This is a beautiful venue with an elegant setting. Make sure you sit in the main dining area. The Mother's Day brunch was small and simple, but everything was excellent. Prime Rib, whole roasted turkey, duck a l'orange and a fresh salad bar with everything you need. The soups were excellent and so was desert. I appreciate a restaurant that does a few things really well and is consistent. The service was top notch and really welcoming. I will definitely return.

My family always traveled to PA from NYC as my brother were growing up - one of the staples of our trips was always finding that special place to eat and going back. or my family and I now having a second home in East Stroudsburg - this is now SCI - or as we like to call it just the Stroudsmoor Inn. The place, the food and most importantly the staff are amazing! We always go there on Sunday nights before going back to NYC! If the meal was twice the price it would be worth it!

Went here for the Feast of the Sea buffet on a Friday night, and boy was I impressed. The setting is quaint, and you just know you are in an old building, you can almost feel the history leaking from the wooden walls, but I am not here to lick the walls am I? Hell no, I am here to feast! They have pretty much thought of everything, there is a very extensive salad buffet..why am i having a salad at a buffet you ask, because this place will rekindle or start a love affair with salad, the toppings are endless. It's really a make your own and put whatever the hell you want on it salad bar. Their seafood selections are also endless, cold seafood salad (ceviche almost), blackened salmon, oysters and clams galore, seafood scampi with lobster tails and scallops, steamed snow crab legs, mussels in marinara sauce. Shall I continue? They even had linguine with clam sauce, meatballs, prime rib and pork for those who aren't in the mood for shellfish. It's really worth the price you are paying, because the service is top notch and so is the quality. Cocktails are in the $13-$15 range here, but that is expected in an establishment like this. The dessert is also included in the meal price and it can be accompanied by coffee/tea free of charge. I had the cold bread pudding and it was simply amazing. So why not 5 stars? Well...call me biased and tightfisted for not wanting to give up the 5 star holy grail, but it took me 15 minutes to find the actual restaurant after I entered their complex, it;s just so grand and expansive that it's easy to get lost in there. Maybe I'm too picky? If so please tell me if I am being unfair.

Excellent seafood buffet Friday night. It is pricey but worth it. Elegant, beautiful set up and we enjoy it as our date nights! Good job SCI on both service and quality of food provided.

The mushroom soup is to die for! Love it here. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm having my wedding at Lawnhaven at SCI in June 2014. ;)
