I'd say I had an OK experience. On the plus side, there's a lot of history to the place, the local artwork is great (the artist herself, Lori, was our waitress, and an old friend of my friend who brought us here.). Nice little wine list, and my entree special, blackened salmon with chipotle aioli, was super spicy which I loved--can't always count on that I'm these parts--and my special request for no starch, more veggies, was accommodated easily. The rest of the meal, soups, salads, were OK--not bad, not memorable. Unfortunately though there was an awful table with two drunken women next to us, literally pounding on their table and screaming so loud that no one in the side room could hear themselves. It stopped our conversation completely and we left without dessert just to get away from them--a situation management should have handled in some way.

The food tasted very good but the soup and a couple of appitizers came out pretty cold. The big problem was we rarely saw our waitress and it took forever to get our food. When we would order drinks we wouldn't get them for awhile. We sat in the side room to the left of the entrance and it was extremly loud in there almost to the point where you couldn't hear yourself think. They do have a fantasitic Happy hour that starts at 9, great prices. But it would of been nice to havea juke box or even someone playing acostic.

Great to have this place open again. The owners seem genuinely interested in making this place a success and are usually on site. Impressive since they also own and run at least two other large businesses in the area. I think they have a little to learn about the restaurant and bar business and hopefully they will listen to industry experts and of course Yelp reviewers. Nice bar area but a little sterile. Needs music but apparantly not an option due to hotel rooms upstairs. Knowing that they were not occupied we asked the bartender to turn up the music but told they could not. When first opened, they had mostly large brewery beers with one exception, Prism Bit of Honey. Last time I was in they did have a craft IPA, Rogue Yellow snow. Wednesday Burger night is a great deal, they even give Happy Hour bar prices at the tables with dinner. 3 stars for now with hopes of a 4th star in the future.

We have had the pleasure of eating dinner at the Woodside Lodge on several occasions. The food has always been delicious - fresh, well seasoned, and perfectly prepared. It has become our favorite restaurant, and we plan to visit them again this weekend. Servers are knowledgeable of the menu and extremely friendly!

We just got back from our trip to the Woodside Lodge. From start to finish, we had an amazing time there and it was the perfect place to come after a day of skiing at Spring Mountain. Making our reservation for the night was simple and quick over the phone. We paid in advance, so when we arrived the owner had us initial a form and then showed us quickly up to our room. He was friendly and kind, and even showed us how to work the fireplace in our sitting room. The room itself was wonderful. It was a little on the small side, but with a separate sitting room to hold our belongings and give us space to unwind and relax, I felt like we had all the room we needed. We spent a little time getting settled and then got ready to go downstairs for dinner. On a Saturday, it was all hustle and bustle, but they still were able to seat us right away. There were multiple big parties seated, at least two birthdays, a table of 8 right by us, but I felt like our meal was neither rushed nor slow. We ordered a couple of beers to start - they had a decent tap list and even more bottles. We also put in an order for 2 crocks of French onion soup, which was decadent! It was one of our favorite parts of the meal. Next came salad and warm bread with honey butter. And then our entrees - lobster ravioli with scallops and shrimp in a tarragon cream sauce and a bourbon cranberry glazed brisket. Both were very tasty, with adequate portions, and the brisket came with a starch which we opted to make the potato cake stuffed with Vermont cheddar cheese. It's fried mashed potatoes! What could be better? We finished off the meal with some dessert, and headed upstairs to while the night away in front of our private fireplace. In the morning, we arrived for breakfast at close to 9:45 (they stop serving at 10) and felt happy that we had a nice, leisurely meal in front of another fire! The other owner was there this morning as hostess, waitress and busser. She was so great to talk to, and attended to our every need while we were eating. The coffee was strong and dark and the fruit platter that came out before our meal was lovely! We left the lodge with a great big smile, knowing that even though it's not far from home, we will definitely be back to stay again. And next time we ski, even if it's a day trip, we'd love to come back for a nice meal.

