Great place for a flavorful sandwich or salad... Always daily specials... One of the best kept secrets in Uniontown... Seats about 50 comfortably plus 12 stools at the bar... The sandwich selection is great... Waitress are attentive... Dress is casual... We are usually here for lunch or dinner... We've never been here for the night life, but we've heard it a great place to hang out at night... There's a few TV's with sports & news... Enjoy!!!

Omg what an awesome place. Everything we ordered was amazing. Diablo chicken delish. Alfredo delish. Sampler plate amazing. 5 stars would come back for sure.

We live in a nearby town, and like to shop in Uniontown, but didn't know about this place until I happened to find a certificate in Restaurant.com , and GLAD TO SAY WE WENT!!! Our family of 4 (including teens) ate WELL for $50, appetizer included! Excellent bar-type food, but great choices, I had the blackened salmon salad, the steak salad was also large enough to fill my husband's belly! The nachos supreme appetizer was large, and full of toppings on fresh homemade chips! WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!! A delicious find in a deserted town.

All I can say is GREAT FOOD & awesome service! There is something on the menu for everyone. Prices are reasonable, food is hot, plenty of choices at the bar, a must to stop at in a deserted town!

Stopped here by chance on a work trip and after reading the reviews. On a cold December day, the chicken noodle soup was excellent. Flavorful, not too hot, and full of veggies. The Reuben sandwich was excellent, too. Prompt, attentive, and friendly waitresses. All in all, a phenom little place for lunch with homey, but unique, atmosphere.

Nice little lunch place just across the street from the office. They're quick and friendly here. Lunch specials vary depending on the day of the week. I would suggest people go for the sandwiches.

I'm a Uniontown native and I was in town for the week. My brother and I had an appointment downtown and decided to get some lunch here. I took a peek inside on the way to our appointment and it looked quite cozy. It has a sort of old school charming pub feel with a nice bar in front. We sat in one of the cozy booths. I like the lighting in there- not too bright; warm and inviting. The food was great. I guess they are known for their sandwiches. I ordered the cajan salmon salad and my brother ordered the "German Invader" sandwich. The food is quite tasty and the regular fries were delicious- golden and crispy- just the way I like them. Portions are on the larger side, I took mine home for dinner. Also they have a really nice patio and outdoor bar which wasn't open yet because of the weather. I would definitely check out the patio if the weather permits. Coming from someone like myself who's been living in New York City for the past twenty years, it doesn't get much better than this in Uniontown- the food is homemade and fresh. If you live in Uniontown, do yourself a favor and come into town and eat HERE! Support local businesses. Don't go to one of those terrible chain restaurants where all the food is overly processed. I recommend this place for lunch or catching up with friends or family. I would totally eat here again next time I am in town visiting.

We stopped here on a road trip from St. Louis MO to DC. Food was very good. Some interesting sandwich combos, great flat bread pizza, and very friendly service. They even offered to change one of the TVs to cartoons while we were waiting for our food to keep the kids occupied. Taken for what it is, standard American bar food with some interesting favors, it's definitely a hit! And great prices!

J Pauls is (in my opinion) the best lunch spot in downtown Uniontown. Even if you stick to their "21 Classic Sandwiches" portion of the menu, you can find a lot of variety. Prices are very reasonable, service is good, and the food is tasty! Make sure to get the regular fries instead of the hand-cut fries -- the "regular" fries are seasoned with some sort of magic J Pauls spices and are pretty thick, while the hand-cut fries are not seasoned, and are kind of like shoestring fries. If you can't decide what to get, try my personal favorite, #19 (The Parm Date). They also seem to have a lot of events planned in the evenings. Since there's not a whole lot going on in the big UT on any given night, stopping by J Pauls probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
