Stumbled upon this shop while doing a search for ice cream spots near a wedding we were attending. So many choices!! Limited seating however - only 2 medium size tables inside so may not be ideal for hanging out for a longer period of time.

So many flavors to choose from- some very unique. I got a coffee/chocolate chunk ice cream in a cup, which was delicious! And a super friendly staff!! I'll definitely be back to sample more flavors.

They have around 50 flavors right there in front of your face and your welcome to try a sample of any your interested in. I went for the blueberry cheesecake yogurt atop a waffle cone. The blueberry was very prominent with chunks of cheesecake. Good stuff!

Insane selection at Scoops! I usually get the chocolate peanut butter swirl in a classic sugar cone. Staff is always super friendly! Grab a scoop and talk a walk down the Blvd for a perfect summer night!

We go here all the time! My daughter loves to try their new flavors but Blue Moon and Gold Medal Ribbon are still our favorites! Prices are better than Dave and Andy's and walking it makes you feel like you've stepped back into the early 70's or even 60's. The chocolate malt with chocolate syrup and vanilla ice cream always satisfies as well.

Just a classic, Pittsburgh neighborhood ice-cream shop. They recently went under new management and a make-over and look great and more inviting. The prices are great and they are a walk away for me and my roommate. Seasonally, they have wonderful flavors that spark my sweet tooth weekly. If you just want to walk around the block with some ice cream, Scoops is your place.

Another Pittsburgh Classic and a staple of my childhood! I have been going there since I was very young. One of my earliest childhood memories is going to this place on really hot summer days and being held up because I couldn't see over the case to see the ice cream displays. The owners are a fantastic husband/wife duo that rib each other, joke with the customers and are always great for a chat when you stop in. They have a ton of different flavors of hard ice cream, lots of toppings and freshly made waffle cones. They also have drinks, ice cream cakes and a slushie machine. Typical boulevard parking - street only with meters. There is seating inside and some chairs outside the store on the sidewalk as well.

Thanks Darren for getting me a quart of peanut butter fudge ice cream from this place as I drove us home from that crappy pizza place Saturday night. :) They use Perry's Ice Cream like Sinful Sweets in Lawrenceville does. Cute little place that does good business even in the winter! They have a sister ice cream shoppe in Mt. Lebanon.

Brookline History Note: This used to be Boulevard Ice Cream until very recently. Many years before that it was a Baskin Robbins. Ok, so after our nice Italian meal at Mateo's, I felt like ice cream. Ashamedly I hadn't been here in a while and was surprised to find that it changed hands again. I HAD to have a hot fudge sundae. So I got one. With chocolate marshmallow and butter pecan. Whipped cream, nuts, no cherry. Ooomph. It hit the spot. When I was a little kid, I used to scoop out the hot fudge and eat it first. I haven't grown out of that. :D My date got a Cotton Candy ice cream double scoop cone. Man, they make ice cream out of anything don't they? It was amazing. Loved it. They have fresh made waffle cones too! It's the first scent that hits your nose when you walk in. Note: They're remodeling, so don't be put off by how modest it is inside. It should only get better. Nice service too. The guy running the joint looks and sounds as if he could be a mechanic or a remodeler, discussing ice cream like he's talking about carburetor's or putting up drywall. Only in Pittsburgh. Love it. Get your ice cream here instead of at the market. I saw people walking out with fresh scooped pints, so they will do that for you. They have a mouthful of flavors here too. Take a date there on a warm summer evening and stroll dahn the Boulevard holdin' hands and eatin' ice cream.