Don't waste your time. But if the service wasn't so terrible, this place would be a must-try in the Upper Montgomery County community. We had a reservation, but showed up a bit early. We waited at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes before deciding to track down the hostess. We found her by the bar talking with customers and staff. She promptly seated us at our outdoor table, but did not bring us any menus, claiming "I'll go hunt some down and be right back." Well, 15 minutes later we were still sitting at our table menu-less and without a visit from our waitress. After asking the bartender for menus, because the hostess was once again nowhere to be found, we finally placed an order for drinks. About 15 minutes after placing our drink orders, now 30 minutes after being seated, our waitress appeared, rattled off the specials, took our orders and went on her way. Our appetizer, bruschetta, arrived promptly and was delicious. The baguette was fresh, the mozzarella still cold, and the tomatoes plump and flavorful. Definitely a thumbs up on the bruschetta. Shortly thereafter, our salads arrived and were typical of a mid-level restaurant. Now, one side note: we requested bread shortly before our salads arrived. Upon salad delivery, we again requested a bread basket. Both times we were assured that the bread was "on the way." Not only was the bread not delivered after the second request, we had to make a third request until finally being given bread. We finally got our food after 90 minutes. While the wait was long, it was worth it. The food was spectacular. I had the lobster ravioli (pictured) with shrimp and scallops. Everything was fresh, hot, and cooked as described. The sauce was a creamy tarragon sauce and complemented the seafood medley perfectly. Both of my co-diners sang praises of their swordfish and brisket, which both tasted great, hot, and unique. It's a shame that the Woodside does not seem to make service a priority because the food is very high quality and could compete with even some of Philadelphia's top restaurants. If I were you, and you don't mind spending 2-2.5 hours at a restaurant, I would try the Woodside simply because the food is phenomenal, but you must be patient and be willing to badger your waitress with requests to get anything you want. If you don't have that kind of time: skip it.

The Woodside Lodge is totally re-furbished and looks amazing. The food is plentiful and delicious, with something for everyone, including a children's menu. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Next time we hope to sit on the wraparound porch.

I really wanted to love is restaurant. With all of the pizza places in the area slinging similar low quality dishes, a recently renovated B&B in Spring Mount with a reasonably good chef could do extremely well. I cooked in the business until changing my career path 25 years ago and have to say that the owner of this place must believe that the renovation alone will make the business. I've eaten here on 3 occasions with the hope to get a sense of culinary competence on one of the occasions. The first was for my fathers 60th birthday celebration, a party of 10. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the service took 40 minutes to get our appetizers. Our entrees showed up almost 90 minutes after our order. Unfortunately the food did not make up for the wait and the only person who enjoyed their meal was my father who lost his sense of smell and taste several years ago. Poorly prepared, sloppy presentations and small portions for that meal. The second time we had a group of 6 with 2 kids. All remembered the first visit and we decided to keep it simple. 5 Burgers, onion soup and a turkey sandwich. No appetizers, nothing special. 30. Minutes later the waitress returns and cannot remember where the turkey sandwich went and every burger was extra well done. The third time was a last ditch hope they had improved outing with my kids. Slow, I don't care about you service is what I endured. Kids asked me why we were trying this place again at the meal and didn't finish their meals stating they really weren't that hungry. Bottom line, any of the local take out pizza shops is capable of doing better than this place on an average day. Head to the grocery and use that din near money to treat yourself to a nice piece of Angus and a good wine instead of spending it here

I like it here. I always get the Lobster Ravioli. The only thing I don't like is the tables. They are so low and my knees always hit it. I know it sounds silly, but it's annoying.

We went here for brunch for Father's Day. The brunch menu sounded amazing. It was really terrible. The food was old and not hot, at all. We asked for the food to be refreshed, and for the burners to be turned on, and all we received in response (from the person who appeared to be the manager) was "okay". No apology for the cold food, or the 20 minute wait. The food was just terrible. Unfortunately, after we asked for hot food, our server stopped coming to our table. She would replenish the coffee and water for all of the guests surrounding us, but not us! We had to chase her down on several occasions for hot coffee. You could order omelets, which we did. They were... just okay. They were hot, though! Since the English Muffins served with the eggs benedict on the buffet were (literally) uncut-able, they were gracious enough to allow one of our diners to order fresh eggs benedict (even though only omelets were initially offered). The dessert menu was straight out of Costco's frozen aisle. We really wanted to like this restaurant. The location is beautiful, and they obviously took great pains to make the Inn look beautiful - it does. The food and the service were both awful -- especially for the price tag.

We went there last evening and while the place looks terrific the food was less than desired. The appetizer we selected, the fried pickles were the best part of the meal. Awesome taste and flavor. The Caesar Salad was a little heavy handed on the garlic and my entree, The Veal Scallopine, was well over done and the spinach mix that topped it was overpowering. My wife and the crab cakes and they were more filler than crab. We will try to come back for the half price burger night and give it a go.
