I pass this place almost everyday but never stopped by. Well, I still haven't stepped inside still. My friend ordered a take out cheesesteak for me once. Wow, the taste of the cheesesteak was amazing. Better than the local cheesesteaks I have tasted in the Quakertown Area. The sauce was a nice blend of tang with a hot kick. Meat was fresh and the roll was soft and fresh. Wow, definitely have to come back and try their pasta sometime. I'll be back.

Food is good but staff can be rather rude. Visited a few times now and realize it's not just a single person but most of the staff. Would only return for take out if at all.

The menu is so varied that it's fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the waii staff is great. I recommend this to all my fr and family. You can go for a pizza, steak sandwich or a real Italian meal and not break the bank. In my opinion you should go soon.

Very disappointed with the take out Chicken Weber and my wife's wrong order last night. She ordered grilled chicken with lettuce and tomatoes and did not realize until I got it home it had neither but it did have spinach and very little chicken. My chicken weber was very light on the chicken compared to many other visits to this restaurant.Hopefully they were just having a bad night but the place was empty and the prices a little steep for what we received

Food is great from this family establishment. I'd recommend it for takeout. Genuine Italian food.

You cant go wrong. The food is awesome , the staff is friendly and on top of things and they have outside seating so your pups can join you for dinner. Don't forget to save room for a cannoli , so yummy. Oh yeah, did I mention it's byob. So Bring your favorite drink.

Solid red-sauce Italian, nothing that bowls me over, but better than the offerings in Quakertown. The pizza crust was flavorful but could have been cooked longer. Chicken parm was good. If you BYO, know that the wine glasses are tiny.

The reason for the second star is because the freshly made pizza is usually very good. But they have some funny ideas how long 'leftover' pizza can be used for slices. I cannot tell you how many times I order two slices and by the time I get to the second one, it has turned into stale junk. The servers are pleasant enough; they never last long, and they seem to be recruited from Kensington and other unsavory parts of Philly. The old man, Vinny, makes like he's your favorite uncle but don't complain! Watch how the atmosphere changes!

Food is great, IMO the best pizza in the area, but we have eaten many things there, they have this one dish that is basically like bread with cheese and they put tomato sauce on it, which makes it amazing. My wife and I ordered Wraps today using the coupon on their website and they were amazing. They are always super friendly and make their own desserts. You can even outside! Although the outside is spacious and nice, but its right next to a fairly main road.

I've never had a bad meal here. I really like their chicken marsala. They have really good cheesesteaks too.

I've dined at this establishment a number of times. I would call it more of a bistro than a full scale restaurant, but, don't take that as a knock. The menu is diverse and every bit restaurant caliber. This is tough for me, because I have a hard time just getting past the entrance where you get to see (and smell) the pizza's as you walk in the door. Everything I have ever ordered has always been very good and appears to have been made fresh. From what I remember, you will receive a glass of wine with dinner if you so desire. I hope they still do this. It's a nice touch. Even with out the wine, this place offers very good food at a reasonable price. I'll be back.

Wow, maybe I shoulda ordered the pizza... I've read rave reviews about the pizza on another site. But I got the cheese steak. It was heavy (weight-wise) which is one of my criteria for a good review. But the meat quality was not good. Didn't taste good or sit well. It seemed to be the scraps from the good cuts. I'm in this area a few times a year so maybe I'll get the pizza next time.

Alcamo is decent for a pizza place. Not anything to rave about though. I am a little dissapointed in the baked veggie hoagie I ordered. The menu says eleven different veggies. I had five in mine and the amount of those was very light for the price. It contained onions, green peppers, eggplant, tomatoes and mushrooms. It was a pretty weak sandwich for $7.50. Come on Alcamo, make your food as advertised!

Update1/13/15: My son and I were in the area around lunchtime and we thought... why not? They can't screw up a meatball sandwich. The tables were sticky. The place was deserted. The waitress kept staring. The chicken parm hero I ordered had a BONE IN IT! Besides that, the chicken had been frozen... the texture was grainy. The meatballs were hard and tasteless. The waitress tried to make it right, saying she'd talk to the owner (a pretty old guy who was holding court in a front booth... but had just gone to the bathroom.) I waited... and waited... after 8 minutes, we got up and left. Paid full price for a lousy lunch with a bone in it. I hate when places can't authorize waitresses to comp when there is something obviously wrong with the food--like a BONE! Never again. Never. My standard when I go out to eat is they had better make food as good as my wife and I do at home. By this standard Alcamo fails. The food is tasty enough, but there is always something lacking... or too much of something else (like too much butter or oil or grease). I like the dining room... the tables are unique and a favorite of my son. They have odd things like various pastas, beans, etc... arranged in patterns under thick coats of polyurethane. The painted Italian scenes on the wall are over the top but OK. The bathrooms have fantastic tile work. However, the atmosphere is ruined by the ever present flies. Summer or winter... flies. This is a bad sign in a restaurant. It might explain the reason why we always seem to have bowel issues after eating there. The Alfredo is oily and separated. The pizza tends to be to cheesy and bland. The Chicken Marsala is no way close to a real Marsala sauce. The garlic knots will make you cough with heavy handed red pepper flakes... oily too. The Vodka sauce is yucky and bland. Any chicken dishes are basically chicken fingers with stuff thrown on top. They don't saute in sauces... and the chicken parm is not baked but simply cheese melted on top of pre-cooked chicken fingers. The chicken is often tasteless... stringy too. A sign that they often serve frozen stuff leftover from day(s) before. The service is tired and old. They are forgetful... often forgetting what you ordered or that extra soda you asked for halfway through the meal. These owners opened another place in Hellertown that I just ate at which I will also review. There's definitely a pattern here...

I had been here once before- in the summer and was impressed. Today it was not a good experience. The wait staff was very attentive. There was a large party of 20 that were extremely loud and took up half the restaurant. I could hardly listen to my family speak to me at the table. The table was sticky/dirty- and needed an upgrade. The dessert menu had dried food smeared and it did not look cleaned. I am so disappointed in this small town establishment. I won't be returning for sure. Food was fair.
