You know, I REALLY am not an extremely picky person when it comes to hotels. Even in a dive-y place, as long at it has all the basics and is clean, I am usually happy as a clam. But this place is seriously the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. My husband and his bandmates played a show at a festival in Punxsy and were given four overnight rooms at this motel as part of the compensation. Wives tagged along for the trip. We actually ended up sampling 5 rooms in total, as one couple switched rooms in the middle of the night due to the toilet not working and dark grey mold creeping across bathroom floor. (Is there any cleaning staff here?) Out of the 5 rooms sampled, 4 had an odor of mildew and mold, two had toilets that didn't work or barely worked, 4 appeared filthy, one had air-conditioning that barely worked, one had NO working lights in little bathroom, and the only working light in bedroom was table lamp. Blankets visibly spotted and stained. Sheets extremely old and tattered. Pillowcases cast-off/secondhand from medical facility and still stamped with facility's name. Alarm on alarm clock did not work. The whole experience made me want to cry, or sleep in the car.
