Oh my, I don't think I have ever been happier with a food experience. We had the veal parm (which isn't on the menu) and the eggplant rollatini. The food surpassed every expectation especially with the very reasonable prices. Kevin, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive. I will be coming back here for sure and recommending this place to anyone looking for good Italian food. Kudos to Chris at trackside for the great recommendation!

What's the deal with this place? I think if you know good authentic Italian cuisine you'd find it impossible to find this restaurant acceptable. Decor - there is none, nonexistent Food - like I said it's not acceptable. When they first opened up it wasn't too bad the quality was almost there, but last time I was there a few months ago I laughed. The food is just bad bad bad. The plates look appetizing...sort of, but then after you take a bite you regret giving this place yet another try and wish you drove a few miles up 611 for either Momentos or Pipolos for a real dining experience. Dessert- I know the cakes and creme brûlées are homemade, but since there isn't enough turnover for this place you can tell they've been sitting around in the fridge because it has that stale taste Service - Always on point, which makes me feel bad because the servers give 110% and the kitchen barely gives 50% Also this place is always dead I don't care to eat in restaurants with a dead atmosphere and empty seats Bottom line do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Another oasis in the gastronomic desert they call the Poconos---Garlic'. Kevin, our server, was very helpful in selecting all parts of our meal, and suggestions on what appetizers and desserts could be shared---he even had pics of several dishes for us to look at. I had the crab garlic soup, shared some mozzarella pinwheels, garlic seafood as an entree, and shared a gigantic slice of chocolate cake (three of us couldn't finish it). All were excellent. Prices seemed in line for the quality of food you received.

Excellent service & very good food). The waiter Kevin was attentive & professional. Had the garlic insalata (forgot to snap a photo, ), the 8 oz beef special & the Italian rum cake. Very enjoyable, although, the meat was a little difficult to cut. Not sure if it was the knife or the meat, but the meat was medium rare & tender. The restaurant was very busy, which was nice to see.

Very nice restaurant. Loved the outdoor seating. ( cushions would be an added bonus) menu was very nice, the only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star is the lack of Vegen options. It would be nice to have at least one Vegen option on the menu besides salads. There was eggplant but with cheese. The key lime gelato was a hit with my family. Overall nice place and I'm sure we will be back. An added Vegen menu item would be a nice treat.

Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. We're from New York and recently stayed in the poconos for a few days. We had no clue that PA had a curfew of 2am for alcohol. Moreover, it was extremely hard to find places that stayed open somewhat late! We came across Garlic as someone recommended we head to Main Street if we were thinking of having a late night. So happy we decided to go here! Everything about this place is perfect. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. We ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms, Crab Cake, Mussels-all apps and for drinks we did Margaritas and the Mango Madness. For Dessert we did the Cookie Gelato. Everything was fresh! What we loved is that they make their own sauces which really added to the taste. Hands down best place to eat in the poconos. Looking forward to our next trip and going to Garlic again!

I went there for a brunch with my mom. I'm not sure if they have a special brunch menu, but we ordered from regular menu. The food was amazing, and the service was great. I was so surprised to find such restaurant in Stroudsburg. Tonight, I'm having my birthday dinner party there and I cannot wait for the lobster bisque!

Easily the best Italian restaurant in the Poconos. My wife and I highly enjoyed our dinner last night. We sat at the bar and got amazing service from Alycia, she was very attentive and informative all while making us laugh. The food was really delicious. I had the Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine and it was perfect. Some reviews I read said it was expensive but I feel like you get what you pay for. I'll pay a little extra for fresh delicious food with great service any day. This may be my new favorite restaurant, will absolutely be back for more.

Outstanding food for a New Yorker foodie family that was looking for and easy options off the freeway. Italian inspired dishes were solid and tasty. I give a 5 for the area, our alternatives were Applebee's or Chilis.

