We are here for dinner on a school night. We were put in the back dining room where it is very dark. 3 tables one light. It was very hard to read the menu but it would have been fine if we didn't have the kiddos. The kids portions are huge!!! So don't worry about it, also the buttered noodles are drenched in butter. I wouldn't allow the kids to order those again for the boys. Our waitress was very good and attentive. We will return because the food is consistent and it's ok. It isn't the best. Posting pictures of the kids menu because those aren't on their website and the beer special on a Wednesday is $1.50 draft domestics

Kool place, good was good, our waitress Cheryl was awsome! We will return thanks to her.

I do like this place. Random location outside Jim Thorpe. But great food...Bbq is damn good. Don't get corn....not worth it! We thought was on cob but just a small dish of corn...weird and nothing special at all...only regret. Wish we did get a table at the back though as over looks a stream. Nice little 30 second walk down to it too. Played corn hole afterwards round the back...fun. A little bit of a biker bar but very friendly. Recommended and will be back. Unsure why this place didn't get better reviews.

Service is always an issue here. You'll wait and wait and wait. Food is ok if you don't get cute: Wings and sandwiches are fine. Don't go to a smokehouse and expect a gourmet salad! It's a solid place for a beer, some bar food, and a great deck experience. Take it for what it is and you can have a good meal and a great time!

The food is not bad, with happy servers this place might rate better. Nice place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I have been here 7 times now. The nachos are good, the gumbo is great. Bottles of BBQ sauce are always sticky. Find happier people that have food service skills.

Upon arrival we were informed that there was an hour wait because the kitchen was backed up. The place was not at all packed. Still we waited an hour. We finally sat and no one came to our table. I had to go seek out a server. Finally after a good while a server appeared. When we ordered they were out of 2 of the meals we ordered so we had to settle. Terrible service. Nice location though. With proper management this place could be legendary. But it seems they are going to run it into the ground.

They need to get their act together. Great location but I've be sitting here without any clue as to where my waitress is for a good 20 minutes. Beer and drink revenue lost. Also, no craft beers on tap if that is what you're looking for. They need help with the service, basic stuff like making sure you check on tables and make sure they have drinks snd utensils. Really disappointed.

It's my fault. I read the reviews but it was close and I was hungry. Avoid at all costs. Keep driving you'll soon find a gas station hot dog that will be better! Interesting complex and decor. Trying to figure out where the front door was was a challenge. Kept it simple and ordered the nachos. Hard to screw up. Melt cheese over chips and serve with some decent store bought salsa. Well apparently it can be destroyed. Cheese was some odd form of liquid cheese but not the bright yellow stuff. Red onions were chopped the size of a quarter so not appealing to eat and the salsa tastes like chunky ketchup. Pulled pork on top was odd tasting like it was frozen first. There were flies everywhere like circling a dead carcass everywhere. Some employee was walking around with a fly swatter killing them but not picking them up. So there were smeared fly everywhere. Great quality control. I'm sure I tasted a few. I wouldn't drink beer from the place if it were hermetically sealed. Ordered coffee. First one was good. After that it tasted like hot water was added to my first cup and kept getting more diluted till it was just brown like warm poo water. Disgusting. Avoid!!!

Solid entrees, good service, plenty of parking, and a really unique and funky (fun) decor - what more can you ask for? One of the most fun places to grab a meal for miles. Order the wings and gumbo and, especially any of the smoked meats. They use a real smoker out back!

HORRIBLE! 3rd time going and HORRIBLE food and drinks each time. Ordered a burrito. Literally, a wrap with just dry beef. That's it!! A little lettuce and tomato on the side. The margaritas were lemonade. Seriously, lemonade... Decided to switch it up and order gin and tonic. They brought my drink in a broken glass. I couldn't believe it! This is a nice looking place. But you should avoid it and find another location who takes pride in their establishment.

Holy cow this place is bad. Never ever doubt the Yelp reviews. Headed up to the Finger Lakes for some wine and we needed lunch. You can see this place from the highway and it actually looks like a great roadside stop. Inside they clearly have done a lot to the place. It looks like a great biker bar. The staff is friendly. What's not to love? And then the food arrives... Really, you would have to try, try hard, to make food this bad. Ribs were so overcooked and burnt. Sandwiches had almost no pork on them. The food at this place is awful. If you have to order anything, apparently the burger gets a passing grade. Who owns this place? Have you not eaten here in forever? Undercover Boss this place and turn it around!

