Slow service. Exactly 2 hours from start to finish for 4 people. Food was OK, not worth the wait. Waitress was not on top of our table. I did like the hot chocolate though.

Great food, great beer, great selection, great staff - what else can you ask for?! Located in an old style home within a small charming town. You get that Rockefeller feeling you get before you even make it inside, especially around the holiday seasons. I can't say enough about the selection of beers, wine and food. Try the Pub Pickles, they will knock your socks off. This is a place that you can spend a lot of money (worth it!) or just a few bucks and have a pleasant fulfilling experience. Great for date night or just catching up with friends. I've even visited here several times for work meetings so they can handle larger crowds even though the place does not hold the largest seating area. This is a must try for anyone that has not been here.

Rustic place that is full of great energy. Great for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Only open until 3, but worth visiting. Excellent food and friendly service.

Stayed in Reedsville once for a couple weeks on business. Ended up eating here every day for breakfast and lunch. Lots of homemade goodness and friendly service. However, their real specialty is the french toast. By far the best I've ever had. It haunts me to this day. Still trying to make my way back to this town just to get the french toast again...

I have lived in the area all my life. I have heard, for at least half of that life, how great the Honey Creek is. It's.... meh.... ok. If you talk to people from Reedsville or Milroy area, you would think this place was placed on the planet and hand crafted with great care by God himself. I'm here to tell you it wasn't. It's a nice place. It is in what I would call a mediocre location. There is nothing that has ever really stood out for me, here. But maybe it is because my perspective extends beyond the boarders of Mifflin County. Look, it's breakfast. Honestly, how difficult is breakfast. You don't see culinary masters making a name for themselves based on breakfast. That's because breakfast is the most simple meal of the day. It is very difficult to screw it up. Honey Creek doesn't screw it up. They do a good job at breakfast. Especially the french toast. I prefer the Sticky Bun cafe for atmosphere and the more local flavor a short jaunt away in Yeagertown. But, to each their own. There are some really good breakfast joints about 20 minutes away in State College. But, if you are in the area, the Honey Creek is a nice place to stop for your standard breakfast fare.

Nice place. Got the rustic charm thing going on. Always seems to be packed with the blue-haired crowd, so be careful in the parking lot. Also always seems to be tricky finding yourself a table. They do not take credit cards, so be aware. They do breakfast and lunch - wish they were open for dinner but I suppose you shouldn't push it. Reasonable prices, country-style food. Local made desserts are quite good too. The service is typical for the Lewistown area - service is adequate but don't expect to be made to feel welcome.

Honey Creek Inn is a local and family favorite. Some of the folks and I enjoyed a very good breakfast (dare I even say brunch?) there yesterday. One strong suit is the menu: they have a larger variety than just your standard eggs/home fries/bacon/pancakes breakfast fare. This week they had a frittata with chicken, spinach, and feta on the menu. They also have a stuffed french toast. I went with an old standby of mine--western omelette--and borrowed one from someone else--the blueberry pancake. See, because breakfast is a meal that needs a dessert just like any other. I ordered the omelette without cheese, and it turned out not to need any. This was a very fine example of the western omelette, with eggs cooked fully through and just the right balance of ingredients. Solid A. The pancake was maybe a C+. I was unable to cut this thing with my fork, although it tasted pretty good. The "blubes"* were real (although obviously not local at this time of year) but there were only about a dozen in my six-inch pancake. Our waitress was great; I don't know if that's standard service at Honey Creek Inn, but it elevated the experience for me. One unfortunate touch: on the wall there were some mildly creepy paintings of Amish children which looked like something out of a Tod Browning film. *Coinage attributed to Beth D.

Honey creek is known locally for breakfast, but I'm not much on eating breakfast at all so I've visited a few times for lunch. My favorite lunch sandwich of all time is the Reuben. If I see it on a menu I have to try it. The one at Honey Creek doesn't disappoint. It's probably the best I've had from a restaurant that isn't a deli. The corned beef is sliced a little thicker than most places and It's a triple decker like club sandwich style. Even typing about it now makes me want one. The soups are also very good. All that I've had are home made and very good. A downside is the portions are on the small side. The dining room itself can feel a little cramped with the amount of customers that frequent the place. Definitely worth a visit for lunch.

I have been there a dozen times in the last 9 years and i live less than 5 minutes away. It's a nice place but a little expensive for breakfast and I've never been wowed by the food. I had blueberry pancakes with only 6 blueberries. My dining companion had chocolate chip pancakes also with a tiny number of chips. I would have been embarrassed to serve them. Service was not impressive. By Mifflin County standards it's a 5 star, all others shouldn't expect to much. I much prefer the Sticky Bun. The place is adequate all around, but don't drive out of your way for it.

Honey Creek Inn serves a wide variety of tempting breakfast foods, including a delectable French toast stuffed with cinnamon cream cheese and finished with orange marmalade syrup. According to the menu, Gourmet Magazine wants to know the secret to their French toast, which also comes with apples and bananas or cherries. Local foods such as scrapple are featured on the menu, and the skillets and omelets are made with local Cooper cheese, which tastes like a creamier, fresher Monterey Jack. Eggs are properly prepared to specifications (sunnyside, over medium) and fresh veggies retain a bit of crispness in their dishes. The sausage is very mildly flavored, but nicely accompanies the fluffy pancakes. Unfortunately, the coffee is not nearly strong enough. The restaurant itself is situated in a single-story house, with weathered wood booths, a small breakfast counter, and a couple of tables for larger parties. The decor evokes (feigned) memories of a slower, simpler time, with its delicate curtains, green milkshake blender, and paneled walls. There are prints of Amish children interspersed with paintings of farms on the walls, and several locally made quilts hanging from hooks, all of which are available for purchase. The piercing blue eyes shooting from the children's faces caused our group to speculate that perhaps the devil lurked behind them, such was their oddly oriented gaze and bright intensity. You will need to decide for yourself. Breakfast at Honey Creek Inn is delicious, but may be delayed if you have a large party. The servers are very sweet, have excellent memories, and are surprisingly adept at large trays heavily laden with goodies. Recommended, especially for the French toast.

A nice country place known for their breakfasts, especially their french toast! They accept cash or local checks only but there is an ATM located across the street.

Delicious French toast and the hot coffee really hit the spot. Arrive early to avoid the breakfast rush!
