Not a bad place to go to if you are looking for a quick breakfast at a decent price. The place itself isn't much to look at and tables are a little tight, but service is very friendly and food comes out quick. We've only ever been here for breakfast so can't comment on other meals. If you order coffee, they leave the pot with you, which is nice as I can refill my cup whenever I want. If you have kids with you, they have coloring books to keep your kids occupied, but sometimes you will find a lot of the pages already half colored. In addition to table seating, there is also numerous counter-top seats where you can watch them cook up the meals. When you are ready to pay, simply take your check up to the front.

Absolutely the worst. The music is obnoxiously loud the waitresses are like a bunch of drunken bitchy high school girl with PMS. Order your food and hope it may come before sunset ! Bathrooms located outside are filthy with gross notes like if you if you sprinkle while you tinkle be a sweetie and wipe the seatie! Really my response be a professional and hire a custodian! My advice as Nancy Reagan used to say Just say No!!!

The more we visited the better it got. Be careful not to visit on a morning they have a take out order to make. The whole diner is not served any food until the order is complete.

Ate breakfast here on 1/24/15. One of the finest breakfasts that I have eaten. Good fresh food and plenty of it, along with prompt service and friendly people. I will return.

This place is where the locals gather for some good food and conversation. We have been going there for breakfast since they opened. Breakfast is always consistent no matter what I've ordered. It's nice to still have a local hang-out in our area.

this little place is right around the corner, so it has become our go-to for the occasional breakfast out on a sat/sun morning. there are a lot of regulars here and the waitresses call you hon and it is homey and warm and welcoming service is always efficient and the food is dependably good - not great - but they are also not overcharging you for what you get slowly but surely, they are giving the inside an upgrade, which it definitely needs they serve b'fast and lunch and have started serving dinner thurs-sat n.b. - they use carved meats, not cold cuts in their club sandwiches 3.5 stars

Late Saturday lunch on a snowy day -- fairly empty. Corned beef hash hard and overcooked, some hash browns burnt. Waitress apologized and brought another round of corned beef hash -- much better, but too salty and oily for my taste. In contrast, the waitress-recommended hot roast beef sandwich was very good. In the middle were the mediocre tuna melt and the modestly satisfying raisin french toast. In sum, service was excellent, seating was clean and spartan, and the food varied from 2 to 4 stars.

Great spot to grab breakfast. Huge lot so parking is never an issue, conveniently located right on Ridge Pike. You can expect a small wait if you show up after 9am on a weekend, but the service is quick, so the wait will not be too long. Plenty of counter seats if that is your thing. Pancakes are as big as the plate itself. Not the best I have had, but decent enough. Not what I ordered and my daughter enjoyed them. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits, which were great. A hint of rosemary in the sausage gave it a unique twist. Biscuits were sliced open already and not too heavy. Lots of sausage in there. My wife had a standard 2 eggs over medium w/ scrapple and toast. Huge slab of scrapple and crispy on the outside. Very reasonable prices. 3 meals, a small chocolate milk and two coffees for $28 including tip. They leave a carafe filled with coffee for you and leave plenty of creamers if that's your thing. Super friendly waitress. Everyone working there are very enjoyable to converse with. Recommend over the Limerick Diner any day of the week.

Breakfast has always been good and the service excellent. Nice friendly, hometown feel. Tonight I was craving a burger and thought I'd get a better one than sonic down the street. I wish I'd gone to sonic. It was a frozen bubba burger and even though they don't close till 8pm the fryer had been turned off and it was only 720, so the fries were greasy and white. Stick to breakfast.

The old lady hostess with the bob haircut was rude and didn't know how to sit people. Place seems too popular for its own good. Either add seating somehow or hire folks that can handle the breakfast rush. Limerick diner is roomier and has a more extensive menu (regardless of what the haters say).

Friendly staff. Jamie and Jackie are absolutely awesome! Great prices food with large filling portions. Always clean, friendly, comfortable. Customer base is the same year to year. Ask any regular and you'll get the real scoop with a great cup of coffee to boot.

The food is solid. The breakfast menu is typical, although not extensive. One thing for sure; the food is cooked to order and cooked how you request. Crispy bacon? Just ask.. I like my home fries well-done. I ask....and receive! The waitresses are seasoned veterans and do a great job. I see people park their cars and walk in and the waitress greets them by name and already has their coffee waiting for them! Who wouldn't go to a place like that? When I'm feeling like I want a place to sit and be comfortable while I eat breakfast, I go to the Sunshine Cafe. The place is small and depending on the time and day of the week, it can be crowded. However I have yet to go there and not experienced a friendly reception from the staff and other diners.

The Sunshine is my go-to for an all-around good breakfast. I live 15 minutes away and pass a dozen diners on the way there. The decor is a bit shabby, but IT'S A DINER! The waitresses are excellent and although there's usually a line, it moves fast. In other words, these people know what they're doing. The menu isn't exactly extensive, but it covers all your favorites and everything I've tried on it (and betwen the wife and I, we've tried a lot) is made well and exactly the way you want it. And the coffee is pretty good too.

In the morning hours the parking area is full of cars, which speaks for itself. Sunshine Cafe is a moderately-priced alternative to chains like Bob Evans and Friendly's for American breakfast. They also have good lunch and dinner selections. Their burgers are nothing to write home about, but their steak sandwiches are good--especially their chicken steaks, I never have figured out why they're only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for dinner (after all, Limerick isn't rural anymore), but they do offer a special every day. The waitstaff will entertain the daily or frequent patrons, but as long as they don't get obnoxious I'm OK with that.

Love sunshine cafe. Joann is the best waitress ever. Always remembers what you like to order no matter how long it's been. Food is good and prices are really good.

Not the best and far from the worst this is just your average little diner/cafe in Limerick. The food is nothing to write home about but it's inexpensive and freshly prepared. I do enjoy going for breakfast from time to time. On the weekends there is typically a line but it moves pretty quickly (15-20 min. wait at the most). I remember they used to make pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse if you ordered a single. Nice touch. The staff is friendly and prompt. They have better breakfasts than lunch IMO. If you're looking for a cheap and good meal check em' out.

Nothing spectacular, but a decent inexpensive place to get a quick bite. Good omelets but the homefries and toasts could be better.

Always a good breakfast. Look for coupon in the hometown magazine for $ off. Coffee is good as well as the other items on the menu. Staff is friendly.