The setting right on the river is beautiful. We loved sitting outside right next to the river. The seats are built into the tables and very hard. You have to straddle a piece of wood or sit sideways so it isn't comfortable. We found the food to be good. We like the bbq chicken. We have gone three times. The service is not good. The first time, our server would disappear, returning after 20 minutes without whatever we asked for. We waited forever for the check. The second and third visits were a little better, but still, the service is very slow. We would return more often if the service improved. It's the setting that makes us want to go back.

1.7/10.0 Riverwalck is the pits. I've been here a few times. I usually give a place at least 2 shots. After 2 fails, my brother and I, about 6 months later, both thought we'd give it one more chance. Strike 3. So this is a multiple-visit review. One time there were big fat flies all over the place. I mean all over. Like we spent the meal avoiding and swatting them. Pretty sure that was the same time that the table was incredibly sticky. Service has ranged from poor to slightly less than acceptable on every visit. And the food--ugh. It's a pathetic excuse for BBQ. A reviewer below mentioned that the brisket she was served was a slab of fat---that's exactly what I was served- a burnt and charred slab of fat and some beef. 80/20 fat to beef. On another occasion I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was pathetic. Seriously all of the bbq I've had at this place (and that's their shtick) has been like a cheap imitation. Like something you'd get when Applebee's, or better yet, a crappy diner, is featuring BBQ. Which baffles me thanks to all of the smoking apparatus they're boasting outside. The proximity to the peaceful Pohopoco Creek is about all this place has going for it. But you're also right on top of a busy highway, so the outdoor serenity is kind of compromised. ***If you want top-notch BBQ in this area, check out Big Creek BBQ--it's a roadside stand on Rt. 443 (or Blakeslee Blvd) in the same lot as Fedor's Carwash. Excellent pulled pork, beef brisket, and 50/50 sandwiches. I think they're open Wed-Sat (or maybe Sun?) in the warmer half of the year probably noon to early evening.

The actual spelling is Riverwalck. We waited 45 minutes on a Saturday night. Very nice tavern-restaurant. Out areas are 3. Two inside bar areas. Food was good. We had normal food...chicken and hamburger. Both were fine. Owner visited to make sure we were happy because of our wait. Very friendly.

There's literally nothing redeeming about this place. And I'm an easy person to impress. If you find yourself in the area avoid this place. Go anywhere but here. There's the Bowmanstown diner near by which doesn't have alcohol. But there's also a place called PJ Wilihams near by to this place. Go there, they have great BBQ wings and shrimp and alcohol .

  • Amanda B.

I feel bad because Tim, who is going into the navy and Paula who was just plain nice (our waiters/waitress (who did not wish to be in the photo)), were perfectly fine, but this place and it's clientele (given the white trash) (I am from this area (my uncle owns a local business as well)) are pathetic. They have pool leagues on Sunday so no one else can play if they would like. Our service was fine, but to be honest the whole situation was disappointing (not that I was expecting much). Most of our party gave a thumbs down.

  • Laura K.

I said I wouldn't go back but I went back. Seduced by a nice day and the chance to sit by the creek, near a fire pit, with a beer. It was really relaxing. Then we decided to go inside and get a table to eat. My previous comments about the service stands. It's not the best. We were ignored for a while. Very frustrating! The menu had changed since last year. I didn't see the offensive brisket anymore. I ordered a pork sandwich with Carolina sauce and pickles on top, accompanied by fresh made chips. It was delicious. My companions' food was great too. Comeback story. Just get the service more coordinated, please.

Huge beautiful biker bar.. My husband and I were looking for a diner and stumbled upon this place because of the "Sunday brunch" sign. The outside is huge and looks like they know how to have fun at night! Sunday brunch is very mellow ...no bikers! Haha and the food is good. I had the French toast ( huge portion) and my husband had the breakfast burrito with chorizo sausage. Both were good. The only reason I am giving three stars instead of 4 is because the bar had some flies, everything was clean but not sure of it was the hundreds of bottles of liquor that they have on the shelves. Even the bathrooms were very clean but somehow they still have some flies...

  • Greg N.

