I love coming to Primos. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and always willing to go the extra mile. I'm always amazed at how fast my food is ready! They recently changed ownership and hired a bunch of new people, and even with all that going on they still offer up the best customer service I've ever experienced on a daily basis. And the food! Their roast beef is to die for, and this month they are serving the Pilgrim, which tastes just like Mom used to make. Delicious!

I love this place because it's so clean and fresh. Everything tastes like it was just brought out of the garden. The sandwiches are incredible and very different from subway. One bite and I'm hooked enough to that you don't want to to go back to subway. The bread is a lot more softer and it makes the sandwich feel a lot more real. I didn't like the chicken ceasar wrap here, though it's my favorite wrap when I go elsewhere.

Primo Hoagies... yes please! There is so much to love about Primo Hoagies -- it is hard to really gather it together and write about it. I'll sum it up and say this is a great place for a great sandwich! I've eaten here a few times, and it is a "go-to" place for high quality ingredients that taste fantastic. The spice isn't quite as spicy as I might like on the Diablo line, but I can live with that. Their menu is diverse and has many unique options, as well as the expected types of hoagies. The bread is something that I crave. Fresh, hard-crusted Italian style bread that is hard to find out here in Pennsyltucky. I will certainly be returning to Primo!

I love Primos. Fresh cut meat, great bread, "safe" sandwiches (not much adventure or spicy, even on Diablo). It's lack of adventure puts it at the top of the standard Italian hoagie joints, but it's not the most compelling option. Recommended for a quick lunch. All over the region so you know a great hoagie is never too far away. I'm also biased because of my listening to 94WIP--inundated with advertisements for this place.

Frozen Stale roll. Gross meats. Rude staff. Only people from the main line think Primos is good. They just dont know any better , Primos plays off this. Their sandwiches are terrible. Overpriced.

I was disappointed that they didn't have any salads. I understand that they make hoagies but no other option. So, instead, I had a chicken Cesar wrap, which I loved. They put on red peppers which was a nice surprise. The dressing was delicious and the meal was satisfying. Although I should mention I was starving as I was helping put up a fence. The one time in my life I was performing manual labor. haha I will definitely check out more hoagies from here.

As good a a chain can get. The recently made their bread a bit softer to appeal more to the Main Line WASPs but still very solid sandwiches. Order the Nellie or any of their diablos. You won't be disappointed! Aside from using good bread, they also use high quality meat and cheese. The lettuce tomatoes and onions are always fresh too. However, don't be fooled by their "prosciutto" which is actually the same American-style ham you would find on a ham and cheese sandwich. In America, it's a no-no to call American ham prosciutto unless it's prosciutto crudo (dried/uncooked). I fell for this once and I would have perhaps been mad if the sandwich wasn't still so dang good!

I like Primo Hoagies for the quality and taste. They are so much healthier than Subway. This particular location is clean and service was friendly. I ordered the classic Italian, primo size with everything on it. The ingredients were very fresh and love that. Although Primo Hoagies is on the pricier side for hoagies, but you get what you pay for.

Food quality is great. I am not a huge fan of the hard seeded rolls; however, I can overlook thy problem. I like their cold sandwiches a lot more than their hot sandwiches. It is also more expensive than other hoagie places.

The good: Chances are you will find a hoagie you will like...and some of them are really good! The not so good: Some of them tend to be dry, and you need $10 at a minimum for a sitdown lunch...which is getting up there for a "sandwich" lunch. I would say, try it, and you will decide if it is worth the money to come back. I only go when a colleague is already going, otherwise, I stay away. Service is okay.

Five stars all the way. Fresh ingredients, fresh rolls, superb amount of meat and cheese on their hoagies. I have never been disappointed in their food or service.

A friend of mine brought Bada Booms for lunch. They were delicious, lots of meat, great bread- all the fixings. I told my husband about the great hoagies and off we went to the store in Paoli. He had the Italian, I had the Turkey Diablo. Not sure what this place looks like during rush hours during the work week, but on Sunday it seemed to be a long wait for a couple of hoagies. I get that they slice the meats and cheeses to order. It's a little lumpy- you order and you can pay then, but then the guy who gives you your sandwiches asks you if you paid...they could stamp the orders PAID...it's just a bit odd. The hoagies are great, just wish that take out was easier. Even those who had called in, still had to wait for the orders to be done. Maybe it was just an off day. Great food, service could be better and smooth.

Excellent hoagies and priced right. Yes, it is a franchise but don't let that discourage you from trying this place.

What you would expect from a Primo's. Solidly executed high end hoagies on Sarcones rolls. A bit on the dry side, a lack of hot sandy options and the high price keep me from giving them five stars.

These are Hoagies like I remember as a kid. Fabulous sesame rolls, lots of meat and vegetables and they don't get any better than this! My favorite thing here is the Veggie Diablo- eggplant, Provolone cheese, and Broccoli Rabe with a big, spicy Long Hot pepper. The owners and people who work here are really nice too. definitely order ahead of time. It can be a long wait and no place to sit.

Very, Very delicious hoagies. And I loooove hoagies. I've lived in Paoli for only a few months and didn't even know this delicious hoagie shop existed until two weeks ago. The ingredients are very fresh. It gets crowded here but the wait didn't seem that long. I have been dreaming of proper hoagies ever since I moved back to PA from CA and Primo's does not dissapoint.

I just had the Sharp Italian Primo Hoagie. EXCELLENT!! Spicy, fresh ingredients, delicious roll. The place is clean as can be and the staff are efficient. I will definitely be back for more! If you don't know the area, it's in the Paoli Village Shoppes near the train station. Go there!

Went to lunch at Primo for takeout on 3/6/09. Ordered the Mild Italian - primo size. It was great. I originally thought I was only going to be able to eat half, but it was worth stuffing my face and sitting at my desk at work feeling bloated to finish it all in one sitting. The prices are great for the portions you get and the service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely go back for lunch there again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
