This is our go to spot for real for fresh and tasty Mexican food. The caldo de pollo is amazing on a cold night or if you need a cure for the sniffles. I also highly recommend the tamales, they are moist and light as a feather. Check out this hidden gem!

This place is better than words! Especially their tacos. I love TACOS! Every since I have began to work in the area I take every lunch break I can in this great establishment. The service is amazing and the food is of great quality. If you want authentic Hispanic food....go to Taco Suave!!!

So delicious. Happened to be in the area and we would come back all the time if we lived closer. Everything is really fresh!!

Wow this place has gone down down down hill. I ate in one day and it was Amazing and fresh. Got takeout today and it was horrible!!! Chicken mole tamale. It was obviously microwaved since the outside of the tamale was literally burnt. Again you can obviously tell it was put in the mic. The tacos. Literally were swimming in grease! Terrible. What a waste of $14. Totally disappointed. 100% keep driving by next time.

My stomach is busting. Short of the Mission district in San Francisco, this is some of the best authentic Mexican food in the North 50. Try the "Jamaica", hibiscus beverage. The tamales are lighter than a feather. Enchiladas Verde is a sure bet and if you are looking for a real treat, order the chicken soup. Service may be a bit slow, we'll worth the wait.

What a gem! I would have never come across this place had I not seen it on yelp. It's located in a tiny strip mall, and probably overlooked by alot of people but it's SO worth the trip. It's nothing fancy, so if you're the type of person who needs a great atmosphere this place isn't for you. however, the food is AMAZING. I am assuming it's family run and the mother cooks all of the food herself. We were the only ones in here on a Friday night and were blown away by the taste of the food and how generous the portions were. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas and my boyfriend ordered the pork burrito (it was huge!) and I could not stop raving to the waitress about how good it was. the prices are exceptionally reasonable as well! we spent 24$ and we are already planning a trip back in a few weeks. they do take out as well and I was told will start to deliver soon to. Give them a try!

What a disappointment. Things have changed since Easter 2015. The lovely lady who waited on customers and her chef are no longer there. Perhaps she cooked the food herself? Those of you who were able to patronize the place before today some authentic Mexican consider yourselves fortunate. Today's meal was disgusting. Everything tasted like it came out of a can of Goya. This place is not long for this strip mall location.

Glad I found this gem! We have been searching for authentic Mexican food since moving to PA and this place hit the spot. Plenty of parking. Wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. We sat anywhere and immediately got waters and chips and salsa. Salsa was mild and the chips very extra crunchy! I had a chorizo Torta and my husband ordered a carnitas Torta. See pictures for visual goodness! The portions were plentiful and flavorful, we both needed to go boxes. The salsa verde was delicious! Spicy but delicious. Our server Kyle was very attentive. The owner lady that said goodbye to us was very nice and welcomed us back anytime. I can't wait to come back and try something new!

I ordered tacos al pastor and a chorizo burrito to go. I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. Pleasantly surprised by the tacos. Generous portion of tasty braised pork, diced onions, and cilantro. They came with lime slices and two small sides of a watery salsa. Didn't like the salsa, I just used the hot sauce in my fridge. The burrito was honestly one of the worst I've had. Chorizo was greasy and had the consistency of dog food, seriously. Was not a fan of the rest of the lettuce, beans, etc either. I threw it out after two bites. I can't comment on the service, because I only ordered takeout. I really wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking for sit-down dinner ambiance, it's a tired looking storefront inside a strip mall that looks like it could use a serious scrubbing. Just a bunch of tables in one room, nothing special. I can only recommend ordering tacos via takeout, nothing else positive to comment on.

My expectations were largely driven by the name of this establishment. Yes, they were low. We were pleasantly surprised by tasty pork tacos with fresh cilantro. Also, we tried both the agua piña and the agua fresa. Don't forget the sautéed cactus! To learn more, click on this link: youtube.com/watch?v=Nx64…

I've hardly ever seen another soul in this place, so I'm not sure how it stays in business...BUT, the food is consistently great. Their food all tastes very fresh, their chips are crisp and authentic...and the service is always attentive and pleasant. The interior is a bit plain, but everything is clean, including the bathrooms (no mean feat in a mexican place!) Anyone looking for an authentic mexican meal in the Warminster area HAS to try this place out...its head and shoulders above the other local Mexican cuisine in my opinion. Do this place a favor, take a seat, and order yourself something good.