First off the food we had was amazing. I had the parchment cooked tilapia. I picked it because I was curious to know how this would taste. The tilapia was cooked just right. The flavor was outstanding. It was cooked in parchment along with carrot slices, onion, and I think some peppers. Serves with broccoli and creamy rice. All in all it was an amazing dish. Well worth the $17.00 My wife had chicken parm dish that she said was very good. She ordered a glass of sangria which she said was very flavor able and strong. She liked it very much The room you sit in is very big with a high ceiling. Very modern looking with stone walls that help separate the room into different sections. Not very noisy. The only odd thing was the music. They were playing Frankie Valley who I like but his music didn't fit the vibe of the place Our waiter, Dante, was very prompt, funny, and friendly. Before my soda was gone he was giving me a fresh new glass. I admire that attention to detail.

This is probably the best Italian restaurants in the Poconos. It has it's own unique set up and decor. Food is delicious but unfortunately a little on the pricey side. Wait staff was courteous and attentive. For dessert I recommend their specialty cake "tall dark and delicious".

We went to Garlic Friday evening one week ago. The food was delicious, our waiter Kyle was very helpful without being obtrusive. Kyle was very professional. We tried his recommendations and were very happy with the choices. We ate on the patio in the rear of the restaurant and there was music that evening which made our experience even better. We both heartily recommend Garlic and Kyle.

Pretty nice place. Appetizers were very good. They have good italian dishes. However, when i ordered veal franchise and asked to have it over linguini, they gave very little linguini, uncommon for an italian place. Drinks were good but somewhat expensive. Took a pretty long time for the food to come out. Was not crowded and it was a pretty busy night on Main Street. Will probably be back.

What a lovely surprise this turned out to be. We were driving back from PA to CT and checked Yelp for a lunch recommendation. This popped up and we stopped off there yesterday. First off the waiter was excellent. My husband made a mistake in his ordering and the waiter took it in stride getting him what he meant to order. Kudos - few restaurants would have handled this so deftly. We started with the crab soup and then my husband had the friend calamari over spicy linguini - very good - the calamari was crisp and tender. I had a chicken caesar salad and ti was tasty and the chicken was moist and cooked properly. All in all this was a great stop and we will return on our next trip to visit the kids.

Love it !!! The owner does it again! Great atmosphere ... Service ... Drinks and food !!! Have been there a few times since they opened and it has been delicious everytime. Definitely one of the best in the area! The sangria is delicious and the fried mozzarella pinwheel stuffed with prosciutto is a must try!

I was unimpressed with this place. Food was mediocre - the calamari was decent. Service was decent - these effusive reviews have my ears perked up. Something fishy going on here.... Decor is nice I guess.

We were staying in the area (at Mt. Airy) and needed some more dining options so we found this place on Yelp. We made same-day reservations, arrived early and were seated promptly. The space is attractive, clean, and open. The service was very good. I had a glass of wine which came in a nicely chilled glass. We asked the waiter for a recommendation on appetizer. He suggested the mozzarella pinwheel so we went with that. We were shocked at how big it was for the price. I said if they served it over some salad it could easily be an entree. But it really was delicious and the mozzarella was obviously homemade as described. The entrees are where things went a little awry. I ordered the entree size of the calamari fra diavlo, which also includes mussels, and is served over pasta. It was almost inediblely spicy. I realize there is some preference involved there but I do typically enjoy spicy food. This I had a hard time eating at all but didn't want to waste the yummy seafood (the calamari and mussels were both excellent in and of themselves). So I mostly picked that off and left almost all the pasta. Fortunately I was still full after that pinwheel! My husband got the lamb, and his comment was that the lamb by itself was good, the broccoli was good, and the risotto was excellent, but that all together it didn't work. The risotto was so cheesy it overpowered the lamb. So he chose to mostly focus on the risotto and broccoli and leave the lamb. He said he would gladly order a risotto primavera entree if they had it! We both realize we may have just chosen poorly on the entrees. Overall we were happy with the place as the quality and service were there it just didn't click all the way for us. We will be back in the area next year and we're definitely open to going back!

we had a nice dinner. Good drink to start. Kevin, our waiter, explained the menu choices really well. The pinwheel appetizer was great. Service was very attentive.

