We hired Brian and the Pig Pit for a family reunion on Aug 31,2013. We selected a pig for 50 and several sides (cole slaw, green beans, baked beans, bbq potatoes, and macaroni and cheese). They showed up at 11am, and hour prior to the serving start time (noon to 4pm) and set up all the fixing in a buffet serving style over two 8 foot tables. They provided the table skirts, the serving dishes, plates, utensils, napkins, etc. Brian and his help separated the pork for our guest and we just walked up and ate. Pig Pit also provided several of their own bottled BBQ sauces (hot, sweet, bbq, etc) and those sauces were a BIG hit. In fact, the whole meal was raved about by all the family. From the California cousins, to the NJ, Philly, and Va. aunts and uncles - one message heard all day long was how wonderful the food was. Sadly, my wife was too generous in the request by the guest to take home some of the leftover pork - so I ended up having no leftovers later. The guest lined up and they all took home the leftovers. The guest even made sure to grab the delicious rolls provided by Brian for sandwiches. Everything was good. On time - Yes. Good communication (before, during, after) - Yes Clean, professional workers - yes Clean serving area/food presentation - yes, did a great job as this was an outside event Food quality - Yes, very good pork, great sauces, amazing rolls. sides were solid (nothing too spicy or crazy) I would have liked onions in the green beans for extra flavor. But really, food was very good. We will definately use the Pig Pit in the future. Thanks Brian, you and your team made our first family reunion in 20 years a big success.

THIS IS THE PLACE. It is currently only open for lunch on Saturday, but it is worthwhile every time. Apparently they also have a trailer somewhere. I highly recommend the Atlanta-style pulled pork with the coleslaw!

Best Carolina & Georgia BBQ and awesome brisket! Watch for the days when they do ribs - my favorite is the dry rub. Order ahead - they sell out quick.
