A fun restaurant in terms of decor and atmosphere as it is an old train station converted to a restaurant. Great space for banquets and such, and we've attended some events there with delicious catering. As for the restaurant itself, the food is good. Not as exceptional as it could be, but a better alternative to Applebee's and for the same prices. The fact that its a train station is more evident & fun in some sections of seating than others, so some might have a view of still-used train tracks while others only have dated decor. It's got good food though, and it's worth the experience!

Was visiting family in Bloomsburg PA and we went here for dinner. We were seated immediately. It wasn't to busy but it was a holiday weekend. Waitress was great. Very nice. Very pleasant. Very attentive. I had the tuna. It was done nicely. I like mine medium rare and that's what it was. Others had a quesadilla, salmon, and haddock. All were happy with their meals. The chicken wings for appetizers were also prepared very well. Tasty rice pudding for dessert.

Just had supper there tonight...supper, 6:30 on a Friday. I've been there several times in the past year, generally had a good experience. Not so good tonight. Called to make a reservation for the outside patio, was told it was booked with NO openings, so we ate inside. When we got there, there were outside tables that were EMPTY. I left that go. Inside was maybe half full at best. They have a new menu to us. My wife liked the turkey sandwich, which is now gone. Now she opted for the Crab cake sandwich, which she said was ok. My son had a cheeseburger, asked for it to be cooked to medium, was well done instead. I had the 3 pulled pork sliders. Tasted good, but were a bit dry and they didn't offer a dipping sauce. Finally, our waitress wasn't on the ball. Service was a little slow (ordering, drinks, checking up on us, refills). When we left, the very same tables, STILL empty and a couple others as well. It will be a while before I go back.

As I write this we are an hour into our meal and have not yet received our entree let alone the water we requested. We did have our salad with the classic artificial bacon bits which I ate because... We had our wedding reception here 25 years ago and quite frankly I think I can wait another 25 to return Once our meal came one of our party received the wrong dish and the other 3 did not finish there meals. This was without a doubt the worst meal of my life. Would have done better going to Micky D's

Love the outdoor patio and the live local music. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly and the service is okay.

Waitress did a great job. We were seated right away. Service was fast. Food was good. A good experience for an anniversary.

Atmosphere very nice. Food decent, hit and miss depending on what you order. Wait staff was nice, but SLOW food service when crowded. My husband's New Yorker cornbeef sandwich and regular fries were good. My Station Burger was very, very small. **Beware of unexpected surprise charges! I ordered a "station burger" and was charged an extra $1 for a slice of tomato (.50) and one piece of garnish lettuce (.50). When did a slice of tomato and a piece of lettuce for a burger cost extra?!?! That is just plain un-American!

Excellent meals, friendly professional service, cozy atmosphere.... Ribs were tender and fell off the bones, prime rib was better than high-end beef places, and chicken piccata was perfectly cooked and tasty. Higher quality than the prices suggest.

The male managers here are real assh*les. The service here and the lower paid staff are great but don't piss off the managers... They were staring at my friends boobs the whole time they were taking to her. Women should steer clear of this place the male owner manager is jerk!!!

Nice place for lunch. Service was fast but then they weren't busy. One comment I would have the waitresses when there is no business shouldn't sit and watch the people enter. Maybe they could sit in back so they don't look like used car sales people waiting to jump on the next people entering the dining area. On to the food. I had a Cobb salad with blackened chicken. It was new to the menu according to the waitress. The chicken was cut up in little pieces and placed on top of salad. The iceberg made up most of the salad like a whole head. One egg cut in half a few tomato pieces and some avocado. The price 12 bucks just not worth it. To me this was not a Cobb salad. It was a bowl of iceberg with a small amount of chicken. My wife had a cup of oyster stew and a cheese sandwich. That was just ok.

I went there Friday night December 26, 2014 for comedy night. Food was very subpar especially for the price. I had a chipoltle chicken sandwich and fries. Was not good at all. Comedians were awesome. Service was horrible took forever to get food and drinks. Seemed like place was very unprepared for event. would not ever go back to eat. only for comedians.

This restaurant is very cool in a converted railroad station. The kids really got a kick out it. Took about 5-7 minutes before we were greeted the hostess walked past us at least twice along with 3-4 waitresses. They are very understaffed as our waitress was also bussing and cleaning tables while tending to many tables full of customers. Our waitress apologized and was so friendly. She brought bread right away the fresh made garlic butter awesome! We ordered mild wings to start. They were great. I wasn't a fan of the salad that came with the meal they automatically put on bacon bits (not a fan) and the dressing wasn't very good. I ordered the rotisserie chicken which was very good and flavorful. They ran out of baked potatoes so I was served potato wedges with Parmesan cheese. (Didn't care for the cheese but it was easy to brush off). My husband ordered the rack of Ribs with fries. He's hard to impress and he thought they were great! My oldest son got a burger and fries. He was very pleased with his meal. The other two children ordered the chicken fingers and fries both were happy with their meals. Dessert really hit the spot. I ordered the Peanut Butter fudge ripple pie which was out of this world. My husband and kids shared the HUGE brownie sundae. I had a taste and it was absolutely delicious! Overall the atmosphere was great and the food was good. Our waitress was wonderful but They do need to hire additional staff to improve the service.