We've been here three or four times, always hoping it will be better, but it never is. Horribly slow service, no matter how many staff are on hand (most sitting around doing nothing or playing with their phones) or how empty the place is. On our most recent visit (and our last - we finally are giving up on this place) we had to wait 45 minutes for HAMBURGERS! Which, by the way, were way overcooked and served with cold fries. Based on our experience and that of the other reviewers, it's a wonder this place even stays open.

  • Kelly M.

Went there it was so hot inside. Menu is nothing but meat. Which I usually enjoy, but not at those prices. I had a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Probably the best dressing I have ever had. Other then that I don't think I'll go back. Prices are ridiculous.

    (2)
  • Matt M.

Stop whining about the prices, look at this place! Yes the prices are high for the area, but aesthetically, there isn't any place like this around. On yelp, the food gets a bad rap. I had the pulled pork and wings, no qualms here. Not the best BBQ, but definitely not the worst, it gets the job done. This place does not deserve a 2 star rating, give it a try.

I have always wanted to try this place because the atmosphere looks really inviting. My wife and I went last night and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. There were dozens and dozens of open tables so we asked why the wait. They told us it was a kitchen wait? I never heard that before so that was kinda odd. I think they just wanted to force us to spend some money at the bar. We went around back and sat at a table overlooking the stream, very nice, so far the place had a better environment then I imaged when driving by. Then we got seated and ordered. The selection was limited. We ordered the cheesesteak and fajitas. The cheesesteak had unique cheese on it but that ended up being all you could taste. Chunky cheese on bread. The fajitas were decent but nothing to write home about. Total bill was $35. For a cheesesteak and fajitas and diet coke (wife had water), a little steep. All in all don't go here and expect to be blown away by your meal. But it you want to go out with some friends to a place with a great atmosphere, sit between a lovely stream and a big ass fire pit, have a few drinks and be fed in the process. This is the place you are looking for.

  • Miguel V.

Owner needs to really revamp this place or sell it. Went there today with wife and friend with her 4 kids....total bill for mediocre food.... $99 plus 20% gratuity!! Place is only good for hanging out by the river, relaxing, and a couple of drinks!! Menu is extremely minimal....not much in choices available. Don't order the wings because they have maybe 3 grams of meat and are burnt beyond burnt!! Highly over priced for what they offer!!

  • Julia F.

was only here once. very cramped inside seating area, and very loud. I went with my parents for dinner and the food was alright but a little pricey. not wonderful, not bad, just meh. I got some plain chicken tacos. then our server disappeared. it took close to 20 minutes to find anyone who could get our check. we just wanted to get out of there. maybe sitting outside is better, I don't know, but my desire to go back is low.

  • Jim L.

I've been here a few times. The best thing about the place is their smoked meats. I got the sampler platter so I could try it all. I was very pleased with the flavor of everything. I think the brisket is over-done. The worst things about the place are the crowded rooms and the loud music. It's hard to even talk with the music blasting. Service is good and it has a unique atmosphere. Give it a try.

  • Brad L.

Id give it about a 2.5 / 5 Stars (edited jan 2015) Good things: pretty nice place. outside deck is nice when weather is good enough and fire pits during the fall are something nice as well. theres really no other place like it nearby for sure. the staff (mainly the bartenders [dana, megan, kala, liz, pj]) are conversational and usually get ur drinks pretty quick. the french fries and THE CAROLINA SAUCE IS GREAT. The above end up being the best things about this place. chicken and quesadillas are good. the burgers ive tried and wings are pretty decent. also has shuffle board and 2 pool tables downstairs and a nice backbar. Bad things: The place seems to be run by a worrisome owner who is nitpicking about every little thing and will eventually get hurt bigger by them. for instance the prices for most items are quite high for the area and it is not backed by high quality. Some of the other staff isnt so great/are drama centered (just small town/high school mentality) and hurt the good staff and restaurant. The restaurant has an identity complex with the biker bar, hip-hop music, possible dance bar to be built (as of jan 2015 there's no update on this). The food cam be very hit or miss, the bbq is slightly better for most things but also has a few crappy offerings . the steak and chicken tacos from their taco night tasted exactly the same.

will not return. Menu has changed. Less selection. Charges for water. Charges for more than one refill on soft drinks. Service continues to be slow. As much as I like the outdoor seating and location, I'm done with this place. Better eats found elsewhere in the local area that deserve the business.

  • Yvonne M.

