The food was good, but a bit pricy. I ordered a side of bacon and it only came with two thin slices for over two dollars. Waitstaff was less than pleasant. They close at one on Sundays so make sure you get there before 12:30.

Expensive for what they offer. The food is nothing you wouldn't be able to cook on your own and problably better. Also, if you have a baby it seems like they try to encourage you to leave by sticking you in the back room and increasing the time it takes for a waiter to take an order or even acknowledge you.

Wow great service food and presentation in a clean environment! My first visit and we had the turkey Rueben turkey club wedding soup coffee and iced tea. Deliciously prepared! My wife and I ordered sandwiches and the soup to go! Knowledgable staff that smiles. Across the street someone has a Ferrari that needs repair at Auto Lodge. Things are looking up in town!

Food is ok.... usually tastes reheated. Nice variety and breakfast all day... stay away from pancakes and french toast... really not good.

I am always hesitant to give a place 2 stars- but it's the truth. Andy's was never the best place in the world to eat- however it seems to have gone downhill even more since reopening after flooding in 2011. The main dishes often come out lukewarm and seem like they have been frozen, reheated and brought out. The side dishes, such as vegetables, apple sauce, and pasta sauce, are absolutely without question out of the can (bleh!). In addition, the owners wife acts like it's a burden for you to be there and is not always the nicest person when you take longer to order or have a minor special request. Breakfast's aren't bad but nevertheless not the best diner in Plains Twp. Go to Eddie's instead...

The food wasn't bad, although the waitress treated me like crap. Just saying "what do you want" and then she scowled at me. Even though the grilled cheese was good I had really bad "stomach problems" after. I might go back... MIGHT

Andys River Road Diner is probly THE BEST diner around. I usually come here for breakfast on sundays and always get the denver omlette. For the price you cant beat the breakfasts here. The food is always made quickly and hot and consistent. Andy is usually there and isnt afriad to come say hi or ask how your food is or if you need anything etc.. The only problem is sometimes the server can be hit or miss.

Located south of Pittston, Pa on River Road. Nice and clean 50's style diner. Good service, good coffee and good filling breakfast. Try the homemade Corn Cakes. Reasonably priced and they accept credit cards.

I wish I would've tried this years ago! Everything is original from the 50's still, all stainless steel and formica. The service was attentive and quick. I was surprised how clean it was; the waitresses were cleaning when they weren't waiting on customers. Has your typical diner fare w/burgers, melts and classic American dinners. I liked how there was a daily special page in the menu. Mom had homemade piggies w/mashed potatoes and red beets and I had to try the chicken croquettes dinner w/mashed potatoes and buttered peas. My salad had a TON of black olives on, which I hate so be aware if you don't like them that much. For dessert mom had rice pudding and I had a slice of cheesecake w/strawberries. Everything was really tasty and the prices were reasonable. My only complaint is that the portions could be a little larger for the price. Will definitely come back. FYI- there are steps to the diner portion, so if someone is in a wheelchair I would call ahead to make sure the catering building is open. That addition had a wheelchair ramp, but is normally closed if not in use.
