I've been here a number of times as it is a great place to get some good bar food at a low cost. I recommend coming between 5 and 7 to get cheap appetizers and save some money on their already reasonably priced drinks. That being said it's bar food plain and simple, nothing fancy here, and nothing worth going out of your way to eat at. It's nice if you are in the neighborhood though. The sandwiches are generous sized and a good value for the money you are paying. The service I have had is hit or miss, sometimes they are dramatically understaffed for the number of people in the dining area and sometimes they are not. This leads to sporadic service. I would like to note that most of the waitstaff is friendly and helpful with the exception of one waitress who seems to be continually in a mode where she hates the world. I can't help but think that she would be happier in a job that doesn't make her deal with the general public. Check the place out if you are in the neighborhood.

1st time here. Bar on one side and small restaurant on the other; kind of liked how they are separate. Arrived around 1pm. Only a few people in the bar area. Got a beer and a menu right away. The menu has a lot of reasonable american fare. I ordered a grilled chicken salad ($8.50) which was pretty darn good. Chicken grilled nicely and all the vegetables were crisp and fresh. My beer came in a frosty mug. Service was friendly and fast and the place was clean. If I am in the area again, I would definitely return here. OH, one of the patrons got a Ruben, it looked delicious, I was a bit jealous.

My uncle and aunt eat here regularly, but was put off for a long time about how dingy the place looked while driving past it on Route 8. Finally gave this place a chance last week, and I can say for the most part the food itself wasn't bad. I ordered the fish sandwich lunch --- Scoreboard's best seller --- and got mac and cheese and coleslaw. Fish sandwich was decent, mac and cheese was great, very rich and decadent, and coleslaw was kind of a letdown. They're pretty much serving you refrigerated cabbage; there was no flavor at all. I did keep in mind that this is the best seller, so who knows if the other dishes are at the same level. Service was OK, but definitely saw a couple eye rolls from our waiter at various points while ordering. Decor was dated --- so much wood paneling. Can see how this is a successful local watering hole, but not a particularly memorable dining experience. On a positive note: Apparently they just made the restaurant and bar a nonsmoking facility. That's a big plus for me, since cutting through secondhand smoke at the bar is the worst. I might come back, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

I personally think some people are Crazy for going to places like this and expecting some fabulous meal. The employees are always very nice, they have great burgers and fries and it's super cheap.

This is just one of those places you go to to drink and get drunk for cheap, and they happen to have somewhat OK food. There are not many choices for restaurants around my office, but this is one of them. Its not a regular place just because its not that great! Good things? Their fish sandwich is good. Its a huge portion and always good just right. They also have pretty good burgers, but both of these things are sort of fool proof foods. I'd say they are typical diner style food, quick, cheap, and probably frozen. Also they have the good golden Italian dressing, so cant go wrong there! Cons? Everything is SO outdated. Tables, floor, everything. It needs a good deep cleaning. Waitstaff are so slow. It doesn't matter if there is 1 other person in there eating, or 10, you are waiting for a while for drinks and food. This is not a place to go out of your way for. It is a cheap stop if needed for "American" style food. Stick with the fish or a burger and fries and you'll be okay! A classic case of a bar that tries the food thing and it just doesn't work out.

This place is going downhill like a runaway truck. We stopped by today and walked out. They seem to always be short staffed....when we walked in today the server rolled her eyes and told us to sit anywhere. After 5-10 minutes of waiting and nobody greeting us we walked out. This will be our last time coming here. We used to come frequently but the experiences continue to get worse. We live in the area but we will pass them by in the future. It seems like the only business they really have is in their bar.....which allows smoking.......GROSS! The men's room is in the bar so if you need to use the washroom you will stink like an ashtray by the time you get back to your table. If I could give them zero stars I would. They should be ashamed of themselves.

My family and I frequent the scoreboard often. The wings are my favorite item on menu- really good and crispy. I normally go with the season salt, but the sauces are good too. We enjoy the burgers and the fish sandwich (which is their specialty) The salads are just okay. Would be nice to get something other than iceberg lettuce. The great part is the cheap drinks! A glass of wine for $3- you can't beat that! Also, they recently became non-smoking which is great. The inside could use some updating, but overall we have had good experiences there!

We were in town and met family for dinner - it's a place that is frequented by locals who enjoy it - we heard it they serve great fish, but I won't even know because I am NOT coming back! The place had an odor when you walked it - whether it be due to the it being old or from the smoke of the bar, it wasn't pleasant! I ordered a flavorless burger which came with a soggy bottom bun (bleh!!), cole slaw that had no flavor and some tasty french fries! Needless to say I won't be returning....

Cheap place. Its pretty decent food. I wouldnt recommend it for you if you are looking for anything more than a dive type place. I came here several times with family.

Expected so much more from what I got. Place is aged and dirty. Smoke in the bar section is so thick it was unbearable just walking through to use the restroom. The tables are jammed in close together. So close that a toddler behind me at another table was pulling on my shirt. The crowd was all blue hairs. Not the scene I expected for a "sports bar/ restaurant", far from it!! I ordered two pounds of chicken wings. I am a wings NUT so I was REALLY looking forward to getting them. When I got them, they looked ok. They were on the large side as wings go. The hot BBQ sauce, was ok. A good amount of heat. The Butter/Garlic was disgusting, I expected more than a melted puddle of butter. After I got a few wings down, I noticed that I didn't get the veggies that were SUPPOSED to come with the wings (per their menu) or the Blue Cheese dressing (had to ask for it). By the time the blue cheese dressing arrived, I couldn't choke anymore of the overcooked, rubbery pieces of eraser down. I ate a total of four wings out of like 14. I hope that I never end up in this place again, if I do...it will be a liquid dinner (beer). I would recommend that you stay clear of this place.

11 months out of the year the food is spectacular and the service is exceptional. We have eaten here at least twice a month, but this was the first time we had been there during Lent. We have never had a bad meal until last night.( 3/9.) Evidently, if you aren't there for their Lenten fish dinner, your business doesn't matter. We went to hang out, catch some of the pens game and grab some awesome munchies. Instead we were all but ignored at the bar by Mandy the bartender. Took an hour to get 2 bowls of soup, which she brought out to us in a to-go bag and another 45 minutes to get our apps, which sat under the heat lamp too long and burned. We tried twice to leave between the soup and the apps, but we couldn't get her attention to get us the check, and she had already taken the card to run a tab so we didn't want anything else added if we just walked out. Tried to get a manager, but the host with the clipboard was too busy to help since we weren't on his list for a table in the dining room. This is a small locally owned restaurant and bar, and usually the owner is always around. Not sure where he was last night. Hubby and I were both in the restaurant biz for a long time, and we had never seen anyone treat customers as we were treated last night. It was also the first time we have never tipped anyone!! We left hungry, and angry at being treated so poorly after being good customers....not regulars, but pretty steady. Maybe we'll try again after Easter.