Let me start by saying I have been a huge fan of this place. We went there today and were disappointed by a much smaller menu and much higher prices. I ended up getting a cheese burger (boring) it came out made the way I wanted it but was soooooo dry and the side of cole slaw was brownish and unflavorful. My husbands burrito that he loved before was also very dry and lack luster. The atmosphere is always the big draw. The decks and creek are just great and casual. Will try again and hope this was a fluke but fear it may not be.

Great place to venture out on the bike in the summer! You can sit outside which is nice. The food is good, nothing special ... But it tastes good and the portions they give you are huge. Staff and service is good! Will definitely be back when we are on the bike in that area!

  • J M.

Cool looking bar. Very dissapointed in the food. The nachos, little neck clams were mediocre and the tacos and chimichanga had meat in them that had no taste. Doesn't the chef season anything ? It's a shame. The place is interesting.... The food was just terrible. I'm hoping someone from there reads this and other reviews and makes some adjustments to the cooking.

  • Ty S.

Great wings and enjoyed all three different types of meals I have had there. The flies inside are a problem (just like a previous reviewer stated). You think it would be an easy fix!!?? Some bartenders bust their butts, but they have to to cover for some of the workers that like to stand and complain about their jobn. Fix those simple things...and 5 stars. Oh great fire pits to enjoy drinks outside!! Great idea.

  • Sarah S.

From the area so gave this place a few tries. It's a shame the owner can't see the flaws in management. Let's start with the food- seems much better since the change in head chef but lacks in consistency. Bartenders- I can't tell you any names cause they are always changing and it seems hard to see the same ones due to an irregular schedule. Wait staff- almost every time I have gone here there seems to be more waitresses then customers. Overstaffed to the extreme and they all seem they are not thrilled to be there. I don't blame them from personal experience and overhearing talk between employees there seems to be more drama there then a high school full of girls. The blonde waitress I believe her name was Deb seemed more into what the hot rumor was then her job and may I add this drama queen is one of the oldest there. Time to remove the old furniture and in with the new and fast.Hopefully change is in the air?

I've been here a couple times and it's definitely nothing to brag about. The food is ok, nothing special. However after the last experience I will not be returning. We made reservations for a Friday night because we had a group of 10. We arrived a little before our reservation time and were told our table wasn't ready. No problem. So we hung out at the bar for a drink. After an hour of watching people leave and checking to see if our table was ready we were FINALLY seated. I have never waited anywhere more than 10 minutes when having a reservation and here it was an hour. Absolutely ridiculous! We didn't receive an apology or any sort of compensation but we did have crappy service where the waitress forgot stuff and we had to ask for more drinks. Definitely not worth it. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Me and my buddy stopped in after a good night on the mountain...cold ass night and I was starving and thirsty..walked in n was greeted right away and she told us about the back bar...think our bartenders name was Kacy, (she was pretty cute and my buddy was amazed by her beautiful smile lol), and she recommended a few items...I got the BBQ pork sammy and my buddy got the Tex Burger and we both got the Dragons Breath IPA (very good)...I was told the burger was excellent and I enjoyed the Bbq pork...the side dish of beans mixed with pork was ok (beans weren't cooked evenly) but loved the in house BBQ sauce (it was pretty awesome good combo of sweet and tangy and possibly could of drank the bottle)...there was a white applewood sauce or something which I was told was awesome but gotta say I thought it lacked something and when mixed with the homemade BBQ sauce it was...with it being sooo cold we didn't have to worry about the flies inside that other reviewers mentioned and didn't check the bill so can't confirm if we got charged for the waters we got with out beers (I'd hope we didn't get charged cos that's just ridiculously absurd)...since this is on the way to the inn there's a good chance I'd be back if I stay up there...Hopefully the sauce will be just as good or even better, maybe I can buy the sauce online?

Great building...decent service, only reason I gave it two stars. Too bad the food is absolutely void of any flavor. It's a Tex Mex Saloon. Obviously they have never been to Texas or Mexico. Or Texico. Lol.

