Growing up in NYC, I've been a harsh critic of pizza joints in the area. Most other places serve up slices that are too oily or don't make the dough right. But as far as I'm concerned, Riverside Pizza has the best slices this side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I've also tried their strombolis and salads--portions are huge and everything is awesome. Enough said.

We ordered a cheese pizza from them. Smelled delicious! Tad greasy for my personal taste but it was a little more than average pizza in my book. Better than the chain restaurants (you could tell this was more fresh) and when I called to place my order the woman on the phone was very friendly.

The stromboli here is ridiculous. Its huge, cheesy, full of whatever toppings you choose, and just amazing. More than enough food for two people, or a dinner and lunch the next day. I've walked through a pretty interesting food festival on Main St. just to get to this place for a stromboli. Skip the pizza though...for some reason they're just not as good as the stromboli. Now, let me tell you..one night I was here I saw a little "Jerry" peek his head from around the beverage cooler/trash can area but don't let that discourage you. All restaurants deal with pests and if, who is deathly afraid of mice, can look past that, you can too.

I moved to Roxborough a couple months ago with my fiance and we set out to find the best pizza in the area. This place was the best about three or four places in and after trying a few more we have definitely loved this place the best. The pizza was really good and the sandwiches are great as well. The staff is really friendly and the delivery service was great. We think it's the best in the area and will definitely be ordering from them a lot more!

Not bad. I don't know if it was the best pizza I've ever had...ok, it wasn't, but it was pretty good and was even better after reheating it in the oven the next morning. I also really can't complain about the price, which was pretty fair for the size and toppings I picked up and delivery was prompt. I think there are some better places, but lightning fast delivery is excellent for when you don't want to go out.

Since we moved to manayunk we have been searching for good pizza to replace our old south philly favorite uncle oogies. We tried quite a few places before trying riverside all with disappointing results. We ordered the greek pizza (white) and it was terrific. Plus the person who took our order over the phone was so polite and courteous and didnt try to rush me through the order. Our pizza came within a reasonable amount of time and tasted great. It has nice fresh veggies and a ton of feta and real kalamata olives!

The gyro is what you should expect from a good Greek restaurant. The Greek pizza is AWESOME! It is even good (if not better) the next day cold....it tastes like a Greek salad. Their feta cheese is so fantastic! The pepperoni pizza fries are also a winner. I am so glad I found a great delivery spot!!!

Live in Conshohocken and love hanging out in Manayunk..been unsuccessful in finding a pizza shop/sandwich shop in both areas until we tried this cute little pizza shop that could almost be missed because it does not have an ostentatious presence..my fiancee is from New York and he has always been complaining that he cannot find pizza in this area as good as the pizza he grew up eating in New York.WELL WE WERE AMAZED! The pizza here is delicious..you can taste that only high quality ingredients are used and the crust was baked to perfection. We LOVE this place and its only a bonus that the staff is always nice and pleasant. Definitely worth trying! (we have tried others on the street and there's a reason this pizza shop has been there as long as it has)

Riverside used to be our go-to place for food. The owners are super nice. Like, ridiculously nice. I normally stick to the cheesesteaks, chicken finger hoagies, and especially gyros. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is we normally get delivery and too often our food isn't even warm when we get it.

Fresh ingredients for sure and the price is right at this pizza/sandwich shop on Main Street in Manayunk. Lately the delivery has been just so-so and the food has been arriving luke warm most times. Since there is no real way for us to control this, I think we have decided to pick up from here instead of getting delivery. Try to classic gyro...soo good!

My go-to pizza place in Manayunk when I'm looking for a classic pizza instead of a sweeter version like Franzone's up the street--which is also quite good, but the sweetness can be a little much to eat every time you order a pizza. I always end up back at Riverside for pizza. Their cheesesteaks are also really quite good. Food is always fresh and piping hot upon pick up. Gives all the other pizza joints in the area a run for their money. Highly recommended.

I admit, I am spoiled when it comes to pizza. I used to live near a pizza place that the Italian Embassy in DC would order from. So I was nervous. I shouldn't have been! The pizza was great, fresh toppings and the classic NYC crust. Only downside was the wings, which my husband likes spicy and weren't quite hot enough for him.

I got their two slice combo with a drink. I asked for the main street specialty. Biggest slices of pizza. I was soon full. Those two slices could have been a small pizza. Loved the pizza. Was piping hot and delicious. Good thing I live like 5 minutes from them. :)

I am new to Philly, but I know good pizza. If you like wide soft crusts and a lot of provolone, this is a place to try in the area. Customer service is great and the two large slice/20 oz deal is reasonable for $5.99. The chicken gyro is worth a try too. Parking in front is small, I usually park in the empty side parking lot. The posted signs on who/when parking is permitted are contradictory though. Just that word of caution.

This is our favorite pizza place in the Manayunk/Roxborough area. We moved here 2 years ago and so far it's the best pizza we've had. However, the past few times we tried to order from here, the phone just rang and rang and rang and no one picked up. The online ordering was also unavailable. And yes, we checked everywhere for their hours and they were supposed to be open at the time. It would be one thing if this only happened once, but this has happened to us 3 times. Doesn't seem like a great way to keep customers. How can you be somebody's "go-to" pizza shop when you randomly decide to not take orders?

