though I have found a substitute, another good thing about the city. It was no easy task. However, I do miss the early mornings, which started out as late nights, walking here. Great bakery!!!