Stopped by for the first time on steak night (Who knew) and we were ushered back to a small room with 3 tables. Rustic with a flat screen and a great heater which was good because it was about 10 degrees outside.Service was good and the waitress explained some of the dishes we were interested in.The southwest Caesar salad was great tasting and great big, enough for 3.My Ribeye steak was tasty and cooked just the way I like it although a bit too fatty but then most ribeyes are, should have ordered the strip steak. The loaded baked potato had way too much loading on it and the potato was too starchy,I like them white and flaky inside. My wife got the dry rubbed ribs but they supply homemade sauces on the side which are good. These aren't baby back and they tell you that upfront, more like country style ribs.I should have told her to order something else because she ate about 11/2 and I brought the rest home, carved the meat off the ribs added some barbecue sauce and made some pretty good pulled pork sandwiches. All the portions were big and you shouldn't leave hungry. I may go back and check out their Tex/Mex selections.

Let me start by saying that I loved the sweet tea here. Food-wise, I believe I had an average experience. I felt like their carnitas tacos needed something. I mean, I frequent Qdoba when I am at home, and while I consider theirs to be of average, just-what-I-expect-from-Jack-In-The-Box quality, I do believe that they are better than Riverwalck's were. I used every one of their variety of sauces trying to fill that void to no avail. If I were in the area again I would most certainly go back to try something more on the barbecue side. That smoker blowing fragrant wood smoke like crazy out front has to be good for something here. I think I just missed the boat and should have trusted my nose. On the other hand...if I had to pick my best meal in the Lehighton/Palmerton area, this was it. Go and give it a shot, it's surely worth a try.

I sat outside the table with a group of 11 for dinner. The setting is nice but the chair made my butt ache after a while because it lacked cushioning. The service was poor in that one of the waiters dropped a plate and splashed sauce all over my friend. Then the waiter used a very unsanitary cloth to wipe the sauce off of my friend. As for the food, I tried a Taco Salad for the very first time. And I can only say two words, watery and lack of guacamole. I think this place has forever scarred me from ordering another TACO SALAD. On the other hand, my friend ordered the Blackened Tuna in medium rare and it was rather delicious. Perhaps I should have ordered that instead. Anyhow, my grading was based on food and service, which Riverwalck Saloon needs to work on.

I've eaten here with my family and friends often. It's easily our favorite local restaurant. All of the food is made from scratch and tastes incredible. Portions are huge, well worth the money. It can be a it loud, hard to have a conversation. I'd say that is the biggest drawback. Come during good weather and sit outside to avoid that.

I have been to the Riverwalck a few times now, and frankly I am still not that impressed. My boyfriend loves Mexican food, so we usually end up here if we don't feel like driving to Allentown. The first time I was there I got a burger, and I do have to say that was good. The next time we went with a large group of people, and we all shared the nachos with pork. The pork tasted like it was sitting in a pot all day. Then the next time we went, I'd say about a month ago I had the beer battered fish it was decent. So it's basically a hit or miss. Though I did enjoy sitting outside on the deck (which is way better than sitting in the dark basement) and I do enjoy the different sauces, I would only recommend this place if your will to take chances. I am sure I will end up there soon again, but I think I will just still to the burgers, or fish.

Every time we come to the Lehighton area to camp we make sure we fit in a trip to Riverwalck. 2 to 4 times a year. I am utterly dismayed by some of the reviews dissing the food- especially the ones that say "small portions"!!! My god!! Many of the entrees I've had looked as if they were intended for Fred Flintstone!!! Just tonight we again discussed the fact that we (2 grown men whose weights average to three hundred pounds each) should remember in future to split the Cobb salad because it's just too big!!! The SALAD!!! People quibble about how they like their BBQ-- fine... That's personal preference. I think it's delicious! You either like it or you don't. Yes- it's a maximized biker bar. I'm sorry there are no finger bowls and sometimes things don't seem very refined. Get over it. It's not that kind of restaurant. As for the service we have received over the last four years or so- we've never had a problem. In fact tonight we found out that none of the bus boys showed up- and under the circumstances the service was nothing short of a miracle!!! Kudos to Leah and her co- workers for pulling together and getting the job done!!! The ambience is great- the views are beautiful!!

I really wouldn't even give this place a single star but that is the lowest yelp will let you go. Not much more to say than this place is god awful, over priced for terrible food terrible service and small portions - stay away. Just a biker watering hole.

