Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

This was our favorite place to eat pizza when we lived in the area. Their pizza is better than any we've had in our travels around the country. The sauce is tasty, the dough is fresh and crisp. We always buy a tray and end up inhaling it! We stop and have one when we're in town. Would be a 5 star place if they took credit cards.

Awesome pizza! The best mild wing sauce in NEPA! Unfortunately horrible service. Also they serve nasty RC soda products.

This is a restaurant that truly lives up to the high standards set by its name. If you enjoy deep-fried square pizza I can't recommend this place enough. I used to live in Dallas and ordered from here every Friday night. Now I live in Wilkes-Barre but still drive up whenever I can. The chicken wings are the best I've ever had and I consider myself something of a connoisseur. The sauce is amazing - sweet and totally unique. There is takeout but no delivery. The restaurant is always packed and there's limited parking out front.

Love, love, love this place! If 10 stars was an option I would give them the 10 without batting an eye. My daughter will not eat Sicilian pizza anywhere else (believe me we have tried). We always make a point to stop by when we are back in town and always order extra to bring back to NY with us. We have traveled up and down the east coast from NY to FL and nothing comes even remotely close to comparing to this fantastic pizza.

Great local Sicilian pizza. Very kid friendly (they will love watching the trains) and the pizza is to die for. When friends come in from out of town, this is a must have! We have yet to have a complaint!

Pizza Perfect is part of the holy trinity of fried pizza along side of Victory Pig and Pizza L'Oven. Their dough is slightly thinner than Pizza L'Oven, and their sauce is a bit more salty (over sweet) than Victory Pig. All three places are fantastic, though. Which would be the head of Pizza Heaven? Probably Pizza L'Oven. It's thick, salty, and they don't skimp on the onions. At the right hand of Pizza L'Oven is definitely Pizza Perfect, though. Plus, the service is super friendly, and they're open far more often than VP. Cash only!

Really great pizza, really great wings. Beer is cold. Very friendly atmosphere, and the service is quick even when there is a crowd. Parking is difficult to find if it is a busy day, so try to plan to go on a less busy day.

The pizza was pretty good. I don't know what exactly made it so good but we enjoyed it. The corn fritters was what I was after. During a trip to PA , on or way back to CT before leaving, I searched for a place that made corn fritters. We went there based on yelp reviews and don't regret it, you won't either.

Stopped on a visit from out of town, and I have to say I've never had pizza this way, so good! They are like Sicilian slices but with a toasty, flavorful crust... Was told they use olive oil. Service was okay. The booth was too small for all of our food, though they brought out everything anyway. I would suggest waiting for one course to be done before bringing out the other because of the small tables. Otherwise a very cool place, love the pizza, love the all American vibe.

AMAZING PIZZA and wings!!! I can't say enough about the Sicilian style white pizza with onion and ham. I'm drooling just thing about it. I only get to this area in the summers but Pizza Perfect pizza is so good I freeze it to bring it home! The restaurant is very rustic and has a cute train that goes around the room that the kids love. And the blonde lady at the counter with a big ole smile and friendly greeting every time is just the icing on the cake. I am a fan for life!

I'm from Long Island and eat pizza all the time. The pizza and wings where fantastic. First the wings were perfectly cook crispy and not to much sauce we got mild. Then the pizza was Sicilian style but not as dough as New York Sicilian pizza's are and the sauce was good with a nice oniony flavor but the best was the crispy crust that's round this slice off nicely. Would defiantly stop and eat again if in the area.

This is definitely one of northeast PAs best pizza places. No other state offers sicilian like this.. I am a military wife and nothing beats pizza from back home. I love the Pizza Perfect sells their pizza frozen... it makes it so easy to travel with and take back home... just heat it in oven or toaster oven. Appetizers here are very good as well. The employees have always been nice. They do not accept credit/debit cards.

Apparently my Husband and his Brother loved this place since childhood. I can see why. It is SUPER oily, with a very crispy crust. Other than the fact that it is fried, I don't see what is so special about this place. Yet it is always busy, it is often hard to find a parking spot! The pizza isn't actually perfect, but it's not bad for what you get. I'm going to rate this as a 3.5 stars.

I have to say this is the best pizza I have ever had. I have been going here for years and every time I go here the pizza and the service is great. The wings are very good and I love the trains that go around it is just a great place to go for a great pizza. I just took my girlfriend here for the first time and now she loves there pizza we had to take sum pizza home. The name says it all PIZZA PERFECT!

I prefer their pizza to all the hyped up places in Old Forge. It's sicilian style but thinner and not too doughy. Sauce is tasty, perfect amount of cheese and very crispy crust (almost like deep dish flavor). Order it with onions if you like them as the sweetness offsets the crust very well. Takeout it convenient, prices are very reasonable too.

This is my girlfriend's favorite pizza, and it's one of my coworkers favorite pizza. You don't argue with a woman's taste. The buttery crust complements the saucy buffalo chicken pizza so well that we are sure to return.

