Me and my boyfriend had lunch at Baileys. The food and the service was absolutely fantastic. What a wonderful experience and an excellent price!

I've been here a ton, but I've gotta knock this place down a star. It's kind of unfortunate. There's not a lot of options in the Mount Pocono area and Bailey's has always been pretty hit or miss but I think they've gone downhill recently. Service is always an adventure. It can be very good and you can easily get the opposite. The opposite being you may never get a refill of whatever you are drinking. Oh well. You can't win them all. It's definitely not a cheap place and I'm not terribly impressed with the food quality. At best, it's pretty average. I thought the burgers used to be decent but they only cook them very well done. Don't even bother ordering medium or medium rare -- they only cook 'em one way. They also changed their calamari and I prefer the older version. The place does get packed at times so be warned. I'm sure I'll be back, but we definitely do not come here as frequently as we used to. On the plus side, they do have pretty good desserts.

Food was trifling. 4 of us when to lunch all of our meals were horrible. On a good note our server Gillian was amazing. Thank god at least we didn't have horrible food and horrible service

Out of towner's here so maybe small town places are good for the locals. This place was dark and dingy. Carpets and tables have a good deal or wear and tear and servers were slow. We all ordered something different, pulled pork was more like puréed pork. Hot wings and ribs were dry and the thick coating of BBQ was obviously done in an attempt to add moisture. Seafood platter was three shrimp, two scallops and a raw piece of talapia with an attempt to add flavor as they sprinkled old bay on the top. Salad bar if you could call it that was not cold and since Mom always said to end a negative with a positive I will say the blue cheese dressing was homemade according to our server and it was pretty darn good.

Food was great. Service was not. Service was slow and server went MIA for most of the meal. Took forever to get our bill. Had the 1/2 burger with american cheese, bacon, and fried onions on a pretzel roll. Stinkin' delicious! Tomato on the sandwhich was one paper thin slice. Bride had a Sampler platter with ribs, london broil, and brisket. Kitchen knocked it out of the park. We thought the food was a good value for the money.

I've gone to Bailey's on several occasions in the past and have always enjoyed it. However, today will most likely be my last. Stopped in for lunch and ordered a drink, appetizer, and an entree; nothing crazy. Started with a red Sangria. First off, way too sweet. Tasted like it was made with sour mix also. Not horrible, but just not what I expected. Second, a side Caesar salad. Dressing was watered down and lacked flavor. Next up, chicken quesadillas. Clearing frozen and ordered from a supplier. Chicken was over-processed and had lots of rubbery pieces. YUCK! ...hoping the entree is better at this point. Ordered steak fajitas. There was so much oil that the peppers, onions and steak was sautéed in, I could have used the oil to sauté another two orders!! And being a little picky, they don't come with cheese or pico de gallo or lettuce; you'll have to order those separately if you can find your server. My dining companion got the BBQ Brisket sandwich. The portion size was relatively small and the brisket was weak in flavor. So the positive stuff. Sweet potato fries were really good! The tortillas for the fajitas were fresh and hot and the beef barley soup I tasted wasn't bad. At the end of the day, we paid way too much money for a less than stellar meal. I do hear the brunch is very good though. I gave two stars because I'm hopeful it will get better at some point, otherwise it would have been one star.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Menu looked promising with some good variety. Started out with chicken noodle soup, which turned out to be all dark meat. It was disgusting, I sent it back. The steak was "alright" for the money, but Outback, etc. has better quality meat for similar money. Server was attentive. Décor in the restaurant feels very 1990s. The whole experience wasn't horrible, but I don't think I'd go back.

Worst BBQ I've ever had. Overcooked, tasteless and WAY to overpriced. We ordered a rib dinner, the table next to us ordered the same and got to choose between the rib styles and we didn't. When we asked our waitress she said that was not an option. Only good part was the deck was open and the check came quick so we could get out of there!

In simple and short review Baileys service is "ok" I usually call and reserve a table in advanced so if you just show up on a weekend evening like other restaurants you might have to wait a bit, However the waiters & food never seems to fail I tried their BBQ meats, seafood & steaks and don't see a reason to write a negative review the only thing I realized is every time I eat here I always have to ask for napkins & the tables need to be wiped down better.

.. Happy people make happy food, not just more happy people. That's evident here. Taking in the patriarch of the family with amusing conversation & music trivia, all members of staff created a memorable afternoon finished by healthy portions of good, solid food. I'll be returning.