Stopped in last nigh after first trying to get into the recently opened Texas Roadhouse. Didn't eat there because of a 3 hour wait. I remembered the Front Street Station so we ended up there instead. We arrived around 7pm and had no problem being seated although they were quite busy. We had a really nice time. We weren't rushed and our waiter was friendly and attentive. The menu has many varied items to suit any pallete. The food was delicious. We shared the sea food sampler appetizer and two of us had the Prime Rib and the other the Filet. The Prime rib was flavorful and tender as was the Filet. The sauce with the filet was very tasty. Each was cooked to order medium rare as medium rare is supposed to be, i.e a little pink in the middle. Dessert hit the spot and we left after a leisurely 2 hr dinner. Well worth the visit and we will return.

Not really sure why this place is getting knocked down so much...our group of 25 had nothing but a wonderful experience here. We got to sit in the actual traincar, which was such a cool and unique experience. Our group was very rowdy, with many requests, and the two servers handled every one of them with a smile. They give you delicious warm bread with a home made butter herb spread, along with crackers and a homemade cheddar cheese spread too...we couldn't get enough of that! Everyone loved their house ales, and the food was wonderful all around too. It was hot, and even had a gourmet appeal to it. I ordered the "small plate" crab cake...hardly small! It came with a jumbo lump cake (nearly all meat), two sides, and ice cream for dessert for only 14 dollars! Absolutely no person in our party was dissapointed, and we will keep this place in mind for further family reunions to come.

Just happened to be passing through Northumberland, trying to avoid RT15 through Lewisburg (would not recommend it). Hungry for lunch around noon, I did a quick yelp location search and found the front street station. Hopefully I am not duplicating prior reviews, but the restaurant is an old railroad depot that was converted to a restaurant a long time ago. This means everything seems very old and a little grimy and dirty. I like how little seems to have been touched with the old station itself, we sat inside the old ticketing booth, complete with the bar windows and views of the rest of the restaurant. the floors are crooked and the doorways are small. Our table was clean but there was no support in the chair I sat in, expecting my bum to fall through to the floor. The food for lunch was very good. When you sit down, the hostess drops off a basket with various wrapped crackers and two scoops of spreadable cheese. And also as you sit down, hostess immediately asks if you'd like a drink. I thought this was great service. The crackers help take the edge of hunger away and most people know what they'd like to drink before opening up the menu. The food was also very good. I had the Bayou Route burger, topped with homemade blue cheese. Very chunky and good. The wife had a Reuben and the corned beef was excellent. I can strongly recommend this place for lunch. Overall, service was a little slower than I liked, but that may have been just me as this was a midpoint of a six hour drive.

My wife and I went here on 10/08/2010 while on an Anniversary overnight trip. Everything on the menu looked great, but we had to limit ourselves to one dinner each. She had the grilled (or blackened, not sure) Mahi-Mahi with avocado & spicy salsa. Both the piece of fish itself and the sauce were great. I had a grilled tuna steak with wasabi and fresh ginger for toppings. It was also excellent. I was afraid it would be overcooked, so i ordered it pretty rare. It was rare! I sent it back to be cooked a little more and it came back perfect. The service by Essie was excellent. My only regret is that I don't live anywhere near this restaurant, so It will be rare that I go there.

I've been to this place a few times over the past 20 years. The restaurant is actually a train station converted into a railroad eatery. The most recent visit was with my parents and my two sons. We had lunch here one Sunday a few weeks ago. The food was good, although the portions were a bit small for the price we paid. The staff was certainly friendly, especially since my dad spilled his glass of water all over the table.

The setting of this former railroad depot should have been a highlight, but the effect was dampened by dingy tablecloths and chairs whose stained and fraying upholstery had seen better days, as well as the fact that we were actually eating on the station's platform, which had been walled in. (An actual railroad car, which would have been far more interesting to eat in, seems reserved for private events.) I would have preferred it just be a no-frills casual diner setup, rather than trying to look more formal but looking tired instead. The fascinating memorabilia in the form of posters and other decorations on the walls saved the experience from being too uninspiring. The waitstaff was perfectly fine - no complaints there. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the food. The high point was the ice cream. Scallops were overpriced and overcooked. Rotisserie chicken was too salty and its coat of black char made for an unappetizing presentation. Sides were ordinary and reminiscent of an institutional menu. Overall, not a good value. I won't be returning anytime soon, though the place looked like it was popular for groups and gatherings.

Nice rustic train depot and cars converted to a restaurant. Took another couple there for a surprise birthday dinner, with a restaurants.com coupon. Wine list was perfectly adequate, we split a reasonably priced bottle of white, We had appetizers - excellent! Go for the appetizers, seriously. They're well priced and perfectly presented. The seafood appetizer for two had fried calamari, not usually one of my favorites but the dipping sauce was great. Lump crab and shrimp rounded it out. The shining star though was the mussels. A giant bowl swimming in a garlic broth, with toasted bread for dipping, I could have eaten this all day. Entrees - we all had seafood which was cooked just right. The barbecue sampler plate had excellent sauce. Side dishes plebeian at best. Dessert - uneven. The tiramisu was quite good, easily an 8. Rice pudding, about a 7. The peach melba sundae tasted off, and couldn't be finished. Though the birthday celebrator asked for apple pie, they wanted to serve a sundae for two instead which while quite large, was only all right with an adequate brownie and some ice cream with whipped cream (why not just let the birthday person have the dessert of their choice free, I have no idea, at least they didn't sing happy birthday without asking which we declined). :) Coffee was good, as was the espresso. This could be a 4 star restaurant with just a little bit of work, though business was slow on the Sunday afternoon we were there.
