Victory Pig pizza is my absolute favorite. I moved out of the Valley many years ago but when I come back to visit family and friends I always want to get some VP Pizza too. I'm never disappointed with the taste and it is consistently yummy, thx chef! (His/her special care must be one of the secret ingredients.) ...I swear I can smell it thousands of miles away. This past weekend I enjoyed several cuts, but have to say that I miss seeing the "old" guys behind the counter and receiving their excellent service.

If there is one thing that I miss living out here in CA it is delicious, delicious pizza! I have had a long standing relationship with this place. It has sort of been part of my entire life in way. Anyway, I used to not like the pizza, then as my tastes changed I thought it was the most delicious thing on earth. If you took ambrosia and mixed it with bacon, it probably wouldn't be better than this. Suck on that Greek Gods! I love the crunchy greasy bottom of a slice of victory pig pizza, I love the tang and chunkiness of the sauce, I even love the scars on the roof of my mouth that the bubbling hot cheese leaves for you as a reminder that you just ate perfection. On top of that they just got the best thing to go with pizza. Wings and not just any wings Smoked Wings! Plus some crazy ass dipping sauces. Together they form the megazord of food and will defeat your puny taste buds with one swift strike. I love eating here, can't wait to get back home and eat some more!

To me, heaven would be sitting at the Victory Pig working my way through the menu and never getting full. I love the pizza, Sicilian style fried in olive oil. For those who have never eaten it, it might sound weird, but trust me, it is delicious. The barbecue sandwiches are not someone from the South would recognize, as they are pulled meat on a bun without any sauce. But the taste great. Even the plain old cheeseburger somehow tastes better here than anywhere else. The coolest part is that it is still a drive in and you can get your food in your car! It's retro, it's delicious, it's heaven.

Victory Pig has been serving pizza to the Wyoming Valley since 1942. When I was a kid, I tried it once and was not a fan - BUT ONLY because I didn't like onions on my pizza. Thankfully, my palate has matured over the years, and I gave VP another try... and WOW was it great! I had a regular pie with onions. The pie is Sicilian style, with a fried crust. It's crispy and melty and the flavor of the sauce and onions is savory and delicious. I could almost scold my childhood self for making me miss out on this pizza for so long!

Omg!! I really enjoyed eating these cuts!!! The crust is so delicious - one of my fav things about the pizza - perfectly crispy on the bottom and moist in the center. The sauce is also very tasty. I can't wait to eat this again!

Victory Pig has been a family favorite for generations. Anytime we head north we stop at Victory for pizza and pork sandwiches. Love the pizza!!!!

If you eat at Victory Pig (when they happen to be open)....make sure you're within 15 minutes from home. Your bathroom is a necessity. The pizza is excellent when hot and fresh, which is rare, it usually sits, waiting for a server to deliver. When cold, it's mainly dough and grease, and it does not sit well. I really don't see the appeal here. Places such as Pizza Perfect, Ernie G's and even Pizza L'Oven do it much, much better. Also, a pork barbecue sandwich with no sauce and adding pickles and onions? Gross.

We always heard how great this place was so we decided to try it on a Wednesday nite. We were running late with the kids so I decided to call ahead and order the pizza so it would be almost ready when we got there and seated. So I called and before I could finish my sentence the guy who answered cut me off and said "we don't take reservations!". I said I'm not making a reservation, I just want to put my order in ahead of time just like as if I were picking it up except we will eat it there. He said we don't do that, good bye. Well this gave me a bad vibe about the place right off the bat. So we get there and squeeze everyone into the cramped dining room with dirty tables. I asked the waiter about ordering ahead and said they don't do that because someone complained once that someone else got their order faster than them? If you you go to this place check out all the signs that seem to shout at you like "Dont stand HERE! Move there!" Or the one you can see through the kitchen window "NO Talking while using the oven!". The all male staff seemed very nerve racked as the owner watches over them like the Pizza Nazi... Slow service. Bland pizza, Owner seems like a scammer charging customers extra for the pizza box on take outs without telling them. All male staff which seems strange? Really, not one female working in the place with like 8 to 10 workers.... I don't see what people like so much about this place. Pizza Perfect in Dallas or Pizza loven is much better and flavorful and they're much friendlier too.