Great place near Tobyhanna Army Depot. Large restaurant with a small salad bar and good selection menu. Menu doesn't include markings for gluten free diners but chef understands. Liked: PRIME RIB! Some of the best prime rib I've had in a very long time. There wasn't a lot of fat and it was on the outside. Their mashed potatoes were truly homeade and very excellent. Same with the au jus - most of the time, I don't even bother but I ate it this time. Their iceberg wedge with bleu cheese and bacon was generously sized and the dressing was also homeade. Same with the rice pudding. I'd go back again and with great enthusiasm. Didn't like: New server that was a bit slow and inexperienced. Great attitude though, just still learning. TIP: If you eat before 6 PM during the week, you can get the 8 oz prime rib for 13 bucks instead of 16. Great deal.

I have been seeing ads for this place everywhere so I thought I would give them a try... I was in the mood for some ribs and they said they had the best, that's why "opinions" were invented... To begin with I will say that I am still on a great streak for "great service." The waitress we had was fantastic and the other servers I could overhear at other tables seemed very good as well. This ups any review for me right away. The atmosphere was a bit old but clean and that's important. The appetizers we had were the cheese triangles which were very good. The sides with the meals were also very good and ample portions were served. As for my ribs they did not really excite me... the ribs themselves were not "fall off the bone" baby backs like I am used to... I am a snob on ribs as I have eaten some really good ribs in the past... It was a slow night so that may have attributed to it as well. But, there is no excuse for the sauce... I had the KC style which just did not fit well with the ribs... they have another version I should have gone with... The other meal at the table was a chicken dish which was done just right and tasty according to "the eater." Because of the good service and tasty sides I will give them another try and see how the steaks are.

HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. My father ordered a medium burger and it was raw and they wouldn't credit it. My sister ordered the pulled pork and it was so plain with no flavor. My sons chicken strips were so slimy and gross..I order a passion fruit margarita and it wasn't even passion fruit..and there was so much ice I couldn't even drink it. Just terrible food and service. For the price of everything it was not worth it.

Calling just a few hours before a big gathering on Friday allowed us to secure an entire room for a private gathering with friendly wait staff. After starting with the salad bar (not super-fresh, I'd suggest getting another appetizer), I opted for the half-rack of Kansas City pork ribs that were very tender and pretty tasty although the sauce was a little overly sweet. The ribs were (thankfully) about half the size of the enormous Dinosaur Bones beef ribs. We also went back for Sunday brunch (buffet is all that's offered) which gave a great variety of good food and was what bumped up this rating to 4 stars. Fresh fruit , lox, eggs Benedict, and made-to-order omelettes provide a nice variety of quality breakfast foods for a reasonable $12.95.

Thank heavens for Bailey's. Because none of the places that our GPS said existed actually existed, we spent a good forty-five minutes driving around, looking for a place to eat on Mt. Pocono that was a. not at our hotel and b. had somewhere we could sit down and relax. We drove by Bailey's three times in pursuit of other ends because we didn't think ribs were an appropriate meal that would make for a terribly romantic evening; but alas, we were crazed with hunger and dehydration. And I really didn't want to go to Pizza Hut. Their sign boasted the best ribs in PA. When in Rome...and we were not disappointed. We sat on the same side of a booth, drank a pitcher of Mountain Dew, two pitchers of water, and scarfed down two racks of ribs (we got to chose between Memphis, St. Louis, and Kansas City!), two sides of mashed potatoes, corn, cornbread, salad and coleslaw. In a last ditch effort to try to keep things sexy, we skipped the beans. The sides weren't awesome, but the ribs certainly were! Bailey's surely delivered for two ravenous, parched carnivores that needed to replenish their caloric supply before something disastrous happened. Also, this beautiful accident became an ironic ritual: romantic rib dinners have become a tradition! We don't skip the beans anymore, though.

On a recent weekend up to the Poconos, our family had dinner here. Things started off on the wrong foot, when we were greeted by a VERY unfriendly host, and while there was no line at all the lobby, visibly annoyed that we didn't have a reservation. Seriously? After waiting in the lobby for about 3 or 4 minutes (my daughter was counting), he came back, and said gruffly, "follow me". I guess we got lucky huh? Perhaps not. Throughout the night I thought "this place needs a Gordon Ramsey visit". We ordered a few different items off the menu, including their babyback ribs, pulled pork platter and several side dishes. The ribs, one of the house specialties, were on the dry side and nothing special. The pulled pork with carmelized onions was much better. Now, I'm not kidding, a side of rice pilaf...it HAD to be rice a roni from the box. Looked like it and tasted like it. Exactly like it. And the side of andouille red beans? It very much appeared and tasteed like a can of Campbell Soup beans w/ chunks of tasteless sausage. The service was very slow and awkward to boot. If someone asked me for a steakhouse recommendation in the Poconos..I certainly say one could do better.

Arr @ 6:45pm booths available in bar area. Service was efficient and timely . Ribs were excellent, tender and easy to eat( " not too messy") Recommend it without question.