Let's get down to business: Salsa&chips = 3/10 at most. Their pico De Gallo had a hint of sweetness that I DID NOT like. Tomatoes and the cilantro was not fresh. Maybe packaged pre made salsa?? Burrito = 7/10 I ordered the beef burrito: the burrito it's self was pretty good all around. Rice was not to my liking but it was okay. Beef was good. The sauces they gave you were pretty good too. Especially the sour cream with a little bit of spice in it was interesting. However I like my Mexican food not to be mild but on the spicier side and maybe I should have asked for Verde sauce and make things spicier but I wanted to try it out the vanilla way. Anyway. Might come back but hard to say. The lady who served me was nice and cheerful which was a +.

Seen this place many times and finally got to try it last night with my husband. Overall location is OK with plenty of parking. There seems to be seating for a larger group down to a couple table. The waitress we had was really nice and prompt with everything. The salsa and chips were good but the salsa had a hint of sweetness that I'm not use to. I had the carne asada fajitas and they were delicious. My husband had the carne asada tacos and enjoyed it. We also tried the pupusas which I've never heard before but my husband has been recommended years ago to try the dish. It was yummy, spicy but definitely something to finish there as the sauce can make it mushy after some time. Drinks were out of bottles but plenty of ice was always provided. Decent prices and clean place. Will be returning in the future.

I went for takeout for lunch today. I ordered the steak burrito and chorizo tacos for my companion. I was waited on the minute I walked in by a very nice, gracious middle aged woman. She went back and cooked the good as well. The food tasted fresh and was very flavorful and delicious. The decor is very understated and minimalistic, but takeout it's more than sufficient. The most important thing is the food and if you want authentic, then stop in and see.

Not much from the outside located at the end of a dingy shopping center, across from the Univest. Stopped for lunch and ordered the Churrasco special with the Pineapple Water. I got the whole jar! Frothy and refreshing. The waitress, who I'm assuming is the owner was very attentive and nice. She was always checking up on me. I appreciate little things like showing me the bathroom personally, and opening the door with her elbows. Shows that cleanliness is taken seriously. The Churrasco came quickly. It was a very complete plate, and the steak was made perfectly. It came with salad, grilled potatoes, tortillas, broken rice and refried beans and grilled onions. The green onions were a little too tough to eat though. Will come back. ***Edit : after reading someone else's review about being overcharged I think I got overcharged too. The Churrasco and pineapple water for lunch ran at $24.50. It was a special, so I don't know the actual price. Pretty pricey or a 'mistake'. The checks are not itemized, so make sure you request an itemized check. Degraded from 5 stars to 4 because of this.

DO NOT judge this book by its cover. The Mexican at Taco Suave is by far the best I've had in PA. If you're a cheese lover, like me, order the nachos. Basically a heaping pile of delicious cheese and refried beans over amazing (probably homemade) chips. The tacos are fantastic, authentic and perfect. Don't miss the carnitas or carne asada. As a newbie to the area, the whole time I was eating, I kept thinking "this is what i'll be craving after a night out..." I then read almost exactly the same comment in the review below mine. Good quality Mexican food is hard to find, and this is it, for sure.

I feel bad writing this review. Food was just ok but service was horrible. Unfortunately the server for a Saturday night struggled with the English language and my Spanish is not great. We ordered the goat and the shrimp burrito and some how got the burrito and taco salad. Though the shrimp inside the burrito was under cooked, it had a good taste and the tortilla was too thick. When the taco salad came out, I told waitress that was not ordered she gestured 1 minute so I thought that was part of my goat entree. Well it wasn't. So, then I had to ask again for the goat. When it finally came out it was really good but I didn't eat much of it because I was aggravated. When the bill was delivered, it was way more than I expected. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I'm torn b/c food was ok. However, I will not be a return customer due to the service. It was aggravating and exhausting. So dine at your own risk. If you are comfortable with Spanish language you should not have a problem.

pretty good overall. I had the Varvacoa tacos (pulled lamb) which I thought were decent, the salsa was "eh, ok". The service was atrocious because one of servers didn't understand a word of English and kept bringing me wrong items I was asking for..lol. My GF had the fajitas (she was disappointed they didn't come out sizzling) and they weren't anything to sneeze at she said

Excellent traditional mexican food. I've eaten here twice now and have been completely happy with everything that I've eaten. The papusas were unparalled in quality, with a great tangy orange sauce. The mole, pipian, and green sauces were all fantastic on chicken and enchiladas. Get the Agua de Pina and you won't be disappointed. Fresh pineapple blended into a light froth is a great accompaniment to the spicy, roasted flavors of the dishes. Dessert is worth it too, with one of the richest, creamiest flans in memory. Service is apt as long as the place isn't packed.