BOO ta da YAH! Miniature Golf! Super 60's/70's feel to it! Only a few topping options for their pizza, but it rules and the pulled pork is bangin! Weird days/hours though. its called VICTORY PIG BARBEQUE!!! COME ON!

Holy crap on a cracker. This is the Best Pizza I've Ever Had. Remember when you were little and Pizza Hut was actually good? I remember growing up and getting their deep dish pizza IN the restaurant, and it came out all buttery and crunchy and just good.... Their well-seasoned pans imparted some kind of mysterious magic that you can't get anywhere else and you sure as heck can't duplicate at home. Okay maybe I shouldn't be comparing Victory Pig to Pizza Hut, but you get the idea. This place has been in Wyoming for literally generations. My hubby is from neighboring Forty Fort and his mom used to eat VP when she was in high school!! How cool is that?! Apparently it hasn't changed in all those 50+ years. Talk about a time capsule. The pizza comes by the slice and I was coached on what to order before we got there. Basically the way to get it is either with or without onions ("normal" being with). That's it. Dough, pizza sauce, cheese, and onions. It sounds deceptively simple, but trust me, it's not. Think of it as the butteriest (yeah, that's totally a word, right?) piece of doughy bread that's crunchy on the bottom and light and fluffy on top, with just enough of a shmear of sauce and cheese to make it pizza. I ordered both with and without, just to see what the difference was. Of course, I had to make matters complicated by also ordering my favorite combination, pepperoni and mushroom. You'd have thought I had asked for caviar and truffles! We joked later that they probably went into the back and were all, "Shit, someone ordered pepperoni and mushroom! Someone go to the store!" The pizza comes out on a tray and they serve it to you with those single-serve papers you find next to doughnuts at the grocery store. They might as well have been doughnuts, because damn, it's good stuff. Honestly, I think both preparations are excellent (with/without). You just have to try it and see for yourself. Even my pepperoni and (albeit canned) mushroom combo was good. We recently had Little Caesar's new deep dish pizza and I remarked to my hubby, "Hey, this kinda reminds me of Victory Pig's!" To which he said, "Yeah but not nearly as good." He was right, what was I thinking? Victory Pig is light years ahead and beyond. As for the name of the place, I asked around but no one could say why it was called Victory Pig. This is what I found on their website: "The reasons behind the curious name of the business are lost to history. Before being purchased in 1942 by Louis and Lee Ceccoli, Victory Pig had been operating for at least a decade as a gas station and sandwich grille. We always believed the name was conceived as a dual reference to World War I and Pork BBQ's: "Victory" signified patriotism and celebrated the allied victory, and "Pig" alluded to the Pork BBQ sandwiches featured on the original menu. The Ceccoli's bought the building at the height of World War II, making the existing name a fitting carryover to celebrate their patriotism. They continued to serve Pork BBQ's, which, to this day, remain the second most popular item on our menu." Whatever the case may be, Victory Pig is a WIN every time. So if you find yourself in the Wyoming Valley, do yourself a favor and stop in to this little gem. It will be a revelation. PS--Should you find yourself in the Wyoming Valley area, and you are any other race than white, be forewarned. I was the ONLY brown girl in the restaurant, heck, in the whole town, it seemed like. Just be prepared to be stared at. A LOT.