My boyfriend and I have passed this place so many times that I finally said we should stop in. First thing we noticed was how large the outdoor deck was and how close to the river it is. I thought this would be a great place to come back to in the Spring when it gets warmer out. Once inside we sat in a nice quiet area. Our waitress was really nice and recommended some drinks for us. (FYI they have any kind of liquor you could think of...the bar is huge!) The drinks were great (washington apple). The menu has a pretty nice selection and the portion sizes are huge. One of the things I liked most though was the home made sauces they had at all the tables. There was home made ketchup, ranch, bbq, and steak sauce. They all went great with the fries. We will definitely be back in the Spring to eat outside, if not sooner.

Hubby & I tried Riverwalck Saloon w/ his mom on Monday. They are located just off of Rt 209N just past the Bowmanstown exit (Yelp! address keeps defaulting to "Palmerton, PA", but it should be Parryville, PA). They encourage bikers to stop on in, but there were only two cycles parked in the lot when we were there. They have a VERY expansive deck which looks VERY inviting. If it had been just a bit cooler, then we would have sat outside. Inside it was a little tight (words of advice to the owners - BUY A FLY STRIP!). Their tap beer selection had the usual suspects, but no Guinness. :o( The food selection is a mix between Tex (BBQ) & Mex (tacos & such). I had the pork carnitas tacos, hubby had the chimichanga, & MIL had the pork BBQ sammy. All were delicious & the portions were worth the $$. The pork had a nice, smokey flavor to it, but it wasn't "authentic" carnitas. Still, it was tasty. We had three dinners & three beers & spent $50, including tip. Not bad. The waitress was new but VERY pleasant & helpful. We will definitely visit again the next time we're up in the area.

A total of 6 of us made the 40 minute trip for food and drinks. Not a wise choice... I'll start off by saying that after being on a wait list for about 2 hours, we finally got taken to our seats. The seats were on the deck and the chairs were very close to the steps of the deck. We mentioned that we may fall off the deck with a simple chair adjustment and the hostess had us pick up the tables and chairs and move them while a few able bus boys watched. After finally getting situated we ordered our food. We were all having a decent time talking, having some drinks, enjoying the fire pits... Then we realized it was about a hour and a half since we placed the order... I understand it was busy but a little update would've helped. We asked the waitress as she passed and she kept saying, "soon". It finally came out, (I ordered the Smoke House platter) and it was cold. The brisket was all fat, the portion was very small, and the ribs were dry. The only bright spot was the chicken(that's where the 1 star came from). My wife ordered a burrito without sour cream or cheese. Hers was covered in sour cream and filled with enough cheese to clog up Paula Dean. Our friend had a similar issue with her order. Then flavor of the smoke and barbecue were very bland. I've made better tasting food on my grill. Then after about another 30+ minutes of waiting so we can explain the issues, the waitress finally returned. She said she'd check with the manager... She then returned another 20 minutes later saying there's nothing they can do. The food was pre-made so they couldn't remove cheese, sour cream, etc. and the beef is always "fatty"... If that's the case why weren't we told? Why did it take 2 hours to get the food? And even if the waitress didn't know how the food was prepared why didn't the kitchen inform her so she could've had us change the order?... She then returned with the bill and we were made to pay for both entree's. Neither of which we really ate because of the screw ups and quality. She said she felt bad so she'd take 10% of the order. A whole $3. Thanks. I still had to pay $40 for terrible food & horrible service. I will NEVER go back to this place and I suggest others don't either.

Average at best. I have been here several times and I always find the same problems. The service is poor, the volume us loud, and the food does not live up to the hype. The burgers do look decent, but I don't go to a restaurant that tauts itself as a Tex-Mex/barbecue and order a burger. The barbecue just seems to lack flavor. Another issue I have is that I cannot seem to find ribs on the menu. They call themselves a barbecue joint but only offer ribs as part of their barbecue sampler entree...weird. Maybe they are trying to be all things to all people, TexMex,BBQ, and americana. Unfortunately it just doesnt work for me.

It makes me sad to have to write this review because my first few experiences here were relatively positive, but tonight I had quite arguably the worst dining experience of my entire life. Our table waited 2 hours before receiving our entrees, which only came after one of us went to speak to a manager. When the food finally came one of the orders was incorrect (because apparently "pork tacos" sounded like "pork chops" to our waitress), requiring an additional 10 minutes of waiting for one of us. The situation could have been diffused somewhat had our waitress simply touched base with our table and acknowledged the wait, but she visited the other table of customers in the room twice without so much as shooting us a glance. When the bill finally arrived it was higher than it should have been due to the fact that we were still being charged for those aforementioned pork chops as opposed to the pork tacos, which required yet another trip to speak to someone in order correct. In the end we received a round of drinks and 10% off the bill, but unfortunately I will most likely never return, nor would I recommend this restaurant to a friend, enemy, starving person, etc...