EW. The grossest pizza I have ever had the displeasure of being forced to eat in my entire life. You know when you stay very, very far away from something from the time you are a little kid because - even back then - you just know how repulsive a certain food item is, and you just can not get past it?.... Have you ever been in a situation where you just nod your head, smile, and take a bite out of a food item because a person hands it to you, and waits for you to eat it, at THEIR approval? ........"Mmmm, oh.. this is so good, thank you"........ Then you excuse yourself, walk briskly to the nearest bathroom, and...dispose of your half-chewed, soon-to-be-garbage food? This could be an over cooked steak, a vegan dessert... or Pizza Perfect. Yes. It's that bad. Thanks, but no thanks, I'm an adult now, I will pass on this - forever.

I just made my first visit to PP in a while when I was back in town visiting my parents. They definitely still have it! We ordered 6 slices of pizza, 30 wings, and an order of the Mixed Beer Battered Veggies. The pizza was so tasty! We got 2 corner cuts - the Pizza Perfect first timer in the crowd remarked that the onions in the sauce take a little getting used to but are a really surprisingly unique and delicious element. The wings were great as always and the mixed beer battered veggies are plentiful and tasty. I am such a big fan of this place - great food, helpful staff, cool atmosphere. Awesome.

I don't know what Ed's talking about either. Pizza Perfect is awesome. My husband and I grew up in the valley, but almost every trip back involves a trip to Pizza Perfect (and we're back at least every other month or so to visit my ILs). We love their pizza (their corner pieces are my favorite), their wings are awesome, and I can't get enough of their mini tacos. Love them. We also regularly bring home their frozen pizzas and bake it in our own oven. Not as good as what you can get in the restaurant, but still pretty darn tasty.

Pizza Perfect is probably the most overrated pizza in the Wyoming Valley area. Its a super greasy hybrid between Victory Pig and Old Forge pizza. The pizza is heavy and tasteless. I can't quite understand how this place is packed on weekend nights, but judging by the shear size of the clientele, Pizza perfect has a lot of regulars. We ordered a tray of the regular pizza and 6 slices of the red pizza. Both types were lacking flavor, and even the red pizza was covered in a layer of heavy grease.

Pizza Perfect entered my life in the evening of my youth. Toward the end where you get to know your uncles better, drink a beer with family friends, and kick dust in the town you'd visit to see your grandma. It seems that Pizza Perfect has wrested the title of Best Pizza (bar none) that has touched my gut. I've been to Chicago, had the good stuff. NY style is just fine but doesn't keep with me like the "fried" Sicilian/Old Forge styled cuts-- from this place especially. Pizza Perfect's cuts can keep with pepperoni better than their competitors, seem to have a better cheese, and may have some garlic involved(?). The atmosphere is the bee's knees too. Homey, local, and charming. Big pitchers of birch beer and frosty mugs of Yuengling for nothing. Yuengling goes cheap in NEPA. I also like their little appetizers. Wings are a staple of NEPA. Every place that sells beer has good hot wings. It might be law. They've got mini potato pancakes, tacos, and pierogies among other light fare. I have not tried their sandwiches but I would if I ever got sick of their Pizza for a single day. This place seriously makes me want to drive four hours round-trip.

This pizza is sure to give you a heart-attack. A slow, deliciously mouthwatering heart attack. I appreciate the square pizza, especially when craving something out of the ordinary. They give you the option to add onions, which I always say yes to. Some don't like it, but I personally think it adds great flavor. Oh, make sure you get the corn fritters with maple syrup in addition to the pizza. Might as well go hard at this point.

Haven't been here in a while, as I no longer live in Dallas. Yet in all the times I had it (spread out over about 23 years) I remember it always tasting exactly the same. It seems to be unable to decide whether it wants to be Old Forge style or a Victory Pig knock off. That said, both are great, and this stuff is pretty close to both. I have to say, I don't know why people are talking about Chicago pies on here. First, Chicago doesn't make pizza--it makes lasagna with identity dysphoria disorder (does it want to be lasagna, pizza, or southern-style cornbread with marinara sauce and cheese?)--though I admit that I love it. Second, real pizza comes from four places: Italy, NEPA (preferably Pizza Perfect or anywhere in Old Forge), NYC, and New England (and particularly Boston). This stuff is up there, though--but Chicago? No no no. Geno's East is close but pricey; Uno's sold out; Edwardo's apparently has gotten blander and can make that nice Chicago lasagna but cremates a simple margherita pie. That won't do. Where was I? Ah, yep. Pizza Perfect cuts with Yuengling Lager. Man, I wish I went back more often.

I have no idea what Ed is talking about in his review, but the Pizza Perfect that I know is "perfect". It is square pizza and it's absolutely fantastic. I live out of town and I make sure that I go there whenever I come back to visit. The frozen pizza is for people like me who love their pizza so much that I get it frozen, pack it in ice and drive it 300 miles home. Then I can enjoy it whenever I want. By the way, their wings are also great!