We came here for a bachelorette party weekend and at first glance, the restaurant looked promising from the outside. Walking in, you could see it's pretty spacious and smells great! We had a large group and were seated immediately upon arrival. We shared the fried pinwheel which was amazing. If I could, I would have ordered two as my entree. If you like fried stuff, cheese and prosciutto, you'll love the pinwheel! Also ordered a side house garden salad to go with my chicken parmesan. All delicious! The place gives you delicious bread before you get your appetizers. That bread was warm and toasty with soft butter on the side. Not one of those tubs of butter where you need a jackhammer to crack into it. If you're doing a group outing in the area, I would recommend Garlic.

What a gem. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere is very nice with pleasant classic standards playing. The bread was warm and the garlic butter rocked. Our Caesar salad was big enough for two and was outstanding. Our entrees were incredible. My wife loved the seafood garlic and I loved the pasta bolognese. And when you come here, ask for Kevin. He was personable, provided excellent service, and made great recommendations.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. Amazing food and great service. Went there for my wife's birthday and we were not disappointed. Our waiter Kevin was very friendly and attentive. 2 of us were vegetarians and he made it a point to get us vegetarian which was not on the menu. And it was delicious. Appetizer:Filet Mignon Crostini - tender and flavorful. Main course: Chicken Parmesan Pan roasted Salmon - the salmon tasted fresh with the right amount of spices and 2 other vegetarian dishes not on the menu. Definitely coming back again once we are in the area.

The Yelp reviews led us here. Kind of off the beaten track and well worth the extra few steps. Greeted and served by a very pleasant Dante. Had 2 exceptional salads and a filet appetizer because it was late and we didn't want to eat too much. I would come back to this delightful town to eat at this restaurant again. Would love to taste some of the entres. I would bet they would also be terrific. What a great find!!

This time I had the pinwheel and it was AMAZING!! The mozzarella wasn't totally set but the Chef made it for me anyway. The very handsome chef might I add. I also ordered the antipasto plate which didn't fail me. It was delicious. The seafood garlic was excellent. The service is exceptional. The servers know the menu and genuinely care about your experience. This is my new spot for sure and within walking distance to my house =) 5 stars well deserved.

This place is exceptional! Came in here last night with a large group of 18 and the staff so kindly rearranged the tables so that we could all sit together. From the second you walk into the door and get hit with a classy ambiance with modern decor, it becomes clear that you will have an excellent dining experience. Our waiter Kevin went above and beyond for us. Aside from answering any and all questions about the menu and the daily specials he even took out his phone to show us photos of the food - who does that? He truly was phenomenal! He even recommended us tourist attractions because we all came from out of town. The portions are generous and the prices are inexpensive for the high quality meal you get there. Everything on the menu looked great and everything j sampled was excellent. Overall, if you are in the area you MUST try this place! Their excellent service and food quality go hand in hand, I will definitely come again if I am in the area.

I thought this was an excellent restaurant. The food was very good, although I found my steamed veggies to be too spicy, and there was obviously a lot of garlic. I was here with a larger group, and it took a very long time for us to be served, get dessert, and check out. We were literally the only table in the restaurant, so that was disappointing. i would recommend the crab soup, the beet salad, and the filet.

Garlic is the most desirable restaurant in the Pocono mountains, hands down. I ordered their Spicy Crab Marinara, in which they use genuine crab, not imitation, like many other restaurants do. The flavors were delectable, with a perfect balance of spicy and garlic. I ordered their Pear martini, which was most excellent and our waiter, Dante, is very adept at providing attentive service without being imposing. My husband and friends and I will return again when we travel to the area.