This place is our go to tacqueria. Taco Suave has safe parking (best tacquerias are in norristown, but it's a bit dicey), huge portions, and they speak English. First time we went there, we ordered two burritos. We didnt even lay a finger on the second. Wife and I now formulaically order the steak burrito and chimichanga combo. Love it so much that we introduced it to our church. Checked in 5x and still no dysentery.

The Chile relleno Delicious and the Gigantor burritos worth thr price

Defiantly worth the visit, get the homemade water. I got the best Menudo in the north east!

  • Pat M.

ok ok here's the deal if you like taco Bell and fake Mexican food you will hate this place, because it tastes nothing like that. If you however love authentic Mexican food, you have come to the right place! I'll be honest for the first 2 years I went here, every Friday, I would get Steak, Chicken and Al Pastor (pineapple and pork) Tacos religiously. Then one day I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried their fajitas... so glad I did they are my new favourite. Had steak and chicken so far and love them. Also fell in love with the homemade Spanish rice.... You will love this place.

Awesome burritos and chimichangas! Definitely the best I have had. We've eaten at Taco suave 10 or 11 times, and every time we loved it. it is consistently good! If we lived closer, we would definitely be regulars! Good, authentic Mexican food. Fairly priced, and friendly staff.

  • Karen K.

The food was good-- mole enchilada sauce was delicious, though chicken was dry. Chips and pico de gallo were standard, and the agua de pina (pineapple water) was thirst quenching. The service was affable, warm. But boy... I should have listened to the other reviews and stayed away. They overcharged me on the bill!!! First of all, it wasn't itemized. I spoke to the waitress about it. I was under the impression that my beverage was $2.00. Turns out that it was almost $5.00 because it came in the form of a half pitcher-- THAT I DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR! Then she states there's an extra charge for the second round of chips and salsa. Isn't that supposed to be complimentary? She realized right away that I was annoyed and started to knock off 2 dollars off the total. I don't care how good the food is at a place... if you 1) assume that your customer wants something she didn't ask for, 2) can't build the cost of food into your menu prices and 3) you don't have the class to itemize the bills you give your clientele, you are NOT worthy of anyone's business. AVOID THIS PLACE.

I decided to stop by since I was in the area and craving some authentic Mexican cuisine. I was literally by myself (late lunchtime on a tues) and really excited to try the pazole!! It was delicious ( granted my first and only time) I believe it's pork and has hominy, lettuce, radishes, onions and they give you a small container of dried oregano. Not the biggest fan of the lettuce cause it's gets all wilted but add some hot sauce and it's a meal in itself!!! I got also got the taco lunch special (2 pork tacos and rice) and that was good. Besides the amazing service from the sweet lady, the salsa was way sweet! Wasn't the biggest fan but everything is def fresh! And the pineapple water is a must. I don't like pineapples but I read reviews and just had to try it and thank u guys! Great reviews :) I'm excited to come back to try the burritos esp since I come out here for Costco shopping (soooo close by!) pretty dangerous when I find good food cause then I get cravings :/ enjoy this gem and eat up!!!

Great little local Mexican joint in a strip mall off of Street Road. I stopped in for dinner with my mom when we were in the area based on Yelp. It did not disappoint. I had the enchiladas mole, and my mom had the chile rellenos. The portions were huge and we waited a bit for the food to come out which made me think everything was very fresh. The mole sauce wasn't the best I've had, but it was good and for $8.95 the price couldn't be beat. My mom loved her dish, she was using the corn tortillas on the side to scoop up her sauce. In addition, I ordered horchata and she ordered pineapple water. We could hear the blender going in the back after we placed out orders, but we were surprised when we each received a pitcher of said drinks. And they were only $2. As a Center City dweller, that was a crazy deal. The horchata was really good too, not too sweet. It seems like this place has been around for awhile, but it was pretty empty, so go and support this local spot!