The name says it all; this is truly PERFECT PIZZA. "But wait" - you may say - "doesn't perfect pizza only come from NYC, Chicago and occasionally New Haven?" I would have thought so too, until Peter dragged me here during our PA getaway. We originally arrived at 11:45 am, thinking they'd open at noon...and subsequently were dismayed to see that the actual opening time wasn't until 2pm. Ordinarily, I would have suggested we'd dine someplace else, but the flinty maniacal gleam of determination in his green eyes told me to sit-down, shut-up and just smile; it was Pizza Perfect...or NADA. So we went food shopping, followed beer shopping (Yeah, PA is weird like that; you can only buy cases at 'beer stores', or 6-packs at actual restaurants....and no place else.) And now it's 1:40pm, and even though our house is only 10 minutes away, he *REFUSES* to go home and unpack the groceries. So we spent the next 20 minutes sunning in our car-seats in the rapidly filling parking lot, surrounded by other potential patrons perched on benches. And that's when I knew that Pizza Perfect was *SERIOUS BUSINESS*. When the doors opened at 2pm on the dot, it was like the parting of the Red Sea; all of a sudden a steady stream of people began marching in like Israelites off to the Promised Land of pizza. And sure enough, within 10 minutes of our own arrival, every table and chair in this rather spacious venue was occupied by old and young alike; including several families and a soccer/field hockey(?) team of 18 girls. Judging from what I ate, there are two things that make this pizza so perfect; 1 - The sauce contains slivers of white onions, which are big enough to add a subtle flavor and crunch with every bite, but thin enough to cook during the baking...and hence *NOT* give you onion breath. Muy Bueno. 2 - The crust is somewhere between focaccia and Chicago deep-dish; buttery, crispy, yet slightly pillow-y and chewy (the way we wish Artichoke's crust should be....but isn't.) Sofa king amazing! Did I mention that each slice, called a "cut" because of it's rectangular shape, is only $1.30? And that additional toppings (like the bacon coated cut I sampled...because, bacon makes it better ~ duh) are only $.20? And that a 12 oz cold and frosty mug of Yuengling is only $2?! Granted, if you're hungry, you'll prolly inhale least 4 slices like I did...or 6, if you're a big strong man (ha). But we're still talking about, with tax and tip, a $20 meal that fed two gluttons like us. Delicious *AND* cheap? Pizza Perfect, indeed.

This Pizza is in a word... Perfect! If you do not like onions take notice that it comes with onions automatically so you need to request no onions but if you do they will happily oblige. The pizza comes in big trays with rectangular slices, it is doughy and crispy on the edges with delicious sauce and cheese.. oh and its DIRT CHEAP.. as is everything in here and most things in NEPA in general.. The beers something like 2$ and the pizza is just over a dollar a slice! Good spot for sports teams to drop in after softball games or little league. Very welcoming and homey kind of crowd. Gotta love this place!

My one regret about moving away from NEPA is not being able to have Pizza Perfect pizza and wings whenever I want them! I've yet to find pizza anywhere that comes close to how good their slices are. Yes, parking there is a pain, but it's a part of the experience - just like the train set that has been there for decades. Ideally nothing will change for a couple decades more, so I can bring my future kids here to enjoy the best pizza and wings ever.

I only gave this place 3 stars, let me explain why....It is VERY GOOD. I love the fried crust, the cheese and onions both compliment each other. In my opinion though it's the type of pizza you have to be in the mood for. Nice atmosphere inside, the train that runs along the wall is a nice touch. It's 5 stars when you're in the mood for this type of pizza, so definitely give it a try. Just don't go expecting traditional NY style/Neopolitan pizza.

Far from "perfect". Fried squares. Family friendly. Waitstaff was friendly and responsive. Parking limited. If you like chain style pizza hut, then you'll like this. Its sad with so many "proud Italians" in NEPA, there are no good pizza places. Funny thing, the menu had "frozen pizza" on it. Maybe that or supermarket pizza would have been a better choice.

I don't really "get," or much like, this style of pizza--I'm admittedly snobbish in favor of the pizza I grew up on in New Jersey. It might be very well prepared in that style, but I find the crust too gritty and greasy for my taste.

Pizza Perfect---yet another of the establishments in NEPA that I miss greatly. Thick cuts (not slices) of fried pizza with or without onions that come on these red plastic trays and ooze of unhealthy goodness. Inexpensive heaven on earth. Grab some birch beer (I swear it's the only place that still serves birch beer) and stare at the train that goes around the ledge of the building. Two bad things about PP: a) parking--there is hardly any, and don't even bother trying to park across the street at the pharmacy. b) the wait--it can be long, especially on Friday nights Nevertheless, a NEPA classic...without having to travel down to Old Forge.

We love Pizza Perfect! It is our family tradition to meet up with friends at Pizza Perfect when we visit from Austin Texas. The environment is perfect for lively conversation, the service is good, and you can not find pizza like this anywhere south of the Mason Dixon Line.

Great pizza and you must try the veggies. Check out the cool model trains also. One problem, the service wasn't good. Once our waiter brought the food we didn't see him again until we were ready to go. I had to go to him for the check.