I have ordered from here several times and the pizza has been excellent. I would especially recommend the buffalo chicken pizza. This pizza isn't overwhelming with the buffalo sauce and has the perfect spice kick. Additionally, the pizza is very consistent which is sometimes hard to find with a pizza spot. The service is also welcoming and quick. The decor could use a little modernizing, but because it is kept in good condition and clean it's not too bad.

Best pizza in Manayunk without a doubt. We have a lot of options in Manayunk, but crust sauce cheese- perfection. If you love a traditional big floppy slice this is the place. Delivery drivers are really courteous as well.

I had the pizza a couple times and it was surprisingly good. I wanted to try something different so I ordered the gyro and Greek salad with chicken and wow, amazing! Everything tastes authentic, especially the feta. Try either, you won't be disappointed!

I can't speak to their pizza, but I've ordered a few platters and know this place can cook. My favorite is probably the gyro special (gyro, fries, and a can drink for $8.29 plus tax). They also have a handful of other good deals like their 2 slice deal. Again, I haven't tried their pizza, so won't speak to that deal. Be warned, they add $0.35 if you use a credit card. They say it is "to avoid minimum charges" but I think its just a bs way to pass costs along to the customer. Its my main reason for not eating there more frequently.

Stopped in after a long day for a meat lovers pizza to take home and devour. Crust, sauce, and toppings were on point, but the middle was slightly doughy. Overall, I would order a pizza again as it is one of the best I have had in Manayunk.

Ordered the 3, 1 topping medium pizzas for 21 bucks. Not bad. Pizza was ready in a timely fashion. The mediums are more like smalls in 12'' fashion. The sauce was standard in each way not any spices to speak of. Dough was fresh, little bit of corn meal/flour excess on the bottom. Descent amount of cheese. The extra cheese pie we order was awesome though! Everything else pretty good.

Living in Manayunk for 4 years or so, we're kind of spoiled when it comes to pizza. This place is the pizza promised land. Riverside is my personal favorite. The sauce is amazing, and the dough is just perfect. It's a little mom and pop, and pop knows how to cook. Come here for the Pizza. Stay here for everything else on the menu. It's all solid.

My roommate and I ordered food from here the first night we moved into our house in Manayunk. We have lived here for 3 years and Riverside is still our go to pizza/salad/hoagie/cheeseteak etc. place. Everything is great here. The pizza is always fabulous. The price is right here, and the delivery is always fast! The Salads: I have to write about these individually because 1. The creamy Italian dressing is my favorite dressing ever and 2. The Greek salad comes with the best and freshest feta cheese I have had since studying abroad in Greece. The owners are what keeps us coming back though, they are the nicest people ever, always always friendly and happy!! We love them!

I'm judging on a Saturday night delivery order so maybe it's better if you eat in. I was expecting so much more from all the great Yelp reviews. The man who took my phone order was super friendly and the food arrived exactly when they said it would. We had 3 pizzas - meat lovers, one with meatballs, and a white pizza with feta and spinach. The white pizza was the tastiest for sure, but none of them were spectacular by any means. The toppings were stuck to the wax paper the pizza was on, and they ripped off when you tried to remove a slice from the box. For my money, I think Mister P's in the SuperFresh shopping center was better. I may give Riverside another shot someday but for now my quest for the best pizza delivery in Manayunk continues...

Riverside Pizza has been at its current location forever. I don't know who owns it, how many changes of management they've had, or whether or not their actually Greek, but they do make one helluva chicken cheesesteak. Over the years I've order lots of things from Riverside Pizza. None, however, compare to their chicken cheesesteak. Seriously, it gives Ishkabibbles a run for their money. Perfectly seasoned, tender chunks of grilled chicken, presumably thigh, are stuffed into a classic Philly roll (not sure who makes it) for you to enjoy. Add some fried onions, mushrooms, and prov and you're all set. Plus, for $10 you get the special that comes with fries and a canned soda. Hard to beat. The Riverside chicken cheesesteak: one of possibly three reasons to ever go to Manayunk.

I've ordered from here before and never had an issue. Today I ordered something other than pizza, Turkey Club Wrap w/ fries and a salad. After eating a few fries, I found 2 dark, thick hairs and some lint mixed in them. I have short blonde hair so I have no idea where this hair came from. I'm usually not grossed out by hair, but since this was clearly not mine and IN the fries (not just on top) I lost my appetite. Maybe... next time I'll just stick with pizza. Maybe..

Stopped here while we were in the area Saturday night..The girl taking orders was SUPER friendly as well as the delivery driver.. They immediately engaged in conversation with us and kept it going until our pizza was ready.. It felt like I have been going there for years.. We got our pizza piping hot out of the oven.. Walked back down Main Street and drove almost 8 miles home and the pizza was still warm!!! I have to say it's so hard to find good pizza in this area and this was great! I definitely will be returning here when I am back in Manayunk!!! Thanks for making me feel welcome!

I've lived in Manayunk for 12 years and this is still one of my favorite places to eat at and order from. It's family owned and they are amazing people....always polite, nice, and they always greet you with a smile. When you order delivery, they are lightning fast! And the food is always hot and fresh. I love their mozzarella fries (just so delicious) and their Greek Pita is amazing. I am NEVER let down by them!! You won't be disappointed. I could only give 5 stars...I would give them 10!

I can't say enough about this place! The owner is super nice, and will make changes to the menu items to accommodate your preferences. The Strombolis are amazing - the cheese inside goes into the crust, and they also brown cheese on top. The dough is on point, and probably the best Stromboli I've ever had. This is our go to pizza place. Only downside is they aren't open late.