Awesome!! Our new favorite place. Get the pineapple water to start off with. Complementary chips salsa are amazing. Tacos carnitas and enchiladas verde were phenomenal!

Went to this strip mall BYO last night for dinner with my to bests. I did check out the previous Yelp reviews before heading over so I was definitely looking forward to what was in store. The chips we were served when we sat down were really hard, but tasty with the fresh salsa. I ordered the 1 burrito, 1 chimichanga combo and wow was it delicious! The chimichanga was packed with delicious shredded chicken and tons of melty cheese. The burrito el pastor included the most perfectly seasoned pork with grilled onions and cilantro in addition to the rice, cheese and lettuce. It was so good but so filling that I've got about 80% of the burrito for lunch today. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

We decided to have trial meal one night. We got the Tostadas, Carne Asada, Beans nachos and the wings. For desert we had the Sopapillas, Oh My! ~They were soooo good. They served them with Vanilla Ice cream and used honey and Chocolate Syrup over everything! The servings were generous and the flavors was very authentic. What caught my "flavor" was the sour cream used. I can tell that was home made, I could taste the lemon flavor in it, used to "cut" the milk. The wings were bold in flavor, not spicy hot, a good balance of taste. There were dry style and well seasoned. After trying their food, we decided to have them to do some dishes for a family party. Even though they did not have a catering menu, they met our request. All my guests loved the dishes. Some of the meals we order were the Wings, Chicken Nachos and the Sopapillas. Next day some of my friends were calling to see if they could stop by to get some Sopapillas... but there were gone! Definitely a place to enjoy!

This is a great lunch spot for anyone in the area. All the recipes are straight from the home of the cook, which I learned after speaking with our waitress who was her daughter.

interesting drink tactics to start. they bring you a glass full of ice and a straw, followed by homemade hot chips and homemade salsa. when you're good and thirsty, they ask what you'd like to drink. they promptly bring a whole pitcher which stays on the table with you food: hot chips and homemade salsa - nice and hot and salsa was fresh carne burrito - cheesy stuffed and big for $8...served with hot sauce...didnt finish it all 'cause it was too hot for me shrimp fajita - good, not great...beautiful woman said she was sad when she got it (buyers remorse) because she could have just made it at home cheese quesadilla - cheesy and that's about it...not much more to it Christmas garland inside saying 'hey, its a holiday in here year round'...walls painted with a brick stencil and were kind of interesting...spanish music plays throughout food was just ok....weird because it got so many great reviews service was grand

Taste is good, but the service is terrible. They only have one timid girl to attend the guests. The place is not very appealing. ALthough the food tastes good, the prices are for suited for a more upscale restaurant. We were surprised to have paid over $50 for a lunch for 2. For half the money we would have eaten just as good at Chipotle.

I have passed by this place every day for years and just decided to give it a try. If you're looking for reasonably priced truly authentic mexican restaurant then you should give this place a try. The carne assada burrito was delicious and well seasoned. I did bite into a few fatty pieces of beef and the soft shell beef tacos were very greasy which is why I lowered my rating by a star. I wasn't adventurous enough to try the cow tongue or goat tacos but if you're really into authentic mexican cuisine this place has a lot of unique options. Overall the food was good and the place was very clean. The service was friendly and quick. They also do take out and the order was prepared quickly. Worth a try.

Taco Suave - it's not just a meal it's an adventure. You get dinner AND a show...... Very unassuming place. Not fancy - typical Mexican restaurant decor. We've always ordered take out but never ate in until tonight. The food is really VERY GOOD. There is a slight language barrier but that makes the experience more interesting. Give it a try - you know you want to!!