I was really surprised at this place. It's really big and somewhat dated. That aside, the staff were friendly and responsive. The meats were delicious and it was a real bargain. I had the pork sampler - St. Louis, baby back and beef ribs. Big portion and low price. My friend had a strip steak and couldn't finish it either. A nice touch is that you can add toppings to the meats for no additional charge - $2-$3 elsewhere. My mac and cheese side was OK, not well seasoned. Dessert was a rich chocolate cake. It was terrific and big enough to split. I would recommend a nice glass of cabernet to go with the cake.

Stopped here the last night we were in the Poconos.. Were a bit timid because we had been subjected to some awful food earlier in the vacation. We had decided to stick with chain fast food places since they have to taste the same nationwide and the risk of being unpleasantly surprised was slim. Thankfully this one turned out to be pretty good. The atmosphere is old and musky which is fine. Our favorite bar back home is old and musky so i wasn't too worried about that. Besides, i go to restaurants to eat food not to rave about the decor and ambiance. Prices were awesome and the portions were insanely large. I wouldn't say it was the best quality food i ever had but for the cost and the amount you end up with, it's a major deal. Will definitely come again if we're in the area.

AVOID!!!! This place used to be good, many years ago, but not anymore. Ribs: Dry and meatless! Andoille Rice and beans: beyond disgusting. Baked Beans: Without a doubt, straight from a can Steak: I ordered it medium, got a seriously well done steak. Not worth a dime spent!

My husband and I have been going to Bailey's for about 19 years. Overall, the service has been better than bad, with occasional burnt ribs and overcooked steaks and inattentive service, but you take the good with the bad. Recently, the bad has now surpassed the good. At our last meal there two weeks ago, the waitress knocked over my husband's beer glass and it spilled all over. She made a very slight attempt to clean it up, so we attempted to clean it. She then served our meal on the very wet and messy table. She took the entire episode in stride and asked if we needed anything else. My husband said he needed a beer to replace the spilled one. At the end of the night, we paid, left her a very nice tip of a little over 20%. Once home, we found we were charged for both beers. Although it was not a huge amount, I called to speak to a manager. I spoke to a young woman who put me on hold for a long time, spoke to others while on the phone with me and then said I should call back to speak to a manager the next day. My husband called right back and spoke to someone else who took his number and said she'd have the manager call the next morning. When the manager, called the next day, she said the woman I spoke to the night before was a manager and should have taken the information and she apologized for everything that happened. To make it up to us, she'd send us a coupon for a free appetizer. We don't usually order appetizers, but since it was a gesture of good faith, or so I thought, I accepted. Well, the coupon never arrived. Bad service, false charges and inept staff has made us decide that we'll no longer be a patron of Bailey's.

I am visiting from NJ My boyfriend and I stayed at Paradise Palace. He asked the girl at the front desk where is there a good place to eat around here. She recommended Bailey's! We ordered for appetizers: New England Clam Chowder Spicy Pop Corn Chicken The appetizers was outstanding! Absolutely flavorful! Tasty! Along with the Vigrin Piña Colada absolutely amazing! For entrée we had the Filet Mingon Lobster Tail Mashed Potatoes Mac and Cheese Baked Potato Side of rice Ever item on the dish was mad perfectly! The best seating recommendation was at the gazebo! Perfect lunch! THANK YOU!

This was my 2nd time here. My family and I showed up an hour before closing. I have a strong feeling they spit in my food. (Had a gingival abscess pop up while there) Wine was a great price. Cook came out, looked dirty, and wasn't pleasant. Probably won't go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed at a nearby resort with restaurants that are super overpriced so we decided to venture out and give this place a try. If you are really hungry, this is the place to go! The prices are really SO CHEAP for the crazy amount of food you get. Happy hour is $1.50 drafts. Cmon. Enough said. Regular price is only $4.75. Again, enough said. The other drink specials aren't very far off from that price as well. My boyfriend got the Dino ribs. A whole rack is only $21.99 and are MASSIVE. Really meaty and really delicious. I got the combo; brisket, chicken, and ribs...I should've only gotten the combo with two but my boyfriend said that he'd eat some of mine...never even made it. Not only do you get the main entree you can get 1 signature side dish or two of their house sides in addition. Did I say that you get a lot of food already? Just in case, you get a lot of food. Our server was really sweet and the food overall was good especially for the price. Definitely taking doggy bags with us.

Work with the indcyar series and was craving some BBQ so decided to try this place even though the reviews were long the best. Service was not very good, they were pretty slow. Food came out in a decent amount of time though. Me and my worker both had the sampler with ribs, pulled pork, and pulled chicken. The ribs were dry and hard to finish, the pulled pork and chicken was better but doesn't come anywhere close to other BBQ I've had around the country. For $21 it was a good amount of food so no complaints on that but probably won't come back again.

Ribs were perfectly cooked, juicy and tender, not chewy at all. The crab lumped over chicken had an awesome sauce that was incredibly flavorful and memorable. The waitress and waiters were all incredibly attentive and nice. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back again.