Well my fiance suggested we try this place out and yeah even though they hype TEX/MEX she said the best thing to order was the burger. Our service was OK, no major waits, no pesky flies and the music wasn't blasting either. I've worse experiences with that at the Bethlehem Brew Works. I aint too keen on the indoor seating most are bar tables with very high seating which is usually uncomfortable if your short like us. So we opted for a level table in a private section in the back, where there was another couple seated. Well, more like making out with some groping and leg and foot massage, the woman mumbled something and the guy said.. "They're not eating and besides it's a bar what do you expect, where the fuck my beer !" Bikers, gotta love em. Our waitress recommended the burger I tried which was the Mex. It had Avocado, Chipotle Mayo, and sweet onion marmalade..my God that was yummy. She asked if I liked spicy so I was expecting a burn, but there was none, I had to add tabasco sauce to my burger. The Burger was decent enough but if I can learn how to make that marmalade I'd be set. I also tried their coleslaw, which was kinda heavy on the vinegar but that made up for the lack of spice in the burger. My fiance had the buffalo burger, she liked it. They also give at least a lb of fries. They are fresh cut and taste it. I used their ranch which was pedestrian at best. I only really liked that marmalade, although I think I'd give em another shot and try something else to see whether my star rating goes down.

We have gone back to the Riverwalck several times now, but no more. Have tried it with and without the kids. The service is always pretty slow, especially when it is hot and more drinks are needed. I agree with the other reviewer who stated that the Riverwalck Saloon destroyed her appetite for taco salads - how could a place that advertises itself as Tex/Mex screw up this classic so very badly? The Cobb Wedge I tried last time was made with a hunk of lettuce so tough that I needed a meat cleaver or electric knife to slice through it, so I was still hacking away at the wedge when the rest of my family was halfway done with their food. When I have tried a burger or barbeque, it does not have enough flavor. I end up trying every spice and sauce in the caddy hoping to spruce it up, but end up being disappointed. I also feel the price ends up being too high for the quality of food and the slow service. On a lighter note, after all these years, they have finally covered up the Lowe's Housewrap on the exterior and finished the restaurant renovation project - it looks great!

LOUD MUSIC and mediocre food. - When we first started going a couple of years ago because of the deck and the tables by the river in the back (nice!). - In the past year (since they've expanded......) we've been several times and each time the music was so loud we couldn't hear the people on the other side of our table. The waitress said she couldn't do anything about the loud music....... (The couple beside us left before they ordered.....) - The food is alright but not worth having music blasted at you no matter where you sit (front deck , dining room, rear deck) We like to be able to understand the people we're sitting across from without straining to hear over the music. - We've started going Platz's (by the Leighton exit of 476) that has a new menu, new rear deck (with umbrella's) this year and a nice level of music. We think the food is much better than the RS also.

Riverwalck had been at the top of our list of places for Sunday Brunch until last weekend. The change in chef is clearly shows. Hand cut french fries are no more and the nacho presentation was downright lazy. It is really too bad as previously this would have rated at 4.5 with the only other detractor is that there are times that the service left a little to be desired.

I eat here regularly, definitely the best food in the area in this price range. Best. Wings. Ever. Seriously. Everything I have tried there has been great, except the ribs left something to be desired, not a big fan of dry rub ribs. The large deck is great, and fire pits are nice. I did have a few service issues the first couple times there, but the food was so good I was willing to go back. Service has been good since.

Waited over 25 minutes for someone to even take our drink order despite our attempts to get the waitress's attention. We ended up leaving before ordering because the service was so poor.

This place could be a gold mine...but the service is TERRIBLE! The food is average at best. The Gumbo Yaya came out with either raw or over cooked dried out rice that was crunchy, seriously??? The bartender was my waiter for outside seating since they we so short on help. They are under-staffed especially in the kitchen. I appreciate the efforts of our servers but the owner is letting this place go to pieces. I keep coming back hoping it will get better but if anything it is getting worse. What a shame...this is my last visit.