My wife and I had a delightful evening at Garlic. The atmosphere was relaxed and service was excellent. (Our server Kevin was one of the best we've ever experienced in the Poconos). The Insalata salad and crab bisque was delicious. The bisque wasn't too heavy and rich but just right. And the fig and goat cheese app was amazing as well as the pinwheel mozzarella and prosciutto app. We are definitely looking forward to going back soon.

My friends and I went here for dinner last Friday for our friends birthday. The waiter was nice and told us about different appetizer specials. One of them that got my attention was the seafood Versace had seafood in a martini glass guacamole and had jalapeños in it. So I decided to order that as an app. When I received it didn't have jalapeños in it or guacamole but I really cared about the jalapeños because they're my favorite. When I told the waiter he brought me a side order of them. My boyfriend and I both had the garlic shrimp scampi. I had mine over whole wheat pasta and he had his over angel hair. The amount you get for 18.00 really isn't a lot. They gave us 5 shrimp each and more sauce than pasta. The shells were still on the shrimp too. I don't get why restaurants do that it's a huge pet peeve of mine making me work for the food we're paying for. My boyfriends a good cook so when he tasted it he told me that they didn't cook the wine long enough in the sauce and it was pretty tasteless. I thought the same thing but I was so hungry I ate it anyway. When we got our check that little app I got $24!! When I asked the waiter about it to make sure he told us he would comp it $10 because it was missing stuff. I think $14 is still a lot for a little bit of seafood in a martini glass. I felt bad all the money we shelled out to this place and my boyfriend was still hungry. A real Italian restaurant would make sure everyone goes home stuffed with leftovers. Needless to say highly disappointed. I don't think this place is for locals as much as for out of state people. I won't be going back!

We had a memorable meal at Garlic tonight. Very attentive service by Kevin and A+ food. I really liked my lasagna that had ricotta mixed with goat cheese. The seafood pasta was also happily eaten at my table and the scallop that fell on my plate was yummy. Recommend sharing a bowl of garlic crab bisque and later if you want a spectacular chocolate dessert, try their huge chocolate masterpiece. I may have had too many calories tonight, but it was worth it. The decor was also very nice and the parking on the street after 6pm was free (I'm so used to always paying to park in Miami). You can't see the main seating area from the street, so don't assume it is empty if u don't see anyone. And we never felt rushed even though there were few other guests at the time. Which wasn't too noticeable from our table. Anyway...if u want to eat well and have some tasty martô is or wine, this is the place! Prices reasonable for quality.

I saw that Garlic was open, and my wife and I decided to give it a try. Our waiter Kyle was on top of things, and really made the visit worth while. The atmosphere was modern, and elegant, while the prices were modest. The food was outstanding, and the overall visit was definitely worth the money. We will be going back!

Avid foodies here...we eat out ALOT and frequent a few local spots that we keep in our top 10...this place is definitely in the top 5 of our list...our waiter Dante was just the greatest! he was on top of things thru the entire experience (i also saw the other waiters doing just as fine a job) so, we started with drinks and appetizer, both off the charts...i had the Nuts & Berries martini which tastes like peanut butter and jelly and we both had the calamari fra diavlo...with a unique spicy sauce on the calamari, it just popped...it is not your typical spicy red sauce and i loved it for that! excellent stuff...again we both had the same entree, filet & scallops with potato croquettes and spicy broccoli...this was just melt in your mouth filet, cooked to perfection at medium rare (our taste) and the scallops were tender and mouth watering, loved the potato croquettes (balls of mashed potatoes lightly breaded and baked for a crunchy outer coating and spicy broccoli all of which was mothered in tons of garlic! they live up to their name, Garlic, so if you don't like it, don't go there...dessert was coconut creme brulee which came with a home made coconut macaroon...omg i was in coconut heaven! also a side note, they don't skimp on portions...i came home with half my filet, broccoli and potatoes, but i ate all the dessert! this place is a must for a casual atmosphere with great food and drinks...we will definitely be frequenting Garlic!