Our family had a good experience at Bailey's. Went the for ribs. The full rack was enough for two of us... Helen was an attentive and friendly waitress, as was the lady at the front desk... Pleasant and nice! We ordered the Kansas City style ribs which was juicy and fell of the bone and had a nice spicy taste, that could have been ginger... Tried the beer sampler... Liked the light one... The IPA was quite bitter to my taste, you might like it... The cider beer was ok if you don't mind mixed beers and shandy beers. Overall a good experience, while visiting Pocono Manor with family and kids.

Overall this restaurant is a nice little gem in the Poconos, but the service was slow and the pace of the meal once we got our food was rushed. The waitress seemed to be spread way too thin with regards to the size of her section and her responsibilities in the kitchen. Having said that the food was VERY good! Would try it again due to the fact that I think we were just there at the wrong time. Just a bad night... We all have them!

Well, first impression was a usual restaurant-nothing too eye captivating; that's fine. Then there is a salad bar where you serve yourself; still fair. Then came the steak within 5 minutes of ordering. Normally you wait a while for your food, so I was curious why it took so quick to get here. I probably won't have minded too much about the wait, but when I saw the food my impression was a little different. They took some rib eye meat, and probably ovened it up and just put that on a plate-no salt, no pepper, no nice 'platter preparation/decoration'. Just a slab of plain meat on your plate, like someone really did not want to prepare this. It tasted fine-not the best I have had, but it could definitely be enhanced, but the smell was also a little upsetting. For a plain platter like that, with such little preparation I would say the prices are not fair and a little too high. There was also ribs which was 'meh' by my taste. I have tried Dino's and I hands down say those are way better. At least the two mini carrots it came with rested nicely on the plate.

I really like this place. The food, service, & drinks were all great. The salad bar could be a bit better (there was no cheese) but it was good, otherwise. A bit pricy, but for the food/service QUALITY, I actually thought it was deserved. I had steak fajitas and salad bar. My other side was Spanish rice. The bf had a very juicy steak with an add on of crab, which I had more than a few bites of each. :) He also got soup and mac n cheese as his sides. Oh--- and try the cheesecake! It's amazing.

This place was a let down for being a "steakhouse". The waitress didn't tell us anything about the specials or menu she didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked. My boyfriends broccoli wasn't even cooked or par boiled, or steamed. It was just warm and still hard. It wasn't that busy on Sunday night. Just wasn't impressed.

My girlfriend and I went to Bailey's. The parking lot was packed, which typically means it is a good restaurant. Bailey's is a steakhouse and if I were you, get a steak!! I had a filet mignon with spinach, which was delicious. The mac and cheese was okay (think velveeta). My girlfriend had ribs, the sauce on them was okay but the ribs overall are mediocre. The atmosphere is nice and the service was very good.

Not an impressive menu for a steakhouse. The LondonBroil was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked pink center, tender and juicy. The ribs were not good, they had an odd taste but they were tender and fell off the bone. the loaded mashed potatoes were phenomenal, great flavor, melted cheese across the top. They use some kind of vinegar in the coleslaw but its refreshing and different. The scallop appetizer is a bit pricey for the amount you get but the sauce is amazing. great atmosphere, I love eating on the back deck.

Cozy northeast lodge atmosphere. Food was average at best. Ordered a chaser salad and steak with loaded potato. The steak was not seasoned and chewy. The "loaded" potato was a baked potato with a few bacon bits and a sliver of cheese. We ordered rockslide brownie with Oreo ice cream for desert and what was brought to us was just a brownie. the server eventually explained that we need to ask for the "works" and the menus are over a year old and they don't even have half the things on them. We ordered Oreo ice cream with fudge as a side instead. The waitress forgot the fudge. When we talked to a manager she explained the menus are not out of date and the server lied. Would not come back.

We were in the mood for beef and Baily's was recommended by the desk person at our resort. Started out with the blooming onion, it was good but needs a bit of TLC .Entree comes with 2 sides, we choose a house salad tasty dressing and baked potato. My steak and my wife's prime rib were excellent, cooked exactly as ordered. Friendly, efficient service. Happen to hit happy hour so our drinks were 25% off! We would return when next in the area.

We were really hoping to have a great dinner here. Service started out hectic but ok. I asked our server for suggestions and ended up ordering the lobster bisque to start. What was dubbed a "special occasion " menu item tasted like flour, tomato, and seafood flavor. Like eating a roux. I tried to take a bite of the lobster meat on top and couldn't bite through it. I left most of it and our server seemed offended when she saw it untouched and still charged us for it. The salad bar was pretty sparse with very questionable fruit. Really wanted to like and support a local business but this one needs a serious upgrade to be worth it.
