Spent my bachelor weekend out in the country with the groomsmen and we dined here the night we arrived. Owners are friendly and welcoming- they put our party on the second floor which, in addition to a large dining table, is furnished with comfortable chairs, couches, and a TV over the fireplace. Perfect space for the group. In addition to the wine, they offer a good selection of bourbon and excellent food. I enjoyed the fish tacos and others raved about the burgers. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

Recently found this little hidden gem when visiting the area with my mother. As a New Yorker and a foodie I am always seeking out the best a place as to offer. We drove 40 minutes through rain and back through a flood warning and it was worth every second! Up until this point I had not been so impressed with the food in the area until we came here. We had the special of grilled cajun shrimp and asparagus and the Mahi Mahi tacos, both were delicious and up to NYC standards. The wine was just as tasty! The owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating, we would definitely come back, like I said it is a hidden gem!

Really nice atmosphere and staff...owner is charming and attentive...food is delicious...we had a Riesling and burger and shrimp pasta that was the special...they had a halloween theme going on....so cute but still classy...older crowd on a Thursday night. We had a great time here...we will definitely be back...close to 7 springs resort.

I visit this area several times a year and have had the pleasure of dining at the Main St. Wine Bar twice now. The first time I visited this summer, we arrived shortly before closing, but the owners graciously welcomed us and we never felt rushed. Our group of 5 ordered several pizzas to share and they were delicious. The owner helped us select glasses of wine from their growing menu - I ended up with a really great Sauvignon Blanc and would've liked to try one of their wine flights as well (next time!) I visited again over the holidays after a long day of skiing. Was again welcomed by the owners themselves who seated us at their warmest table! I was impressed to see the wine selection had expanded even further and I warmed up with a South African Pinotage that I was thrilled to see on their menu. We ordered the feta and spinach pizza again to start,, which did not disappoint. I ordered the shrimp and grits for my main course which was excellent and totally satisfying after a day on the mountain. If you're in the area, the Main Street Wine Bar is worth the drive from 7 Springs, Ohiopyle and Somerset. It's not far from the Donegal exit on the turnpike. The space is beautiful and the atmosphere so charming compared to most other restaurants I've been to in the area. Looking forward to my next visit!

Went to Main Street Wine Bar in early April and first off, the wine selection is fantastic. We got a great recommendation on a bottle and the bar tender was extremely knowledgeable so we also were able to learn about the wines we were tasting . My husband was also very impressed with the beer list and the bourbon offerings. All of the food that we ordered was delicious - especially the steak tacos. We also very much enjoyed the cheese plate. The overall atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I will definitely come back again.

Visited the Main Street Wine Bar when we were in the area for a wedding. We love red wine, and were very pleased with their wine selection. There is something on that list for every palate and at every price point. The server suggested something from the impressive list that paired really well with our meal. Her recommendation was spot-on. My husband and I had 2 different small plates to share- the chicken satay, and the beef brisket tacos. Both were fabulous, but the brisket was to die for! The chicken was paired with cole slaw that was good, brisket paired with chipotle beans that were too (spicy) hot to even enjoy. Not to worry, though, we filled up on the tacos. It looks like the menu changes often. The owner, Virginia, came to the table and visited with us for awhile which made us both feel welcome there. They had a special of Chilean wines that evening, which sounded fun, but we preferred to split a bottle of Joel Gott Cabernet. Overall, a great little gem, very cozy, with a great wine list and great food. The only reasons 4 stars instead of 5, our server never refilled our water glasses, though we saw others get refilled repeatedly. (we could have used a refill given the spiciness of one taste of the beans). Her service merited 4/5 stars. We would definitely recommend you stop here if you are in the area, and if we are back, we will def. visit again.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary. We shared several plates, starting with the harvest salad with a pumpkin vinaigrette. Next we had the mushroom onion cheese dip. For the main course, we shared the crab cakes. Finally, for desert we took home the pumpkin cheesecake. Overall, we were very pleased. All of the dishes were very good. I especially liked the mushroom dip and the cheesecake. My wife liked the salad. The wine selection was good. We both had a flight of 3 red wines which were basic but tasty. We wish they would have offered a white wine flight, but they did not. Overall, a very pleasing evening. The atmosphere is inviting. Food was excellent.

We had only heard about the Main Street wine bar 3 days before we went for the first time. We went with no expectations other than the word wine in the name must mean the specialize in wine. SOLD!!! We chose Valentines day to go... Immediately we ordered a bottle of favorite wine( Bella Glos Pinot Noir) it has a small dining area but it was fitting for this place. Both of us got the fillet and a cheese board for the appetizer. Both were excellent! FOOD =4.5 Amazing.. Only thing lacking is presentation. My filet was served on a medium size dish. ATMOSPHERE = 4.5 Liked the small house feel. Only thing keeping it from being a 5? Napkins!! White paper napkins really seemed to cheapen things a little. Cloth would be a game changer... WINE SELECTION = 5 5 Enough said! SERVICE =4.5 A little more uniformed dress would really spruce things up to a 5! They were almost too fast with our food. PRICE= 4.0 I doubt many would bark at the price but given the above comments the price becomes less justified. NO DOUBT I will be back. All in all a fantastic experience. This a great place to break up the monotony of eating at seven springs, hidden valley, and out of the fire when searching for a good place to wine and dine....

I could not have been more pleased with my experience at Main Street Wine Bar. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming in addition to being extremely knowledgable about their offerings. The wine list and guidance also enhanced the experience and I am more in the know about wine than I was before I walked through their front door. In my experience some wine bars that have the this level knowledge can be a little stuffy. MSWB was anything but. The food itself is on point. It is unique without being too pretentious. The flank steak with Chimichurri was the perfect meal and cooked to a beautiful medium rare. As a wine novice I was eased into my comfort zone with their also impressive craft brew and bourbon list. The beers are local and the bourbon is served properly with selections that cover the full spectrum of bourbon flavors, from spicy to sweet. There will not be a time that I am in this area where I will not stop here for a relaxing meal and some drinks.

Had a great night at the Main street Wine Bar last night with friends. Table of 6 and we were greeted by the owner at the door. Not far from the Turnpike exit at Donegal where we were staying for the weekend. All we could say was WOW. Great wine selection by the glass and the bottle along with some craft beers and specialty in bourbon. The food was excellent and the menu is primarily small plates and appetizers. You won't have eaten any of these recipes before. Or table ordered one of almost everything on the menu to share and every plate was fantastic. I get a chance to eat out all over the country and this is some of the tastiest food I have ever eaten. We talked with the owner and many of the ingredients are local and very fresh and you could tell. The wine list was expansive and we got a lot of help with our selections based on what we normally like and what we were eating. Also look like they always have a wine "flight" going, although we didn't do it that night. I do not spend much time writing reviews but I wanted to in this case. If you are anywhere near Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, Latrobe or Ligonier (or just looking for a stop along the PA turnpike) you have to try this place. You will not be disappointed. We will be back.

Visited from out of town and wow that is a great place! The food was very good, the wine list expansive and what a selection of bourbon! What made my visit special was the hospitality and personal attention by the owners, as well as the charm of the restaurant. The owners learned our names and treated us with personal attention. The hospitality reminded me of what you get in the South. The restaurant was spectacular and thank God there wasn't a noisy band to interrupt that personal attention you get from the owners. I will definitely be visiting again when we are back in the area.