Before you pick up your pizza figure the tax and count out the exact change. Rich likes to add a tip for himself and he thinks you won't notice. Report back. The PIZZA is the one of the best in the world. No kidding., in the world. that's how good it is. PIZZA ***** rating The staff ** rating Owner / no rating for someone that thinks he is smarter than you. The problem is in the owner / managers greed. I waited about 15 minutes for the order to be ready. That's fine. Its what I witnessed while waiting that made my BLOOD BOIL. I wittiness several customers coming in to pick up their orders and being deceitfully overcharged. The cost of pizza is $1.55 each piece. If you order 10 cuts then your bill would be $15.50 + tax +93 cents =$16.43 The owner handed them their pizza and the owner says $17.27. They pay and leave. The next cuts guy orders 15 cuts @1.55 =$23.25 + 1.40 tax = 24.65. They get their pizza the owner says $25.47. They pay and leave. This happened 6 times then it was my turn. I had the exact change ready. 10 cuts 15.50 + tax 93cents =16.43 he says 17.27. I asked how much is the pizza by the cut he said 1.55 a cut.I did the math for him and asked why is the bill more. He looked at be with surprise on his face and said " oooh ya know the box and stuff. I repeated what he said and I said "you charge 84 cents for the box?" He said aaahhhh just give me what you got. I'm not gona get rich on 84cents. I gave him 16.43 and was leaving he walked away and I waited for his next customer to be called and he turned to me and said do you need anything else? I left. Every time he with no rhyme or reason added to the bill any where from 25 cents to 95 cents more than it should have been and the customers did not know. So by all means order the pizza and enjoy but do get ripped off by someone that thinks their smarter than you are. Order pizza tonight and see what I am talking about. Maybe some will bring to his attention and save you the headache and tell him of this Yelp review. This isn't something new I have been noticing it every time I go there about twice every year. I confront him every time. His staff does the same thing on take outs.. Yes his pizza is good but Pizza perfect or Pizza L'oven is just as good and they appreciate your business very much,. This is the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! We buy their T-shirts and have had many other Victory Pig pizza connoisseurs approach us with the same enthusiasm as far away as San Fran, Miami, NYC, and Ireland! Having grown up in "the valley" we had taken Victory Pig for granted. Now we fight for the last crumb when we have the chance to go back for it! Can't wait till they get the website order and shipment up and running-our family and friends, alone, will empty their kitchen! Just the best, delicious and superior quality. All time favorite!

Philistines! You have not yet annotated the Internet with Victorious Pizza?! Allow me to herald the absolutely best pizza I have ever eaten. I grew up with these ~6x2 inch slices of good stuff whenever we visited my Grandmother and other NEPA relatives. She loved it, they loved it, we loved it. This place has been around for forever and looks it. There's a cool Italian guy manning the bar and plenty of local folks in the back making magic happen. If you are waiting for your cuts (they come by count of slices) then you can ask this fella for a cold beer to cool your heels. While you're there, ask for a pork bbq sandwich. They're goooood. Not BBQ like sauce or anything. Tender pork roast topped with a tasty relish on a potato roll or some such. It's crazy how satisfying these little things are. And they'll sit in you for a bit too. Don't order toppings. They sell cheese pizza here with a crunchy fried bottom that gets softer as you get to the fresh mozzarella. My relatives claim that they used to make their own or use better cheese but that it's still good. Whatever. Salt, pepper, and devour. The sauce is perfect with onions. I want a slice so bad right now. Some folk have been getting their slices with broccoli. In disbelief, I tried it with my family. We all enjoyed it. So get either cheese or broccoli pizza and a few pork bbq sandwiches. This stuff is really addictive. The pizza keeps well in the fridge for a few days, just reheat in a toaster oven or conventional oven. Eat any sandwich cold. You can do curb side pickups too. They aren't open on an odd day, though. They obviously make enough money to do what they want. There are imitators in the area, so be wary. Try them and see what you like but Victory Pig is the originator (I think). Pizza Lovin' in Trucksville does are pretty good copy and I would also recommend them @ 5 stars.

The granddaddy of Old Forge style. Only open on the strangest days. You can sit in your car on a rainy or snowy day, honk the horn, have someone take your order and bring your pizza out to you. Do NOT get toppings on this. Take it as it is.

How am I the first to review this place!?? I've been sampling all of the fried scicillian pizzas of the WB for awhile now but this is by far the best and worth every greasy calorie that comes with it! You walk in this place and it's as if it was the first day it opened in 1942. Wood paneling, Orange countertops, black and white checkered floors. Cash only and I'm not even sure what else they have on the menu if anything. All I can tell you is that the pizza, with onion and sausage is to die for! there's really not much too it but somehow it melts in your mouth and makes you want to eat until you can't eat anymore!

This place rocks. If you are in the area, it's a must go. We used to drive up from Allentown, eat dinner and then bring back about 50 cuts to keep us going until the next road trip.