It pains me to remember the recently completed dinner at Taco Suave. Such high expectations after reading the other reviews. Such auspicious beginnings. Such a sudden and disappointing finale. We walked in to this tiny strip mall corner restaurant. About a dozen tables with white table clothes. I was thinking that in my experience, the hole in the wall Mexican joints were always the best. At least, that had been true in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and even SoCal. We sat and ordered the Agua de Pina (Pineapple Water), which was a first and a pleasant drink of diluted pineapple juice whipped to a froth. Really good! I was getting more excited as I imagined we had just discovered the Fountain of Youth drink right here in Warrington. Then the homemade Chips and Fresh Salsa came out. Heavy crunchy mild oily sensation with a mild Mexi flavor, and a Tomato, Cilantro Salsa with a sweetness equal to the chili's heat. Loved it. Encouraged and feeling adventurous by the fun of the apps and drink, I went for the Pollo Dorado (Golden Fried Chicken), the most expensive item on the menu. Visions of plump chicken breast with a wonderful fruity sauce danced in my head. My friends had a Burrito de Carne Asada, and a Taco con Queso. What was placed before me was instead three over cooked deep fried drumsticks with an oil soaked brown coating that tasted primarily of salt. My physical reaction to eating this was matched by the instantly deflated sense of gluttony so rudely assaulted and kicked to the curb. I kept eating hoping for a secondary burst of flavor to save this. It did not come. I passed around the chicken and the reaction was universal. Bad. The Burrito de Carne Asada was large and full of bits of beef and cheese, but way too mild, and a bit too fatty. It was left one third eaten. The Taco con Queso presented well, but was practically tasteless. We liberally added hot salsa to throw them life preservers, but we could not save them. The dinner was a victim of drowning. We will not be back. I wish I had a different review to write about Taco Suave, but true to the Yelpers Creed, I cannot hide from the bitter taste of a disappointing meal. Our server, Mirna, was great!

First thanks to all who have reviewed this place, it's because of you that I tried Taco Suave. The pineapple water was awesome and so were their chips and salsa. I had the Tierea y Mar and it was very tasty. For dessert I had the Flan, wow it was great. My waitress Shirley was outstanding. She was just like the other reviewer below said, happy, always smiling and answered all my questions from her heart not in rush or like I was bothering her. I travel all over the US ad I wish all of my waitresses was half what she was. Thank you Shirley, you have a friend for life.

I just moved to Warminster after living the last 9 yrs in Tucson. This was credible Mexican border food. The chicken mole enchiladas stole the show! Great carnitas as well!

My husband and I stopped into this little gem today after a trip to Costco. We had the Molajete and loved every bite. This special seemed to get better as we ate our way through it. It came with steak, chicken, grilled cheese, cactus, grilled onion and a skewer of shrimp with bacon. The sauce was delicious. They served it with a basket of corn and flour tortillas, plus an entire plate of rice and refried beans on the side. We stuck with the corn tortillas, as they looked homemade and smelled wonderful. All of them had just come off the grill as well. I can't wait to go again and try the tacos and other dishes. It's a little spot in a strip mall, so doesn't have the ambiance of some of the pricier Mexican restaurants in the area, but I'd trade atmosphere for great food at more than reasonable prices any day. Oh, and the complementary house-made chips and pico de gallo were excellent.

This "hole in the wall" serves the best Mexican food I've ever had, far and wide. The portions are huge, the food is incredibly fresh, the salsa is homemade, the service is very polite. This is the real deal, blows away any Mexican establishments in the area and Philly.

Really great burrito. I had the carne asada burrito here and it was fantastic. Their guacamole is different compared to most places, it has a lot of lime in it which I didn't like. I also tried the chicken enchiladas. They were great too. Come here if you're looking for basic and delicious Mexican standards.

They made chicken tacos in soft corn tortillas for me even though they were not on the menu..lady was nice and helpful...the tacos were delicious and what set them off was the salsa verde and the spicy salsa roja i asked for..authentic street style tacos with cilantro onions and lime...will be back

Small unassuming authenic mexican food joint in a strip mall you've probably passed 100 times and never noticed it was there. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were more than fair for the price. Complimentary chips and fresh made salsa make me happy. Get the Pupusas and prepare for mouthal pleasure. We also got the goat and pork tacos. YUH-UM. Will be craving this at 3am fo sho. The place was clean and the service was SUPER friendly. Told them it was my husband's bday (not trying to milk them for anything, just as a conversational starter) and the waitress was so psyched we chose to go there to celebrate. She gave us a free dessert, which was totally unexpected but was extremely appreciated by our stomachs. I'm a loyal customer to another taco place in the area, but am thrilled to find this place because they have different menus items and even the food they have thats the same (al pastor tacos) they prepare it a little differently. Luckily I'm not being asked to choose. :) Will DEFINITELY be back, and strongly urge any other fans of real deal mexican food to give this place a shot.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
