Great pizza, good place for an inexpensive family lunch before checking in to Great Wolf Lodge. (5 people = $20)

We stopped at Big Papas after arriving in Scotrun to take the kids to Great Wolf to play Magic Quest, but we wanted to feed before entering the resort. We spotted Papa's nearby and popped in for a pizza. Nothing satiates hungry little wizards like greasy pizza. Now I know what's on the banquet tables at Hogwarts! Inside, there are about 10 tables. Decor is typical pizzaria...a few nods to Italy, but otherwise non-descript. We sent our wizards to use the bathroom prior to food, but they came back with reoprts of the sink (and later, we found, toilet) not working. Kind of have to wonder how that sign "employees must wash hands after using toilet" gets executed. Eew. Otherwise, the inside was clean. Two or three tables are also located outside, if you enjoy watching the exodus of cars from NY/NJ bespeckled with Yankee bumper stickers on a Saturday afternoon. Our large half-pepperoni was about $14. I have to to tell you, where a pizza place counts is in the pizza. This one delivered. We were warned to let it cool- which all except our oldest, and sometimes self-proclaimed wisest wizard, did....and he was rewarded with a lump of cheese that fell off the nose of the slice. Good things come to those who wait- and listen, dear wizardlet. The crust of the pizza was the strong point. Not overtly thick, but strong enough to support the rest of the slice, as if the crust was cantilevered underneath. Good texture to the crust, also. Good, good, good. Kudos. Big Papa came out and chatted for a few minutes about the Wolf Lodge. Pretty personable guy. I always give bonus points to owners who take time to chat it up with their clients. While "location, location, location" rules real estate and pizza joints, turning left across the "Escape from NY" reinactment on 611 was kind of hairy. Getting tattooed by a Yankees license plate would have ruined my week. I can't say I'll be back anytime within the next calendar year, but I'll definately keep this place on the mental food map. If only my little wizards could cast spells to help me remember all things as well as I remember my food map!

Very good tasting pizza. Unless you ask, it comes with thin crust, nice and crispy. Great sauce, lots of flavor. Wings are great, crispy and just the right amount of heat if you get them hot. Only down side was having drinks in cans fountain drinks would be nicer, but hey we lived. The place is small and a little dated, but it adds to the ambiance of an old pizzeria. The owner/staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable. We recommend this place and make sure to get the zeppollis, they are very yummy too.

Very basic pizza place. Great hot fresh made pies. Nice crust cheese and sauce. Guy making pies extremely pleasant. Better off going here for eat in or take out than Great Wolf as its fresher and better tasting.

I have NO IDEA what these people are talking about. Either that or they have never had a truly good pizza. The only BRICK about the brick oven in this place is the fake facade on the outside of it. It's basic pizza, and that's it. It will get the job done but don't expect good pizza, unless that's what's considered good for the area.

Good brick oven pizza and very friendly staff. Great choice if you're staying at the nearby resort lodge.

The food here is absolutely delicious. We have been here a couple of times over the last couple of weeks but most recently, we made a drive from New York to here only for the food. A one day trip that encompasses over a 2 hour drive only for the food here. Yeah. That's how good it is. The service is fantastic as well. Chicken bacon ranch pizza!

Pretty solid pizza. Good dough, good cheese, and good sauce. Not too thick, not too thin. The crust isn't great, but I don't expect great crust every time. Taste is good, not incredible. Either way, if I was back in the Tannersville area, I'd stop by Big Papas again. It met my New York standards, to an extent. Was pretty good with sriacha. My only real complaint is that the large pizza's aren't that big - it's more medium-ish in size.

Are you kidding me!?! $3 for a half a topping off ground beef!! And you give me a sprinkle on 3 and a half slices. Then you have the nerve to say ground beef is expensive!! Kiss my big toe. So I paid $28 for a large pie with a so called half topping and a 8 wings that are no where near "jumbo wings" which was stated to me. So I'm hoping this is going to be the best pizza and wings I ever had in the area..... NOPE!! average pie and everyday wings. Should have stuck with going to happy hour for better price and tasting wings. Sorry papa pizza you are on the naughty list.

Great pizza, I noticed the one nasty review and it is ashame that people don't follow the old adage "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. My family was thoroughly pleased with the pizza. We will definitely stop in again if in the area. I liked talking to the owner, she has a son with the same name and I gave her a million dollar tract. On top of that she answered the question correctly. What do you think happens to you when you die?

Buffalo chicken pizza was great!! Very tasty. Don't bother with the salads. Just iceberg lettuce and tomatoes.

I was about to walk in until I saw a fat ass smoking in the kitchen. Coming from NY you never see that. It turned me off completely!!!!

While on vacation at Camelback we drove pass Big Papa's. We decided to stop in and check it out for ourselves. I had a grilled chicken Cesar salad. The chicken was juicy and well cooked. the salad was fresh and just the right amount of dressing. The place looks a little run down and customer service was good. Not sure if I would come back the appearance of the pizza shop is not appealing.

I was craving pizza today when I woke up, so we decided to give this place a try based on the other reviews. They don't have a large selection of premades to order by the slice (only 2 at the time), so we decided to order a chicken/bacon/ranch pie & "dine in." Not a very big place, just a few small tables. The pizza was very greasy (to be expected with bacon & cheese), but it was delicious! The crust was thinner than what I am used to, but it was just the right amount of crispy! Very happy we stopped in! Took a menu home, even though we live in East Stroudsburg, we will definitely be ordering here again!

First pizza shop that I've been to that will make a buffalo chicken slice on the spot for you. Great service and friendly people that work in here. The only thing I can complain about was the pizza fries tasted really good but the fries needed to be fried a little bit longer but overall everything tasted great.
